Episode 200: Roxas Leaves Organization XIII
Where we last left off, Roxas and Xipak sat alone on the bed as this bit of revelation was still on his mind. He just had a hard time accepting that he's the Nobody of Sora. He knew he couldn't get the answers he wanted from inside the Organization, so there was only one option left, but it is considered an act of treason against the Organization. He had to leave the Organization.
"Xipak, you and I are going to leave the Organization," Roxas said.
"Pikachu?" Xipak asked.
"It's the only way, buddy. I can't trust any of them, so you're the only one I can really trust. I was never really one of them, so there's no place here for us. What do you say? Are you with me?" Roxas asked. Xipak didn't need any other convincing, so he wanted to go with Roxas.
"Pika, Pika, Pika, Pi," Xipak said. Roxas smiled and stood up on the bed as Xipak stood on his feet.
"Okay, we're off," Roxas said.
"Pika," Xipak agreed.
Roxas and Xipak stepped out of the room and started to make their way towards the exit. Just when they were half way down to the hall, several Dusks appeared before him. Roxas summoned his Keyblade and held it.
"Out of the way," Roxas said.
The Dusks lunged at Roxas, so he swung his Keyblade and dispatched the attacking Dusk. Xipak attacked with a Thunderbolt and shocked the Dusks. They end up being shocked and then destroyed. Several Samurais appeared and attempted to stop him, but Roxas struck them all down as they attempt to stop him. Roxas and Xipak have finished off the Nobodies and proceeded to make their way out. Just when they were very close to the exit, they spotted Saïx standing in his path.
"The Organization does not accept resignation," Saïx said.
"I have nothing to say to you," Roxas said. Saïx held up his hand and he summoned what looks like a large swird that has a smooth, white handle with a gray spike set in its pommel. The guard is a pale yellow semi-circle with four small notches in its outer edge. The lower part of the main blade is thick and has concave sides, each side being lined by three small notches. The blade is pale blue and has blue-gray edges. The lower half of the blade is decorated by two small, light blue diamonds. The tip of the weapon is a blue ring with dark-blue edges and lined by seven spikes. The tip is connected to the main blade by a pale yellow symbol shaped like the top half of the Nobody logo. This weapon is Saïx's claymore known as the Lunatic. He prepares for combat.
"Then let's make this short and sweet," Saïx said. "Power of the moon, give me strength!" He held the Lunatic behind him and then raised it up to attack him. Roxas came at Saïx and he clashed his Keyblade against it. "I will leave you with nothing!" Saïx releases light around him and enters a Berserk state. He performs a continuous attack while stepping forward. Roxas tries to get a hit on him, but Saïx is proving to be a formidable opponent. He performs a continuous attack that emits a shock wave moving along the ground. "Move aside!" He and throws his claymore to the ground.
"Come on!" Roxas yelled as he came at Saïx and he clashed his Keyblade at Saïx. The Organization's second-in-command gave Roxas a smack and he takes a few steps back.
"No mercy for you, Roxas," Saïx said. He warps into the air, and attacks while falling down at Roxas and Xipak. They both dodged and they both came at him. Xipak gave him a Thunderbolt, shocking Saïx, but does little damage to him. Saïx swings his weapon up, then swings twice while stepping forward. Roxas and Xipak dodged it and came at him, but Saïx gave him a kick. Saïx raises his weapon and emits a shock wave that moves along the ground. Roxas jumped in the air and heads right for Saïx. Several swords made out of pure light appeared and he managed to strike Saïx with it. Roxas knocked the Lunatic from Saïx's hand and it goes up in the air and it struck the ground. Saïx was now on his knees. "Impossible."
Roxas dismissed his Keyblade and took off.
"Come on, Xipak. We're going," Roxas said.
"Pika," Xipak said.
Roxas and Xipak walked out of the castle without saying another word to Saïx. Walking down the streets of the city, Roxas spotted Axel on the side.
"Your mind's made up?" Axel asked.
"Why did the Keyblade choose me? I have to know," Roxas said.
"You can't turn on the Organization! You get on their bad side, and they'll destroy you!" Axel said.
"No one will miss me," Roxas said, walking away.
"That's not true. I would," Axel said.
Not too long, Saïx stood before Xemnas to make his report.
"Lord Xemnas, I regret to inform you that Roxas has deserted the Organization," Saïx said.
"So it would seem. It has not taken him long for him to do so," Xemnas said.
"I will dispatch some Nobodies to retrieve him at once," Saïx said.
"I doubt he will come back willingly. Give the order. Destroy him if he refuses to return," Xemnas said.
"Yes, Lord Xemnas. And what of Sora?" Saïx asked.
"We will only observe him for now. Roxas is our top priority until he is captured or destroyed. The outcome will become disastrous if Sora and Roxas shall ever cross paths with one another," Xemnas said.
"Yes, Lord Xemnas. I will make sure of that," Saïx said.
"See to it that you do," Xemnas said.
Over in New Bark Town, Sora woke up with a big yawn.
"Man, that was quite a sleep," Sora said, stretching his arms.
"Sora, breakfast is ready!" Kairi called from downstairs.
"Coming!" Sora called out. He got up and he went downstairs and spotted the group, except for Kris and Lyra downstairs.
"Sleep okay, Sora?" Terra asked.
"Like a Snorlax," Sora said.
"Oh, I know. You snored so loudly, the neighbors thought there was a wild Pokémon living in my backyard," Ethan's mom jokingly said. She has black hair styled in hoops and blue eyes. She wore an orange dress under a white apron with two diamond shapes on her apron, one being red, and one being yellow. Her joke earned a laugh from all around.
"Good one, mom," Ethan said.
"Yeah, very funny," Sora said, puffing his cheeks.
"Don't pout, Sora. I was only teasing. I trust you boys will be busy training for the Johto Pokémon League soon," Ethan's mom said.
"Yes, ma'am," Sora said. "I think we'll get to that after breakfast."
"Pikachu," Pikachu agreed.
"We can also meet up with Kris and Lyra out there," Ventus said.
"You're right, Ven. They could be waiting for us," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Meanwhile, Roxas and Xipak made it to Pallet Town.
"This place definitely feels like home. There's just one place to go to," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said, nuzzling his leg. Roxas looked at the Pikachu and smiled.
"You're right, Xipak. If anyone would know me, it's her. And I know Xion is there, too," Roxas said. Roxas and Xipak started to walk towards Pallet Town. As he walked, Roxas was getting a lot of looks from the people. He didn't pay any attention to them. Roxas and Xipak eventually made it to the Ketchum house. "This is it. The house from my dreams." He walked up to the door and he knocked on it. He didn't wait long until Delia answered the door.
"May I help..." Delia paused when she saw him, "...you?" She gave a light gasp. She knew who it was, but she wanted to make sure for certain. "Are you Roxas?"
"Yes. I'm Roxas. And I know you're Delia Ketchum," Roxas said. Tears are filled in Delia's eyes.
"So it is you. Come in, come in," Delia said. Delia ushered Roxas and Xipak inside. And that's where Roxas saw Karen, Xion, Kairi's family, and the Hales. "Everyone, we have a visitor."
"So it's you. I wasn't hearing things when I first heard your voice. This is the first time I ever saw you without your hood on," Karen said.
"I think I know you," Roxas said.
"And I think I know you now. You look like Ven, but you're Sora's Nobody. It's good to oficially meet you, Roxas," Karen said, giving him a hug.
"So you're what all the fuss is about," Spencer said. He smiled at Roxas.
"You're a spitting image of Sora," Elizabeth said. Molly walked up to him and Roxas looked right at the little girl.
"Hi, Roxas. I'm-" Molly was cut off.
"Molly. I remember you so little," Roxas said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"I'm happy you're here, Roxas. I was actually dreaming of this day to come," Xion said.
"Thanks, Xion. I'm happy to be here. Even if I don't have any emotions, or a heart," Roxas said.
"No emotions?" Molly asked.
"A Nobody like me can't feel any emotions at all, but for some reason, it feels like I do have emotions, with or without a heart. It's kinda funny when you think about it," Roxas said.
"If they're real to you, then they have to be real, Roxas," Yuta said.
"He's right. You shouldn't let anyone else tell you otherwise," Mirei said. Seth was reaching out for him. She giggled. "I think he wants to say hi to you." Roxas was a bit surprised as she hands the baby boy over to him. Seth looked up to him, smiling. Roxas smiled back. Xipak was happy for Roxas as he felt someone looking right at him. It turns out to be Celeste looking at the Pikachu, blushing. Xipak was blushing as he looked right back at her. Could it be love at first sight?
Not too far, Kaito is watching from outside, sensing Roxas. He knew Roxas has deserted the Organization and that they will come after him eventually. Sam appeared next to him.
"He's done it, hasn't he? He left the Organization," Sam said.
"Roxas wanted to know his true origin. The origin of my son. Looking at Roxas, it's like I had another son neither my wife and I didn't know we had," Kaito said.
"Well, technically, he is your son since he came from Sora. Just how did he not know that all this time?" Sam asked.
"Because he lost his memories as Sora. It happened when Kairi brought him back from being a Heartless. Until it happened, it was something I never thought to be possible. Nothing is impossible, and Sora and Roxas are proof," Kaito said.
"But what do you think will happen when they meet face-to-face?" Sam asked.
"That's something we can't answer," Kaito said.
"And what about Atem? Shouldn't he be here?" Sam asked.
"I sent him to inform, Wes and Rui. I helped them out of the realm of darkness when and asked that they keep an eye on them since their escape. I figured they could use a hand against the Organization," Kaito said.
Meanwhile, Atem appeared before Wes and Rui to inform them.
"Are you Atem?" Rui asked.
"Yes. Kaito has sent me to inform you that Roxas has learned the truth about himself, and left the Organization," Atem said.
"He left?" Rui asked.
"It looks like they have a problem child on their hands," Wes said.
"The Organization will not take his desertion with good humor, and they won't waste time in forcing him to return," Atem said.
"I agree. They'll do just about anything to force him back or take him out of he doesn't come back," Wes said.
"There might be an alternative," Rui said. Wes and Atem both looked at her. "He might make things right by going back to Sora. He might be waiting there for him, and then go back to him."
"I'll ssk Kaito for his opinion. Continue to keep a watchful eye on Sora while you can," Atem said.
"We will," Wes said. Atem takes his leave of the duo and they looked at each other. "I hope you're right about this, Rui."
"Me too. I don't want to think about what might happen if they learn about this," Rui said.
"We should let DiZ know about this. And see how he reacts," Wes said. Rui wasn't sure of she should, but she knew he was right.
Back in New Bark Town, Sora and Ethan were having a sparring match, so Sora has chosen Pikachu while Ethan has chosen his Typhlosion.
Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Kris, Lyra, Vincent, Tracey, and the other Pokémon were watching the sparring match go on.
"Typhlosion! Start things up with a Flame Wheel!" Ethan ordered. Typhlosion rushes at Pikachu and curls into a ball of fire. He heads right for Pikachu.
'Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Typhlosion's attack and beans Typhlosion on the mark.
"Not bad, Sora, but check this out. Use your own Quick Attack!" Ethan ordered. Typhlosion dashed at Pikachu and lands a hit with his own Quick Attack. "Now use Eruption!" Typhlosion's flames flared up and lets off a volcanic explosion, hitting Pikachu when the flames made contact with him. "How was that, Sora?"
"Not bad, Ethan! Okay, Pikachu! Use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and sends it right at the Volcano Pokémon.
"Flamethrower to block!" Ethan ordered. Typhlosion fires a Flamethrower to block Electro Ball with success. It results in an explosion. "How was that?"
"That was a nice touch, Ethan. You're going to do great in the tournament!" Sora said.
"Same to you, Sora. Wanna continue?" Ethan asked.
"Oh yeah," Sora said.
"Those two are in perfect synch with each other," Vincent said.
"You're right, they are. It brings back all sorts of memories for me," Ash said, thinking about his time practicing with Sora.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt right at Typhlosion.
"Use Flamethrower!" Ethan ordered. Typhlosion fires a Flamethrower and blocks Thunderbolt. An explosion occurs between them and they both take some damage. "You okay, Typhlosion?"
"Phlosion," Typhlosion said.
"You alright, Pikachu?" Sora asked.
"Pi," Pikachu said.
"That's great," Sora said.
"Sora, Ethan, you're both doing great!" Kairi said.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
"Toge, Toge!" Togepi chirped.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said.
"Don't hold back, Ethan!" Kris said. Vincent looked at Kris and then at Ethan. He knew Ethan and Kris were silently flirting with each other.
"Don't worry, I won't," Ethan said. "You still good to go, Typhlosion?"
"Typh," Typhlosion nodded.
"Okay, Typhlosion! Sora, next hit wins!" Ethan said.
"Okay, you asked for it, Ethan!" Sora said.
"Quick Attack!" Sora and Ethan ordered. Pikachu and Typhlosion charges at each other and land a hit onto each other. Both Pikachu and Typhlosion both goes down at the same time, resulting in a double knockout.
"Call it a draw?" Sora asked.
"Yeah," Ethan said.
Sora and Ethan summoned their Keyblades and cast their healing spell to heal Pikachu and Typhlosion for their injuries.
"You did great, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You too, Typhlosion. That was awesome," Ethan said.
"Phlosion," Typlhosion said.
"Great practice battle, Sora," Ethan said.
"Same with you, Ethan. You're going to do great in the Johto Pokémon League," Sora said.
"So are you," Ethan said.
Sora and Ethan shook hands with one another, congratulating each other.
Meanwhile, Axel arrived to Pallet Town, knowing the Organization will start there. He knew he was making just a big risk as Roxas, but he knew there was no avoiding it. He came to the Ketchum house and he knocked on the door.
"I wonder who that could be?" Delia asked. She answered the door and she recognized him. "I know you. You were there in Greenfield."
"I'm here to see Roxas," Axel said. Hearing Axel's voice, Roxas summoned his Keyblade.
"What do you want, Axel? If you came here to drag me back, then you'll have to fight me!" Roxas said.
"Roxas, Axel, wait!" Xion said.
"Stay back, Xion!" Roxas said.
"What's going on?" Xion asked.
"Take it easy, Roxas, I'm not here to fight, and I'm not here to take you back, either. I only came here to talk. That's it," Axel assured his friend.
"Yeah? You gonna sucker punch me like you did before?" Roxas asked.
"If I was going to do that, I would have already done it, but hear me out, Roxas!" Axel said.
"Nothing to it!" Roxas said, holding his Keyblade tightly.
"Roxas, stop! Please don't fight him!" Delia said, getting between him and Axel.
"Why are you protecting him?" Roxas asked.
"He said he doesn't want to fight you, and I believe him. Please hear him out. For me," Delia said. Roxas looked into her eyes and he relented. He dismissed his Keyblade.
"Okay, Axel. I'm standing down, for now," Roxas said.
"Think I could come in?" Axel asked.
"Sure," Delia said. She leads Axel inside the house and he sat down. He looked around the house and sighed.
"I have to say, I can see why you came here, Roxas. Such a nice place," Axel said.
"Why are you here, Axel?" Roxas asked.
"First of all, Roxas, I thought a lot about what you said to me before. And you were right. I should have been honest with you from the get-go. I'm not expecting you to forgive me, because that's your choice, but I'm asking you to give me another chance. A chance to make things right with you," Axel said.
"Why should I trust you again, especially that you kept it a secret from me?" Roxas asked.
"Because you're my best friend, Roxas; and that's the truth. I got you in this mess, so it's only fair that we're both in it together. Get that memorized," Axel said.
"You should forgive him, Roxas," Delia said, touching his shoulder. Roxas looked at her. "After all, he is your friend, and he is doing what he can to protect you." Tears forms from Roxas's eyes.
"I don't know," Roxas said.
"Give him a chance, Roxas," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"If he wasn't your friend then he wouldn't be here," Karen said. Roxas looked at Axel and he smiled.
"I'm sorry, Axel. I guess I got carried away. You are my best friend," Roxas said. Axel smiled.
"I'm happy for you both," Xion said, hugging them both. Axel placed his hands on their heads.
"You two are the best. But, we better get going," Axel said.
"Going? Going where?" Yuta asked.
"You're not taking me back to the Organization, are you?" Roxas asked.
"No. Because I left the Organization, too. And they're already making plans on getting you back, so they'll be destroying you if you refuse to come back. And this town is the first place they'd look. And on top of that, they'll know about Xion and take her, too. You're lucky I got here first," Axel said.
"Then we're in danger if we stay here?" Xion asked. Yuta placed his hands on her shoulders. Xion looked up to him.
"Don't worry, Xion. We'll cover your escape," Yuta said.
"Are you sure about this, dear?" Mirei asked.
"I'm sure. If Axel's telling the truth, then she won't be the only one in danger. We all will be. The Nobodies will come knocking down our doors and attack," Yuta said.
"Oh, dear," Eliza said.
"We can't just wait for them, can we?" Spencer asked.
"We have Sora and Kairi's Pokémon. They can deal with the Nobodies," Delia said.
"She's right. They can handle the Heartless, so they should handle the Nobodies, too," Mirei said.
"Are you sure about this?" Roxas asked.
"We're sure, Roxas. You, Xion, and Axel will have to stay hidden, and don't worry about Organization XIII. We'll be ready for them," Yuta said.
"Okay," Roxas said.
"Xion, just know that you'll always be welcome to our house," Mirei said.
"Thank you for everything," Xion said. She looked at Seth. "I'll be back, Seth. Be a good boy for me, okay?" She gave the baby a kiss on the cheek, making the baby giggle. Axel opened a corridor of darkness.
"Let's go. They'll be here any minute," Axel said. Roxas and Xion head on inside the corridor of darkness with Xipak and Celeste following. "You should keep Roxas and Xion a secret for right now. Just to be on the safe side." Everyone understood and nodded. The corridor of darkness closes after Axel goes on through.
"Be safe, Roxas," Delia said in a motherly tone.
They got to Professor Oak's lab and convinced Daisy in letting Delia, Yuta, and Mirei in borrowing their children's Pokémon for a while. Daisy understood and she let them borrow them.
It didn't take long until a horde of Nobodies to arrive in Pallet Town. The Nobodies consisted of Dusks, Creepers, Vikings, Bards, Archers, Gladiators, Snipers, Dragoons, Protectors, Knights, Scholars, Assassins, Dancers, Gamblers, Reapers, Ninjas, and Samurais, and a new kind of Nobody.
This Nobody has a well-muscled, bronze-colored upper body, with thin upper arms. Its forearms are mostly covered in large, cylindrical, silver gauntlets, while its blocky hands are black. Its waist and upper legs are silver, while its lower legs are cylindrical and grey. The silver and grey halves of its legs are separated by a steel blue knee brace. Its head is rather small, black, and cylindrical. It wears a silver helmet on its head, which also sports a small, steel blue diamond on its front. A silver Nobody symbol is placed on its left pectoral muscle. It wields a large, bronze, T-shaped hammer with a long, black handle as a weapon. This Nobody is known as the Berserker.
They were close to the Ketchum house, but some of them gets caught in Ariados's threads. Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, and Poliwrath gave some of the Nobodies a thrashing.
The people were running as the Nobodies attacked, but Sora and Kairi's Pokémon managed to save them. Persian slashed through a Creeper as Aerodactyl crunches on a Viking. Gliscor came and gave a Ninja an X-Scissor as Weavile slashed a Reaper.
Ursaluna swipes at a Dragoon as Dragonite swipes at a Knight with a Dragon Claw. Snorlax smashes a handful of Dusks with a Heavy Slam. Snipers and Archers shot at Beedrill, Electrivire, Magmotar, Blissey, and Clefable, but Golduck, Alakazam, Mr. Mime, Xatu, Slowbro, Exeggutor, Slowking, Farigiraf, Espeon, Ariados, Jynx, Celebi, and Mewtwo uses Psychic to block and send their shots back at them, destroying them.
The Pokémon and the Nobodies fought hard against each other. Just then, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Suicune, Entei, and Raikou blasted the Nobodies, destroying some of them.
Seeing this as a losing battle, the Nobodies are forced to retreat. The Pokémon might have won that fight, but they were injured, so they received immediate attention for their injuries.
"Great job, everyone. You showed those monsters who's the boss!" Karen said.
"Pikachu!" Blossom said.
"Looks like Axel was telling the truth and warned us ahead of time," Yuta said.
"I'm just happy Roxas and Xion are safe," Delia said.
"Me too," Mirei said.
Back in New Bark Town, Sora and Ethan were taking a break as Officer Jenny arrived by motorcycle.
"Excuse me, but aren't any of you Sora and Kairi?" Officer Jenny asked.
"I'm Sora," Sora answered.
"And I'm Kairi. Why?" Kairi asked.
"I was informed that your hometown Pallet Town was attacked by a horde of white monsters, and I came to inform you," Officer Jenny said.
"White monsters?!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed in shock.
"Mom, dad, Seth!" Kairi cried, fearing the worst.
"Mom, Karen!" Sora said, getting out his smartphone. He dialed his home phone. Delia answered. "Hello, Ketchum residence."
"Mom, Kairi and I just heard the Nobodies attacked Pallet Town! Are you alright?!" Sora frantically asked.
"Yes, everything's just fine, honey. Kairi's family and your sister are fine, too," Delia said.
"They're okay," Sora said.
"What a relief," Kairi said.
"But, what happened? Why did the Nobodies suddenly appear?" Sora asked.
"I honestly don't have a clue, sweetheart. But just be glad that no one was hurt. It was your and Kairi's Pokémon that saved the day. So everyone is alright," Delia said.
"That's a giant relief, mom. We're just glad you're alright," Sora said.
"I appreciate your call, Sora. Just keep training for the Johto Pokémon League, and we'll be rooting for you," Delia said.
"Okay, mom," Sora said.
"Love you," Delia said.
"Love you too, mom," Sora said, hanging up. Just then, Ash, Leaf, and Professor Oak have arrived to Sora and Kairi.
"Sora, we just heard about Pallet Town! Did the Nobodies just attack?!" Ash asked.
"Yeah, but don't worry. Our Pokémon cleared them out," Sora said.
"Thank goodness," Leaf said with relief.
"I agree. Why would the Nobodies just attack?" Professor Oak asked.
"Probably just to show how nasty they are. Going after me and Kairi is one thing, but going after our families is crossing the line," Sora said with a hint of anger in his voice.
"This attack is unforgivable. They won't get away with this," Kairi said.
Back in the World That Never Was, Saïx appeared before Xemnas as he sat in his throne.
"Lord Xemnas, Roxas was not in Pallet Town as we originally suspected," Saïx reported.
"It seems I have misjudged Roxas. I was certain he would go there," Xemnas said.
"Also, Axel is missing. He has not reported in," Saïx added in his report.
"I see. Do you suspect he is aiding in Roxas's escape?" Xemnas asked.
"I'll have to assume so. I'll send out Nobodies everywhere to find them both. And they will both face judgement for their desertion," Saïx said.
"Summon the rest of the Organization. We are about to have a meeting," Xemnas ordered.
"Yes, Lord Xemnas," Saïx said.
Now that Roxas has fled Organization XIII, it seems that Axel has done the same thing, so he's working on a way to defend both Roxas and Xion, but how long will it take until the Organization will eventually find them? Find out when we continue.
