AN: Enter, plot!
As always, Naruto was excited to see him after a mission.
"Neji!" he grinned. "You're home!"
And as always, that smile made everything much better. Neji opened his arms and Naruto flew into them, nuzzling his hair and giggling.
"How was it?"
"Fine. Everything went to plan."
Naruto eased his grip and leaned back enough to look up at Neji, those big blue eyes sparkling.
"I have something to show you. A surprise…"
Neji never got a chance to catch his breath when he arrived home, but he didn't mind. He loved Naruto's exuberance.
Naruto grabbed his hand and led him to the bathroom of all places.
"I had it installed while you were away. I thought it might be good after missions…"
There in the corner was a large soaking tub. There were two steps up to a deep bath. Neji had never been too keen on the public baths, so this was perfect.
"It looks amazing."
"And the best part," Naruto smiled. "It's big enough for two…"
Neji looked down at his incredible partner, more in love with him every day.
"I think you need to show me how it works."
Naruto grinned and then went to turn the tap on to fill the tub.
While they waited, Neji took his mission-soiled clothes off and quickly brushed his hair out. Naruto stripped his clothes off too, revealing his strong, lean body.
They climbed into the tub, which was sunken into the floor so that it was deep enough for them to stand in with water up to their necks. Neji sighed as the hot water wrapped around him, soothing his aching muscles.
"It's good, huh?" Naruto checked.
"It's wonderful," Neji appreciated.
"I thought you'd like it," Naruto said, folding his arms behind Neji's neck. "You're such a weirdo about the hot springs."
Neji felt himself blushing but thankfully the hot water would disguise it.
"That's because there's only one person who needs to see me undressed."
"Do you know how selfish that is, Neji? You're the prettiest boy in the village."
This time no amount of steam could hide his embarrassment, and Naruto laughed, curling tighter around him.
"I love you so much," he grinned, catching Neji's mouth in a heated kiss.
They spent the next few minutes kissing slowly, letting the warm water soothe them as they said a proper 'hello'.
On one side of the tub there was a step that allowed for sitting. Naruto manoeuvred him back to sit on it, and then moved up to straddle him. His intention was clear, it wasn't how they usually did things though, Naruto didn't really like to receive, and Neji liked to be dominated so it worked for them both.
"But…"
"It's a special occasion…" Naruto breathed against his mouth before kissing him and rolling his hips forward. Neji felt himself engulfed by a tighter heat as Naruto sunk down on him, and it did feel good, to be buried inside him.
Naruto's brow pinched and his lips parted as he worked himself on Neji's penis, showing once again how free he was with his feelings, how unafraid he was to be vulnerable.
"I love you," Neji told him, sure that he could never say it enough to really express just how deep his feelings for Naruto were.
"I love you too," Naruto gasped, leaning in and fastening his arms around Neji, working his hips harder to make their joining deeper, until Neji's mind was completely consumed by how good this thing was. He clung on too, hands slipping over Naruto's glistening skin, Naruto's muscles flexing beneath. He climaxed inside Naruto, satisfied beyond words.
"You're amazing," he breathed into Naruto's mouth.
"I know," Naruto grinned, kissing him again.
When they fell into bed together, Naruto's skin was still damp and he was even warmer than usual.
They made love once more, slowly and tenderly, Naruto inside him this time, and afterwards Neji fell asleep blissfully satisfied.

The following morning, Neji was woken by the press of Naruto's lips on his skin. Neji felt well-rested and utterly content. There was no better feeling than being with Naruto, and now as the soft light of dawn spilled over Naruto's tanned skin and golden hair, his rough hands gently roaming Neji's body, his body heat seeping into Neji's skin, the moment was about as close to perfect as moments got.
Neji hummed his approval and wrapped his arms around Naruto's shoulders, as Naruto rolled over on top of him. Neji looked up into Naruto's warm blue eyes and smiled softly, once again feeling like the luckiest man in the world.
"Kiss me."
Naruto did so, tending Neji's mouth with firm caresses of his lips and long, slow strokes of his tongue.
Neji let his hands roam down Naruto's back, over his buttocks, squeezing the swell of flesh. Against his groin, he could feel that Naruto was aroused, and Neji was still relaxed enough from the previous night not to need any foreplay.
He opened his legs and pressed his heel into the back of Naruto's knee, wordlessly asking for Naruto to make love to him.
Naruto understood, slipping inside him, joining them again, taking his time, letting them feel the connection, rather than chasing completion.
Afterwards, they lay together, having nowhere they needed to be except in each other's arms.
Naruto's calloused fingertips gently traced the skin around Neji's eyes.
"Neji?"
"Hmm?"
"Your byakugan, it's a kekkei genkai..."
"It is," Neji agreed with the well-known fact, unsure where Naruto was going with the train of thought.
"And yours is stronger than any other member of your clan."
"That's right. Why the sudden interest, Naruto?" Neji asked curiously.
Naruto chewed his lip and gave Neji a worried look.
"I guess, I was just thinking maybe it's your duty to pass it on."
"Oh." Naruto might be right, but when he'd committed to this relationship he'd accepted there would be sacrifices. Yet every moment with him makes them all worthwhile.
Naruto let a wistful little smile curl his lips.
"And me, I'd like a kid of my own too."
Well, that does make things different. I can't give him that.
Neji suddenly had a bad feeling that Naruto had been spending the night and the morning bidding him goodbye.
"You're saying this is the end for us."
"No," Naruto shook his head. "No way. It's something I want to do with and for you."
It was Neji's turn to offer a little smile.
"Darling, as wonderful as that thought is, I'm afraid it's not possible."
"Actually, that's not exactly true. I've been working on something, and if you want a baby with me, I think together we could do it."
That sounds too good to be true.
"How?"
"Tell me first, is having a kid with me something you'd want?"
"Of course, Naruto. I love you very much. And having a family with you? I can't think of anything better."
"Okay, good," Naruto sighed with relief.
"I still don't see how though..."
"Well," Naruto said, cheeks blushing an adorable shade of pink. "You know my sexy jutsu? It's not just an illusion, it's an actual transformation, inside and out."
Neji knew the jutsu, Naruto transformed into a beautiful female version of himself, mainly to render an opponent incapable of fighting before the fight even began. It was formidable in its own way.
"You're saying you'd be a woman. Capable of getting pregnant and carrying a child. Naruto, you'd have to keep it up for nine months! The amount of chakra that would require is extraordinary. I don't even know if it would be possible to produce an amount like that."
"I know it would be hard, but it'd be worth it, Neji. To have our baby, yours and mine. But I can't do it without you, I'd need you to share some of your chakra with me, to keep it at a high enough level to maintain the jutsu. Would you be willing to do that?"
That was a big ask, but this was a big deal, and a wonderful, life-changing thing would come out of it.
"Yes," he answered, cupping Naruto's cheek. "For you and our child, that's only the beginning of what I would do."
Naruto gave him a beautiful smile, and Neji leaned in to kiss his amazing partner.
"Then you better get ready to say goodbye to this body, because once we start trying, I can't break the jutsu."
