Episode 208: The Fall of Team Rocket
Several days have passed since returning from the Johto region. Sora and Kairi have dropped the Pokémon they had with them to Professor Oak's lab. This was peaceful for the most part. There weren't any Heartless nor Nobodies attacks, and that's what made Sora worry. He knew it wouldn't be long until something happens. Wes and Rui followed them from the Johto region, back to the Kanto region. Rei has moved into a house that was down the street from Sora and Kairi's house.
Tracey didn't take long to get well-adjusted into being Professor Oak's assistant. Kairi was happy to be home with her baby brother again. Ethan was staying over in Ash's house as Kris and Lyra were staying over in Leaf's house. Sora and Pikachu have stepped out of his house and started to head right over to Gary's house, knowing he was about to take off. And it looks like he was right on time. Gary was leaving for Sinnoh when Sora shouted out to him.
"Hey! Gary!" Sora called out. Gary turned around and spotted Sora.
"Hey, Sora. Came to see me off?" Gary asked.
"Yeah. I thought I'd give you a little something before you go," Sora said. He took out a charm that looks like a Blastoise's shell. "Kairi made that, and she wanted me to give this to you. Hope you like it," Sora said. Gary took it and smiled.
"Nicely done. You tell her that I appreciate it," Gary said.
"I heard from Daisy that the only Pokémon you're taking with you is your Blastoise," Sora said.
"I thought I'd make a fresh start. Also, I might end up catching the local Pokémon living in Sinnoh. What will you be doing right now?" Gary asked.
"For now, I think I'll take it easy. And learn more about the Keyblade while I'm at it. My dad's old apprentice is teaching us fine," Sora said.
"Well, just take it easy with that Keyblade of yours, Sora. And keep an eye out for any Heartless and Nobody out there," Gary said.
"You do the same, Gary," Sora said. "But on the other hand, take care while you're in the Sinnoh region."
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"You take care, too. And I'll put the recipe for the Pokémon food Kairi provided to good use," Gary said.
With that said, Sora and Gary hi-five each other before Gary took off. He gave one last wave to Sora and he does the same. Sora knew he was going to do just fine learning from Professor Rowan.
Meanwhile, Cassidy and Butch were brought over to Giovanni for briefing for their newest mission.
"Cassidy and Butch reporting for our mission, sir," Cassidy said.
"Good of you to come. The mission I have for you is an absolute important misson," Giovanni said.
"Whatever you want done, consider it done," Butch said.
"Excellent. I want you both to go down to Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town to steal all of the Pokémon belonging to Sora and Kairi," Giovanni said.
"Sora and Kairi?" Butch asked.
"They're the ones who have interfered with our previous operations in the past if I recall," Cassidy said.
"You are correct, Cassidy. So as an act of revenge, I want you to steal every one of those Pokémon and have them brought over to me at once," Giovanni said.
"Anything for a chance for them ruining our schemes," Cassidy said.
"And now they're going to pay for it with the Pokémon they love and cherish," Butch said.
"You have your assignment, so you may go," Giovanni said. Cassidy and Butch went off to go on their assignment.
"They must have some pretty rare and extraordinary Pokémon hidden there," Cassidy said.
"Taking all those Pokémon will be like taking candy from a Togepi," Butch said. The Team Rocket agents snickered.
Back in Pallet Town, Sora walks by a group of younger kids who were playing while one of them in a wheelchair is reading a Dragon Ball Z Manga. He lowers his Manga and spotted Sora coming.
"Hey, Sora," the boy greeted.
"Hey, Mikey," Sora greeted back. He saw the Manga. "Is that the latest issue of Dragon Ball?"
"Yeah? Wanna have a look?" Mikey asked, offering him the Manga. Pikachu just gave him a stern glare. Sora knew it has a lot to do with Kairi and Angel. He had to turn him down.
"Sorry, no time. Maybe another time," Sora said.
"Okay, Sora," Mikey said, waving from his wheelchair. "See you later!"
"You too!" Sora waved back. He took off for home.
Delia is seen polishing her son's latest trophy and placed it down next to the one he won in the Indigo Plateau and all of his Gym Badges.
"There, nice and sparkly," Delia said. "I honestly wish Roxas was here. I'm sure Sora and Roxas will get along so well."
The Pichu were getting adjusted to their new lives in Pallet Town. They often got into some mischief with Mimey, and the Mr. Mime would chew them out for it. They hid behind either Pikachu or Blossom whenever it happens.
Meanwhile, Roxas, Axel, and Xion sat down as they ate some sea salt ice cream as Xipak and Celeste were playing with each other.
"So now that the Johto Pokémon Leauge is over, what's going to be next?" Axel asked.
"To be honest, I don't have the slightest idea," Roxas said.
"Me neither. You think we'll find a safe place to hide if the Organization tries to find us?" Xion asked.
"You might have a point, Xion. The Organization will move every stone, climb every tree, and turn every mountain into a Diglett hole to find us," Axel said.
"So in other words, they'll be no safe place for us to hide," Roxas said. Unknown to them, Davis is hiding. He came to their hiding spot when he spotted them and went in to look into it. He knew by the appearence, it had to be the one who TK, Kari, and Mimi saw before. He started to sneeze, giving himself away. Axel summoned his Eternal Flames and held them right at Davis just when he was making a break for it.
"Okay, who are you, and why are you spying on us?!" Axel asked.
"Hey, take it easy! I wasn't spying, I was just watching you very quietly," Davis said.
"Technically, it is spying, goggle-head. Get that memorised," Axel said. Roxas and Xion rushes over to Axel.
"Axel, is everything alright?" Roxas asked.
"Found this stalker lurking around," Axel said. Roxas just looked at Davis and he blinked twice.
"Davis?" Roxas asked. Davis just looked at Roxas.
"Hey, how do you know my name?" Davis asked. He looked at Roxas and he blinked twice. "Huh? Ven?" Davis looked at Xion. "And when did you dye your hair, Kairi?"
"I'm not Kairi. I only look like her," Xion said.
"Her name's Xion. And I'm not Ven, I'm Roxas. And the guy with the red hair is Axel," Roxas said. Axel said nothing. "Axel, put the chakrams down. He doesn't mean any harm."
"I can't be too careful," Axel said.
"Look, he's right. I don't mean any harm. Just put those frisbees down," Davis said.
"Not frisbees, chakrams," Axel corrected him. He then dismissed them. "But if Roxas can vouche for you, then I can, too," Axel said. "Okay, why were you spying on us?"
"I saw you guys over here some days ago. I told my friends that you were here, but they didn't believe me, so I came to see you for real and I thought I saw Ven and Kairi, but you I never seen before," Davis said.
"So you decided to drop in on us. You're lucky I didn't skewer you with my weapons," Axel said.
"I think I know who you two are. You're with Organization XIII. Our friend Ash told me and my friends about you," Davis said. Roxas sighed.
"I was," Roxas admitted. Davis blinked twice. "I left the Organization."
"I did, too. Right after he did," Axel said.
"I was never a member, so I tagged along for the ride," Xion said.
"I think the others should hear this," Davis said. "I mean, they did wonder what kind of person you are, Roxas. And I know they'd want to meet you, too, Xion."
"I think I'd like that," Xion said.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
Meanwhile, Cassidy and Butch have arrived to their destination. It was the outskirts just outside of Pallet Town.
"This is it. Pallet Town. The hometown of that no-good, do-good Sora along with that redhead brat girlfriend, Kairi," Cassidy said.
"We're finally getting the payback we deserve. They foiled our scams and ruined our kidnapping plan," Butch said.
"Not to mention, Team Rocket's other schemes for world domination," Cassidy said.
"The Pokémon Tower, Celadon City, Saffron City, the Slowpoke Well, Mahogany Town, and then Goldenrod City," Butch said. He growled in anger.
"All that's why we're here, Butch. They took everything from us, so we'll return the favor by stealing every Pokémon they've got," Cassidy said.
"They'll pay for everything," Butch said. "And everything will go as planned, especially with those three idiots out of the picture."
"And as an extra precaution, we have some help to provide a distraction," Cassidy said. Just then, a Heartless appeared right behind them. It looks like a Shadow, but it's wearing the uniform of the Team Rocket grunts. Instead of the Heartless symbol, it has Team Rocket's signature R on the front. This Heartless is a Shadow Rocket. "Go find Sora and Kairi. And deal with them." Several more Shadow Rockets appeared and began to search for Sora and Kairi.
Back in Odaiba City, Davis brought Roxas, Axel, Xion, Xipak, and Celeste to his friends. Mimi, TK, and Kari recognized the two of them.
"Hi again," TK greeted.
"It's been a while," Kari said.
"TK, Kari, and Mimi, right?" Roxas asked.
"He knows our names?" Mimi asked.
"Yeah, he even knew my name when I met them," Davis said.
"Looks like I owe you an apology, Davis," Yolei said.
"You're Roxas, aren't you?" Izzy asked.
"Yes. Davis mentioned you know about me through Ash," Roxas said.
"That's right," Sora T said.
"And what about the other two?" Cody asked.
"The name's Axel. Got it memorized?" Axel asked.
"I guess," Cody said.
"And who are you?" Ken asked Xion.
"Is it me, or does this girl look like Kairi?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, but it's not her," TK said.
"But the only thing different about her is that her hair is black," Mimi said.
"What's your name?" Joe asked.
"My name's Xion," Xion introduced.
"Pika, Pika, Pikachu!" Xipak said.
"Right. This Pikachu is Xipak," Roxas introduced his partner.
"And this Eevee is Celeste," Xion introduced her partner.
"Eevee," Celeste said.
"Nice to meet you," Kari said, petting Xipak and Celeste.
"We're told that you're a Nobody. So do you know whose Nobody you are, Roxas?" Tai asked.
"Actually I do. It's Sora Ketchum. I'm his Nobody," Roxas said. The group were surprised by this.
"His Nobody?" Joe asked.
"Ketchum's Nobody? That's a shocker," Tai said.
"That means he turned into a Heartless, right?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, but he didn't remember too much about his past when Sora changed back from a Heartless," Axel said.
"How?" Sora T asked.
"It's like this. I was born when Sora has sacrificed himself when he and Kairi were fighting some guy in a mask and he held two Keyblades in his hands. I had Sora's memories at the time, but then I suddenly lost all of my memories as Sora when Kairi brought him back. But I was slowly getting them back, piece by piece through my dreams. And some of those dreams included you and your families. During that time, I was brought in Organization XIII and they had me go out on missions. That is until I found out the truth about myself," Roxas explained.
"You did say you were with those guys. Does that mean you left?" Davis asked.
"Yeah, he did. It was after I told him. Roxas got mad at me when I told him, and I could hardly blame him. Not long after that, I left the Organization and head out to Pallet Town since I knew that's the first place they'd look," Axel said. "And I had to get Xion out of there, too, because I knew they'll learn about her and take her."
"That's when those white monsters attacked. My mom was covering that one," TK said.
"Not only her, but our dad was doing a news coverage about the attack," Matt said.
"So since we know Roxas is Sora 2's Nobody, but whose Nobody is Xion?" Yolei asked.
"I don't know, to be honest. But staying with Kairi's family, it felt right to me. It felt like I've been there before, but I haven't," Xion said. A ringing is heard. Tai took out his orange Rotom Phone and it has a dark orange symbol on the back. The symbol is a stylized sun. He saw it was Ash calling him. He goes off and he answers it.
"Hey, Ash. What's up?" Tai asked.
"How are things from your end, Tai?" Ash asked.
"If you're wondering about us finding a way into the realm of darkness to rescue Cascade, then we're still very cold. How about you, Ash?" Tai asked.
"Same," Ash said.
"I thought I should let you know Roxas is back in Odaiba City. Along with Axel and Xion," Tai said.
"What?! You're kidding!" Ash exclaimed from his end.
"Davis was the one who found them. And get this. Roxas and Axel left the Organization," Tai said.
"Kairi's dad was right to trust Axel after all. I just had no idea," Ash said.
"Well, there's one more thing I think you should know. Roxas is Ketchum's Nobody. He just told us," Tai said. Ash was silent to hear this bit of news.
"I knew there was something familiar about Roxas. I should have seen it. What about Xion? Tell me you learned something from her," Ash said.
"She still doesn't have a clue about her own past," Tai said.
"I'll let Leaf know about this. In the meantime, keep me posted," Ash said.
"On it," Tai said, hanging up.
Over to Ash's house, he looked at his Rotom Phone and he sighed. He contacted Leaf. He listened to the ringing. He hears Leaf answering.
"Hey, Ash. What's up?" Leaf asked.
"Leaf, I just got off the phone with Tai. He told me Roxas, Axel, and Xion are there with them," Ash said.
"You sure, Ash?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah. And there's something else," Ash said.
"What?" Leaf asked.
"I just learned Roxas is Sora's Nobody," Ash said. Leaf was silent for the moment. He picked up on the silence. "Yeah, that was my reaction, too."
"It's just I'm so very surprised about this. Does either Sora or Kairi know?" Leaf asked.
"No. I think it's best we keep it a secret between us for now. We don't know how Sora would react to the news," Ash said.
"Okay, I'll keep it a secret for now. I'll see you later," Leaf said.
"You too," Ash said, hanging up.
Meanwhile, Sora came by his house and went to Kairi's house. He knocked on the door. Mirei opened the door, holding Seth in her arms. Seth started to reach for Sora's hair.
"Oh, hello, Sora," Mirei greeted.
"Hi. Is Kairi home?" Sora asked.
"She is. She's in the kitchen right now. Want me to tell her you're here?" Mirei asked.
"If it's alright with you, I'd like to surprise her," Sora said.
"Of course. Go right in," Mirei said. Sora walked past her as Seth continued to reach out to him. Kairi is pouring some Pokémon food for Angel and Togepi as Sora and Pikachu quietly approached Kairi. He covered her eyes.
"Guess who?" Sora playfully asked.
"Sora," Kairi said, almost laughing.
"You sure about that?" Sora asked. Kairi took his hands off her eyes and she turned around to kiss him. Pikachu jumped over to Angel and nuzzled her affectionately. "Surprise."
"I was going to see you," Kairi said as she giggled.
"It's true what they say. Great minds think alike," Sora said. Kairi just giggled. "Gary wanted me to tell you that he says thanks for the gift."
"Glad you got it to him in time. Now that it's done, how about we go and have our afternoon stroll," Kairi said.
"I like that idea," Sora said. He took his girlfriend by the hand as Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi followed their Trainers. Kairi gave Seth a quick kiss on the cheek before taking off.
Over to Rei, she is getting settled in her new house. She placed the eight crystals on a pedestal in the following order: fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, ice, darkness, and light. She set up her photo gallery, finishing the final piece being herself when she was younger and with Kaito and a pregnant Delia. It was the last photo that they ever took before Kaito's death.
"I never thought I'd come back here. Now I have no excuse to be here," Rei said. She suddenly sensed something in the air. She felt a pair of yellow eyes looming over her. She quickly turned around and summoned the Star Cluster in her hand. "They're here." She stepped of her house as several Shadow Rockets appeared all around her. She held her Keyblade tightly as the Shadow Rockets came at the Keyblade Master. She cartwheels out of the way and she slashed at two of them, destroying them both.
Meanwhile, Butch and Cassidy arrived to Professor Oak's lab. They're disguised as a Golem and a Nidoqueen.
"I always dreamed of being a queen when I was a little girl, but never a Nidoqueen. I feel absolutely ridiculous," Cassidy said.
"Heh, I think I make a good Golem," Butch said.
"And why is that?" Cassidy asked.
"We're both very similar. We're both strong, tough, fierce, powerful," Butch said, unaware of the two of them are being spyed on by Wes and Rui.
"Looks like you were right, Rui. Team Rocket's making their move," Wes said.
"They'll do anything to get the payback they want. Sora and Kairi should know about this," Rui said, taking out her own Rotom Phone and used it to send text messages to the phones of Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra. They saw the message.
There are members of Team Rocket lurking around, disguised as a Nidoqueen and a Golem. They're going to steal Sora and Kairi's Pokémon as an act of revenge. Get down to the lab at once!
"That can't be good!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra all exclaimed at once.
Back at the lab, Butch still went on about how he compares himself to a Golem.
"We're both great fighters, we're both fearless, we're both..." Butch went on.
"ALRIGHT! ENOUGH!" Cassidy exclaimed, annoyed. She then gave a frustrated sigh. "I thought Jessie was full of herself."
All around Pallet Town, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, and Marill rush towards Professor Oak's lab. Sora started to call Professor Oak through his Rotom Phone. Professor Oak hears the ringing of the phone and he answered it.
"Hello," Professor Oak said.
"Professor, we gotta talk!" Sora said.
"I'm very busy at the moment, Sora, you'll have to-" Professor Oak didn't finish his sentence.
"It really can't wait. Someone just tipped me off about Team Rocket being in the area!" Sora said. Professor Oak felt uneasy when he heard Sora say that.
"Are you sure?" Professor Oak said.
"Yeah. And get this. They're posing as a Golem and a Nidoqueen," Professor Oak said.
"You did the right thing by telling me," Professor Oak said as he hung up. He knew Sora would never pull a prank like this on him and he also knew Team Rocket would do anything to get what they wanted. He had to be on high alert. He checks his alarm system, making sure they're in perfect condition.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi, they continued to run for Professor Oak's lab when a horde of Heartless quickly surrounds them. They consisted of Rocket Shadows, Silver Dragons, Uni-Walruses, Octocshells, Emerald Seahorses, Cyclodactyls, Wreckadillos, Mandipedes, a Guard Armor, and a new Heartless.
One of them is a large purple lobster-like Heartless. It has large silver pincers and yellow eyes. It has long antennae and sharp mandibles. The Heartless symbol is located on both of its claws. This Heartless shall be known as the Metal Lobster.
"Heartless!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed as they summoned their Keyblades.
Over to Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill, they were in the same situation with a horde of Shadow Rockets, Soldiers, and a Sergeant.
Ash and Leaf were surrounded by the Shadow Rockets, but also Bad Dogs, Hammer Frames, Aeroplanes, and Hot Rods.
Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill are surrounded by Rocket Shadows, but also by Armored Knights, Surveillance Robots, and Large Bodies.
They all summoned their Keyblades and engaged the creatures of darkness while Butch and Cassidy were heading for Professor Oak's lab to steal all of Sora and Kairi's Pokémon.
"What are the chances that the Heartless are dealing with the brats by now?" Butch asked.
"Very good. Soon they'll be out of the way," Cassidy said. Still in their disguise, Cassidy and Butch are strolling on the grounds, but a Nidoking pops out and shows interest in Cassidy, thinking she's a real Nidoqueen. Cassidy winced. "A real Nidoking." The male Drill Pokémon starts to follow them.
"It's following us. I think it has the hots for you," Butch said.
"Shh. Pretend it's not there," Cassidy said. Nidoking then grabs Cassidy from behind. "Get it off of me."
"What do you want me to do about it?" Butch asked.
"Rock Throw! Stone Edge! Rock Blast! Anything!" Cassidy exclaimed.
"I'm not a real Golem!" Butch argued.
"Didn't you say you're tough as a real Gol-" Cassidy didn't finish her question as Nidoking kept clinging onto her. "Hey, back off, you perv!" She pushes Nidoking off, but the male Drill Pokémon just kept coming on to her. "Go away! Shoo!"
"It thinks you're playing hard to get!" Butch said.
"I said, go away! Leave me alone!" Cassidy said, pushing Nidoking back, but Nidoking sends Cassidy flying. Butch rushes over to his colleague.
"Cassidy, are you okay?" Butch asked.
"If I knew I was about to be raped by a horny Nidoking, I should have posed as a Kangaskhan or a Miltank," Cassidy said.
"Come on, we're almost there," Butch said.
"Right," Cassidy said, getting up.
Over to Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill, Riku and Naminé fought off the Heartless. The Sergeant was the most difficult one to deal with.
"You think they could be trying to distract us?" Naminé asked.
"You might be right, Naminé. We saw some Heartless in Goldenrod City when Team Rocket tried to take over, so it wasn't surprise me if they're using the Heartless in this one," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"What should we do about them?" Naminé asked.
"Maybe we should use that combo we've been practicing. This'll be the first time we put it to good use. You ready?" Riku asked.
"Ready when you are," Naminé said.
"Okay, here goes!" Riku said. Riku held his Braveheart as Naminé held her Oathkeeper straight as they fire sparkles of light at the Heartless until none of them were left. "Let's go!" Riku, Namine, Eevee, and Azrull rushed for Professor Oak's lab.
Over to Ash and Leaf, they contnued their own fight with the Heartless as Rei appeared and casts a powerful spell. She summoned some comets down right the Heartless. Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill saw the comets and come down. They smashed the Heartless as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi were surprised by the coming down the Heartless, destroying them. Rei lowers her Star Cluster.
"What was that spell just now?" Ash asked.
"Just an advance spell I learned a long time ago. I managed to target the Heartless. The others might have had the same Heartless problem," Rei said.
"It's good to see you're here, Master Rei, but the thing is, Team Rocket are going to steal Sora and Kairi's Pokémon," Naminé said. Rei didn't like how that came out.
"That's not acceptable. Let's go," Rei said, running ahead of Ash and Leaf. They followed her. Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill have caught up with Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi.
"Sora, Kairi, we're glad to see you're doing okay," Lyra said.
"Marill, Marill," Marill said.
"Yeah, you too. Someone sent us a text that Team Rocket are heading to Professor Oak's lab," Sora said.
"We got the same text," Kris said.
"So we gotta hurry!" Leaf said.
"I agree. Let's go!" Rei told her apprentices.
Butch and Cassidy eventually reached one of the windows. They took off their disguises and hid them. Cassidy took out a device to deactivate the alarm systems as Butch took out a glass cutter and placed it on the window. He used it to cut the glass and open the window.
"Infiltration complete," Cassidy said.
"With the alarms turned off, we'll sneak out before they know what hit them," Butch said. They laughed evilly and quietly, not wanting to give each other away. They snuck around the lab and found the room for storing extra Pokéballs.
"Here they are," Cassidy said.
"Not properly secured. It's just like they're begging us to steal these Pokéballs," Butch said.
"Well, we shouldn't keep them disappointed," Cassidy said.
Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Eevee, Azurill, and Marill have found the cut window. Sora made another call to Sora. Professor Oak answered.
"Hello, Sora," Professor Oak answered.
"Professor, Team Rocket's inside," Sora said.
"The alarm didn't go off. I'll get on it," Professor Oak said. Tracey came in with some tea.
"I brought some tea for you to dri-" Tracey was cut off when Professor Oak shushed him.
"Someone's in the lab. Someone that doesn't belong here. The alarm didn't go off, so they did something with it, and I don't have a doubt they're in the Pokéball storage room," Professor Oak said. Tracey understood and he went with Professor Oak to catch the thieves.
Cassidy and Butch has grabbed the last of the Pokéballs and they grinned very evilly.
"Last one," Butch said.
"All's that's left is the Pikachu, Eevee, and Togepi in their possession," Butch said.
"We'll deliver these ones to the boss first. We only got one shot to get it right, so we have to make it count," Cassidy said.
"Yeah, after the rumors of the grunts doubting Giovanni and all the failures we went through, we can't afford to take a chance," Butch said.
The Team Rocket agents started to make their way towards the window they came in through. That was when Professor Oak and Tracey spotted them.
"What?!" Cassidy and Butch exclaimed in surprise.
"I remember you! You kidnapped me back in Goldenrod City!" Professor Oak said.
"Sorry, not sorry, but we're on an important mission," Cassidy said.
"So, we'll be off," Butch said, taking out a smoke bomb and used it to cover their escape. Professor Oak and Tracey covered their mouths, avoiding breathing in the smoke. The Team Rocket agents got out, but they saw they're surrounded by Sora and their friends.
"Going somewhere?" Leaf asked.
"How did you get past the Heartless?" Cassidy asked.
"That was my handy work," Rei said.
"You're not going anywhere with those Pokémon," Lyra said.
"You think you can stop us?" Cassidy asked.
"You're outnumbered and surrounded!" Ash said.
"So yeah, we can stop you two," Ethan said.
"We did it before," Kris said.
"And you can bet we can do it again," Naminé said.
"So your only option is to give it up," Riku said.
"You're kidding. Team Rocket won't be stopped. It won't even matter," Butch said.
"And you're not getting in the way ever again!" Cassidy said. "Not after we take all of your Pokémon to our boss! Along with those three!"
"You're gonna try!" Sora said.
"Butch, let's do this thing!" Cassidy said, taking out a Pokéball.
"You got it!" Butch said. Cassidy and Butch threw their Pokéballs.
"Go! Granbull!" Cassidy called out.
"I choose you, Shuckle!" Butch called out.
A Shuckle and Granbull both came out, ready to battle.
"You're going in, Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Angel! Go!" Angel said.
"I'm joining in, too," Rei said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Arcanine!" Her Pokéball opened and her Arcanine came out to battle.
"Shuckle! Use Sludge Bomb!" Butch ordered. Shuckle fired Sludge Bomb at Pikachu and Angel.
"Dodge it!" Sora and Kairi called out. And the Pokémon couple dodges it.
"Granbull! Use Fire Fang!" Cassidy ordered. Granbull charges at Pikachu and Angel with flames forming around its fangs.
"Arcanine! Use Flame Charge!" Rei ordered. Arcanine charges right at Granbull, hitting the Fairy Pokémon. "Okay, Arcanine! Use Flamethrower!" Arcanine fired Flamethrower, hitting Granbull.
"Shuckle! Use Stone Edge!" Butch ordered. Shuckle hurls Stone Edge at the Legendary Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Rei called out. Arcanine dodged it just by jumping out of the way.
"Pikachu! Use Iron Tail on that Shuckle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail, hitting Shuckle on the mark.
"Granbull! Use Play Rough on that Eevee!" Cassidy ordered. Granbull heads right for Angel.
"Follow Pikachu's lead with Iron Tail!" Kairi ordered. Angel swings her tail and struck Granbull hard, dealing some damage. "Use Swift!" Angel fired Swift at the opposing Pokémon and dealt some damage on them. Granbull and Shuckle were both knocked out. Cassidy and Butch called back their Pokémon and took out their other Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Houndour!" Cassidy called out.
"I choose you, Hitmontop!" Butch called out.
Hitmontop and Houndour both came out to battle.
"Houndour! Use Fire Fang on Pikachu!" Cassidy ordered.
"Hitmontop! Use Triple Kick on that Eevee!" Butch ordered. Houndour and Hitmontop rushed at Pikachu and Angel.
"Arcanine! Use Dragon Breath!" Rei ordered. Arcanine spewed Dragon Breath onto Houndour and Hitmontop. "Extreme Speed!" Arcanine dashed at Hitmontop and Houndour, dealing some additional damage, resulting in another double knockout. Rei called back her Arcanine. "It's over, Team Rocket."
"Not if we have anything to say about it," Butch said. Butch's entire body ceased to move. "Wait, what's going on?!"
"Butch, what are you doing? Make our cover!" Cassidy said.
"I'm trying, but something's keeping me from moving!" Butch said, struggling. It turns out to be Espeon using Psychic on Butch, keeping him from moving. Umbreon appeared and used Feint Attack on them both, knocking them both out.
"You again!" Sora said. Espeon and Umbreon looked at the group and ran off. "Wait! Come back! Where's your Trainer!" They were way out of sight. Professor Oak and Tracey stepped out.
"Is everyone alright?" Professor Oak asked.
"Yeah, we're fine. Can't say the same for them," Sora said, pointing to Cassidy and Butch who are now unconscious.
"We should call the police," Tracey said.
"I'm with him. They won't get away with this," Kris said, dialing the number for the police. "Hello, police. We came across two members of Team Rocket. We caught them trying to steal Pokémon from Professor Oak's lab."
The police arrived and arrested Cassidy and Butch for the attempted theft. Sora and Kairi were very relieved that not one of their Pokémon were taken. They were all in front of Sora's house. Sora was very angered by what they almost got away with.
"Team Rocket really crossed the line this time. There's no way they're getting away with this," Sora said.
"You're right. They won't," Ash agreed.
"There isn't a line they won't cross. They don't care who they hurt. They'll do anything to get what they want," Leaf said.
"But they won't hurt anyone ever again. After what Butch and Cassidy tried to do, we can't take any more chances," Sora said.
"What are you suggesting, Sora?" Riku asked.
"Eevee, vee?" Eevee also asked.
"The thing we do is take out Team Rocket once and for all," Sora said. Everyone all just looked at Sora like he was crazy.
"You're kidding, right?" Ethan asked.
"Take out Team Rocket? Sora, that's a really tall order," Naminé said.
"I know what you guys are thinking, but hear me out. As long as Team Rocket's around, no Pokémon anywhere in the world is safe. I'm not saying it out of revenge, I'm saying it because they're going to try again," Sora said.
"You know something, he's right. They'll just try to steal Sora and Kairi's Pokémon again," Riku said.
"But we don't even know where they're hiding. They could be anywhere," Kairi said.
"It'll be much easier said than done," Kris said.
"Yeah. It's not like their secret base is going to show up on any map," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
Just then, they recieve a message. They checked their Rotom Phones and saw a text message from an unknown source.
We found Team Rocket's base of operations. You'll be receiving a map of their location very shortly.
They didn't wait long until they got all the same message. It was indeed a map, pinpointing their exact location.
"And I thought Sora turning back from a Heartless was a miracle," Leaf said.
"Professor Oak should know about this," Sora said. Agreeing with Sora 100%, the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers all rushed over to Professor Oak's lab. And that's when Professor Oak was being interviewed by Looker. He turned and saw them. He smiled.
"We meet again," Looker said.
"Looker?" Sora asked.
"I take it that you know each other," Professor Oak said.
"We actually met on a few occasions," Sora said.
"I just came by because it's my understanding that your Pokémon were almost abducted earlier today, is that correct?" Looker asked.
"Yeah, that's right," Sora answered.
"The professor also told me that you received an anonymous text, alerting you of the crime about to take place," Looker said.
"We all did," Lyra said.
"We also just received another message and the location of their base," Sora said.
"Their base?" Professor Oak asked, raising a brow.
"That's the real reason we're all here, professor. We thought you might know the name of the location," Kairi said. Sora hands Professor Oak his Rotom Phone and he looked over the map. He then pulled up the map on his computer.
"This might be the break we're looking for. We were searching for Team Rocket's base for years. And it looks like we finally found it," Looker said. "You're coming with me. All of you."
Looker took the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers with him to International Police HQ and they went right to the head office. Looker told the chief of the International Police where it was located.
"Good work, Looker. The break we need has finally come onto our doorstep," the chief said.
"Glad you think so, sir. This is our chance to bring Team Rocket down to their knees," Looker said.
"Go for it," the chief said.
It didn't take long for the briefing room being filled up by International Police officers. Sora and his friends sat in with them. Looker stepped in.
"Okay, boys and girls. Listen up. I will start things up by announcing we have finally found where Team Rocket is hiding," Looker said. Everyone all muttered among themselves. "As you all know, Team Rocket is an organization that exists for the purpose of stealing and exploitating Pokémon. They have used Pokémon to commit all sorts of crimes. And today is the day we give Team Rocket the biggest punch in the face that the world will never forget!" All of the officers all cheered, knowing they're finally putting them all in jail. "When the sun rises tomorrow, Team Rocket will be no more! Trainers can finally be able to walk down the streets without the fear of having their Pokémon stolen! Today, Team Rocket is finished! So let's go and make sure it is!"
With that said, the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers and the International Police boarded their helicopters and flew through the canyons. There were police vans driving on the ground.
"So what's the plan?" Sora asked.
"We storm the base. The main objective is Giovanni himself. If he escapes, then it will all be for nothing. And he might end up going under our radar again. We can't let him get away," Looker said.
"That's not going to happen," Sora said.
"Sir, I see a building of some sorts up ahead," the pilot reported. Looker took out a pair of binocluars and looked through them. It was Team Rocket's base.
"That's it. Take it down! We don't want them seeing us until we want them to!" Looker said. The pilot lands the helicopter as do the others. The vans all parked behind them. The International Police stepped out and they let out all let out some Pokémon which consisted of an Arcanine, a Machamp, a Steelix, a Rhydon, a Granbull, a Donphan, a Golem, and a Poliwrath. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Pikachu, Angel, Togepi, Eevee, Azurill, and Marill were ready to take action.
"I see someone," Kris whispered. They saw a couple of grunts walking in their direction. They were stepping out to carry out their mission by foot. Looker gave word that a couple of them were coming their way. Once they were close enough, several officers surrounded them.
"Stay where you two are! You're under arrest!" One of the officers said. The grunts were shocked to see that the International Police have found them at last.
"How did you find us?" One of the grunts asked.
"You'd be amazed," the first officer said, cuffing him. Another officer cuffed the other one.
"Okay, kids. Go!" Looker said. Sora and his friends nodded. They head for the buildoor. Ash, Leaf, Ethan, and Kris have let out Charizard, Venusaur, Typhlosion, and Wani-Wani for this. They stopped at the front door.
"So which will it be? Keyblade or Pokémon power?" Lyra asked.
"I vote for Pokémon power," Ash said.
"I like that idea," Sora said.
"Thought you would," Ash said as he turned to Charizard. "Alright, Charizard. Do your stuff." Charizard busts through the front door, alarming the Team Rocket members.
"What the hell?!" One of the female grunts exclaimed.
"How did they find us?!" A male grunt asked.
"Attack!" Sora shouted. Not needing to be told twice, the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers stormed the base.
"It's them! The kids who ruined all our plans! Get rid of them!" Another male grunt yelled. Not wasting any time, the grunts all let out several Pokémon that consisted of Ekans, Arbok, Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Muk, Raticate, Pinsir, Tyranitar, Sneasel, Weavile, Haunter, Gengar, Houndour, Houndoom, and Fearow.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.
"Eevee! Shadow Ball!" Riku ordered.
"Charizard! Fire Blast!" Ash ordered.
"Venusaur! Leaf Storm!" Leaf ordered.
"Typhlosion! Flamethrower!" Ethan ordered.
"Wani-Wani! Use Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered.
"Marill! Bubble Beam!" Lyra ordered.
The Pokémon all obeyed and fired their chosen attacks on the Team Rocket Pokémon. Their combined attacks were enough to bring them down. Just then, the International Police started to storm the building.
"RAID!" A female grunt shouted.
The International Police Pokémon brings down any Pokémon that got in their way. Sora knew Giovanni was somewhere at the top. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi went off to find him.
Speaking of which, Giovanni sat in his office. A rocking sound from outside. He presses a button on his intercom.
"Matori, what is going on out there?" Giovanni asked.
"Sir, I've just gotten word that the International Police are raiding our base! I don't know how, but they found us!" Matori said.
"Impossible. They couldn't have found us," Giovanni said. He turned on the security monitors and he saw the International Police raiding his headquarters, much to his annoyance. "The law will not stop me." He looked at several monitors and he saw Sora and Kairi going through the halls. Giovanni growled in anger. "I should have known! This will not stand!"
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi continued their way through. Sora and Kairi summoned their Keyblades when Heartless have come. A Shadow lunged at Kairi, but she slashed at it. A Soldier tried to slash Sora, but he slashed at it, too.
Over to Giovanni, he never took his eyes off the monitors. Matori stepped into his office.
"Sir, we must evacuate the building at once!" Matori said.
"No," Giovanni coldly said. Matori was caught off guard when Giovanni said.
"No?" Matori asked. She didn't understand what was going on through his mind. "Why not?"
"Because those two have been getting in the way for the last time! And I'm going to bury them both in this building!" Giovanni said.
"Giovanni, sir. Please reconsider! You're not thinking clearly!" Matori said.
"I am. I won't stand for any more of their tiresome meddling!" Giovanni darkly said. He punches the monitor showing Sora and Kairi, surprising Matori. He pulled back with his hand bleeding. "It ends today."
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi continued to storm the halls as more Heartless came at them. Some of them are Shadow Rockets, Neoshadows and Sargeants. Sora and Kairi slashed through the Heartless, destroying them. The couple and their Pokémon continued going up, taking out the Heartless.
Back to the battle with the grunts, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Eevee, Azurill, and Marill continued putting down Team Rocket. Just then, Shadow Rockets appeared, alerting the International Police.
"Heartless!" Naminé exclaimed.
"WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?!" One of the officers exclaimed.
"Leave them to us!" Leaf said, summoning her Keyblade. Riku, Naminé, Ash, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned theirs and used them to strike them down.
"No one told me that Team Rocket has monsters!" A random officer said.
"Take them down! It doesn't who or what it is! Leave none of these monsters standing!" Looker ordered.
And they do so.
"Take this! Die!" Another officer shouted as he was beating a Shadow Rocket until it dissolved in a black puff. Some of the Shadow Rockets started to scratch at the officers. Some of them gets their shields out of the way. It looked like it was the end for them, but Naminé saved their lives by casting a thunder spell, destroying them.
"Are you okay?" Naminé asked.
"Azu?" Azurill chirped.
"Yeah, thanks to you," one of the officers said. Naminé smiled.
Just then, the lights go off as Wes moved in with his hood down. Some Team Rocket members attempted to get away, but he prevents them from escaping. He also dealt with some Heartless. The lights came back on a few seconds later. Wes had already left by then. The Heartless were gone and the Team Rocket members and their Pokémon were unconscious.
"Round them up. All of them," Looker said.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togepi, they saw Matori step out, and they knew it was Giovanni's office. She saw them.
"You've got some nerve coming here," Matori hissed.
"Out of the way, lady," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I don't think so," Matori said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Meowth!" Her Pokéball opened and her Alolan Meowth came out.
"I got this, Sora. You go take down Giovanni!" Kairi said.
"Right," Sora said, heading to the office.
"Stop them!" Matori said. Meowth was about to attack Sora, but Kairi stepped in.
"Use Quick Attack!" Kairi ordered. Angel dashed at Meowth, hitting it. She turned to Kairi with a glare. "You're not going to reach him that easily."
"Fine. I'll take you down first," Matori said.
Meanwhile, the four executives tried to get away, hearing the commotion, but they end up being surrounded by the International Police and their Pokémon.
"Don't you four move!" One officer said.
"You're under arrest!" Another officer said.
Over to Sora and Pikachu, they spotted Giovanni staring at the monitors.
"Giovanni," Sora said.
"It's been a while since we've seen each other face-to-face. I never would have imagined that a boy like you would be the source of so much trouble," Giovanni said.
"It should be considered a hobby," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Trying to steal all of my Pokémon just to get back at me was a low thing to do, Giovanni. I won't let you get away with it," Sora said. Giovanni turned around.
"Last we met, you tried to take me in. I gotten away the last time when we were so close to achieving our goal. The worlds would have been Team Rocket's. There wasn't going to be a world where no one has ever heard of Team Rocket," Giovanni said.
"Yeah, and we ruined it for you and for Ganondorf, and every other villain you teamed up with. Now you're all alone. The last member of Ganondorf's pose," Sora said. Giovanni turned around and glared at Sora.
"I won't go down so easily, boy. Persian! Go!" Giovanni said as Persian jumped at Sora.
"Pikachu!" Sora called out.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Pikachu! Use Electro Ball!" Sora ordered. Pikachu forms a ball of electricity and sends it at Persian.
"Use Power Gem!" Giovanni ordered. Persian fired Power Gem and used it to successfully block Pikachu's Electro Ball. "Use Shadow Claw!" Persian rushes at the Mouse Pokémon with a Shadow Claw.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodges, but Persian came at Pikachu and successfully lands a Shadow Claw onto him.
Over to Kairi and Matori, their battle was getting started.
"Meowth! Use Night Slash!" Matori ordered. Meowth came at Angel with Night Slash.
"Angel! Dodge and use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel dodges and fired Swift at the Alolan Scratch Cat Pokémon. "Use Iron Tail!"
"Dodge and use Fury Swipes!" Matori ordered. Meowth dodges Angel's Iron Tail and gave the female Eevee five scratches. "Use Dark Pulse!" Meowth unleashed Dark Pulse and it hits her.
"Hang in there, Angel!" Kairi said. Angel struggled to get up.
"Take it down! Use Bite!" Matori ordered. Meowth came at Angel with a Bite.
"Use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Angel headbutts Meowth on the mark. "Use Iron Tail!" Angel swings her tail and hits Meowth. "And your turn, Togepi! Use Metronome!" Togepi shifts his arms back and forth.
"Metronome? You're not seriously putting your faith in that particular move, are you?" Matori asked.
"I am," Kairi said. Togepi's Metronome has turned out to be Flash Cannon. It strikes both Matori and Meowth, knocking them both out.
"Good work, you two," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Toge, Toge," Togepi chirped. Kairi summoned her Keyblade and casts her blizzard spell on Matori, freezing her in place.
"Why don't you cool off for a while?" Kairi suggested with a pun.
"Persian! Use Feint Attack!" Giovanni ordered. Persian vanishes and then appeared again. The Classy Cat Pokémon lands a hit onto Pikachu. "Feint Attack again!" Persian uses it on Pikachu again and again.
"Hang in there, Pikachu," Sora said. Pikachu slowly gets back on his feet.
"Use Power Gem!" Giovanni ordered. Persian prepares to attack with Power Gem. Kairi, Angel, and Togepi came to the rescue.
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered. Angel fired Swift, hitting Persian, canceling out Persian's Power Gem. "I got your back, Sora. Let's end this at the same time!"
"Right," Sora agreed. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!"
"Angel! Use Swift!" Kairi ordered.
Pikachu and Angel fired Thunderbolt and Swift, combining their attacks. Persian was struck hard by their combo attack. Persian was then knocked out, making Giovanni angry.
"You little brats!" Giovanni snarled. "I'm not done yet!"
"Flare Blitz!" A familiar voice shouted. An Arcanine rushes at Giovanni and lands a hit onto him, taking him down. It turns out to be Looker who did it.
"Looker," Sora said.
"Glad I came just in time," Looker said. Looker took out his handcuffs and placed them on Giovanni's wrists. "Giovanni, you are under arrest for crimes against humanity and Pokémon."
It was official. Team Rocket was finished. The Team Rocket members were being loaded in the police vans parked outside. Giovanni hatefully glared at Sora as he entered the police van along with Matori and the executives.
"You may have defeated Team Rocket today, Sora Ketchum, but Team Rocket will one day rise from the ashes like the mighty phoenix. And we will exact our revenge on you when you least expect it. Team Rocket will be back," Giovanni vowed.
"Now Team Rocket's finished, now what?" Ethan asked.
"We destroy their base just so no one will ever use it again," Sora said, summoning his Keyblade. Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra do the same thing. They unleashed beams of light and struck the Team Rocket building, causing it to crumble to the ground. Once that was done, everyone started to head back for Pallet Town.
But will Team Rocket make a comeback like Giovanni vowed? That is an answer that only time knows.
And just like I promised. Well, Team Rocket may return within the Alola arc as Team Rainbow Rocket, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, and I plan on putting in the details of Ganondorf's defeat on Journey Through the Worlds soon. Anyway, the next one will he the Mirage Kingdom arc, like I promise. Stay tuned.
