Episode 182: The Lake of Rage
After saying their goodbyes to Kiyo and his newest Pokémon, Tyrogue, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Tracey, Meiko, and the Pokémon continue on their way right until they made it to their destination.
"Mahogany Town! We made it!" Leaf said.
"Not as long it was when we were heading for Olivine City, but it was worth it," Sora said.
"You can say that again. But it was quite a thrill," Tracey said.
"Sora, Kairi, Tracey, Ethan, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf!" A familiar voice called out. They turned to see Lyra and Marill waving at them.
"Marill, Marill!" Marill said.
"Lyra!" Sora, Kairi, and Ethan said.
"Oh, it's so good to see you! Sakura wanted me to say that she says hi," Lyra said.
"When did you see her?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Just a few days ago. Kris and I bumped into her and she filled us in about taking her leave of your group, and going on her own journey," Lyra said.
"Is Kris with you?" Kairi asked.
"She's at the Pokémon Center, probably doing some singing" Lyra said. She led the group to the Pokémon Center, Kris was singing a song just like Lyra said she was. She was holding a microphone and dancing along with Wani-Wani and Little Pink.

Everyone all applauded her.
"Thank you all so very much!" Kris said, doing a bow. She spots her friends.
"Hello, everyone! So glad to see you," Kris greeted.
"Hi, Kris," Ethan greeted.
"Hello, Ethan," Kris greeted back. She noticed Meiko with the group. "Excuse me, but who are you?"
"Hey, I didn't even notice you until now," Lyra said.
"Oh, we didn't get a chance to introduce her," Sora said.
"I'm Meiko Mochizuki, and this is Little Mei, my Meowth. It's nice to meet you," Meiko said.
"Nice to meet you, too. And your Meowth is ever-so adorable!" Kris said.
"Meowth," Little Mei said.
"And my name's Lyra, and this is Marill," Lyra said.
"Marill, Marill," Marill said.
"Say, I was amazed by the performance you did, Kris? Are you a pro singer?" Meiko said.
"I'm hoping to be someday," Kris said.
"Like most of us, Kris and Lyra are Keyblade wielders, too," Naminé said.
"She knows?" Lyra asked.
"She knows. They were attacked by Heartless when we met them," Ethan said.
"We're glad you're okay, Meiko," Lyra said.
"Also, I have one, too," Naminé said.
"Really?" Kris and Lyra asked.
"It's true," Riku said.
"It was quite a surprise to hear about the Heartless. And along my time with them, they also filled me in on the Nobodies and Organization XIII," Meiko said.
"Speaking of which, you didn't see two people wearing the Organization's black coats, did you?" Sora asked.
"No," Lyra said.
"Me neither," Kris said. "Why?"
"We actually met two of them, and one of them had and Espeon and an Umbreon, and two Keyblades," Sora said.
"Not only that, but the other one used the Keyblade I used to have and used it to fight off a bunch of Nobodies," Ash said.
"So, he let her have it," Leaf said.
"Her?" Lyra asked.
"One of them is a girl," Leaf said.
"I just don't think they're the enemy," Ash said. "Don't ask me why I would think that way, but it's just a feeling I had." Kris and Lyra just looked at him, but they had to trust him on that. She decided to change the subject.
"I take it that you're here for a Gym battle, Sora," Lyra said.
"Yes," Sora said.
"So am I," Ethan said. "Also, we thought of heading up to the Lake of Rage just north of the town."
"The Lake of Rage? What for?" Kris asked.
"I think I know. It has a lot to do with the mysterious Gyarados that has people talking," Lyra said.
"Yeah. We thought we'd check it out," Sora said.
"You know, I'm quite curious," Lyra said.
"I would like to get a sketch of it!" Tracey said.
"So let's go have a look," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
With that matter settled, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Meiko, and the Pokémon heads north of Mahogany Town and traveled right up to the Lake of Rage.
Upon reaching it, they saw how peaceful the lake looked despite it's name.
"So this is the Lake of Rage," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"The lake should be filled with Magikarp, so I heard," Tracey said.
"Say, Ethan, just how unusual is this Gyarados you were talking about?" Riku asked.
"I'm not a hundred percent sure if it's true or not, but from what I heard, this Gyarados is a completely different color than a normal Gyarados," Ethan said.
"A different color?" Sora asked.
"That's what I heard," Ethan said.
All of a sudden, the red Gyarados emerged from the water with a roar.
"That Gyarados is red!" Sora exclaimed. The Gyarados attacked the group with a Hydro Pump. Everyone dodged. "This Gyarados is out of control!"
"Maybe one of us should weaken him in battle and catch him in a Pokéball," Kairi suggested. The Gyarados attacks again with a Dragon Pulse, making everyone yelp as they went flying. Sora stepped forward.
"Okay, let's do this! Pikachu, you know what to do!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded as he stepped forward. The red Gyarados attacks with a Flamethrower.
"Dodge it, Pikachu!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodges the red Gyarados's Flamethrower. "Use Electro Ball!" Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and sends it at the red atrocious Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. The red Gyarados came at Pikachu with an Ice Fang, hoping to land a hit. "Dodge it and use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed a powerful Thunderbolt, shocking the red Gyarados. It hurt him, but it wasn't enough to bring him down.
"It's still standing after taking that?" Ethan asked.
"It is," Ash said.
Unknown to them, Lance has arrived and watched Sora and Pikachu in action.
"Thunderbolt again, Pikachu!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed another Thunderbolt, hitting the red Gyarados again, but it results in a paralysis. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. The red Gyarados flows inside and it wobbles around very violently. Sora knew it wasn't going to stay in very easily, and he was right, because the red Gyarados came out with a roar.
"It wasn't enough," Meiko said.
"Thunderbolt again!" Sora called out. Pikachu unleashed another Thunderbolt, shocking the red Gyarados again, bringing him down. Sora took out another Pokéball and threw it. The red Gyarados flows inside and it wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep the red Gyarados with him, so he chose to send the red Gyarados in exchange for Wyrdeer. "This is weird. That Gyarados didn't dodge or anything."
"I thought it was strange, too. It was like it didn't know how," Tracey said.
"It may be strange, but it's also troubling," a new voice spoke. They all turned to see Lance approaching them.
"Oh my gosh! Fabu-Lance!" Kris exclaimed as she almost faints.
"Lance? As in Lance of the Elite Four?! The strongest member!" Sora exclaimed in shock.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Yes, I am Lance. And I know who you are, Sora. Bruno, Agatha, and Lorelei were all present during the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League and we witnessed your victory. You were more skillful than I remember," Lance said. Sora was awestruck that Lance knows about him.
"I have to say, it's a privilege to meet you," Sora said. "What are you doing here?"
"I came here to do some investigating of the strange occurrence here in the Lake of Rage. And from what I have seen, the way the red Gyarados was behaving only confirmed my fears," Lance said. Sora and his friends were worried that something wasn't right.
"What do you think is going on?" Kairi asked.
"I have a few leads, but I have a grave suspicion that the Magikarp here are being forced to evolve," Lance said.
"Forced to evolve? How?" Riku asked.
"I have been picking up a strange radio transmission coming from somewhere in Mahogany Town. And I think you can be a great help to me, Sora," Lance said.
"How can I help?" Sora asked.
"The way you battled in the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League has trulty impressed me, but that's not the reason why I require your help. I have heard stories of one of two young individuals matching your description has foiled Team Rocket's schemes. And I fear Team Rocket may be involved in this," Lance said.
"You can count on us, Lance," Sora said.
"Yeah, we can have better luck if there were more than the two of you," Leaf said.
"We'll join you, Lance," Riku said.
"I understand. I'll meet you in Mahogany Town," Lance said, letting out his Dragonite and rode on it. Dragonite flew ahead of them.
"If Team Rocket is involved, then we have to do our part to foil their plan, whatever it is," Sora said.
"Sora's right. Those guys can't just do what they want," Ash said.
"Because we won't let them," Kairi said.
"You guys foiled Team Rocket's schemes in Kanto, and back in the Slowpoke Well," Leaf said.
"I heard you brought down Team Rocket's reputation," Meiko said.
"Well, it's about to go down even further," Sora said.
"Back to Mahogany Town," Riku said.
"Let's go," Sora said.
With that said, the group started to rush back to Mahogany Town when a bunch of Heartless appeared before them. They appear to be Shadows, but they're wearing Team Rocket's uniforms. Instead of the R logo, it was the Heartless symbol. These Heartless shall be known as the Shadow Rocket. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra quickly summoned their Keyblades and engaged the Shadow Rockets as they came at the Keyblade wielders with their claws ready to slash at them. Riku started things off when he destroyed one of them. Kris casts her blizzard spell, hitting some of them as Lyra slashed on in half, from the head to the torso. The Shadow Rocket splits in half before it dissolves into darkness. Ash and Ethan dealt with one squad of the Team Rocket themed Heartless as Leaf and Lyra dealt with another. Naminé casts a fire spell, hitting one and Kairi casts a spark spell, shocking them. Sora swung his Kingdom Key around as the Rocket Shadows tried slashing at him. Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, and Marill held their own. Marill fires a Bubble Beam as Angel fires a Swift. Eevee fires Shadow Ball as Pikachu slashed at a few of them with an Iron Tail. They kept on fighting the Heartless right until the last of them were wiped out.
"Those Heartless getting in the way didn't help much," Ash said.
"Anyone noticed that they wore Team Rocket's outfits?" Lyra asked.
"Even the Heartless lacked fashion sense," Kris said.
"That's not important. What's important is we head for Mahogany Town and meet up with Lance!" Sora said.
"He's right," Riku agreed. "Let's go!"
They started to run again as they dismissed their Keyblades after fighting the Heartless.
Meanwhile, Jessie, James, and Meowth are sitting in a break room with several Team Rocket grunts.
"Can't believe we got dragged into this mess, whatever it is," James whined.
"Stop complaining, James. Petrel and Ariana wouldn't bother with us if they didn't call for us," Jessie said.
"Probably to clean the toilets," Meowth deadpanned.
"Shut up!" Jessie hissed.
Meanwhile, Ariana and Petrel made contact with Giovanni.
"Is everything going as planned in Mahogany Town?" Giovanni asked.
"Yes, sir. The forced evolution scheme is going on so smoothly, and so far, no one has picked up on us," Ariana said.
"But the radio waves seems to only affect Magikarp and Gyarados for some reason," Petrel said.
"Regardless, send me the data once you have finished. And send me all of the Gyarados from the Lake of Rage," Giovanni ordered.
"Yes, sir," Ariana said.
Giovanni breaks contact with the Team Rocket executives.
"It's going smoother than I thought, Ariana," Petrel said.
"As long as no one interferes, we should be alright. After our past setbacks, we cannot afford any mistakes, especially against Sora and Kairi," Ariana said.
"The Heartless couldn't stop them," Petrel said.
"Not yet. But they will," Ariana said.
Meanwhile, out in the town, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Meiko, and the Pokémon spotted Lance and Dragonite entering the local market.
"There he is!" Leaf said.
"Let's go!" Sora said.
The entered the store and saw that there was a battle going on between Lance and the shopkeepers whom had a Mamoswine out.
"Mamoswine! Use Blizzard!" The shopkeeper ordered.
"Dragonite! Use Hyper Beam!" Lance ordered. Dragonite fired a powerful Hyper Beam, dealing some heavy damage on the Twin Tusk Pokémon. Mamoswine lands right on the shopkeeper. He approached the shopkeeper. "Where's the secret entrance?"
"It's over there! Under that cabinet," the shopkeeper said.
"Lance!" Sora said. Lance spotted the group standing there.
"Sora, good of you to come. It seems the source of the disturbance was coming from this very shop," Lance said.
"That explains why you went in, Lance," Ethan said.
"Dragonite, if you would?" Lance asked. Dragonite heads over to the cabinet and moves it out of the way. A stairway was discovered. "The secret entrance."
"What's so special about this place?" Riku asked.
"This used to be a ninja hideout in the old days. The ninjas cleared out many years ago. But someone is definitely using it now," Lance said. He looked at the group. "Let's split up. We can cover more ground that way."
"Right," Sora said.
"Dragonite and I will go in first," Lance said as he and Dragonite enters the stairway.
"Time to deal with that weird radio transmission," Ethan said.
"Let's take Lance's advise about splitting up," Sora said.
"How's it going down?" Tracey asked.
"Tracey, you're with Riku, Ash, Naminé, and Lyra. Ethan, Kris, and Leaf are with me and Kairi," Sora said.
"What about me, Sora?" Meiko asked.
"Meowth!" Little Mei said.
"You go and head for the police station and let them know what's going on," Sora said.
"You can count on me," Meiko said.
With that said, Meiko and Little Mei left the shop as the group have split up into two teams. Team 1 consisted of Sora, Kairi, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and their Pokémon partners, along with Togepi and the Pichu. Team 2 consisted of Riku, Naminé, Ash, Tracey, Lyra, and their Pokémon partners.
As they split up, they weren't aware of the glass eyes on the Persian statues. They're revealed to be surveillance cameras monitored by the Team Rocket grunts.
"Intruders!" One of the grunts exclaimed.
"They found our secret Johto base!" Another grunt said.
"Hey, it's those kids that are always ruining our evil plans!" Another grunt exclaimed.
"And it looks like they got friends helping them out!" The second grunt said.
"I don't care how many of them there are! I will say this in three little words! GET! THOSE! KIDS!" The first grunt ordered.
The grunts all moved out to deal with the intruders.
Meanwhile, a large Team Rocket member is receiving a transmission.
"This better be good!" The large Team Rocket member growled.
"Tyson, we have intruders in the base! We're intercepting them!" The grunt said.
"You better!" Tyson yelled as he cuts the transmission. "How in the hell did they find us?!"
He hears the sound of screaming as a explosion occurs behind him. He turned to see Lance approaching.
"Your operations ends here, Team Rocket!" Lance said.
"So you're Lance from the Kanto Elite Four! You don't look all that to me!" Tyson said.
"Don't be so sure. What do you plan to do with the radio wave?" Lance asked. Tyson just grinned evilly.
"We're planning on using it to control Pokémon evolution for our goal!" Tyson said. Lance didn't like how that turned out.
"What do you mean?" Lance asked.
"It's simple, pretty boy! We'll force Pokémon to evolve anytime and anyway we want! That way, we can be back on top of the criminal food chain!" Tyson said. Lance grits his teeth.
"Doing so will only upset the balance of nature! That is an abuse of power I cannot allow!" Lance said.
"You're welcome to try and stop me," Tyson said, taking out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. "Fearow! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and two Fearow came flying out. "Can you handle two opponents at once?"
Over to Sora's team, a bunch of Team Rocket grunts approached them.
"Well, look who's here. It's the brat duo for always getting in the way!" One of the grunts said.
"Payback time," another grunt said.
The grunts took out their Pokéballs and threw them. Out came a Spearow, an Alolan Raticate, an Alolan Grimer, a Golbat, a Drowzee, and a Magneton. Sora, Kairi, Leaf, Ethan, and Kris took out their own Pokéballs and threw them.
Out came Tyranitar, Miltank, Venusaur, Typhlosion, and Wani-Wani, ready to battle against the Team Rocket Pokémon.
"You're not getting in the way! Tyranitar! Use Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered.
"Miltank! Use Rollout!" Kairi ordered.
"Venusaur! Use Vine Whip!" Leaf ordered.
"Typhlosion! Use Flamethrower!" Ethan ordered.
"Wani-Wani! Use Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered.
The Pokémon unleashed their attacks and struck the Team Rocket Pokémon hard.
Over to Riku, Ash, Lyra, Naminé, and Tracey, they were up against a squad of grunts whose Pokémon consisted of a Houndoom, a Graveler, a Nidorina, a Sneasel, a Haunter, a Crobat, an Onix, and a Kantonian Muk.
Riku, Ash, Lyra, and Tracey had chosen Gliscor, Charizard, Marill, and Scyther in this battle.
"Gliscor! Use Stone Edge!" Riku ordered.
"Charizard! Use Fire Blast!" Ash ordered.
"Marill! Bubble Beam!" Lyra ordered.
"Scyther! Use X-Scissor!" Tracey ordered.
The Pokémon responded to their Trainers by unleashing their attacks on the Team Rocket Pokémon. They were all taken down. The Team Rocket grunts all growled in anger.
"We're gonna remember this!" The grunts all yelled as they called their fallen Pokémon back and ran.
Back over to Lance and Tyson, Tyson's two Fearow flew around, circling Dragonite like a pair of vultures circling a dead zebra as Dragonite stays in place.
"Dragonite! Use Hurricane!" Lance ordered. Dragonite unleashed a powerful wind, striking the two Beak Pokémon hard.
"Fearow! Use Hyper Beam!" Tyson ordered. The two Fearow unleashed Hyper Beam right at the Dragon Pokémon.
"Dragonite! Use Hyper Beam, too!" Lance ordered. Dragonite unleashed a powerful Hyper Beam, pushing the Hyper Beams of the two Fearow. Dragonite's managed to overpower the two Fearow's attack and struck them hard. "Finish them with Hurricane!" Dragonite unleashed another Hurricane, hitting the Fearow, knocking them both out.
"Oh no!" Tyson exclaimed. He became enraged.
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and their Pokémon dealt with any Team Rocket grunt that got in their way. The Moron Trio spots the squad.
"Well, it's the goody-good twerps. Should have known they'd stick their noses into our operations," Jessie said.
"They must be here to shut down the radio waves," Meowth said.
"Not unless we stop them," James said.
"Right! And while we're at it, we'll snatch Pikachu from them!" Jessie said.
"Yeah!" James and Meowth said.
Just before they could get further, smoke bombs goes off.
"Now what?" Ethan asked. He got his answer when three familiar laughter is heard.
"Prepare for trouble, this is as far you're gonna go!" Jessie said.
"Make it double, we're gonna steal the show!" James said with a rhyme.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Wobbuffet!"
"Oh, it's just you again," Sora sighed as he facepalmed.
"We don't have time to deal with you stupid idiots, so get out of the way!" Ethan said.
"If you think you're going to shut down the radio transmission, then you're gravely mistaken!" James said.
"Yeah, even do reach the main source, you'll never get in! Not even those Keyblades can help ya, because it's heavily guarded," Meowth said.
"So you came all this way for nothing," Jessie said.
"Well, that's what you morons think. We always find a way to get through," Sora said.
"Ugh, all that twerpish positive thinking is giving me a migraine," Jessie said.
"Same here," James said.
"So you kicked me for nothing, Jessie," Meowth said.
"Why are we even arguing about this? We should focus on getting Pikachu!" Meowth said.
"Right!" Jessie and James agreed as they took out their Pokéballs and threw them.
"Arbok! Go!" Jessie called out.
"You go in, too, Weezing!" James called out.
Arbok and Weezing both came out at once.
"Tyranitar! Let's go!" Sora called out. Tyranitar steps in.
"You too, Miltank!" Kairi said.
"Arbok! Use Crunch!" Jessie ordered. Arbok heads for Miltank to land a Crunch.
"Miltank! Use Seismic Toss!" Kairi ordered. Miltank grabs the Cobra Pokémon and jumped in the air, doing a roll. Miltank then threw Arbok down to the ground, dealing some damage.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Bomb!" James ordered. Weezing spews Sludge Bomb at the Armor Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Rock Slide!" Sora ordered. Tyranitar dodged and unleashed a Rock Slide at the Poison Gas Pokémon. Weezing is pelted by the rocks.
"Arbok! Use Wrap on Tyranitar!" Jessie ordered. Arbok wraps his body around Tyranitar and started to squeeze. Tyranitar then grabbed Arbok by the tail. The snake-like Pokémon just sheepishly smiled as Tyranitar just growled and threw Arbok down to the ground.
"Let's end this at the same time, Kairi!" Sora said.
"I'm right behind you, Sora," Kairi said.
"Tyranitar! Use Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered. Tyranitar unleashed a Dark Pulse, hitting Arbok and Weezing hard.
"Use Rollout!" Kairi ordered. Miltank rolls into a ball and rams into the two Team Rocket Pokémon, sending them back. "Angel! Use Swift!"
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
Pikachu and Angel unleashed their chosen attacks and struck Team Rocket hard as they go flying through the ceiling.
"We blew it again!" Meowth said.
"And after we got blown up!" James said.
"Luckily for us, Petrel nor Ariana were around to see it, because they'll have our heads," Meowth said.
"Oh, shut up, the both of you!" Jessie said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying. A star twinkles in the distance.
"That takes care of those three," Kris said.
"But didn't they say that the main generator can only be opened with two passwords?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah, they did. If they didn't know what it is, then someone does," Sora said.
"Lance and the others should know about this," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Right. Let's go," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Pichu," the Shiny Pichu said.
"Pichu," the Spiky-eared Pichu said.
The squad went to find Lance and their friends to inform them of the intel they've got.
Elsewhere, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Lyra, Tracey, and their Pokémon went through the hideout, looking for Lance and the rest. Just then, a horde of Shadow Rockets appeared before them. Riku, Naminé, Ash, and Lyra drew their Keyblades and engaged the Heartless.
Not too far, Sora, Kairi, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and their Pokémon heard the sound of Heartless being slained meant that their friends ran into some Heartless.
"Sounds like the Heartless are here, too!" Kris said.
"Let's help clear them out!" Leaf suggested.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Leaf, Ethan, and Kris summoned their Keyblades and took on the attacking Heartless. Kris managed to slash through one of the Shadow Rockets as she stood along Lyra.
"Nice of you to show up," Lyra said.
Just then, several more Heartless appeared before them. This one all wore black and white stripped shirts, and black pants, and black shoes, and a black mask over the yellow eyes. They wore black berets. The Heartless emblem is on the front. They all held a money bag with the Heartless emblem. This Heartless is known as Burglar.
Another bared a resemblance to the Soldiers, but they all wore blue suits and fedoras. They had sharp claws and and shoes with curly toes. The Heartless emblem is on the chest. These are Heartless are all known as Gangsters.
Ethan came at a Gangster as it was about to slash at him. Kris has cut it down to size.
They fought the Heartless, using their skills and magic to fend them off. Just then, a pile of violet armor appeared before. The armor started to come together and stand. The helmet of the armor is being held in the right arm, and it carries a large lance in its claws. The Heartless symbol is right on the center of the chest. This Heartless shall be known as the Dullahan.
The Dullahan tossed its head up as it floats around, firing light purple lasers from the eyes. The body of the Heartless came at the Keyblade wielders and lunged its lance at them, but they dodged. Kairi casts a balloon spell, hitting it as Kris came and unleashed a fire spell, followed by a jab from her Keyblade.
Kairi uses her duplication spell on herself and made several copies of herself. The Kairi clones all lunged at the Dullahan, so it swung its lance at the copies, taking them out, but the real Kairi smacked the chest area.
The Pokémon even took part of the fight, but it pushes them aside. They refused to give up. Sora, Ash, and Ethan rushed at the Dullahan as it grabbed its head and unleashed light red energy all around. Sora, Ash, and Ethan each slashed at the giant Heartless at the body. Sora then jumped up and slashed the head, destroying the body of the Heartless. The body disappeared as the head just fell. A heart is seen floating up and it disappeared.
"Man, Heartless being involved, too? This is really getting out of hand," Ethan said.
"Yeah, but we'll have to worry about that later. Right now, we gotta get to the source of the problem," Ash said.
"Alright, let's go!" Sora said.
With that said, the group went off to find the source of the radio waves.
Meanwhile, Lance is confronted by Silver who has found him at last.
"Hey you!" Silver barked out. Lance stopped and turned to see the red haired trainer. "You're Lance of the Elite Four, aren't you?"
"I don't have time to chat! I have come to shut this place down before any more Pokémon suffers!" Lance said.
"I don't care about that!" Silver said and that struck a cord with the Dragon-type Trainer. "I only care about getting stronger! Eliminating Team Rocket is only a mere stepping stone compared to defeating you in battle!"
"Do you really believe you can become stronger just by defeating me?" Lance questioned.
"I do! And I am challenging you into a battle! All six of mine against all six of yours!" Silver challenged.
"This is a waste of time!" Lance proclaimed.
"You're not a coward are you? You're not afraid to battle me are you? ARE YOU?!" Silver shouted making the whole room echo. Lance sighs.
"Perhaps you will find out first hand," Lance said. "Show me everything you possess." Lance's Dragonite took its place in battle as Silver takes out a Pokéball and threw it in the air to let out his Feraligatr.
Over Petrel and Ariana, they were watching Sora and his friends up on the monitors.
"Those kids are better than Proton said they were," Petrel said.
"It looks that way," Ariana agreed.
"I guess I'll have to do the heavy lifting after all," Petrel said. "Don't wait up." He leaves the room to deal with Sora and his friends.
"Just don't be careless, Petrel," Ariana said to herself.
Over to Lance and Silver, Lance's Dragonite had taken down Silver's Gengar like it wasn't a problem. Silver growled with anger having to see his Pokémon fall and Lance not losing a single one.
"I assembled the strongest team possible and I still lose?! How is it that I end up with such weak Pokémon?!" Silver yelled.
"Your Pokémon did a splendid job, the problem was not them; the problem was you," Lance said.
"What?! What is that supposed to mean?!" Silver yelled.
"You should be able to work well with your Pokémon, but instead you had pushed them beyond their limitations," Lance explained. "You treat them as they were your tools for war. Pokémon are not tools for war; they are living creatures. The way you battle and the way you treated your Pokémon is proof of that. There is a trainer you should be taking notes from." Silver didn't like how that came out. He heard Sora say something like that before.
"So, you're just another bleeding-heart trainer, just like that one trainer I know," Silver snarled.
"I don't know why you would think Pokémon are nothing but tools and accessories, but you should love and care about your Pokémon more. That is how the unity of Trainers and their Pokémon should be," Lance told Silver. "Now, if you excuse me, I have a mission to complete." Lance took his leave of Silver, leaving him to sulk.
"I don't believe it. Could Lance be right? Am I so angry that I'm taking my frustration out on everybody I meet; especially my Pokémon? No! He may be strong, but he's weak-hearted. I am strong and I will show everyone how strong I really am!" Silver vowed in his thoughts.
Back to the group, they're confronted by Petrel who suddenly appeared before them.
"Well, well, well. Look what we've got here. A bunch little kids taking a stroll in our facility," Petrel said.
"And you would be?" Sora asked.
"The name's Petrel. And I'm the guy who's going to take you down!" Petrel said, taking out his five Pokéballs and threw them. "Go! Koffing and Weezing!" His Pokéballs opened and his Weezing and 5 Koffing came right out. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Skarmory!" Sora called out. Skarmory emerged from inside and ready to battle.
"You think using a Steel-type Pokémon can help you? Koffing, Weezing! Use Shadow Ball!" The Koffing and Weezing fired a barrage of Shadow Balls at Skarmory.
"Dodge them all!" Sora called out. Skarmory flew to avoid the Shadow Balls, but they were coming too fast for her. "Use Steel Wing!" Skarmory flew at Weezing with a Steel Wing, landing a hit.
"Use Smokescreen!" Petrel ordered. Weezing unleashed a smokescreen to cloud them. Everyone covered their mouths, not wanting to breathe it in. Skarmory's keen eye could just as easily spot them.
"Use Swift!" Sora ordered. Skarmory unleashed Swift and hits Weezing and the Koffing hard.
"Shoot! That Skarmory has Keen Eye as an ability," Petrel said.
"Use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Skarmory flew at Weezing with her talons slashing Weezing. "Okay, Pikachu! Thunderbolt on all those Koffing!" Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at the Koffing. They were all taken down.
"No way! I lost!" Petrel exclaimed.
"Where's the source of the radio waves?" Riku asked.
"Like I'm going to tell you anything," Petrel scoffed.
"You better consider it," Lance said, approaching them. They all turned to see Lance.
"Yay! Lance is here!" Kris cheered.
"But it doesn't matter, because I already know it," Lance said.
"What?" Petrel asked.
"Where is it, Lance?" Kairi asked.
"Deeper below. You'll find the main source there. And hurry before it's too late," Lance instructed. Sora nodded as he and his friends went off to find the source.
"Hey! Get back here!" Petrel shouted.
"Let them go! You wish to prove your power to me, don't you? I am giving you the chance to do it," Lance said. Petrel grinned evilly and anxious to achieve his dream."
"An opportunity to battle the Great Lance is too great an opportunity to pass up," Petrel said. "This is going to be fun."
Back over to Ariana, she had been observing the young Trainers and knew where they were heading.
"Dammit Petrel! You let those kids slip right through your fingers!" Ariana growled. "They're heading right for the source! I'll have to deal with them myself; and deal with Lance once I'm finished with those children."
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, and the Pokémon made it down to the source of the broadcast; it turns out they were using the electricity from the Electrode to do it.
"Are they using Electrode for their operation?" Lyra asked.
"Marill?" Marill asked.
"It looks like it," Leaf said.
"Now, we just have to pull the plug on their little project now," Sora said.
"I don't think so," a woman's called out from behind. The group turned to see Ariana glaring at them. "That fool Petrel was supposed to deal with you like he said he would; but at least I can clean up this mess for him."
"Who are you?" Naminé asked.
"I am Ariana. And like Petrel and Proton, I'm one of the four top executives of Team Rocket," Ariana said. "And now the formalities are over and done with, I will personally give such a lecture about interfering with the affairs of adults." Kairi stepped up.
"I can take you on, you witch!" Kairi challenged. Ariana laughed.
"Isn't this cute? A little girl is challenging me?" Ariana asked laughing. "Oh, this is going to be most enjoyable since you're going to be the first." Kairi turned to her boyfriend.
"Sora, I'll deal with her, you get those Electrode," Kairi said.
"Take her down," Sora said. He and the others went off to free the Electrode as Kairi took out a Pokéball to battle Ariana. She did the same thing.
"Go! Honchkrow!" Ariana shouted.
"Go for it, Angel!" Kairi shouted.
Angel rushes in to battle against Ariana's Honchkrow.
"Honchkrow! Dark Pulse!" Ariana ordered. Honchkrow fires Dark Pulse from its eyes.
"Angel! Dodge with Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel ran across the floor as Honchkrow fired Dark Pulse only to miss.
"Honchkrow! Pursuit!" Ariana ordered. Honchkrow quickly flies towards Angel and lands a hit on the female Eevee. "Now use Night Slash!" Honchkrow talons emits a dark aura, heading at her.
"Angel! Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel avoids Honchkrow's Night Slash and lands a hit with her tail.
Down below, Professor Sebastian and his fellow scientists were monitoring the Electrode's electric levels when suddenly, flames comes bursting through the doors, catching the scientists off guard.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Professor Sebastian exclaimed.
"Your science project is over," Ash said.
"You cannot be serious," Professor Sebastian scoffed only receiving a shock from the two Pichu. Despite feeling proud of shocking the scientist, they felt a little bit of pain, but it was worth it.
"We are," Ethan said. Tracey takes out his Heavy Ball and uses it to call out his Snorlax.
"Snorlax! Take this place down!" Tracey instructed. Snorlax slams into the lab, making the scientists retreat. Ethan turned to his Typhlosion and Sora turned to his Pikachu and both Pokémon nodded and destroyed the laboratory.
Back over to Lance, Petrel's Weezing had been defeated, much to the executive's dismay.
"Damn! I never stood a chance! First I lose to that little rugrat, and now this!" Petrel exclaimed. He calls back his Weezing and runs off. "I am so gone!" Lance and his Dragonite head down to the direction Sora had gone off. Back to Kairi and Ariana, the battle raged on as Angel and Honchkrow were neck-and-neck.
"Honchkrow! Dark Pulse!" Ariana ordered.
"Dodge and use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel had avoided Dark Pulse just when it was close for a hit. Angel fires Swift right at the crow-like Pokémon. Ariana calls back her Honchkrow and takes out two more Pokéballs at her disposal.
"Impressive, girl, but let's see how you handle two at once," Ariana said. "Arbok! Vileplume! Go!" The Pokéballs opens and both of her Poison Type Pokémon had entered the battle.
"If it's a double battle you want, then that's what you're going to get!" Kairi said, taking out another Pokéball. "Go! Ampharos!" The Pokéball opens and her Ampharos awaits instructions. "Ampharos! Thunderbolt on Arbok! Angel! Swift on Vileplume!" Ampharos and Angel fired their attacks right at their opponents.
"Arbok! Vileplume! Dodge and use Sludge Bomb!" Ariana ordered. Both poisonous Pokémon fired Sludge Bomb right at their opponents, but they had dodged the attacks. "Fire it again!" Arbok and Vileplume fired their attacks right at the two Pokémon. One of the attacks struck Angel, but it wasn't going to take her down.
"Angel! Swift again!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift and it struck the Cobra and Flower Pokémon.
"Vileplume! Razor Leaf!" Ariana ordered. Vilplume fired Razor Leaf and the attack struck both Ampharos and Angel hard.
"Raichu! Use Power Gem!" Kairi ordered. Ampharos fired Power Gem from the tip of her tail and struck Arbok. "Angel! Headbutt!" Angel landed a Headbutt on Vilplume's body.
"You'll pay for that, brat! Vilplume! Arbok! Sludge Bomb!" Ariana ordered. Arbok and Vilplume fired Sludge Bomb again.
"Dodge it!" Kairi called out. Both Angel and Ampharos dodged Arbok's and Vilplume's Sludge Bomb attacks. "Angel! Headbutt! Ampharos! Thunder Punch!" Angel rams into Arbok with her head and Ampharos gives an electrified punch onto Vileplume. "Okay, Swift and Signal Beam!" Angel and Ampharos combined their attacks and fired right at Vileplume and Arbok, knocking the both of them out.
"No! I lost to some little girl?!" Ariana screamed. She calls back both her Arbok and Vilplume. "I won't forget this, girl." She takes off.
Kairi went to join her friends, but before she got to move forward, Lance had approached from behind. Lance had been watching the battle closely he was impressed by her skills.
"Lance," Kairi said. "Have you been watching long?"
"Yes. And I was impressed by your skills. But, now is not the time," Lance said.
"Right," Kairi agreed. "Sora and the others should already be finished freeing the Electrode by now."
"Let's go," Lance said. Kairi nodded in agreement and went with the Dragon Type trainer.
Over to Sora, and the rest of the group, all of the scientists had been tied up, especially Professor Sebastian. Snorlax destroys the machinery, allowing the Electrode to escape and rolled their way to freedom. By the time they were done, Kairi and Lance had come to the scene. The Electrode rolls by them.
"Good of you to come along, but we already smashed all the sciencey stuff and all the computers," Sora explained.
"All of my research, ruined! My life's work had all been for nothing! My dream of controlling a Pokémon's evolution is still now only fantasy!" Professor Sebastian said.
"And that's how it's going to stay," Riku said.
"I can see your mission to liberate the Electrode was successful?" Lance asked.
"Just glad the broadcast had been terminated. The Lake of Rage should be going back to normal by now," Lyra said.
"It should. Team Rocket's plan had failed and the balance of nature has been restored before things had escalated," Lance said. Lance turned to Sora.
"Sora," Lance spoke.
"Yeah?" Sora asked.
"That red Gyarados you captured earlier. I have a request to ask of you," Lance said.
"Um, sure. What is it that you want me to do?" Sora asked.
"I want you to promise me that you won't treat the red Gyarados any different from any of the other Pokémon you have at your disposal," Lance requested.
"I promise. You can guarantee that I will treat Gyarados the same way I treat my other Pokémon," Sora vowed. "You can count on me." Lance smiled and rubbed Sora's spiky hair.
"I know you will," Lance said proudly.
Nearly a half hour later, the Mahogany Town police had arrived and arrested some of the Team Rocket grunts and all of the scientists taking role for their part of the project. And now Professor Sebastian was going to be facing severe charges for all of his illegal researches. Lance had left afterwards to the Kanto region to meet with his colleagues.
Team Rocket's evil plan has failed and everything should go back to normal. The next thing to do is Sora to have his Gym battle against the Mahogany Town Gym Leader and earn his seventh Johto Gym Badge. How will it go? Stick around if you wanna find out.
