Episode 201: Team Rocket's Last Chance
Saïx has called upon the rest of the Organization, and they were all told of Axel and Roxas's desertion.
"So little Roxas has gone and ran away from home. But Axel is a whole different story," Xigbar said.
"But why would Roxas and Axel go and run away like this?" Demyx asked.
"It is because Roxas has learned the truth about his origins. And with this knowledge, he has left. And Axel has gone with him," Saïx said.
"Axel has forged an imaginary bond with Roxas. Surely he knows he lacks a heart in order to form a friendship with Roxas. It will lead him down to ruin," Zexion said.
"Ruin or salvation. It should depend on the hand that destiny deals him," Luxord said.
"The Organization's betrayed. Roxas and Axel will be trouble for us as long as they're both out there. Possibly plotting against us," Lexaeus said.
"Axel would only prove himself a fool if he even shows his face around here again. He knows he will face judgment for his part in the desertion," Vexen said.
"He may assume that we will transform him into a Dusk or we will destroy him if he does return to us," Xaldin said.
"It's been like that ever since we sent him out to take out those three losers. It was enjoyable to watch them fail, but they were proving to be a real pain, but what's worst, Axel made sure he failed to do it," Larxene said.
"Roxas and Axel would be anywhere by now. The question is where," Marluxia said.
"The Nobodies are being sent out to search for the deserters. Roxas and Axel will not run and hide forever. Roxas is an essential part for our plans with Kingdom Hearts. Whilst searching for Roxas, we will set our attention on dealing with Sora," Xemnas said.
"What of Axel then?" Marluxia asked.
"Axel has proven himself to be a liability. He must be eliminated," Xemnas said.
"I will see to that," Saïx said.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket were sore from their latest defeat by Sora and his friends.
"Just when we thought we were close, we trip before we even reach the finish line," James said.
"Pikachu and those other Pokémon could have been ours if the twerp with the Charizard haven't butted in," Meowth said.
"Well, at least it can't get any worse," Jessie said. Their computer beeps, indicating that it's from Team Rocket HQ.
"Wanna bet?" James asked.
"We really need to stop saying that," Meowth said. Meowth pushed a button and Giovanni appeared on the screen.
"Giovanni, sir!" Jessie, James, and Meowth all said at once.
"Your report is overdue. Am I to assume that you have failed to capture any rare Pokémon?" Giovanni asked, making Jessie, James, and Meowth wince when they were asked that.
"It's still a working progress, sir," Jessie said.
"We are doing our best," Meowth said.
"Apparently, your best isn't good enough! I have tolerated your failures far too many times! You're fired all three of you!" Giovanni said. Jessie, James, and Meowth started to beg.
"Wait, Mr. Giovanni, wait! Don't you think you're being too hasty?" Meowth asked.
"What Meowth means is, we're getting closer than ever in catching that rare Pikachu for you," Jessie said.
"We won't screw up the next time!" James said.
"Promise!" Team Rocket all said. Wobbuffet and Mime Jr are out of their Pokéballs and begging with them.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.
"Mime!" Mime Jr said.
"I'll give you one more chance to redeem yourselves. You have twenty-four hours to catch at least one Pokémon, I don't care what it is! If you succeed, you will remain being members of Team Rocket, but if you fail, then you're fired! This is absolutely your last chance," Giovanni darkly said. He breaks contact with them, knowing that time was now against them.
"Twenty-four hours. Twenty-four hours or else it's the axe for us," Meowth said.
"This is our last chance to get Pikachu or else," James said.
"How are we going to do it?" Meowth asked with a hint of worry.
"Our time with Team Rocket will be over in a day," James said.
"Stop your moping, the both of you! We can do this! Consider it a challenge! We came close before and I know we can steal Pikachu for the boss and save our jobs!" Jessie said.
"You know, Jessie's right! What are we worried about? This a golden opportunity to finally one-up those twerps and get to the top of the criminal underworld!" James said.
"I'm more worried about us falling off when we get on top," Meowth said.
"The only ones who are going to fall are the twerps! And when the day is up, the rest of Team Rocket will be falling for us!" Jessie said.
"Then, let's get down to planning and swipe that Pikachu!" Meowth said.
"Yeah!" Team Rocket said.
"Wobbufet!" Wobbufet said.
Meanwhile, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Xipak, and Celeste have arrived to Odaiba City as a temporary hiding place.
"This city should do for right now," Axel said.
"The Organization is probably on our trial by now," Roxas said. He looked at Xion and sighed. "Sorry that we dragged you into this mess."
"Don't be sorry, Roxas. I'm just happy to be with you. After all, I already feel safe as long as you and Axel are close by, Roxas," Xion said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
This made Roxas smile. He was starting to blush.
"Wait, am I blushing? I can't be falling in love with Xion, could I?" Roxas asked in his thoughts. He figured it had to be impossible for him to fall in love, because Nobodies cannot feel any love at all.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket had a plan to catch Pikachu once and for all. They disguised themselves as ice cream vendors. They spotted Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel walking down the streets, in lovey-dovey mode.
"There they are. When they see this ice cream stand, we'll grab Pikachu and run like a Doduo," Jessie said.
"Let's get into place for this scheme to work," James said.
"Yeah, the sooner we get Pikachu, the sooner we get back in good shape with the boss!" Meowth said. Team Rocket got to work by ringing some bells.
"Ice cream! Get it while it's cold!" James said.
"It comes in many delicious flavors! Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, cookies n' cream, rocky road, sea salt, bubblegum, chocolate chip, cotton candy, all the colors of the rainbow!" Jessie added. A lot of people started to crowd around Team Rocket's ice cream trap, ordering some ice cream.
"Do you have some neapolitan?" One boy asked.
"I'll take a chocolate!" One girl said.
"I'll take one with cookie dough!" An older boy said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel got close enough.
"Well, that place has to be extremely popular if it got a crowd this big," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah, but it looks too busy. Come on, let's keep going," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel walked on by Team Rocket's ice cream trap without even noticing them. This ticks them off greatly as orders are being made and they watched their target literally walking away from them.
"Some plan, Jess," James said, gritting his teeth.
"Hey, you went along with is just much as me!" Jessie said.
"Okay, how about I come up with one?" Meowth asked.
Team Rocket abandoned the ice cream idea and went on to a Pokémon grooming plan. Jessie, James, and Meowth disguised themselves as professional stylists. They're occupying a booth to spring their trap.
"You sure about this one?" James asked.
"Sure I'm sure. The twerps will come and we ask them to leave Pikachu with us, and it'll be our chance to make like a banana and split!" Meowth said, chuckling.
Just when they started, they spotted Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel coming their way.
"Here they come!" James said.
"Places!" Meowth said.
They were about to spring into action when they were approached by a bunch of girls that each have a Pichu, an Igglybuff, a Cleffa, a Happiny, a Mime Jr, a Munchlax, an Azurill, and a Bonsly. They were bombarding them with all sorts of requests.
"This isn't working!" Jessie and James exclaimed.
They tried several traps to get their attention; they even tried their old pitfall trap, but it wasn't working. They spent several hours trying, but only failing. They were down to merely twelve hours remaining.
"I just know that somewhere in the cosmos, someone is laughing at us," James said.
"Why else would the universe hate us this badly?" Meowth asked.
"Maybe we're doing something wrong. I mean, we tried getting new Pokémon and that didn't work, we tried setting traps, but that didn't work. We spent half a day trying the wrong kind of trap. We just gotta just think of the perfect trick to get the twerps come running, but what and how?" Jessie asked.
They started thinking and thinking and they get an idea.
"Wait a minute! I got it! What if we go for the local Pokémon Center and steal every Pokémon in the whole place?" James asked. Jessie and Meowth just looked at him funny.
"What are you saying, James?" Meowth asked.
"Think about it, you two. We head right for the Pokémon Center here in New Bark Town and waltz right in the door, and use Arbok, Lickitung, Yanmega, Weezing, Victreebel, Bellsprout, and Weepinbell to attack, and then take the Pokéballs of every Trainer inside, making it easier to spot like a campfire on a beach. The twerps will certainly come and attempt to stop us and that's when we have Weezing use Smokescreen to fog the entire building and move in and get to our balloon and head right for base with Pikachu in hand," James said.
"Say, that's a brilliant plan there, Jimmy-boy," Meowth said.
"The perfect trap. If this doesn't get them come running, then I don't know what will! At long last, we can capture that elusive Pikachu and leave them in the dust!" Jessie said.
"Yay!" James and Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet said.
Meanwhile, Wes and Rui have made their report of Roxas's departure from the Organization. DiZ wasn't the least bit surprised by the news.
"So Roxas has learned the truth about himself," DiZ said.
"Rui and I think he might be searching for Sora and return to him," Wes said.
"If that is true, then the Organization will go through great lengths in order to prevent that from happening. I have no doubt that the Organization will certainly force Roxas to return to the Organization since he is the key for their success," DiZ said.
"Just what's the big deal anyway? Why do they need him that badly? And why are they trying to bump off Sora?" Wes asked.
"As you know, Sora and Roxas were both one of the same. Roxas was then born when Sora has transformed into a Heartless. He then lost all of his previous memories as Sora when Kairi has brought him back after his brief transformation. This process has not only robbed Roxas of his memories as Sora, but he was robbed of his full power as well. The Organization's superior knew this as well as I have. He saw Sora as a threat to their plans, so he had to do what he could to prevent Sora's interference, and grant Roxas his full power," DiZ said.
"But if Sora turned human again, shouldn't Roxas have gained some of Sora's newest memories, like the places he's been to, the Pokémon he's seen and caught, and the other past experiences he went through?" Rui asked.
"I'm afraid it's not that simple, my dear. Roxas was unable to gain new memories from Sora, but his previous memories have silently been coming to Roxas. They were manifesting themselves as his dreams, but Roxas has no understanding of why he they're happening," DiZ said. "The Organization is now betrayed, not only Roxas has fled, but Axel has joined him, along with another Nobody."
"You mean that girl with the black hair? What about her? Why is she so special?" Wes asked.
"Unlike most Nobodies, Xion was not born when the individual was turned into a Heartless. I thought it was impossible until this has come to my attention. For a time, she has lived with Kairi's family whilst under the Organization's radar. I knew it was only a matter of time before they discovered her, but it seems Roxas has come to her aide and took her into hiding with her," DiZ said.
"A Nobody, but no Heartless. That is odd. Whose Nobody is she?" Rui asked.
"I could tell you," DiZ said.
"But there is something I want to know first. I waited long enough. What did you want from the moment we've met you?" Wes asked.
"Revenge," DiZ answered.
"Revenge?" Wes asked.
"The Organization must pay for what they have done. I cannot allow them have their way ever again," DiZ said.
Back with Team Rocket, their balloon is seen floating above Ethan's house, knowing they found them at last.
"There's the house they're crashing at," James said.
"Now all we gotta do is have them see us. And they'll be coming to us as soon as they see us!" Meowth said.
"And not a moment too soon. The twerpy couple is just below us," Jessie said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel are heading inside of the house when they spotted the balloon.
"Sora, look!" Kairi gasped.
"It's Team Rocket!" Sora exclaimed. They knew where it was heading. "And it looks like they're heading for the Pokémon Center!"
"We should get the others to help out!" Kairi suggested.
"Good idea. They might have something up their sleeves," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The couple stepped in the house.
"Everyone! It's Team Rocket! They're heading for the Pokémon Center!" Sora said.
"The Pokémon Center?!" Ash exclaimed.
"They're at it again?" Ethan asked.
"We better stop them before it's too late!" Riku said.
"Eevee!" Eevee agreed.
"Let's go!" Terra said.
Everyone all raced towards the Pokémon Center to stop Team Rocket. The balloon floats above the Pokémon Center and climbed down onto the roof.
"They should be on their way by now," Jessie said.
"Now to make it look good," Meowth said.
"Roger," Jessie and James said, tossing their Pokéballs and Arbok, Weezing, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Yanmega, and Lickitung came out, surprising the patrons. Team Rocket bursts in the Pokémon Center.
"We are here to steal your Pokémon!" Jessie and James said.
"They're from Team Rocket!" One of the patrons gasped.
"Use Razor Leaf!" James ordered. Bellsprout, Weepinbell and Victreebel fired Razor Leaf at the patrons. Jessie and James grabbed the fallen Pokéballs and placed them in sacks.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Tracey, Vincent, and the Pokémon all arrived on the scene and spotted their balloon above them.
"There's their balloon. They've got to he inside," Tracey said, looking at the balloon.
"Let's rush 'em," Ventus said.
"Pika!" Sparky said.
"Hold on! If I know those morons, they might be planning something to take Pikachu, too," Sora said.
"Sora's right. Weezing is the only one who knows Smokescreen, so they might be use that to cover their escape," Tracey said.
"Then we're going to need a new approach," Riku said.
"Say, why don't we have Little Miss float right in and takes Weezing out?" Kris suggested.
"It's worth a shot, Kris. Go for it," Leaf said. Kris took out her Pokéball and tossed it.
"Come out, Little Miss!" Kris called out. Little Miss emerged from inside.
"Misdreavus," Little Miss said. Kairi took out a Pokeball and threw it.
"Come out, Mismagius!" Kairi called out.
Mismagius and Little Miss came out as well.
"Mismagius," Mismagius said.
"We need you to head inside the Pokémon Center and take out Weezing," Kris said.
"You too, Mismagius. While you're invisible," Kairi said.
The Ghost-types turned invisible and heads right for the Pokémon Center. Since they were Ghost-type Pokémon, they phased through the wall and they head right for Weezing. Both the Misdreavus and Mismagius use Psychic on Weezing, making him unable to move or use his moves when instructed.
"Any moment now," Jessie said in her thoughts.
Just then, the group entered the Pokémon Center through the front door.
"Not so fast, Team Rocket!" Sora said. Jessie grinned, knowing they came right on schedule.
"Yes, it worked!" Jessie said.
"Weezing! Use Smokescreen!" James ordered. Weezing struggled to use Smokescreen, but he was having trouble due to the telepathic hold the Ghost-types were having on the Poison Gas Pokémon. "I said Smokescreen, Weezing!"
"Weezing!" Weezing said.
"Try harder!" Meowth said, understanding him.
"Okay, something's wrong," Jessie said.
"Eevee! Use Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered. Eevee fired Shadow Ball, hitting Weezing on the mark, resulting in a knockout.
"Aah! Weezing!" James gasped.
"Okay, Sora, you're up!" Riku said. Sora took out a Pokeball and threw it.
"Go! Mamoswine!" Sora called out. Mamoswine came out to battle. "Use Ice Fang on them!" Mamoswine charged at Team Rocket with his tusks emitting ice, hitting both Team Rocket and their Pokemon, sending them flying in the air.
"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket shouted as they go flying in the air. A star twinkles in the distance. Outside of New Bark Town, they come crashing down on the ground, while screaming. They hit the ground hard.
"That didn't turn out as well as I planned," James said.
"Okay, no more miss nice guy! We are going to get that Pikachu and save our jobs even it kills us!" Jessie yelled.
"What the heck is a 'miss nice guy'?" Meowth whispered.
"Don't egg her on, Meowth," James said.
"Now that we know where they're going, we're going to launch the attack on the twerps!" Jessie said.
"Here goes," James and Meowth said.
It was clear as daylight that they were defiently desperate. This was their last chance to please Giovanni, and they couldn't afford to accept defeat. A little while later, just after getting back to Ethan's house, Arbok bursts through the wall, making everyone duck their heads.
"Arbok?" Sora asked. The Cobra Pokemon heads right for Pikachu to snatch at him, but Thor gave him a Mega Punch, sending him flying, smashing the table.
"Oh, my house!" Ethan's mother cried.
"I think I have a good idea on who's going to pay for the damages," Sora said. Arbok was about to attack again, but Typhlosion gave the Cobra Pokemon a toss outside after grabbing him. They all stepped outside and saw Team Rocket. "Seriously, I know how persistent you are, but you're never this persistent. What's the deal?"
"We have made it very clear. We have been trying to be reasonable people, but there's a limit on how reasonable someone can get. So we are going to tell you just this once! Hand over your Pikachu or else we will literally bring down the house and with you in it!" Jessie demanded.
"You're welcome to try, you old hag!" Sora taunted.
"Pika!" Pikachu added. Jessie growled in anger.
"You had your chance! Arbok! Wrap on Pikachu!" Jessie ordered. Arbok heads right for Pikachu, but the Mouse Pokémon just dodged him. Arbok just coming after him.
"Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fired Thunderbolt, sending Arbok back to Jessie and then right at Team Rocket. "Look, I'm going to give you a chance. Stop chasing after us, leave Pikachu alone, and don't ever bother us again."
"We do what we want!" Jessie yelled.
"You had your chance," Sora said. He summoned his Keyblade and held it tight. "I didn't want to use my Keyblade against you, but you forced my hand! I'm not going to kill you, but I'm going to make my message very clear!"
"Go ahead and use it! You think I'm afraid of your magic? Think again! Arbok! Use Wrap on that twerp!" Jessie ordered. Arbok heads right for Sora but he jumped out of the way and he casts a blizzard spell, freezing Arbok. "Now to send you flying! Wind!" Sora summons a powerful wind and used it to blow Team Rocket and the frozen Arbok away.
"Don't you think that was overkill, Sora?" Ash asked.
"They were asking for it. Like I said, I didn't want to do that to them, but they wouldn't stop pushing my buttons," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Leaf spotted them coming back.
"Look at that!" Leaf said.
They saw Team Rocket running back and they were even more determined. Sora groaned in annoyance.
"Again?" Sora deadpanned.
"We are never going to give up!" James said.
"Just make it easy for yourself and hand over Pikachu!" Jessie said.
"No," Sora simply said as he casts his thunder spell, zapping them. He then casts his gravity spell, sending them flying in the air. This went on for hours, so Team Rocket tried and failed time and time again. They tried and tried to catch Pikachu, but Sora just used his magic on them to stop them. It was now one hour remaining. "Look, you can't keep doing this forever! Just give up!"
"Giving up is not an option," Meowth said.
"We will never quit," Jessie said.
"We will keep trying," James said.
Sora casts another aero spell, sending them backwards. But they just came back again and again. And then, they collapsed on the ground, having enough. Just then, a beeping sound is heard.
"Are you going to get that?" Sora asked.
Meowth pushes a button on the laptop and Giovanni is seen on the screen.
"Your day is up. I trust you have caught at least one Pokémon, did you?" Giovanni asked.
"We're so very close, sir," Jessie said.
"Very close is not good enough!" Giovanni yelled. "You three have disgraced Team Rocket for the final time! You're fired! DON'T EVER RETURN TO HQ!" Giovanni cuts contact with the former Team Rocket members and they started bawling like babies.
"So that's how it ends! We're all washed up! Our careers in the criminal underworld is officially up in smoke!" Jessie cried.
"Everything we've been through has gone down the toilet!" James cried.
"This was our chance! Now we will never hit the big times!" Meowth cried.
Sora dismissed his Keyblade and he approached them, making them look up. Sora had a stern look on his face.
"Okay, let me make this clear with you! You morons had this coming for a long time. You keep following us around, and it's incredibly annoying. Your motto is annoying, and your constant attempts to steal my Pikachu are annoying! I mean how low were you going to sink by stealing Pokémon from other Trainers, after all the love and care that took to raise them? Just how would you like it if someone just stole your Pokémon without thinking of the consequences? While we're on the subject, you never think of the consequences of your actions! You almost killed an entire forest just to get rich! You tried to destroy an entire town by causing a forest fire! You almost ruined the Whirl Cup for everyone forever by attempting to steal the Sea Spirit! You almost blown up an entire canyon just to find some Pokémon fossils! And now you come here and attack this house just an attempt to steal my Pikachu! Well, I have had it you! I have had it with the things you have done! I have had it for all the times you keep showing up when nobody wanted you! I don't ever want to see your faces again! So just get out here and don't ever come back!" Sora yelled.
Seeing the anger in Sora's eyes, the former Team Rocket members started to run off.
"I know we're not with Team Rocket anymore, but think we should just say it?" James asked.
"Might as well," Jessie said.
"Team Rocket's blasting off for the last time!" The Moron Trio said, running off.
Jessie, James, and Meowth have been fired from Team Rocket, so what will happen to the disgraced villains? Well, we might as well find out as we continue on.
