Episode 192: Tohru Returns Home
After dealing with Team Rocket once again, and witnessing the Hisuian Qwilfish and Sneasel evolve into an Overqwil and a Sneasler, Sora became curious about Voltorb and Growlithe.
"Say, have you thought about evolving your Growlithe and Voltorb, Tohru?" Sora asked.
"I haven't to tell the truth. I wasn't certain about having any Pokémon evolving, that is until Qwilfish and Sneasel evolved," Tohru said.
"I know what you mean, Tohru. Pretty much almost every Pokémon I caught evolved except for Pikachu. Almost the same thing can be said with Angel and Togepi," Sora said.
"Why haven't you evolved your Pikachu into a Raichu, Sora?" Tohru asked.
"Well, it was after I battled against a Trainer calling himself Lt. Surge. He had a Raichu and that Pokémon was no push over. He beat my Ground-types and my Bulbasaur like it was nothing. So I knew Pikachu wanted to face off against any Pokémon as he is, so I respected what he wanted. Kairi did the same thing with Angel, so she gave her an Everstone," Sora said. "But I'm a bit curious to see what Voltorb and Growlithe's evolved forms looks like."
"I guess we're going have to make another stop to find out," Tohru said. As soon as the group made a stop, Tohru let out Growlithe and Voltorb and they looked right at him. "Do any of you have a Fire Stone and a Leaf Stone?"
"Plenty," Sora and Kairi said in unison. Sora took out a Fire Stone and Kairi took out a Leaf Stone. He hands them to Tohru and he placed them down.
"Okay, here goes," Tohru said. They touched the evolutionary stones and started to evolve. The group were awestruck by how they looked after they stopped evolving. The newly evolved Arcanine has a slightly different look. Its body fur is red-orange while its muzzle, mane, tail, eyebrows, and tufts of fur behind its elbows and around its ankles are gray, and the insides of its ears are light gray. The gray fur is made out of igneous rock components. Its cheek mane, ankle fur, and tail form into curls. Its elbow fur resemble wings. It has a large horn in the center of its head and three small horns between its head and ears. Its mane form into curled clumps at the back of its neck and large rectangular clumps on the sides and bottom of its neck. The rectangular clumps have light red-orange markings on them.
The newly evolved Electrode resembles the upside-down Pokéballs of the Hisui region, with a wooden pattern on its top half. Its eyes are large black holes inside a debossed pattern, resembling an angry glare. Its lower half is dark red with a constant frown along with a hole in the bottom.
"Eevee," Angel said, amazed.
"Isn't this just the coolest thing ever?" Sora asked as he and Kairi took out their Pokédexes and scanned the newly evolved Pokémon.

Arcanine Hisuian Form, the Legendary Pokémon
The evolved form of Growlithe Hisuian Form
Type: Fire/Rock
It snaps at its foes with fangs cloaked in blazing flame. Despite its bulk, it deftly feints every which way, leading opponents on a deceptively merry chase as it all but dances around them.

The evolved form of Voltorb Hisuian Form
Type: Electric/Grass
The tissue on the surface of its body is curiously similar in composition to an Apricorn. When irritated, this Pokémon lets loose an electric current equal to 20 lightning bolts.
"This is an amazing sight," Leaf said.
"Yeah. Hisuian Electrode and Arcanine. Totally different from the Electrode and Arcanine I have ever seen," Ash said.
"Thank you," Tohru said, smiling.
"Say, I just remembered something about Hisuian Qwilfish. I remembered in my history lesson that Hisuian Qwilfish evolved into Overqwil when it uses Barb Barrage 20 times. Did you do that more than once?" Tracey asked.
"We had some practice with that," Tohru confirmed.
"I thought as much," Tracey said.
They hear someone coming. Tohru quickly recalled Arcanine and Electrode; just in time to see a boy coming out from the bushes.
"Aha! I found a challenge!" The boy said.
"Um, who are you?" Tohru asked.
"Who I am is no importance to you! I am here to have a Pokémon battle! And the opponent I choose is you!" The boy said, pointing to Ash.
"Me?" Ash asked.
"Yes, you! So I wanna have a one-on-one battle against you!" The boy challenged.
"Okay, I'm going to accept your challenge," Ash said.
"Great! And here is the Pokémon I am going to use against you!" The boy said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "I choose you! Corsola!" His Pokéball opened and a Corsola came out. But this Corsola appeared to have its body bleached white with half-closed pink eyes and a perpetual frown, and its arms and branches have a distinctly semitransparent appearance to them; especially that its arms and branches have manifested from its body.
"That's a Corsola?" Kairi asked, taking out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Corsola Galarian Form, the Coral Pokémon
Type: Ghost
Sudden changes in climate and ocean temperatures have wiped out the Corsola living in Galar's oceans, transforming them into what we see today. Because of this, they are mistaken for stones and often kicked. If you kick a Galarian Corsola by mistake, it will curse you.
Kairi felt uneasy when she puts her Pokédex away.
"Well, that explains a whole lot," Kairi said. Kairi figured that Ash's opponent came from the Galar region.
"Choose yours now, and we can get started!" The boy demanded.
"Okay, here goes!" Ash said, taking out his Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Charizard!" Ash's Pokéball opened and Charizard came out, ready to go. "Okay, use Flamethrower!" Charizard fired a Flamethrower right at Corsola.
"Dodge and use Power Gem!" The boy ordered. Corsola dodged and fired a Power Gem, dealing some heavy damage. "Great! Use Shadow Ball!" Corsola fired a Shadow Ball right at Charizard.
"Dodge!" Ash called out. Charizard dodges Corsola's Shadow Ball by flying. "Use Flamethrower!" Charizard fired a Flamethrower right at Corsola.
"Power Gem!" The boy ordered. Corsola fired a Power Gem and they held on. Corsola kept on holding on right until it started to evolve as well. Corsola has become a coral-like Pokémon. The lower body of Cursola resembles that of Galarian Corsola, albeit broken apart to reveal an ectoplasmic "body" which has taken the shape of a ghost. This ectoplasm surrounds Cursola's core, which is a white sphere with a face like that of Galarian Corsola, and has an oval-shaped opening with three inward-facing notches where the core is. Two half-circle openings similar to eyes are located above its core. Together, the three openings resemble a screaming face with a sad or pained expression. On its ectoplasmic body, two small branches below the core serve as its arms and one small branch on its forehead serves as a horn. It has three long branches each on both sides of the head, and three more on its lower back.
"And who's that Pokémon?" Kairi asked as she took out her Pokédex again and scanned it.
Cursola, the Coral Pokémon
The evolved form of Corsola Galarian Form
Type: Ghost
Its shell is overflowing with its heightened otherworldly energy. The ectoplasm serves as protection for this Pokémon's core spirit. You'll become stiff as stone if you touch it.
"Yikes! And I thought he was creepy as a Galarian Corsola," Kairi said.
"I was hoping you were ready to evolve! Use Meteor Beam!" The boy ordered. Cursola forms a yellow ball of energy in front of its head. It then fires a yellow beam of energy from the ball at Charizard.
"Dodge it, Charizard!" Ash ordered. Charizard dodges Cursola's Meteor Beam and flew around Cursola while he's firing his beam attack. "Use Fire Blast!" Charizard fired a Fire Blast, hitting Cursola on the mark and creating smoke. The smoke clears and we see Cursola knocked out.
"I lost!" The boy cried as he called his Cursola back. "I'm not gonna forget this!" He ran off, crying.
"Ooooooookay," Ash said, confused by what he saw.
"I thought he was going to challenge me until he pointed at you," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"So did I, to be honest," Ash said. A little while after Ash's battle, Ash separated from the group, using it as an excuse to use the bathroom. He searched for a way to get in the realm of darkness. He couldn't find a clue there. "Shoot! I thought I had it that time. I won't give up. I promised you, Cascade. I promised I won't give up."
"Hey, what's taking you so long, Ash? Did you fall in or what?" Sora called .
"Coming!" Ash called back. He rushes back with the group. "Sorry for taking so long. I was going like a race Rapidash." He chuckled nervously.
"Well, you might as well wash your hands now," Sora said, pulling out a bar of soap and a canteen. Ash washed his hands as Sora poured the water as Ash washed his hands. Sora hands Ash a towel to dry his hands off. "Well, let's keep going or else somethings gonna happen to us."
"Right," Ash said. He looked back, knowing he hit another dead-end.
The hooded pair along with Espeon and Umbreon were still watching them like ghosts as they continued to follow them. The same can be said with Team Rocket then they managed to track them down once again in their balloon.
"There they are. The twerps are right in our sights!" Meowth said.
"They thought they could rid of us, well, they might as well think again," Jessie said.
"Pikachu will be ours for the taking!" James said.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said, popping out again. Jessie got annoyed and called Wobbuffet back.
"Why can't you just keep your trap shut? We got enough to worry about without showing up out of random," Jessie said.
The group made a stop to another Pokémon Center to rest for the night. Sora thought it would be a great idea to train for his Gym battle against Clair.
"Okay, Granbull, Azumarill! Use Play Rough!" Sora ordered. Azumarill and Granbull came at a dummy of a Shadow and started to beat it. "Great! Feraligatr, Mamoswine, Gyarados! Ice Fang!" Feraligatr, Mamoswine, and Gyarados rushed at the dummy and bit it repeatedly. "Lapras! Use Ice Beam! Weavile! Use Ice Spinner!" As Lapras fired Ice Beam, ice forms on Weavile's feet and spins around. The dummy is struck hard. Kairi, Tohru, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu were watching the training taking place.
"Sora is training hard," Tohru said.
"Well, he did say he wants to be ready for anything coming his way," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Pichu," the Shiny Pichu said.
"Pichu," the Spiky-eared Pichu said.
"So why would he use something that looks like a Heartless?" Tohru asked.
"Sora thought it'll help if they had some motivation. And what better motivation than a Heartless," Kairi said.
"Just why would Sora make something like that?" Tohru asked.
"He didn't. Ash made it. And don't ask me how Ash made it, because I can't help you there," Kairi said.
Sora's Pokémon kept on training and training for the next few hours.
Meanwhile, Xigbar sat in a chair and a mirror that shined brightly, displaying a face being blurred.
"Do I have your blessing to carry on?" A calming voice asked.
"Yeah. I ran it pass my boss, so can started as soon as you're ready," Xigbar said.
"I was hoping you would. The Heartless you've provided will do their part. But I must ask why it is so important to you?" The voice asked.
"Let's just say he's in the way, and he needs to be gone. That's the expression we've been given," Xigbar said.
"I'm looking forward in meeting you face-to-face," the voice said.
"I'll be sure to arrange that," Xigbar said.
Back at the Pokémon Center, Sora took a break from all the training and he wiped off some sweat from the training going on.
"That was a good workout," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
He rejoined his friends as they sat down for a meal.
"Good timing, Sora, because Kairi made some of your favorite meals for dinner," Leaf said. Sora looked around and his mouth watered by the sight of the food on the table.
"Sweet!" Sora said.
The meal went on smoothly as they joked around and told some stories of their past experiences. Unknown to them, Team Rocket placed a vaccum tube through the vent. The tube went all the way up to Team Rocket's balloon. They have a a box ready to place the Pokéballs in when the theft is successful.
"This has got to work this time," Jessie said.
"We didn't have too mouch, but we managed with what we've got," James said.
"The boss will be thrilled with us when he sees that we brought him some Pokémon for him," Meowth said with a grin. He fantasies about giving Persian the boot once and for all.
"We only get one shot at this, so we have got to make this count. After our last blast off, we cannot afford to slip-up again. We have got to get serious and bring him a lot of Pokémon, and give them to the boss and get our debts out of the way once and for all," Jessie said.
"Jessie's right. Our losing streak is an embarrasment. We've got to straighten up and fly right this time," James said.
"Let's go everything before we get started; just to make sure everything works," Jessie said.
"Right," James and Meowth said.
"Okay. Electric generator," Jessie said.
"Check," Meowth said.
"Pokéball storage unit," Jessie said.
"Check," James said.
"Vaccuum tube," Jessie said.
"Check," Meowth said.
"Smoke bombs," Jessie said.
"Triple check," Meowth said.
"Everything's accounted for," James said.
"Commence suction," Jessie siad.
"Roger!" Meowth said, pushing a button.
"That's not her name," James said
The vaccuum starts up and builds up a strong pressure. The patrons inside were feeling the breeze, which was strong enough to pull in the various Pokéballs right in the tube in the vent. Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Tracey, and Tohru held on as the Pokéballs go flying. None of theirs were taken since they were placed in their backbacks as soon as the others were flying.
"What's going on?!" Sora exclaimed.
"And what is this wind?" Tohru asked.
"It feels like something is pulling everything in its direction, but where are they going?" Ash asked.
Sora and Kairi managed to follow the flying Pokéballs and saw that they were going in the vent.
"Over here!" Sora called out. His friends have come to see the tube, but the suction has ceased.
"What is going on?" Nurse Joy asked.
"I think I have a pretty good idea what," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel rushed out of the Pokémon Center and saw it was Team Rocket's balloon hovering above the building.
"Team Rocket!" Kairi exclaimed.
"I knew it!" Sora grolwed. Team Rocket laughed.
"Prepare for trouble, we're back!" Jessie said.
"Make it double, we're right on track!" James said with a rhyme.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people's within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right!"
"Wobbufet!"
"Mime, Mime!"
"What are you morons trying to pull now?" Sora asked.
"Why we're stealing every Pokémon in the entire Pokémon Center, and there is nothing you can do to stop us!" Jessie said.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Sora said.
"Anything you say will mean nothing to us!" Jessie said. Meowth took out an extender to grab Pikachu, but Sora saw that coming, so he summoned his Keyblade and used it to cut the extender just before they could touch Pikachu.
"You were saying?" Sora asked. Jessie growled.
"I hate it when things don't go as planned!" Jessie hissed.
"It's not a toal loss! We still have quite a haul of Pokémon," James said.
"James is right! It's better than nothing!" Meowth said.
"And nothing is what you deserve!" Tohru said, taking out his Pokéballs and threw them. "Go! Sneasler, Arcanine, Electrode, and Overqwil!" Tohru called out. The Hisuian Pokémon, emerged from inside and waited for Tohru's instructions.
"We can take them, too!" Jessie said as she took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Arbok! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and Arbok emerged from inside.
"You too, Weezing!" James called out. Weezing came out, ready to battle. "Weezing! Use Double Hit!" Weezing charges at Sneasler with a tackle.
"Sneasler! Use Dire Claw!" Tohru ordered. Sneaseler's claws gave off a purple glow before the Free Climb Pokémon jumped. Sneasler slashed at Weezing, resulting in a paralysis.
"Arbok! Use Crunch!" Jessie ordered. Arbok came at Tohru's Pokémon, ready to land a bite.
"Electrode! Use Chloroblast!" Tohru ordered. Electrode unleashed a burst of green energy from its body, hitting Arbok on the mark.
"Weezing! Use Sludge Wave!" James ordered. Weezing unleashed a Sludge Wave from his two mouths.
"Overqwil! Use Barb Barrage! Arcanine! Use Rock Slide!" Tohru ordered. Overqwil and Arcanine unleashed their attacks, striking Arbok and Weezing. They go flying, and they knocked the Pokéball storage unit off their balloon. Sora quickly took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Meganium!" Sora called out. Meganium came out. "Use Vine Whip to catch that box!" She uses her vines to grab the box and gently bring it down. "We the Pokéballs back!"
"Sora, Kairi, care to do the honors?" Tohru asked.
"Thanks, but it looks like you got it covered!" Sora said.
"So the honors are yours!" Kairi said. Tohru turned to Team Rocket with a scowl.
"You attempt to steal my Pokémon and my friends. And then you do so by trying to steal others! This will not stand! Arcanine! Use Raging Fury!" Arcanine starts to build up flames. Arcanine jumped up with a fury in its eyes, making Team Rocket flinch. An explosion occurs when Arcanine makes contact. They then go flying in the air.
"Blew it again," James said.
"So much for a well-thought-out plan," Meowth said.
"But I did prepare for this just in case," Jessie said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying in the air. A star twinkles in the distance.
Just after Team Rocket have been blasted off, the Celebi pendent goes off, opening a portal through time.
"It seems it's time for me to go," Tohru said.
"Tohru," Sora said. Ash, Leaf, Tracey, Togepi, and the Pichu were watching from inside.
"Even though it was brief, I promise will treasure the friendship I have forged with you. Friendship is something even time has no power over," Tohru said. Sora smiled, remembering Sam when he went back to his own time.
"Take care, Tohru," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I ask that you do the same," Tohru said as he and his Pokémon stepped through the portal. He took one last look at his friends just when the rest have shown up. A tear slides down Tohru's cheek as the portal closes behind him and his Pokémon.
This served as a remainder that time has no power over a friendship like the one Tohru shared with Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, and Tracey. But only time knows when they shall meet again. But who was that being Xigbar was speaking with? And what could he have planned?
Before we close, I thought I should share that I will do another spinoff fic of this fiction with a Dinosaur King crossover. Just be sure to be ready for that one.
