Episode 196: Annie and Oakley Takes Over
Where we last left Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu, they had arrived in the garden of Lorenzo and Bianca
"How long have you guys known Latios and Latias?" Sora asked.
"Well, grandpa's known them since they were babies," Bianca said
"I've known them since their father brought the water to our town. He rescued the people from a life of terror and left us with this beautiful water city. But I'm afraid it was too much for him," Lorenzo sadly said. Kairi lightly gasped.
"He used all his power to bring the water, and then vanished into thin air," Bianca said.
"But in his place, there was a beautiful crystal orb called the Soul Dew, said to contain the spirit of Latios," Lorenzo said.
"Are you saying Latios died saving the town, and his babies became orphans?" Kairi asked sadly.
"I'm afraid so, Kairi," Lorenzo answered. Sora noticed something in the diagram.
"Wait a minute. This looks like the Defense Mechanism that's in the museum," Sora pointed out.
"That diagram shows how the Soul Dew is used to power it," Lorenzo explained.
"Where is the Soul Dew right now?" Sora asked.
Lorenzo and Bianca takes Sora and Kairi to a nearby pool of water, where he and Pikachu see the Soul Dew at the bottom.
"Is that it?" Kairi asked.
"Yes, it is," Lorenzo said.
"That's really cool," Sora said.
"I'll tell you something, Sora and Kairi, that beautiful jewel contains not only the spirit of Latios, but, in the wrong hands, the power to destroy our town," Lorenzo said.
"We definitely don't want that to happen," Kairi said.
"Indeed not. It must never leave this pool. So, you see, it's important that its location be kept a secret," Lorenzo said.
"You've got nothing to worry about, because the secret of the Soul Dew will be safe," Sora said.
"We'll make sure of that," Kairi said. Latias comes and nuzzles again.
"Hey, Latias," Sora said. She then takes Ash up into the air. "Latias! Hold on a second! I don't have wings, so I can't-" Latias drops Sora, "-fly!" Latios swoops in and saves him before he hits the water. After being put down, Sora is soon nuzzled by Latias again.
"She wants to play some more," Bianca said. Sora then remembered the their friends.
"Sorry. Kairi and I gotta go find our friends. They're probably wondering where we're at. But we'll play again real soon, okay?"
"Pika," Pikachu promised.
"I promise," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said. Kairi picked up Togepi in her arms.
"Come on, Togepi, we gotta go meet with our friends. You too, Angel," Kairi said.
"Well, shall we head back, then?" Lorenzo asked.
"Yes," Kairi said.
Soon, as the sun sets, Sora, Kairi Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, the Pichu, Lorenzo, and Bianca set off.
"Bye, you guys!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
After they leave, the two Eon Pokemon start playing some more, but they're revealed to be being watched by Annie and Oakley. As for Sora and Kairi.
"We can cut through here," Lorenzo said.
They soon enter a workshop.
"Where are we?" Sora asked.
"This is my workshop," Lorenzo said.
"Grandpa makes gondolas in here," Bianca said.
"That's cool," Sora said.
"Yeah, it's a job that keeps me pretty busy in this town. Bianca, why don't you take Sora and Kairi the rest of way back to town?" Lorenzo asked.
"Okay," Bianca said.
Bianca takes the couple back by boat, so Kairi does some thinking.
"Bianca, I hope you don't mind me asking you this question," Sora said.
"I don't mind, Sora. You can ask," Bianca said.
"Just why were those two girls chasing you earlier?" Sora asked. Bianca looked at him with a puzzling expression.
"What two girls? What are you talking about?" Bianca asked.
"So it was Latias," Sora said.
"I knew it! And somehow, those girls knew that," Kairi said.
"Are you saying someone was after Latias?" Bianca asked.
"Yeah. There two girls who were attacking Latias. One had an Espeon and one had an Ariados," Sora said.
"So did you know them or anything?" Kairi asked.
"No, I don't know them. But I'll be sure to let my grandpa know about this when I get back," Bianca said.
Later that night, Annie and Oakley make their move, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, while Team Rocket watches from nearby.
"There they go. All we gotta do is follow 'em over them rooftops," Meowth said.
"Well, I used to be quite a good gymnast," James said.
"This is our big chance! I can almost taste it! Are you ready?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah!" James and Meowth replied.
The Moron Trio soon follow behind Annie and Oakley. James unintentionally stepped on Meowth's foot.
"Hey, my foot! Ow!" Meowth yelped.
As they followed Annie and Oakley, Team Rocket have proven that they're not quite the gymnasts as they thought they were. They slipped and landed landed on a lamppost.
"That was a close one," Team Rocket said with relief. Their relief was cut short when Wobbuffet popped out of his Pokéball.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.
Looking up, they saw that Wobbuffet's added weight causes the lamppost to break, sending them falling toward the street.
"Team Rocket's blas..." But before they finish, they hit the ground.
"Ow," Meowth said.
"What was that about you being quite a good gymnast, James?" Jessie asked.
"I might have exaggerated about that fact," James sheepishly said.
Back at Lorenzo's workshop, he's seen to be working on gondola when Annie's Espeon enters the place. Lorenzo sees the Sun Pokémon, not seeing it as a threat.
"Well, hello there. Are you lost? You don't look familiar," Lorenzo said.
Espeon suddenly uses Psychic to knock Lorenzo out before its master and her partner show up. Annie and Oakley walked in.
"Bravo, Espeon," Annie said. They grinned evilly
Meanwhile, in the secret garden, Latios and Latias lay sleeping in a tree when the chimes go off. Latios was the first to wake up, knowing strangers were in the garden. Annie, Oakley, and their Pokémon entered the garden.
"They've got to be in here somewhere," Oakley said.
"This is the place where those kids where with then earlier," Annie said. Latios and Latias darts right at them like missiles fired from a jet.
"We're in luck. It looks like now they want to play with us, Annie," Oakley said.
"I know!" Annie said. As Latias and Latios got close, she and Oakley cartwheel out of Latios' way. "First one to catch Latios wins!" Annie cartwheels down the hill to avoid Latios when he comes by again. So, in order to avoid being caught, the two Pokémon turn invisible. "Uh oh. That's a new one."
"These two are just full of surprises," Oakley said.
"Which, of course, makes them even more desirable," Annie said. One of the Pokemon darts at Annie, but she easily backflips out of the way. The two of them put on their glasses and Annie Latios. "Right there! Espeon! Use your Swift!" Espeon fires Swift and hits him. "These sunglasses rule."
However, Latias rams into Espeon.
"It's Latias! Ariados! Use your Night shade!" Oakley ordered. Ariados fires Night Shade from its horn and hits Latias enough to make her visible again until Latios steps in to protect her. "Okay, if you wanna be the hero, we'll take you first!" She gets out and throws a capture net at Latios, snaring him and sapping his energy as Annie spots Latias.
"Espeon, Psybeam!" Annie ordered Espeon fires Psybeam and hits Latias, taking her down. "Espeon! Use Take Down!" Espeon makes its way down at Latias, Latios slides in to distract it. "Use Psychic!"
"Ariados! String Shot!" Oakley ordered.
Ariados fired a thread from its mouth and successfully snares Latios while he tells his sister to escape.
"Come on!" Annie said. Latias prepares to take her leave on her brother's behest as Annie and Oakley run down the hill with capture nets in hand. "Going somewhere?" Annie throws the net, but Latios takes it instead while Latias escapes into the canals. "Well, at least we got one of them."
"That may be all we need. Especially, if we have, this," Oakley said. Oakley heads for the pool, and she tries to take the Soul Dew from its resting place. "Stubborn little gem, isn't it?"
"Just try not to break it, okay?" Annie asked.
"I don't think that's possible," Oakley said. Finally she gets it out of the pool. "Got it."
"Let me just take a look at this thing," Annie said as she takes the Soul Dew and admires it. "It's like its, spiritual or something. You know what I mean, Oakley?"
"I found it. I found it," Oakley said.
Annie looks and sees Oakley on her laptop.
"Well, technically yes, but it belongs to both of us," Annie said.
"That's not what I'm talking about. Come here, check this out," Oakley said. Annie walked over to her sister and looked at the laptop.
"What is it?" Annie asked.
"The etching in the stone explains how the Soul Dew is used to power the DMA," Oakley said.
"Didn't we already have that info from the book we stole?" Annie asked.
"Yeah, but this has a lot of stuff the book didn't have," Oakley said.
"Like what?" Annie asked.
"Hold on a second," Oakley said. She zooms in on one etching. "It's written in some kind of code."
"Are you gonna be able to crack it?" Annie asked.
"It says the Defense Mechanism must only be used as a last resort, for it'll cause the water to recede and destroy the Soul Dew," Oakley said.
"I don't care about the water going away, but we can't destroy my beautiful jewel," Annie said.
"OUR jewel," Oakley corrected her sister as she takes the Soul Dew.
"Be careful with it," Annie said.
"I wouldn't worry about it. They probably just made that stuff up so people wouldn't try to use the Defense Mechanism against them," Oakley said.
Soon, the water in the fountains stops flowing.
Outside the garden, Latias surfaces, turns invisible and heads off.
A few moments later, Bianca enters the workshop after dropping off Sora and Kairi.
"Grandpa, I should tell you something important," Bianca said. She gasped when she found her grandfather unconscious. "Grandpa! Grandpa, are you alright?" Lorenzo regains consciousness.
"Bianca. Thank goodness," Lorenzo said.
"What happened? Why were you on the floor?" Bianca asked.
"I was doing some work on my latest gondola, when an Espeon just walked in and attacked with no reason," Lorenzo explained. Bianca remembered one of the girls Sora and Kairi were talking about has an Espeon.
"You didn't see an Ariados and two girls in here, did you?" Bianca asked.
"No. Not that I have seen," Lorenzo confirmed.
"Grandpa, Sora and Kairi told me that there are two girls who were after Latias earlier today, so I thought I should warn you," Bianca said.
"That's terrible," Lorenzo said. He noticed that the water wasn't running. He knew it could only mean one thing. "Oh no."
"What's wrong, grandpa?" Bianca asked with concern.
"The water isn't running," Lorenzo said.
"What?!" Bianca exclaimed, noticing the water wasn't flowing from the fountains.
"The fountain shouldn't have stopped running unless the Soul Dew was gone from its place!" Lorenzo said.
Bianca and Lorenzo heads for the pool and they gasped when they have found the Soul Dew gone.
"Oh no! You were right, it's gone!" Bianca exclaimed.
"Just as I suspected," Lorenzo said.
"We better get to the museum right away," Bianca said.
"I agree. I can only hope we are not too late," Lorenzo said.
Over to the museum, Annie and Oakley reach the DMA with Latios in tow. Ariados, who had been carrying Latios the whole way, puts him in the center of a platform, which starts glowing once he's in place. Soon, three rings rise out of the platform and lift Latios up.
"It's working!" Annie exclaimed.
"Cool. Yeah," Oakley said. With Latios in place, the DMA opens, ready to be activated. "Perfect. Just like the book said. We only have one more thing to do."
Lorenzo and Bianca have arrived and saw what they were doing.
"Just what do you think you're doing?!" Lorenzo exclaimed.
"I guess you're a light sleeper, huh?" Oakley asked.
"We can help you with that. Espeon, be a dear and use your Psychic," Annie ordered. Espeon obeyed and used Psychic on both Lorenzo and his granddaughter, taking them both down. "Sweet dreams."
"Now where were we?" Oakley asked. Oakley puts the Soul Dew in the designated place, bringing the DMA to life. "Look at it go!"
Meanwhile, at the Pokémon Center, Latias finds the room where Sora, Kairi, and their friends are sleeping and Pikachu and Angel quickly senses her arrival as she turns human. Eevee also sensed her.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Vee?" Angel asked.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"What's wrong, you three?" Sora asked, waking up. The couple saw it Latias, thinking it was Bianca. "Bianca?" Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Togepi, Azurill, and the Pichu.
"Why are you here? And why do you look so scared?" Kairi asked. Latias shook and clinged onto Sora. Kairi immediately knew it was Latias. "Wait, you're Latias."
"Sora, Kairi, what's going on?" Ash asked.
"We can explain," Sora said.
Sora explained to the rest of the group that the girl is actually Latias and about the two girls that attacked her.
"Wait, this is Latias?!" Tracey exclaimed.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"These are our friends. Riku, Naminé, Tracey, Ash, Ethan, Kris, Leaf, and Lyra," Kairi introduced. Eevee sniffed her and she gave off a scent only a Pokémon can give off. "It's okay, you trust them." Latias revealed her true self to the rest of them, much to their shock.
"It is a Latias!" Ethan exclaimed.
Lorenzo and Bianca are seen to be tied up by Ariados' silk.
"Latios! You've got to open your eyes so Latias can see what's happening to us! Latios! Please!" Bianca pleaded.
Latios does open his eyes as a control pod comes down towards Annie and Oakley.
"This is the control seat," Oakley said, sitting in it.
"It doesn't look very comfortable," Annie said.
Latios tries to break loose, but can't.
"Oh no! Latios!" Bianca gasped.
Latios soon uses sight sharing, allowing Latias to show the group where he is and what's happening.
"What's happening?" Naminé asked.
"It's sight sharing," Kairi said.
"Sight sharing?" Lyra asked.
"It's an ability that Latios and Latias both have. So right now, Latias is showing us everything Latios is seeing," Sora said. They saw that Bianca and Lorenzo were tied up in the silk. "Lorenzo!"
"Bianca!" Kairi gasped.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"They're tied up!" Ethan said.
They all see the Soul Dew powering up the DMA.
"The Soul Dew! It's been stolen!" Sora gasped.
"And I have a good idea who it was! Look!" Kairi said, pointing to Annie and Oakley. "It's them!"
"They're the ones you told us about?" Tracey asked.
"That's them," Sora confirmed.
"I thought they looked familiar. I saw their faces in a wanted poster once. It's Annie and Oakley," Leaf said.
"What did you hear about them, Leaf?" Kris asked.
"That they're master thieves. They eluded capture in every step of the way. I even heard that they're members of Team Rocket," Leaf explained.
"Okay. Let's see what this baby's made of," Oakley said. A heads-up display soon comes up before her. "First, we'll bring in some reinforcements," Oakley said, setting her sights on the skeletal Aerodactyl and Kabutops.
"Are you crazy?! You're going to destroy the entire city!" Lorenzo yelled.
"Kabutops, Aerodactyl, rise!" Oakley said.
Right on cue, Kabutops and Aerodactyl return to life, but as undead, zombie Pokémon. Everyone watched in horror by what they were witnessing.
"She brought Aerodactyl and Kabutops back to life!" Kris gasped.
"This we don't need," Tracey said.
"I don't think Lorenzo mentioned the DMA can be used to bring back the dead," Sora said.
"I think he had a reason not to share this information," Riku said.
"Alright, you two, bring me back that Latias," Oakley commanded.
The two undead Pokemon head out to find her as Latios ceases using sight sharing while Latias collapses, weak.
"Latias! Are you okay?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked.
"That Kabutops and Aerodactyl will be coming here for Latias," Riku said.
"We're in trouble," Ethan said.
"Not just us, Ethan. Everybody in this city is in trouble," Sora said.
"Sora's right. We've got to head for the museum and stop them!" Lyra said.
Back at the museum...
"I can control the whole world from in here! Initiate citywide lockdown!" Oakley laughed with wicked glee.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket are seen weakly walked, recovering a little from their fall.
"Let's get out of this place," Jessie said.
"Where did we leave the boat?" James asked.
They soon spot it.
"There it is! Arrivederci!" Team Rocket said as they rush towards their boat.
Suddenly, at Oakley's command, a gate closes before them, and then behind them.
"What the hell?!" Jessie exclaimed in shock.
"I had nuttin' to do wit it!" Meowth said.
"Mama!" James cried.
"It was their idea!" Jessie said.
Soon, more alleyways are blocked off.
"That's right, we don't want any intruders," Oakley said.
More gates start shutting off the alleys all over the city as the group look outside to see what's happening.
"What's going on?" Leaf asked.
"I don't know," Ethan said.
"The gates and alleyways are being blocked off!" Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
Soon, gates are forming around the balconies, too.
"Oh no! Latias!" Kairi gasped.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel jumps off the balcony and into the water below.
"Sora! Kairi! Where are you going?! Riku asked.
"We're heading for the museum! We'll meet you there!" Sora said.
"Okay!" Riku said.
Sora and Kairi soon gets on a gondola as more gates form around the city. Sora unties the mooring knot on the gondola.
"Alright, Latias, We're going to need your help reaching the museum," Sora said. Latias nodded.
"Let's get going!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel agreed.
While Sora gets the gondola moving, back at the museum, Oakley enjoys using the DMA while everyone else watches.
Back outside, Riku and the others managed to use their Keyblades escape from their prison. Tracey is seen carrying Togepi as the Pichu rode on his shoulders.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel and Latias kept going before the zombie Aerodactyl spots them, swoops down and grabs Latias.
"Leave her alone!" Kairi demanded.
Angel jumped and smacked the zombie Aerodactyl with an Iron Tail.
Latias then turns invisible and fled. The zombie Aerodactyl flew upwards in the air and prepares to fire a Hyper Beam.
"That Aerodactyl is getting ready for a Hyper Beam!" Sora exclaimed. The zombie Aerodactyl fired a Hyper Beam, sending Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel flying and destroying the gondola.
Sora is sent into the canal after getting hit by the wave created by the Hyper Beam hitting the water.
"Sora!" Kairi gasped.
"Eevee!" Angel exclaimed.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
Knowing Sora was in trouble, Latias turned visible again and dove down to save Sora. When Sora hit the bottom, Latias took him to the surface before he started to drown. Kairi swam up to her boyfriend.
"Sora! Thank goodness you're alive!" Kairi cried.
"I'm okay, Kairi," Sora assured his girlfriend. "Now we need a new way to get to the museum fast."
"Yeah, but what?" Kairi asked. Sora looked around and he saw a water chariot. He then gets an idea.
"I've got it!" Sora said. Latias started to pull the water chariot with Kairi holding onto Sora as Pikachu and Angel rode on Latias while she pulled. "What do you think, Kairi?"
"It's a clever idea, Sora! It's much faster than the gondola!" Kairi said.
"Now we gotta lose that Aerodactyl up above!" Sora said. Latias agreed and she flew faster than before.
Meanwhile, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, and the remaining Pokémon continued to make their way through Alto Mare.
"I hope and Kairi made it there by now," Naminé said.
"Azurill," Azurill chirped.
"Me too. I don't even wanna think about what would happen if they run into those Poké-ghouls," Ethan said.
"If they did, then they would give them the slip by now," Tracey said.
"Tracey's right. They can handle themselves just fine. We gotta pull the plug on the whole thing before it gets a whole lot worse than it already is," Riku said. Riku summoned his Soul Eater to double the damage on the bars.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Latias, they get even closer to the museum, but the zombie Kabutops has found them and chases after them. The zombie Kabutops follows close behind Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Latias with lightning speed before Sora and Kairi winds up falling off their chariot and onto the sidewalk. But just before the zombie Kabutops can deliver the kill, the hooded figures along with Espeon and Umbreon appeared. The Colosseums of Light and Darkness clashed against the zombie Kabutop's sickle-like claw just when the hooded young woman came at the zombie Kabutops with the Star Seeker in hand. She fired a beam of light from the Keyblade as Espeon and Umbreon attacked with Psybeam and Dark Pulse, sending the zombie Kabutops into the water. Sora and Kairi were shocked to see it happen.
"It's you again," Sora said.
"Why did you help us?" Kairi asked.
"That's not important. Head for the museum and stop the DMA," the hooded young man said.
"And hurry before it's too late!" The hooded young woman added.
"Well, thanks!" Kairi said as the couple, their partners, and the female Eon Pokémon took off for the museum. Espeon and Umbreon looked at the hooded young man who simply nodded. They understood and started to follow them.
Back at the museum, Oakley spots Sora and their partners with Latias.
"There she is," Oakley said. "Not that those two again."
"It's not too late if you stop what you're doing! Just remove the jewel and release Latios! Do it now!" Lorenzo said, trying to reason with Oakley.
"Look, pops, I don't care if your town dries up. With this machine, I have the power to control the entire world if I want to!" Oakley said. Annie looked at, not believing what she just said.
"Oakley," Annie could only say.
"Alright, now to have some fun!" Oakley said.
Outside, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Latias are near the museum when they see a giant water spout in the distance before they dock and come down on solid ground.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu gasped.
"Eevee!" Angel also gasped.
"Not gonna get away this time!" The couple soon finds themselves trapped by walls of water and then sucked into a water cyclone in the making. "Now for the grand finale." The water brings out heroes up as they struggle for breath. "Oh, I am really getting good at this. Back inside the water, Latias was about to save their lives when Espeon and Umbreon came to the rescue, to the surprise of Oakley. Espeon and Umbreon manages to get Sora and Kairi out of the water. Espeon and Umbreon used Psybeam and Dark Pulse on the water, much to Oakley's dismay. "What?! Where did that Umbreon and Espeon come from?!"
Sora and Kairi looked at the Espeon and Umbreon.
"You just saved us again! Did they send you?" Sora asked. They didn't respond to his question. Sora knew he could trust them both. "Okay, you can help out." The Espeon and Umbreon accompanied the couple, their partners, and Latias rushes in.
Back inside the museum, the DMA began to go berserk.
"What is happening to my control panel?!" Oakley exclaimed.
Latios was now in great pain due to the DMA going haywire. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Espeon, Umbreon, and Latias enters the museum.
"You again!" Annie exclaimed.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift, hitting both Annie and her Espeon. Umbreon uses Dark Pulse on Ariados as the other Espeon uses Psychic on the spider-like Pokémon, holding it. Sora and Pikachu rushes at Bianca and Lorenzo.
"Bianca, Lorenzo! Are you okay?" Sora asked.
"I think so!" Bianca said.
"We must hurry!" Lorenzo said.
"Don't move!" Sora said as he summoned his Keyblade and used it to cut the silk.
"What is happening to that thing?" Annie asked as she looked at the DMA. The DMA starts going around faster. Annie was with full concern for her sister. "Oakley?" It quickly opens. "Oakley!"
"Annie!" Oakley called back. It closes again.
Sora, Kairi, Bianca, Lorenzo, and the Pokémon are gathered as Latias tried to get Latios out.
"We have to save Latios!" Bianca said.
"Okay, let's try to use our magic to get him out!" Kairi suggested.
"It's worth a try!" Sora said. Kairi summoned her Keyblade and she aims it at Latios as does Sora. "Pikachu, Angel, you two use Thunderbolt and Swift to help us out!" Pikachu and Angel agreed and they wait for the word. "Okay, let's go!"
"Fire!" Sora and Kairi shouted as they cast their combo fire spell as Pikachu fires Thunderbolt and Angel fires Swift. Their attacks gets sent back, forcing Kairi to cast her reflect spell to protect them. The cage lowers.
"Okay, let's get him out!" Sora said. He tried to smash the cage with his Keyblade, but he's sent back. Pikachu tried as well, but he's also knocked back. Sora tried again by casting his fire, thunder, blizzard, stone, balloon, and water spells, but nothing worked. The force field was so invulnerable, not even their magic can break through it.
"He's hurt badly!" Bianca said.
Latias then uses her powers to attempt to get Latios free, but only takes down the forcefield.
"The force field's down! Get him out!" Sora said.
Sora, Kairi, Lorenzo and Bianca grab Latios' arm and tail and pull him out of the cage, shutting the DMA down and freeing Oakley.
"That's weird. It just stopped. I guess it was Latios," Annie said.
Latios soon wakes up, injured by alive.
"Oh, Latios. You're okay," Bianca said.
"Here," Kairi said, casting her cure spell, healing Latios of his injuries.
Annie goes to check on her partner/sister.
"Hey, Oakley, the party's over. Come on, wake up," Annie said. Oakley woke up.
"What happened?" Oakley asked.
"Well, I think you got a little in over your head," Annie said.
"Sora, Kairi!" Ash called out. Annie and Oakley spotted Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Eevee, Togepi, Azurill, Marill, and the Pichu rushing in.
"Thank goodness you're alright!" Kris said.
"We knew you'd stop it," Naminé said.
"Maybe I'll hold on to that jewel from now on. How does that sound? I think we should get out of here," Annie said as she goes to retrieve the Soul Dew. As she got to it, she noticed how different it got. It was now black. "Hey, Oakley, what happened to it? It's all black and weird looking. Check it out."
Hearing her, Lorenzo turned to looked at the Soul Dew, knowing what it meant.
"DON'T TOUCH THAT!" Lorenzo yelled.
Too late. She does touch it. It caused it to send her flying into the control pod with her partner before the jewel itself shatters and the DMA reactivates before stopping.
"What's happening?" Bianca asked.
"The prophecy was true. The Soul Dew is dying. It's been out of the pool for much too long. All the water is leaving," Lorenzo said.
"No," Kris said.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is seen climbing over one of the gates.
"Look at that!" Meowth said.
They see all the water in the canal receding as the zombie Aerodactly flies over head while the group steps out the museum, horrified by what they saw.
"The water's gone!" Ash said.
"But I'm afraid it's coming back," Lorenzo said.
"What do you mean?" Leaf asked.
"I think we're about to find out," Tracey worriedly said.
Latios and Latias suddenly head to the top of the building, gaining Sora and Pikachu's attention before they both stand still at the ready as a massive wall of water approaches Alto Mare.
"That is the opposite of good," Lyra said.
"Just as predicted. It's coming," Lorenzo said.
"We're about to get washed away," Sora said.
The giant wave of water demolishes an old building on an island as it makes its way towards the city, but Latios and Latias zoom into action.
"Latias!" Kairi said.
"Latios!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
Latios and Latias start glowing, ready to do whatever it took to stop the tsunami, they eventually do so, binging the waters back to calmer levels. But inside the sphere the two Eon Pokemon had created, Latios is revealed to be transparent, having used all his power to prevent a potential disaster, draining his life in the process as the light fades and Latios disappeared, leaving Latias alone.
"Where are they?" Bianca asked.
"Everyone, look," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
Everyone saw the water was now coming back. It was creating a flash flood that flows throughout the city while Team Rocket finally gets over the gate.
"I'd kill for a hot bath right now," Jessie said. Team Rocket sighs before getting swept up in the flood water. Jessie resurfaces. "This is not what I had in mind!" James also resurfaces. Meowth resurfaces
"Save me!" Meowth exclaimed.
"Team Rocket's blastin..."
But the rest of their sentence is cut off by the water while the gates around the city come down and the zombie Pokemon disappear and return to their graves while Annie and Oakley bicker in the control pod.
"You had to go for world domination. It wasn't enough that we had the most beautiful, valuable jewel in the entire universe. You had to be a control freak!" Annie accused.
"Hey! Don't knock it till you try it! Do you have any idea what it's like to have that kind of control over everything?" Oakley asked.
"Too bad you didn't have control over yourself," Annie said.
"Like you do," Oakley countered.
"Oakley, what are you talking about?" Annie asked.
"Uh, the Soul Dew?! You tried to pick it up, remember?" Oakley reminded her.
"Oh, yeah. Well, anyway, we should probably go home now, right?" Annie suggested.
"I'd love to," Oakley said. The control pod closes on them.
"Uh oh. This is a problem," Annie said.
"No kidding," Oakley said.
"No, I mean, I'm not too good with closed spaces," Annie said.
"You're not too good with closing your mouth, either," Oakley said.
The Espeon and Umbreon took their leave, knowing their task was now done.
The sun rises as the group are riding in separate gondolas, searching for Latias and Latios.
"Latias! Latios! Where are you?" Sora asked, calling out to them.
"Latios, Latias! Please answer us!" Bianca said.
The Pokémon then spots something.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Everyone looks and sees a Mantine carrying Latias, flanked by two Chinchou.
"Latias," Sora said.
"Get her in the gondola," Ash said. Latias is soon brought aboard Sora's gondola. "Latias? Can you hear me, Latias?" Latias regains consciousness. "You're okay."
"Hey, Latias? Where's Latios?" Bianca asked.
"Yeah, where's your brother?" Leaf asked.
Latias just looks up at the sky.
"So, that light was Latios?" Bianca asked with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Like his father, Latios gave his life to save the city," Lorenzo said.
"Latios is dead? No," Kairi said, starting to cry.
Sora clutched his fist as he started to cry. He remembered the whole Celebi incident when Iron Mask Marauder tried to force Celebi into destroying everything. The only difference was, Latios is gone.
Suddenly, Latias activates her sight sharing ability.
"It's sight sharing," Sora said.
"That's right," Bianca agreed.
"You're showing us what you're seeing, aren't you, Latios? If you are, then show us. Please," Sora said.
Everyone soon finds themselves hovering far above the planet itself.
"The Earth is so pretty. So blue," Kris said.
Soon, they hover far away from the planet before everything goes dark and another Soul Dew gently lands in Bianca's hands.
"It's a new Soul Dew," Tracey said.
"Now we got to get it to the pool where it should be," Sora said.
"Yes, Sora. It must be done at once," Lorenzo said.
The sight sharing ends and our heroes are back in their boats. Later, in the secret garden, the new Soul Dew is placed in the pool.
"It's exactly like the old one," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"Pichu," the Spiky-eared Pichu said.
"Pichu," the Shiny Pichu said.
"We now have a new guardian of Alto Mare," Lorenzo said.
"Thank you for saving our town, Latios. Please, stay with us forever," Bianca said. The fountain spews water as the bells rings in the distance, echoing over the entire city.
A little later, Lorenzo was carrying some pieces of wood needed for his workshop when the group are heading back to the mainland by boat.
"Hey, Lorenzo!" Sora called out. Lorenzo spotted the group as they were on the boat. "Thank you for everything."
"Oh. You're leaving already?" Lorenzo asked.
"Yeah. We're all heading back to New Bark Town," Sora said.
"We gotta get ready for the Johto Pokémon League coming up soon. We gotta train hard for it," Ethan said.
"Hold on. Bianca was going to the market but she may still be here. Bianca! Your friends are leaving! Bianca! Oh, I'm afraid you just missed her," Lorenzo said.
"Oh, well, tell her we said thanks and goodbye," Kairi said.
"I will. Well, come back and see us," Lorenzo said.
A hand takes a piece of paper from Bianca's room.
"We will," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Take care," Kris said.
"Ciao!" Tracey said.
As the boat was starting to take off again, Pikachu spotted someone.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
Everyone looks and sees who they think is Bianca running to flag them down.
"Bianca?" Sora asked.
"She's not wearing her beret," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Hey, driver, can you pull over?" Sora asked. The boats soon pull over and stop near a dock while Sora's boat stops right next to a dock as Latias, or Bianca, shows up and he disembarks. "Hey." Bianca, or Latias, then hands Sora the rolled up piece of paper she took from Bianca's room.
"Here. I want you to have this," Bianca said.
"Where's your beret?" Sora asked.
"I didn't need it. So I thought I'd see you off," Bianca said.
"Well, thanks," Sora said.
"You're welcome," Bianca said. She turned to Kairi and smiled. "And Kairi?" Kairi looked at Bianca. "Take good care of him, won't you?" Kairi smiled.
"I will," Kairi said.
"Goodbye," Bianca said.
The boat takes off and departs for New Bark Town. Sora unrolls the paper and he saw it was a painting of himself, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, and the Pichu. This made the couple smile so much, knowing of the beautiful present they were given.
Back to the museum, Annie and Oakley were both let out.
"Free at last! I thought we were going to be trapped in there forever," Annie said. Oakley looked forward and she winced when she was the Alto Mare police standing in the museum.
"Uh-oh," Oakley said. Annie saw the police and she chuckled nervously.
"Something wrong officers?" Annie asked as Officer Jenny slapped the handcuffs on her.
"You're both under arrest for attempted destruction of Alto Mare, unlawful use of the DMA, and for attempted genocide," Officer Jenny said.
"It was her idea! She's the brains of it all!" Annie said.
"Shut up, Annie," Oakley said.
"Shut up yourselves. And you can save your story for the judge," Officer Jenny said.
As Sora and his friends are heading for New Bark Town, Annie and Oakley were now looking at some serious jail time for their crimes. If that don't earn them a life sentence, then I don't know what will. Anyway, we're going to end it here for now. Sora and Ethan will be training hard for the Johto Pokémon League and only one of them will be taking home the gold.
