Episode 211: Departing For Hoenn
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Togetic have arrived back to Viridian City where they found Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Rei, Tracey, Karen, Eevee, Azurill, Marill, and the Pichu waiting for them.
"Sora, Kairi! Thank goodness you're safe. I was fearing the worst!" Rei said.
"We're sorry to worry you, Master Rei. We had a really exciting day," Sora said.
"I'll say you did. Did Togepi evolve into that Togetic?" Karen asked.
"He did," Kairi said. Azurill and the Pichu were awestruck by what they were seeing.
"It's wonderful," Naminé said.
"Not surprising. Kairi has raised Togetic very well," Ash said.
"No argument from me," Leaf agreed.
"This is amazing!" Tracey said.
"Just where were you and what happened?" Riku asked.
"I think we should explain it at home," Sora said.
With that said, the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers returned to Pallet Town as the couple's parents were waiting for them to come back. Yuta and Mirei were awestruck to see Togetic, knowing their daughter's little Togepi has evolved.
Sora and Kairi filled them in about the Mirage Kingdom and about how Colonel Hansen hired three criminals to abducting Kairi just to nab Togepi. They also filled them in about the crowning ceremony and about Paradise.
"My goodness, it must have been awful for those poor Togepi," Mirei said.
"Well, I'm glad that Colonel Hansen guy was stopped. If I ever get my hands on him, I'll make him swallow his own teeth," Yuta said.
"Yuta, dear," Mirei admonished her husband. Yuta calmed down.
"You're right, hun. I just get really touchy when someone messes with my family," Yuta said.
"Well, I wouldn't blame you. I felt like doing that to him," Sora said.
"We all would have if we were there," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee added.
A couple of weeks have passed since their exciting time at the Mirage Kingdom. Sora and Kairi have gotten news about the Mirage Kingdom. The newly crowned Queen Sara had decreed that Colonel Hansen was banished from the Mirage Kingdom forever along with those loyal to him.
Over to Odaiba City, Roxas was sitting by himself, thinking. Tai walked up to him.
"Hey, Roxas," Tai said. Roxas turned to face him. "What's up?"
"Just thinking," Roxas said.
"About what?" Tai asked.
"About Sora. I've been wondering if I should or shouldn't go back to him," Roxas said.
"Go back? You're not serious, are you?" Tai asked.
"Yeah. I've been thinking about it ever since I left the Organization. We know I can't stay here forever; especially with the fact they'll eventually find me and Xion," Roxas said.
"Well, Roxas, it's not really my call to make. It's yours. Just ask yourself what you wanna do," Tai said. Roxas thought of what Tai just said and he sighed.
"You're right, Tai. But, when I do return to Sora, will we still be friends?" Roxas asked.
"You know we will, Roxas," Tai said. They fist bumped.
Unknown to Roxas, Axel was listening in on their talk. He knew it was going to happen someday, but he just wasn't ready to let Roxas go yet, but he knew he couldn't stop it even if he tried; just like he couldn't stop Roxas from leaving the Organization.
Meanwhile, we're at Oldale Town as Xigbar stood on the roof of a building.
"I got a hunch that one or two of the Keyblade wielders might show up here in the Hoenn region. And that's where you come in, Vanitas," Xigbar said. The individual he's talking to is the masked boy.
"It's just as my master has predicted. More and more Keyblade wielders are to awaken the sleeping power within them. And they are to be the guardians of Kingdom Hearts," Vanitas said.
"Bringing you back was more than a challenge than I thought, but it'll worth it. Think you can be up for it? You might be pretty rusty," Xigbar said.
"I can handle it. If the other Keyblade wielders comes to the Hoenn region, I can give them quite a welcome. And so will the Unversed," Vanitas said.
Appearong next to him is a sleek, humanoid creature with blue skin. Its arms and legs end in points and have no distinct digits. It has a triangular head with two long, jagged, lightning bolt-shaped antennae reminiscent of some kind of symbol. Its red eyes are set in an angry expression, and it moves in a jerking, twitchy motion. This creature is known as the Flood.
Over to Teol, is sleeping in his bed and he dreams of seeing an emblem that seems to be hauntingly familiar to him. The emblem is designed to resemble a heart expressing emotion. It uses sharp corners, deep curves, and straight edges to form a heart shape in its center. Teol jolts awake and he felt uneasy.
"No. It cannot be," Teol said.
Over to Rei's house, she hears a knock on her door. She answered it to see Teol standing in front.
"Teol? What are you doing here?" Rei asked.
"I have some troubling news. And you must know," Teol said.
"Of course. Come in," Rei said. Teol enters her house to speak with her. "What is it?"
"I have sensed a terrible disturbance," Teol said. Rei knew it could be serious, so she had to hear what the wizard has to say.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel started to stroll down the street. But they see someone coming their way.
Coming their way is a tall, large man with fair skin, dark eyes, short and slightly wavy brown hair, and a squarish face with a beard. He wears a navy blue T-shirt under a white lab coat, khaki shorts with a black belt, and tan sandals on his feet.
"Who's that guy?" Sora asked.
"I don't know," Kairi said. The man walks closer. It looked like he was lost.
"Confound it, now I have lost my way," the man said. The couple went up to him.
"Um, excuse us," Sora said. The man turned to them. "Are you lost?"
"Actually, I was hoping if you two kids could help me out. I'm on my way to see Professor Oak's lab and I seem to lost the way I was going, so I was wondering if you know the way?" The man asked.
"Would it help if we just show you the way, sir?" Kairi offered.
"Oh, I don't want you two to go through that kind of bother for me," the man said.
"We know how to get there and we both know Professor Oak personally," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Well, if you insist, then I can take you up on the kind offer. My name is Professor Birch by the way. And you would be?" Professor Birch asked.
"I'm Sora and this is my girlfriend, Kairi," Sora introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It's nice to meet you," Kairi said.
"The same to you," Professor Birch said. He took a look at Pikachu and Angel. "I don't mean to pry, but are you Pokémon Trainers?"
"Not really. And yeah, me and Kairi are Trainers," Sora said.
"I thought so, since you have a Pikachu and an Eevee with you and since you know Professor Oak," Professor Birch said.
"Come on. We'll lead the way," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
The couple lead the professor to Professor Oak's lab. When they reached the place, Professor Oak was going over some research when he heard a knock on the door.
Tracey answered the door and he sees Sora and Kairi at the door with Professor Birch.
"Sora, Kairi. Good to see you two," Tracey greeted.
"Hey, Tracey. We found this guy lost, trying to find this place," Sora said.
"Oh, and you would be?" Tracey asked.
"I'm Professor Birch. I came here to meet with Professor Oak, but it seems I was a tad behind schedule," Professor Birch said.
"Oh, yes, professor. I was told you were coming today. Professor Oak was wrapped up in his own work, too. Would you like to come in?" Tracey asked.
"Thank you," Professor Birch said.
"Sora, Kairi, why don't you come in as well? Professor Oak was going to ask for you," Tracey said.
"Okay," Sora said.
"Alright," Kairi said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel walked in the lab to talk. Tracey went to fetch Professor Oak as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, Angel, and Professor Birch waited for Professor Oak to come. Tracey walked in the room.
"Professor. Professor Birch has arrived," Tracey said.
"Has he?" Professor Oak asked, standing up. He looked at the time. "Hm, time sure flies when you're busy."
"He said that he was late getting here," Tracey said.
"You can say I was the one who was late, because I lost track of time. I hope he found his way over just fine," Professor Oak said.
"He had help from Sora and Kairi, so it's okay," Tracey said.
"That's good. They're already here, so it saves me the trouble of having them brought over," Professor Oak said.
Professor Birch is sitting on the couch, examining Angel's fur.
"I can see you did a wonderful job raising your Eevee, Kairi. Such a nice, shiny coat," Professor Birch said.
"Thank you, professor. That's very nice of you," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said. Kairi giggled.
"Even Angel thinks so," Kairi said.
"You're very welcome, Angel. You have the softest fur than most Eevee I have ever seen," Professor Birch said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"The same for your Pikachu, Sora," Professor Birch said, petting Pikachu.
"Thanks, professor," Sora said. Professor Oak and Tracey have entered the living room.
"Professor Birch, I presume?" Professor Oak asked.
"Yes. I apologize for my tardiness," Professor Birch said.
"No apologize necessary. I lost track of time due to my research," Professor Oak said. He then looked over to Sora and Kairi. "I do appreciate the two of you escorting Professor Birch over here."
"It's the least we could do, professor," Kairi said.
"Have you two met before?" Sora asked.
"Not face-to-face. That is until now," Professor Birch said.
"But you look like you seem to know about each other," Kairi said.
"Professor Birch is a Pokémon researcher who lives in Littleroot Town located in the Hoenn region. Professor Birch does research on Pokémon habitats. I called him here for reseach discussions, but since you're here, I thought it would be a good idea to talk," Professor Oak said.
"Sure," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
The professors have spoke to Sora and Kairi about the land of Hoenn and what it has to offer. Sora became interested and Kairi knew there was going to be another journey about to begin. And also more Pokémon to see.
"The Hoenn region. Sounds like a cool place," Sora said.
"I was hoping you would like that, Sora. In fact, I have a son who is about to recieve his very first Pokémon, but I promised him one as soon as I got back. And if you're interested, I can take you back with me just so you can see for yourself," Professor Birch offered.
"Sure thing. That sounds awesome," Sora said.
"We will have to discuss it with our friends and families before we get started," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm sure they'll approve," Professor Oak said. "You'll have all the time to think it over."
Sora's Rotom Phone starts ringing. Sora saw it was Ash calling him.
"Better answer that," Sora said. He answered his Rotom Phone. "Hey, Ash. What's up?"
"Sora, it's Master Rei. She said she wants to speak with all of us. She said it's urgent," Ash said.
"Kairi and I are on our way," Sora said. Kairi looked at her boyfriend with a hint of worry on her face.
"Sora?" Kairi asked.
"I think this gives us an excuse to speak it over with them. Sorry for taking off like this, professors," Sora said.
"It must have been an important call," Professor Oak said.
"We'll have an answer for you when we get back," Sora said.
"It was great meeting you," Kairi said.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel took off for Rei's house, wondering what was so important. When they reached the house, they saw Kris outside.
"Sora, Kairi. I'm glad you got here," Kris said.
"Any idea on what's about, Kris?" Kairi asked.
"No. I was only told to come here," Kris said.
Sora, Kairi, Kris, Pikachu, and Angel stepped in the house. Riku, Naminé, Ash, Ethan, Lyra, Eevee, Azurill, and Marill were waiting for them to come.
"Glad you made it," Riku said.
"What's up?" Sora asked.
"I'm just as clueless as you are, Sora," Riku said.
Rei and Teol approached the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers.
"Apprentices, I have summoned all of you here, because Teol has brought an urgent matter to my attention," Rei said. Teol approached the Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers.
"I wish I could say it's a pleasure to meet some of you, but unfortunately there are some things beyond my control," Teol said.
"What's wrong, sir?" Lyra asked.
"Marill?" Lyra asked.
"I have felt a terrible disturbance, my young friends. It is a presence I have not sensed for many, many years. It is an ancient enemy I have hoped to be long-since extinct. This enemy is known as the 'Unversed'," Teol explained. The Keyblade wielding Pokémon Trainers were a bit lost on the Unversed, except for Ash.
"Unversed?" Sora asked.
"What are those?" Ethan asked.
"The Unversed are horrific monsters that have been born from feelings of negativity. Just like the Heartless and the Nobodies, the Unversed have all sorts of appearences and frightful powers. You must be on high alert," Teol said.
"If the Unversed were gone all this time, then why are they coming back now?" Leaf asked.
"I'm afraid I don't know. But, I first sensed their presence in the Hoenn region," Teol said.
"Hoenn?!" Sora and Kairi exclaimed in shock.
"That definitely gives us a reason to get down to Hoenn," Sora said.
"Yes, it does," Kairi agreed.
"Chu," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Can you explain what you mean?" Rei asked.
"The thing is, we met Professor Birch, a Pokémon researcher who came from the Hoenn region. He's over at Professor Oak's lab right now," Sora said.
"He offered to come with him to Littleroot Town," Kairi said.
"I think you should. Because if what you told me about other chosen by the Keyblade living in Hoenn, then they'll be in danger of the Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed. But, you should discuss this with your parents first," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora and Kairi both said in unison.
"In fact, you should all go to the Hoenn region. It shall be a good experience for all of you," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra all said.
"I think I'll head back home for the Alola region before I do that. Just to drop by home," Riku said.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"And I'll come, too. Just to see it with my own eyes," Naminé said.
"I have no objections," Rei said with a smile. "Prepare yourselves for your upcoming journey. And when you arrive, try to see the sights, and catch some of the local Pokémon there. And strike down any Heartless, Nobody, or Unversed that cross your path."
"Yes, Master Rei," Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra all said. Everyone except for Ash have left.
"Teol, Master Rei, if I may, I would like to speak with the both of you," Ash said.
"Of course," Teol said.
"Oh Sora, I knew you were going to spread your wings and fly again," Delia said.
"And just after your journey in Johto," Mirei said.
"Glad you're on board with us," Sora said.
"We were just worried you would just say no about it," Kairi said.
"Dear, you do not need a stamp of approval from us. You only need to follow your hearts," Mirei said.
"Your mother is right, Kairi. You two have been through so much from day one and I know you'll do the same now," Yuta said.
"Also, someone has to take care of my Sora when I'm not around," Delia said, making Sora blush.
"Mom," Sora said embarrassed. Kairi giggled.
"But before you go, you're going to need some more suitable traveling clothes since the ones you're wearing seems to be a little too small for you," Delia said
After a few minutes, Sora came down wearing a new outfit, while still wearing his crown necklace. He wore black v-neck t-shirt with a white Pokéball across the stomach, red shorts that are black below the knee with both built-in pockets and external pockets, and a blue belt. His new shoes are similar, but the straps are white, the soles are blue, and the ankle of the shoe is black. He also has new fingerless gloves which are black in color and have a single yellow strap.
"Look out you, Sora," Delia said.
"You look very dashing," Mirei said.
"You look very good, Sora," Kairi complimented. Sora couldn't help but blush.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Thanks buddy. That means a lot," Sora said, patted on his head.
"Pi," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Back to Rei's house, Ash told Teol of Cascade when he and Leaf were in the realm of darkness. Teol's eyes have filled with tears.
"Cascade. She's still alive after all," Teol tearfully said.
"But there's more, Teol. I had some weird dreams that are related to Cascade, Viento, and Gaia. I was wondering maybe if you have a clue about the dreams?" Ash asked.
"I'm afraid I don't. I do share your Master's theory of your dreams serving as a guide to learning of the fates of Cascade and her two friends," Teol said.
"And what about this Master Xehanort? Is there anything pointing to him?" Ash asked.
"I cannot say. But long ago, I had hoped Xehanort's heart wouldn't lead him astray. Go and prepare for your journey, young Ash," Teol said.
"Yeah. And thank you for hearing me out," Ash said, taking his leave.
Over in Odaiba City, Xion recently started to have some dreams of her own. They were the memories of Kairi. Xion wondered if Axel knew. She had to ask him herself. Xion approached Axel.
"We need to talk, Axel," Xion said.
"Sure. What about?" Axel asked.
"You knew from the start Roxas is Sora's Nobody, so I thought you'd know about me, too. I'm going to ask you. Whose Nobody am I?" Xion asked. Axel knew he couldn't get out of it, so he had to say it.
"You're Kairi's Nobody. But, you're a different kind of Nobody, Xion. You weren't born the same way as me and Roxas. And how you were born, I don't have any clue in that department," Axel said.
"I see. I guess it would have been too easy to ask," Xion said.
"No, you were right to ask me, Xion. Just what is it you wanna do?" Axel asked.
"Maybe if I rejoin myself with Kairi, things would be okay. But, I don't know how Roxas would react," Xion said.
"That's gonna be a hard thing to do, Xion," Axel agreed. He ran his fingers through his large red hair. He couldn't bring himself to tell her Roxas plans on doing the same thing. But, he did wonder about one thing. "You love Roxas, don't you, Xion?" Xion looked at Axel with a surprised look on her face.
"But, I'm a Nobody. And Nobodies can't feel love, because we don't have hearts," Xion said.
"Yeah. I know. We've been told repeatedly that we don't have real emotions like people and Pokémon do. But I will ask you this question. Is it real to you?" Axel asked. Xion paused for a moment before she answered.
"Yes," Xion said.
"Then you should let him know. And I promise that I'll always have your backs," Axel said. He gave his signature grin. "Got it memorized?" Xion smiled widely.
"Yeah, I got it memorized, Axel," Xion said.
Over to Roxas, he and Xipak sat alone together. Roxas looked up to the moon. The moon reminded him of Kingdom Hearts. But, Roxas knew he wouldn't be able to go back and face the entire Organization by himself; espesically with half of Sora's abilities. He sighed heavily. Xipak noticed this.
"There's no way around it," Roxas said.
"Pika?" Xipak asked, looking at him.
"There's no other way, but the one that's already in front of me. I'll have to rejoin with Sora," Roxas said.
"PIKA?!" Xipak exclaimed with shock. Xipak could hardly believe what he heard Roxas say. He had to talk Roxas out of it. "Pika, Pikachu, Pika, Pika, Pika!"
"What's wrong, Xipak?" Roxas asked. He looked into the Pikachu's eyes and saw tears coming down as they were drops of water. Roxas knew Xipak didn't want Roxas to go. "I'm sorry, Xipak, but I don't have a choice. The only thing I can do is go back to Sora, because he needs me. I can't take on the Organization as I am, but Sora can. I need you to be strong for me, okay, buddy?" Xipak was still crying, but he had to be strong for Roxas's sake.
"Pikachu," Xipak said. He gave Roxas a hug, and the Nobody hugged him back.
Xion and Celeste approached Roxas and Xipak.
"Roxas?" Xion asked. Roxas and Xipak turned to see Xion and Celeste. "Can we talk?"
"Sure," Roxas said. Xion walked up to Roxas as Celeste walked up to Xipak. "What's on your mind, Xion?"
"I just learned whose Nobody I am. It turns out I'm Kairi's Nobody. I guess that's how I was able to live comfortably with Kairi's family when I did, and how they welcomed me," Xion said.
"What do you want to do, Xion?" Roxas asked.
"I was thinking of going back to Kairi. That way, the Organization won't know about me. And Kairi can keep me safe," Xion said. She then placed her hand over chest. "But... I don't know if I should, because of you." Roxas took Xion by the hand, surprising her. Xion looked at Roxas.
"You should, Xion. I'm saying this to you, because I'm thinking of rejoining Sora. Just know Kairi's not the only one who can keep you safe. I can keep you safe even while I'm with Sora. And that's a promise, Xion," Roxas said. Xion just smiled as she hugged Roxas. He hugs her back. "And if we're their Nobodies..."
"That could only mean..." Xion said.
Roxas and Xion looked at each other while blushing.
"We love each other just the same as Sora and Kairi," Roxas and Xion said in unison. They then kissed each other on the lips with so much passion. Tears are shed from their eyes. Xipak and Celeste watches them kissing and they follow their lead and kiss each other in the same passion. Axel, Tai, Kari, and their friends come by and they stopped when they see the Nobodies kissing.
"Shoot! I missed the start," Axel said. Roxas and Xion parted lips. Xipak and Celeste do the same thing. "Guys." Roxas and Xion turned and looked at their friends.
"How long have you been there?" Roxas asked.
"Just during the kiss," Yolei said, blushing.
"Tai filled us in that you're going back to where you came from, right?" Cody asked.
"Yes. We are. It's the only way set things right again," Roxas said.
"You don't have to if you don't want to, Roxas. You still have all the time to think it over," Sora T said.
"No. We both made up our minds. Xion and I are going back to Sora and Kairi. They need us, and we need them," Roxas said.
"But, what if we might never see each other again, Roxas?" Mimi asked.
"She's right. We only known you for a short time. And we're not sure we're ready to let you go yet," Joe said.
"Don't worry. Roxas and I will be even closer than you think we are. And that's a promise. Right?" Xion asked.
"You bet it's right, Xion. We'll never forget you, and I know you won't forget us," Roxas said.
"They're back home in Pallet Town, so it'll be easy for you to meet up with them," Tai said.
"I'll get you there," Axel said, opening the corridor of darkness. "Go on through."
"Axel. I..." Roxas said.
"Don't worry about it. I promise to keep you safe, wherever you are. I'll always have your backs. So get going, lovebirds," Axel said. Roxas and Xion took each other by the hands.
"You ready to go, Roxas?" Xion asked.
"I am," Roxas said.
The Nobodies walked through with Xipak and Celeste following them. The corridor of darkness closes. Tears forms in Axel's eyes.
"You sure you wanna let them go, Axel?" Matt asked.
"I'm sure, Matt. I couldn't talk them out of it even if I tried. But I am going to make good on my promise," Axel said.
"You think we'll ever see them again?" Kari asked.
"I'm sure we will, Kari. Xion did say they'll be much closer than we think they are," TK said.
"Because they touched our hearts the same way as Sora and Kairi," Izzy said.
Ash is heading home and a corridor of darkness opened up. Roxas, Xion, Xipak, and Celeste stepped out.
"Hello, Ash," Xion greeted.
"Hey, Xion. And hey, Roxas. I take it that you know now, right?" Ash asked.
"I do," Roxas confirmed. He sighed. "And we have come to set things right."
"How?" Ash asked.
"We're going back to where we came from. Roxas has to return to Sora while I have to go back to Kairi," Xion said. Ash was caught off guard when Xion said she was going back to Kairi.
"You mean you're Kairi's Nobody?! But, she never turned into a Heartless," Ash said.
"No. I was created differently than any other Nobody. I have to go back to Kairi," Xion said.
"I understand, you two. Just know I'll always be there for you," Ash said. Roxas and Xion smiled.
"Thanks, Ash," Roxas said. He turned to Xipak. "Well, I guess this is goodbye."
"Pikachu," Xipak sadly said.
"I'm going to miss you, Celeste," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Celeste cried. Roxas and Xion hugged their partners and then they turned to the houses. They turned to each other and they gave each other another kiss.
"I love you," Xion said.
"I love you, too," Roxas said. They head for the separate houses.
Delia, knowing Roxas has come back opened the door.
"Welcome home, Roxas," Delia greeted.
"Hi, mom," Roxas greeted.
"Would you like to come in?" Delia asked.
"Yes, but there's a reason I'm here, mom," Roxas said.
"What is it?" Delia asked.
"I'm going to rejoin Sora. I'm going to make things right again for him," Roxas said.
"Honey, are you sure?" Delia asked.
"I'm sure," Roxas said. Delia hugged her son's Nobody tightly. Roxas hugged her back.
"I don't care if you're a Nobody or a human being, you're always going to be my son. And I know Sora and Karen will accept you as their brother," Delia said as she cried. Roxas also cried.
Yuta and Mirei have allowed Xion to enter when she came back. They told them that she's her Nobody. Yuta and Mirei were shocked, but they didn't care because it was like they had another daughter and Seth had another sister.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Xion?" Mirei asked.
"I'm sure, mom. Kairi will keep me safe," Xion said.
"We know she will, Xion. Just know to us, you'll be our daughter," Yuta said.
"And we love you very much," Mirei said. Xion cried heavily.
"Thank you, mom, daddy," Xion said, crying.
Axel appeared through the corridor of darkness and he sighed. Music starts playing as Axel watches the houses. He thinks of the memories that he shared with them.

"Roxas, Xion..." Axel cried.

Roxas and Xion enters the rooms of Sora and Kairi as Delia, Karen, Yuta, and Mirei watched from the door. Sora is sleeping with Pikachu close to him as Kairi is sleeping with Angel and Togetic sleeping just as close.
"Sora/Kairi," Roxas and Xion said. "I just wish we could have met under better circumstances." Their bodies gave off a bright glow and they flow into the hearts of Sora and Kairi.
"Welcome home, Roxas/Xion," Delia, Yuta, and Mirei said.
We see Axel standing outside and he knew they have rejoined Sora and Kairi.
"Take care of them, Sora, Kairi," Axel said.
"Pikachu," Xipak cried.
"Eevee," Celeste also cried.
On the next morning, Sora is dressed in his new clothes. Kairi is wearing a new outfit, almost similar to her previous outfit. She wore a yellow shirt over a red top, still exposing her navel. She wore a dark pink skirt and she wore white shoes, similar to her last pair. Their families and their Master stood outside, wishing Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra luck in the Hoenn region. They left all of their Pokémon behind except for their respectful partners. Togetic will be staying with Kairi's parents.
"Well, we're off," Sora said.
"Sora, when you get to Hoenn, think you can catch a Zigzagoon? Mom's been dying to see one," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"I'll see what I can do about that," Sora said.
"And thanks for leaving Togetic with us, Kairi. He'll make a great playmate for Seth while you're in Hoenn," Yuta said.
"It's not a problem, dad. Togetic, you make sure you do what my parents say, alright?" Kairi asked.
"Togetic," Togetic said.
"Riku and Naminé should be on his way to the airport, so what's taking Professor Birch so long?" Ethan asked.
"Did someone mention my name?" Professor Birch asked as he approached the group. "I hope everybody's ready to go."
"We got everything we need, professor," Sora said.
"Glad to hear it," Professor Birch said. He turned to the families. "I'll make sure they make it to the Hoenn region safely."
"We have confidence in your abilities, Professor Birch," Yuta said.
"Well, it's time to hit the road," Ash said.
"I agree. We're off," Professor Birch said.
They said their goodbyes and set off for the Hoenn region. They headed for Vermillion City and boarded a ship there. Unaware of Xipak and Celeste following them. Their next journey was about to begin.
Meanwhile, Wes and Rui are sitting in their vehicle. They had just received word from DiZ that Roxas and Xion have returned to Sora and Kairi.
"So they went back to where they came from. I guess you were right, Rui," Wes said.
"Naturally. I don't think it's going to be long until the Organization catches wind of this," Rui said.
"You're right about that, too. And they won't take this laying down. And that just makes our mission even more important," Wes said.
"Same plan? From the shadows?" Rui asked.
"Yup. From the shadows. The Organization still thinks we're dead, and we want them to think that until the time's right," Wes said.
Over to Odaiba City, Tai Kari, and their friends start making plans to head for the Hoenn region. Their families came to see them off.
"You kids sure you want to do this?" Yuuko asked.
"We're sure. Ketchum, Kairi, Ash, and those other guys are heading to Hoenn. And we gotta make sure Roxas and Xion stay safe," Tai said.
"They do have a point," Hiroaki said, stroking his chin. "The rest of the Organization will come after them a whole lot more than before."
"I just find it hard to believe that a kid like Roxas would get caught up in that crowd. If you ask me, he made the right call leaving them," Masami said.
"What about Axel? Are you sure you can trust him?" Susumu asked.
"He did promise to keep them safe. So we believe him," TK said.
"So do I. Take of each other while you're there," Nancy said.
"We will, mom," Matt said.
"Well, we better going. We'll keep in touch," Davis said.
With that said, Tai, Kari, and their friends boarded the ship bound for Slateport City. They said their goodbyes to their families. They knew they'll be fine. But they couldn't help but worry.
Now the journey towards the Hoenn has begun. How and when will the Unversed strike? And what sort of adventures Sora and his friends have in the Hoenn region? And what Pokémon could they come across as well? Find out when we continue on.
