Two weeks have passed since Remus and Sirius discovered Harry's whereabouts. It has been two weeks since they started communicating again, although it has been one-sided since only Harry can contact them and not the other way around. It has been two weeks already, and they are still debating whether to tell the Order about the lost Potter or not. After all, they received a warning from his uncle or guardian, and they also knew fully well the indication of Harry's appearance.
It also seems like Nico is very knowledgeable about what's happening in the wizarding community. "We won't mind Harry visiting or communicating with you or anyone who wants to or those with connections with his parents. It is his and your rights after all, but do not misunderstand, that's all there is to it. I don't want you dragging him to your war. As for his well-being and his education, we only have the best for him. You do not have to worry about that." After he said that, not physically but mentally, they could not help but feel a shiver down their spines.
Arrogant but powerful is what they both thought at the same time. Based on the voice alone, although they are confused about Nico's looks and age, they are aware, from his voice, that he is almost in the same age bracket as Harry. They have no idea why he is calling him uncle, but they can feel the pressure of those words. Nico meant his words. After all, he is powerful enough to transmit his message to them mentally. If they overstep their boundaries, they might not be able to see Harry again, and they might also find another enemy in Harry's adopted family.
After weighing everything and deliberating for the past two weeks, they have finally decided to tell them. They just have to be careful and warn them gravely. From what they saw that night when they found Harry, they could immediately tell that they were not from an ordinary wizarding family. They might even be from older families. They have to thread safely around them. But how Harry managed to be part of their family is a discussion for another time. What they intended to do now was only inform the Order and stop all the searches of his whereabouts, but regarding custody, such thoughts were already disregarded. Harry is happy, well-loved, and well protected. That's all that matters now. They can finally rest at night with peace of mind.
Remus and Sirius have organized a meeting, stating the urgency of the subject matter, and any minute now, they will start. They are just waiting for the arrival of Dumbledore.
"It's time." Remus said to Sirius as they both heard a crack, a sign of an apparition, indicating the arrival of Dumbledore. Sirius nodded, following him. Not a moment later, they see Dumbledore settling into one of the vacant seats at the table with most of the Order.
Sirius addressed the Order as he scanned the faces of those present. "Two years ago..." Sirius started before taking a deep breath. He knew that there would be mixed reactions from them. After all, two weeks have already passed, but they are only telling them now. He is just preparing himself, either with a positive or negative response, for what is about to come. "As you know, I have always been waiting on Lily and James' old house, waiting, hoping that one day, little Harry, wherever he is, would come back." As he finished his sentence, a loud gasp escaped from Molly Weasley. "Yes. As you all have guessed, he came back, and we have been in contact with him starting from that day until now."
He said it slowly and did not speak further, waiting for them to digest the information. After a few minutes, he started again. "They, Harry and his new family, are currently living in the States, New York to be exact." Unknowingly, Sirius started describing Harry to them—how he looked that night, his well-being, his family—and everything Harry told them that night, he repeated it in front of the Order. From the way he speaks and how he smiles fondly as he reminisces about his limited interaction with his godson. Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall, and everyone else who was listening to him can see the changes in him. They knew that the Sirius that is speaking to them and that is grinning from time to time has finally healed from his days of being tortured in Azkaban.
As her previous student, Minerva is glad that Sirius managed to hang on until now. That little hope he has, as he was wrongly accused of murder and imprisoned in Azkaban has saved him. She may not be showing it, but she felt like a huge thorn that has been with her has been finally removed. After all, as a professor, all she wanted for her students was to succeed, be happy, and be content in life, and seeing that on Sirius face, she cannot help but smile internally for the recovery of her once troublemaker student. Minerva shifted her view and looked at Remus. The same enthusiasm, a face full of vitality and life, reflected on her students faces. If she could, she would wish to freeze the time or go back in time and prevent her students from joining the war. Alas, she knew she could not do that. She's a Gryffindor, and so are her students.
When Sirius finished, Remus could not help but chuckle silently, for his old friend was finally back. Gone were the days when he was depressed and silently cursing and punishing himself for the things that had happened. "Sirius, Remus, can you invite Harry here? Is there another way to contact him?" Dumbledore asked them.
"No, we do not have any way to contact him. As I told you before, it has always been Harry who would initiate the connection" Sirius responded. "But he did mention that they plan to travel here. If I am not mistaken, they will be here. His father has relatives here." Remus supplemented Sirius' statement, and Dumbledore nodded his head in acknowledgement.
"Everyone, we must be prepared. It will be good if Voldemort will not know about this, but we cannot be so complacent and comprise Harry's safety. Others will surely take notice of his arrival, especially now that we know that Voldemort has also returned, his Death Eaters will be more active in the dark... For sure they are also looking for Harry to finish what Voldemort has started. You must also be vigilant and move with discretion not to alert the Ministry." Dumbledore said and concluded the meeting as everyone nodded their heads in acknowledgement as they disperse one by one out of the headquarters.
As the meeting concluded, so did the people listening outside. George and Fred Weasley hurriedly retracted their extendable ears, one of their latest inventions, and based on the reaction of the people at the other end, one can tell the success of their invention.
"Blimey! I cannot believe it. THE Harry Potter has been found, and we will be the ones to see him!" Ronald Weasley exclaimed as his brothers kept their extendable ears. Hermione, on the other hand, is in deep thought. After all, stories about them have been circulating since she discovered her magic. She read a few articles about him, and now she will be able to see the actual person. She has high expectations of him.
