Episode 197: The Truth of Roxas
Before we get started, I thought I shall make it official to reveal the true identities of the hooded figures being Wes and Rui from Pokémon Colosseum, and I'll bring light on how they ended up in the realm of darkness soon enough, and also, this chapter will probably motivate Roxas in leaving the Organization. Anyway, on with the chapter.
We open the scene that Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Eevee, Azurill, Marill, and the Pichu arriving to Cherrygrove City and began to head for New Bark Town.
"You sure it's okay for us to stay at your house, Ethan? We could just stay at the Pokémon Center for a while," Sora said.
"It's not a problem, Sora. Besides, I called my mom just before we left Alto Mare and told her I was inviting you over. She said it was alright," Ethan said.
"That's good to know," Ash said.
"Yeah, so she's been wanting to meet you ever since I told her about you," Ethan said.
"You didn't tell her about you having a Keyblade, did you?" Kairi asked.
"Well, um," Ethan started to stammer.
"You did, didn't you?" Sora deadpanned.
"Okay, maybe I did. She wasn't fooled one little bit and she has a way of forcing the truth out of me," Ethan said.
"Just how did she react when you told her?" Leaf asked.
"Just surprised. But she was also awestruck when I showed her what I can do with it," Ethan said.
"It was the same with our families. But then, some lady named Flora came and explained about the Keyblade," Lyra said.
"It must have been hard to keep it a secret for long," Tracey said.
"Believe me, it wasn't easy," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
As they all spoke, the group were getting closer and closer to New Bark Town right until it was right in their sights.
"New Bark Town," Sora said.
"It felt like it's been years since we last saw it," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped.
"This brings back memories," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Say, you think we might run into Vincent here?" Lyra asked.
"Most likely. It's most likely he's might have gotten his eighth Badge by now anyway," Ethan said.
"I was thinking the same thing about Gary. It's been a while since we saw him," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah since we met that one guy, Marluxia," Ethan said.
"Marluxia? Who's that?" Lyra asked.
"Marluxia is a member of Organization XIII. We could have fought him if he hadn't escaped," Sora said.
"Knowing them, they'll make themselves known rather if we want them to or not," Riku said.
Speaking of which, Roxas and Xikap continue to stroll through a Johto forest, both getting along so well like they knew each other for years. Roxas almost forgot the mission he was on, so he had to complete it no matter what got in his way. But along the way, Roxas has spotted several wild Bellossom doing some dancing in a flower field.
"Those are wild Bellossom. They look so happy," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak agreed.
He then saw some Oddish and Gloom dancing as well. Then he saw some other Grass-type Pokémon which consists of Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff, Sunkern, Sunflora, and Tangela and they were dancing with the Bellossom so happily. Roxas and Xipak watched as some Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Rattata, Sentret, Ledyba, Caterpie, Weedle, both genders of Nidoran, Vulpix, Pichu, Igglybuff, Psyduck, Elekid, Snubbull, Lickitung, Azurill, Marill, Wooper, and Quagsire were watching the dance going on.
Just then, a Pokémon Hunter spots the Grass-type Pokémon and he chuckled as he looks through his binoculars.
"Grass-type Pokémon that are ripe for the plucking. This is a good day to make some money," the Pokémon Hunter said. He took out a Pokéball and he threw it. "Go for it, Pinsir!" His Pokéball opened and a Pinsir came right out. "Round those up!" The Pinsir complies with the Hunter and goes after the Grass-type Pokémon. "Use Rock Tomb to trap them all!" The Pinsir stomps on the ground and pillars of rocks erupts from the ground. Roxas and Xipak didn't like what they saw.
"What's going on?!" Roxas exclaimed.
"Pika?!" Xipak also exclaimed. He saw a jeep drive up and the Hunter took out another Pokéball and he tossed it.
"You're up now, Ariados!" The Hunter said. The Pokéball opened and an Ariados came on out. "Use Toxic Thread on them!" Ariados unleashed a purple poisonous silk and it ensnared the Grass-types, poisoning most of them in the process. He laughed so with evil glee. "Good work, you two!" Ariados starts pulling them up from the rocks when Roxas leapt and cuts the thread with his Keyblade. "What the?!" He turned to see Roxas. He growled with so much anger. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!"
"I could ask you the same thing! Why are you hurting those Pokémon?" Roxas asked.
"I'm a Pokémon Hunter. And I make money selling Pokémon to the highest bidder. And all those Pokémon are going to make me rich," the Hunter said. Roxas starts gripping his Keyblade tightly.
"You get rich by selling Pokémon against their will? That's not going to stand! You go away and leave those Pokémon alone!" Roxas said.
"If you're not going to get out of the way, then I'll make you move! Pinsir, Ariados! Go after that kid!" The Hunter ordered. The two Bug-types start to advance on Roxas. He raised his Keyblade, prepared to fight. "Pinsir, Ariados! Use Hyper Beam!" Pinsir and Ariados fired Hyper Beam at Roxas, but he casts his reflect spell, blocking the combo attack. Xipak then fights back with a Thunderbolt, shocking them both. Roxas then threw his Keyblade and it struck them both, knocking them out. The Hunter was shocked to see it happen. "You gotta be kidding me! That kid has a big-ass key, and he's using it like a sword! That's not gonna scare me away!" The Hunter said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Golem!" His Pokéball opened and a large Golem came out to battle. "Golem! Crush that little pissant with your Heavy Slam!" Golem jumps up in the air and starts coming down like a comet. Roxas managed to dodge and he casts a water spell, making Golem flinch. Golem was struck hard by the magical water and missed. Golem looked at Roxas while shaking.
"What's wrong? Scared of a little wa-wa?" Roxas taunted. Golem was shaking like a dead leaf in the wind. "Boo!" Golem was running for it.
"Ooh, you little brat! I ought to-" The Hunter's sentence was cut short when Xipak zapped the Hunter with a Thunderbolt, shocking him. He was now knocked out. Roxas uses his cure spell to heal the injured Pokémon and he smiled.
"You should be okay now," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
The wild Grass-types started to run as Roxas and Xipak smiled, knowing they did a good thing. Roxas looked at Xipak.
"Come on. Let's go," Roxas said.
Roxas and Xipak started to make their leave as Roxas suddenly remember his mission. A few moments later, the unconscious Pokémon Hunter was found by Officer Jenny and two other police officers, and arrested him when he was recognized.
Over Ethan's house, Kairi, Naminé, and Leaf were given a separate room, leaving the other boys with Ethan to bunk with.
"Sorry that we couldn't get you enough blankets to sleep in," Ethan said.
"Don't worry about it, Ethan. We have our sleeping bags, so it should be just fine," Sora said.
"Besides, we're used to this sort of thing," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"I guess I did, too," Ethan said, chuckling.
"Just how does it feel, Ethan, being a Pokémon Trainer, I mean? I know it's late to ask this, but I thought I should ask," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It's even more awesome than I thought. Although, a Keyblade wasn't something I wasn't expecting to get," Ethan said, summoning his Keyblade and held it. "I guess some things just happens for a reason, right?"
"You got that right, Ethan," Ash said. Ethan had one more thing to ask Sora since the whole Greenfield incident. He was quite curious, but he had to ask once and for all.
"Say, guys, there's something I've been wondering about for a long time, but didn't ask," Ethan said.
"What is it?" Sora asked.
"Well, for starters, ever since that Entei took your mom, I heard Ash say something about losing you again. So it stuck with me ever since. So I thought I'd ask this. What did he mean by losing Sora again?" Ethan asked. Sora, Riku and Ash all sighed at the question, knowing it was coming. Tracey already knew the story, so he nodded to them.
"Okay, we might was well fill you in," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"You already know about the whole deal in Hollow Bastion, right?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, what about it?" Ethan asked.
"Well, the story we're about to share with you takes place before Kairi and I went off into different worlds to seal the Keyholes, and before the Indigo Plateau Pokémon League, . Kairi, Team Rocket, and I ended up going there and he saw the place was a total mess. The flowers and trees there were all dead. We got inside of the castle of Hollow Bastion and we met this guy wearing a mask, and he had two Keyblades that were totally identical to each other. Riku, Naminé, Karen, Ven, Aqua, Terra, Ash, and Leaf showed up and they witnessed me having one of those Keyblades right in my chest when he made a move to kill Kairi," Sora explained, placing his hand over the exact spot. Ethan was shocked when he heard that Sora sacrificed himself to save Kairi.
"He sacrificed himself to save Kairi. Sora then vanished in a flash of light, leaving us," Ash said.
"And that was when Kairi sprang into action and saved our lives and struck him down," Riku said.
"If Sora sacrificed himself, then how is he still here?" Ethan asked.
"Well, we're getting to that," Ash said.
"It was when I turned into a Heartless," Sora said. Ethan was shocked to hear his sacrifice resulted in him becoming a Heartless.
"You're kidding," Ethan said.
"It's true. I still had my memories even after I turned into a Heartless. The darkness would have swallowed me if Kairi haven't brought me back. She saved me and I turned back from being a Heartless," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Wow, turning into a Heartless was one thing, but changing back from being a Heartless? How is it possible?" Ethan asked.
"That we don't know. All we know is, we have Sora back, and it won't ever change," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"So the bonds of friendship be as strong as ever even in the deepest darkness," Tracey said.
Ethan was glad to know Sora was still with them, because he had to admit, it was quite a shock to hear it from Sora, Riku, and Ash. Ethan figured he would do the same for Kris if he was in that same situation. Unknown to the boys, Kris, Lyra, and Marill were listening in on the story and they were both filled with tears about what happened.
Meanwhile, the hooded figures parked themselves outside of New Bark Town when a corridor of darkness opened up. DiZ then stepped out of the dark vortex.
"It has been too long," DiZ said. The hooded young man stood up and he removed his hood. His face showed that he has slightly tanned skin and has a white mark across his face. He has silver shades resting on his head to which he has dark blonde hair and dark yellow eyes. "It's been five years, Wes."
The hooded young woman stood up and she removed her hood and she revealed her face. She has blue eyes and orange hair tied in pigtails.
"It didn't feel that way to us," the young woman said.
"Time doesn't exist in the realm of darkness as you have discovered, Rui. I had assumed that you have perished by the hands of the Organization," DiZ said.
"It looked that way, but we ended up being knocked into the realm of darkness after you asked for our help against those guys. After we got out, we learned that the Organization now has a thirteenth member," Wes said.
"A lot has happened since your imprisonment in the realm of darkness. It began with a boy named Sora. I am certain that you have met him by now," DiZ said.
"Yes, we did. We've been following him in secret," Wes said.
"Most of the time. How close is Organization XIII in accomplishing their goals?" Rui asked.
"I fear it is getting closer than ever. It was because of a young man named Roxas, the latest member of Organization XIII. They have sent him into different worlds and collect hearts from the slained Heartless to complete the artificial Kingdom Hearts. For a time, I have recruited a boy named Ash and he assisted me in finding a way to destroy Organization XIII, until he and a girl named Leaf have left to the Johto region in assisting his friend, Sora, Kairi, and Tracey, and find a way into the realm of darkness after escaping from there the first time. And that was when he has learned of the name, Xehanort from someone who Ash has claimed to been contact with. He has known I could not help him in his search nor I could stray away from my goals," DiZ explained.
"That explains it," Rui said.
Wes didn't say anything else. He just crossed his arms and thought.
Meanwhile, Roxas and Xipak are still wondering about at night, looking at the nocturnal Pokémon, and searching for Team Rocket. He sat down by a pond and he looked at his reflection in the water. He was unaware of a presence behind him. A figure moved through the dark. Hearing the footsteps, Roxas got ready to summon his Keyblade, figuring it was either his targets or maybe something else. He quickly got up and aimed his Keyblade in the bushes.
"I know you're in there! Come out right now!" Roxas demanded. Just then, Vincent came out, shaking nervously.
"Hey, take it easy! Put that away! Please, don't hurt me!" Vincent said. Roxas dismissed his Keyblade and chuckled nervously.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, but why were you following us?" Roxas asked.
"I just saw you and that Pikachu, so I assumed you were someone else. I mean, you look just like him, but you look different at the same time. Sorry about that though," Vincent said.
"Don't apologize. I thought you were someone else, too," Roxas said.
"When I saw your Keyblade, I figured you're one of them; a Trainer with a Keyblade. Anyway, my name's Vincent. What's yours?" Vincent asked.
"Roxas. And this is Xipak," Roxas introduced.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"Nice to meet you, Roxas. Are you competing in the Johto Pokémon League by any chance?" Vincent asked.
"No, I'm not," Roxas said.
"Too bad, because I was hoping that you can have that Pikachu of yours battle me," Vincent said. Roxas was confused.
"You mean fight?" Roxas asked.
"Yeah. That Pikachu against my partner," Vincent said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Meganium!" His Pokéball opened and his Meganium emerged from inside.
"Meganium," Meganium said. Roxas looked at Xipak and he looked back at Roxas.
"How about, Xipak? You feel like battling?" Roxas asked.
"Pika," Xipak said with a nod. Xipak stood before Meganium to battle.
"Okay, since I made the challenge, I get to go first! Meganium! Use Body Slam!" Vincent ordered. Meganium charges at Xipak.
"Dodge with Quick Attack!" Roxas ordered. Xipak avoids Meganium's attack by running and lands a hit with a Quick Attack. "Use Iron Tail!" Xipak swings his tail as it gives off a metallic glow and lands a hit on the Herb Pokémon, bringing it down, but not out. "That was good!"
"Meganium! Use Vine Whip!" Vincent ordered. Meganium extends his vine and heads right for the Pikachu. The vine hits Xipak on the mark and he goes down, but he gets back on his feet. "Use Vine Whip!" Meganium extends another Vine Whip and gave Xipak some slams on the ground. Roxas then paused. He sees through his own eyes to a Pikachu being slammed down by a Bulbasaur using Vine Whip.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Roxas ordered. Xipak sends out a Thunderbolt and shocked Meganium, and paralyzing him in the process. Meganium fell on the ground. "Use Quick Attack!" Xipak dashed at Meganium and lands a hit and fell on the ground. "Use Iron Tail!" Xipak swings his tail and lands a hit onto the Herb Pokémon on the mark, resulting in a knockout. Roxas was amazed by the fact he won his very first Pokémon battle. "We did it!"
"Pikachu!" Xipak said.
"You okay, Meganium?" Vincent asked.
"Meganium," Meganium said.
"Hey, don't be sorry. You did your best, and that's all that matters to me," Vincent said. He waked up to Roxas with a smile. "That was great, Roxas. You were awesome."
"Thanks, Vincent. You were, too. I had actually had fun battling you," Roxas said. Vincent smied.
"I did, too," Vincent said.
"I even surprised myself because this was the very first Pokémon battle I ever had," Roxas said. This surprises Vincent.
"Seriously?!" Vincent exclaimed.
"Yeah," Roxas said.
"Well, you could have fooled me, because you battled like a pro. Almost like Sora's," VIncent said. Roxas got a raise when he heard Sora's name come up.
"Yeah," Roxas said. "Anyway, thanks for the battle, so we should be going now," Roxas said.
"Sure. And maybe you and I can have a rematch sometime," Vincent said.
"I'd like that," Roxas said.
"And next time, I won't lose," Vincent said.
Roxas shook Vincent's hand as Xipak shook Meganium's vine. They took off in one way as Vincent and Meganium took off in another direction, unaware that Axel was still following him.
"Looks like Roxas has made another new friend. He has a way of doing so, just like-" Axel was cut off as we fade to black.
Over to Roxas and Xipak, Roxas was thinking about that battle he had with Vincent not too long ago. He just couldn't put his finger on it.
"It's so weird. It felt so familiar It felt like I was in one of those before, but I never have been. Just what does it mean?" Roxas asked.
"Pikachu?" Xipak asked with concern. Roxas looked at Xipak. "Pika, Pika." Roxas smiled.
"Sorry to worry you, Xipak. I guess I was just thinking out loud. Maybe I was trying to remember who I was before," Roxas said. Xipak was confused.
"Pikachu?" Xipak asked.
"I should explain should I? You see, I'm someone's Nobody. I was born when my original self has turned into a Heartless. Someone had to have a strong heart, but then suddenly, I just forgot who I was before, and I have no idea how and why it happened. Weird enough, I was having these weird dreams, but it felt like it was someone else, so I have no idea how this person is connected to me. But I'm sure I'll figure it out someday," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
Roxas then stopped and he starts to get a headache. Xipak was growing more and more concerned as Roxas got to his knees.
(Flashback)
"What's happening to me?!" Roxas exclaimed.
We look into Roxas's memories and right into the past. Roxas is seen sitting at the same beach, looking at the reflection in the water.
"Who am I?" Roxas asked. He then removed his hood and he continued to stare at the water. "Where am I? How did I even get here?" Roxas kept staring at the water as Xemnas has appeared before Roxas.
"You have awaken," Xemnas said. Roxas turned around and saw the Organization's leader approaching him. "You seek answers." Roxas stayed silent. "I shall grant you a new name." Xemnas said as capital letters, spelling "Sora" are seen floating up in front of Roxas. "You feel nothing. Nothing is real. I can give you purpose." With a wave f his hand, the letters began to swirl around Roxas. Xemnas waved his hand again and the letter X appeared, spelling "Roxas". He looked at the letters and read what it says.
"Roxas," Roxas said.
"That is right. The new you," Xemnas said.
(Flashback ends)
Roxas is still holding his head as his headache is still active. Xipak was really worried.
His headache soon ceased as he stood back up on his feet.
"Pika, Pika," Xipak said.
"I'm fine now, Xipak," Roxas said. They continued their mission to find Team Rocket. But he didn't have to look to hard since he spotted their hot air balloon flying above them. "That's them!"
Up in their balloon, Team Rocket heads right for New Bark Town, planning to capture Pikachu once and for all.
"Okay, is everything ready to capture Pikachu and bring it to the boss?" Jessie asked.
"Ready," James and Meowth said. Meowth took out a machine that is shapped like a Pikachu's tail.
"This Pikachu detector should lead us right towards Pikachu and snatch it just when the twerps aren't even looking!" Meowth said. He laughed. The machine starts going off. "What the? Pikachu is just nearby."
"The twerps must have let him out," James said. A Kingdom Key is seen flying at the balloon, much to their shock. Their balloon is struck down and they go falling with them screaming.
"What the hell is the big idea?!" Jessie yelled when she saw Roxas and Xipak standing before them. "Wait, you're the littlest twerp, aren't you?"
"Wait a minute, he does look like him, but he looks taller and older," James said.
"He kinda does," Meowth agreed.
"Who cares about that? He shouldn't have done that!" Jessie said.
"She's right. We're not taking that with good humor! What's the idea of busting our balloon?" James asked.
"We take that very personally!" Meowth said.
"I'm here to eliminate you as I was ordered," Roxas said, holding his Keyblade.
"Wait. Eliminate us? Why?" James asked.
"Wait, he's with that Organization XIII crowd!" Meowth said.
"Now they're picking a fight with us!" Jessie said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Arbok! Go!"
"Go! Weezing!" James shouted.
Arbok and Weezing came out to battle against Roxas. He got ready to engage the two Poison-type Pokémon.
"Arbok! Use Crunch!" Jessie ordered.
"Weezing! Use Double Hit!" James ordered.
Arbok and Weezing started to charge right at Roxas, so Xipak fired a Thunderbolt, shocking them both. Roxas casts a zero gravity spell, making them float up into the air as he started to approach them.
"He's coming right for us," Meowth said.
"Hey, stay back!" James said.
"Don't come any closer!" Jessie said.
Roxas started to rush at Team Rocket and attempts to swing at them with his Keyblade. They managed to dodge his assault. Roxas casts a blizzard spell to freeze them. He aims right for their feet and fired the ice spell to freeze their feet.
"My legs are cold!" James said.
"So are mine!" Jessie said.
"Mine as well!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said, suddenly popping out, but Roxas brushed the Patient Pokémon to the side. Roxas held his Keyblade up.
"You must exist no more!" Roxas said, bringing his Keyblade down, but something stopped him. Roxas saw a chakram blocking the Keyblade. He recognized the design of the chakram. He turned to see it was Axel who threw it. "Axel, what are you doing?"
"Stopping you from making a big mistake, Roxas," Axel said.
"Axel, you shouldn't be here. I have to complete my mission," Roxas said.
"Look, I don't care what happens to those three; it's you I care about, Roxas. That's why I'm here," Axel said.
"Don't you realize you can be turned into a Dusk for this if he hears about this?" Roxas asked.
"I can deal with that when I get you back home," Axel said.
"Any idea why he's helping us?" James asked.
"What was that about him not caring about us? The nerve of him," Jessie said.
"Look, I know I'm disobeying an order to stay out of this, but so what? I'm bringing you back with me," Axel said.
"You're gonna have to try," Roxas said, holding his Keyblade tightly.
"Okay, then it's the hard way. I'm not going to pull my punches with you just because we're friends, Roxas!" Axel said, summoning the Eternal Flames in his hands.
Roxas and Axel rushed at each other with their weapons ready. Roxas attempts to slash at Axel, but he blocks with his chakrams and he pushes Roxas back. He then threw them, so Roxas managed to dodge. Team Rocket and Xipak watched as the fight unfolds. Roxas casts his fire spell at Axel, but the flames do nothing to him.
"What?!" Roxas exclaimed.
"Don't you remember that fire is my element? Even a Blast Burn from a Charizard won't be able to burn me up!" Axel said. He came at Roxas again and elbows him. He swings his Keyblade, so Axel clashed with the Eternal Flames in his hands. "Don't make me mad!"
"I was going to say the same thing, Axel!" Roxas said, swinging the Kingdom Key at Axel, but Axel swiftly dodged and he managed to give Roxas a chop and knocked Roxas out. He picked up Roxas in his arm.
"Sorry, Roxas. I did what I had to do to help you, because you're my best friend," Axel said. Axel opens a corridor of darkness and he looked at Team Rocket. "Forget what you saw." Axel stepped on through as Xipak chases after them.
"Pika!" Xipak said, going in the corridor of darkness.
"Hey, wait!" Jessie called out. It was too late. The corridor of darkness closed. "What was that about?"
"Search me," James said.
"But it was weird. I had a feeling I met him before. Just can't put my paw on it," Meowth said.
"Come to think of it, so have I. There was something familiar about him," James said.
"But we never met him," Jessie said.
Team Rocket were pondering about Roxas. How is it that they know him and not know him at the same time?
In the World That Never Was, Axel has returned with Roxas with Xipak coming up behind him.
"Pika!" Xipak said. Axel looked at the Pikachu.
"Don't worry, I didn't hurt him that bad. I just knocked him out, so he's going to be fine," Axel said. Roxas then stirs awake.
"Where am I?" Roxas asked.
"Just outside the castle. I brought you here," Axel said.
"Why, Axel? Why did you do that?" Roxas asked.
"I did what I had to, Roxas. I couldn't let you slip away," Axel said.
"It was my mission, Axel. You shouldn't have done that," Roxas said.
"I know, but I did anyway. But there's something I think you should know, Roxas," Axel said. "I know whose Nobody you are."
"What do you mean?" Roxas asked.
"You're the Nobody of Sora. The same Sora you met before when you took down ExDark," Axel said. Roxas was at a loss for words. He's the Nobody of Sora.
"No, it's not true, is it?" Roxas asked.
"It is," Axel confirmed.
"I don't believe you! Stop lying to me!" Roxas said.
"I'm not lying, Roxas. It's the honest truth. You're Sora's Nobody. You're able to use the Keyblade because you're his Nobody; thus, that makes you the only one who can use it. That's why Xemnas needed you so badly. That's why you're so very important. Sora was a Heartless, but just very briefly. And when Sora changed back, you lost all the memories you had as Sora. Roxas just looked at him.
"How long did you know about me?" Roxas asked. Axel didn't answer his question. "HOW LONG?!"
"I knew from the very beginning. But it didn't matter to me, because you're my friend. In fact, the only friend I had in the Organization, that is until I met Xion. You and Xion are the only ones I have ever liked," Axel said.
"Why didn't you tell me before? And why are you telling me now?" Roxas asked.
"Because I didn't want to hurt you. I guess I ended up doing that anyway. I'm just sorry you had to find out this way," Axel said.
"Friends are supposed to be honest with each other! But you knew something about me and kept it to yourself! How am I gonna trust you if you keep so many secrets from me?! Just how many secrets have you been keeping from me?!" Roxas asked.
"Just the one," Axel said.
"How do I know, Axel? How do I know if it's just one secret?" Roxas asked with tears streaming from his eyes, running towards the castle. Xipak ran right after him. Axel sighed to himself, knowing what he did.
"I'm sorry, Roxas. I'm so very sorry," Axel said.
Roxas just ran towards the castle and right to his room, passing Demyx, Xigbar, and Larxene.
"Well, look who's back," Demyx said.
"So the crybaby has come home," Larxene said. "He probably blew it if he's crying his eyes out."
"Something had to happen if he's just coming back like this," Xigbar said as he grinned.
Axel has returned to the castle and right to his room when Saïx entered.
"Axel!" Saïx said, walking in.
"Good to see you, too, Saïx," Axel said in a sarcastic tone.
"Explain why you were following him!" Saïx demanded.
"That's none of your business, Saïx," Axel said.
"It is since I'm second to Lord Xemnas! And when I demand an answer, you will give me one!" Saïx said.
"I have nothing to say. What I did was on my own accord. Not yours, not Xemnas's, and not anyone's else's!" Axel argued.
"You are venturing in a dangerous territory, Axel! But just for this once, I will allow this to slide, but the next time, I will not be so permissive. If you shall ever step out of line again, we will not turn you into a Dusk. We will only destroy you, Axel. This is your final warning!" Saïx threatened.
Roxas and Xipak came into Roxas's room and sat on his bed.
"I don't believe this. Sora. Sora is my original self and I actually met him. I just can't help but feel that you're the only one I can really talk to," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
Now that Roxas has learned the truth about himself, but what else might happen as time as time goes on. But we shall find out as we continue on.
