Episode 229: Sharpedo Attack!
Several hours have passed since they departed Rustboro City and began their voyage for Dewford Island. The day was bright and sunny and the clean ocean's breeze filled the air. Sora inhaled the breeze through his nostrils.
"Aah! Take in that sea air," Sora said.
"It feels so nice. And the ocean is so very beautiful today," Kairi said.
"The sea is in a good mood today. And so am I," Mr. Briney said.
"Just how much longer until we reach Dewford Island, Mr. Briney?" Sora asked.
"Not long. If we keep up this pace, we can get there by tonight," Mr. Briney said.
"Great," Sora said. He then gets an idea. He turned to Kairi. "Hey, Kairi. How about we let our Pokémon out and let them enjoy the cruise with us?" Kairi smiled at the idea.
"Okay, let's do that," Kairi said, taking out her own Pokéballs. Taillow, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Poochyena, Zigzagoon, Slakoth, Seedot, Cascoon, Whismur, Carvanha, Plusle, Minun, Budew, Swablu, Silcoon, Feebas, and Skitty all came out to join in on the fun. "It was a wonderful idea, Sora."
"Figured you would like it, Kairi," Sora said.
"We can relax and have some fun before we get there," Kairi said. "And as soon as we get there, I was wondering if you and I could have some fun the beach with me?" Sora smiled.
"Okay. We'll have plenty of time before I challenge the Gym Leader there," Sora said. "But I do wonder what type the next Gym Leader specializes in."
"You did just win the Stone Badge from Roxanne, so I think you should train for it, just to play it safe; you do need to be prepared. But I think we should have ourselves a swim out here before we get there," Kairi suggested.
"If you kids are in a mood for a swim, then I know just the place," Mr. Briney said.
"That's great!" Kairi said, getting all giddy.
"I guess we could cool off. Also, you're right. I do need to be prepared for it. But we'll get to it after we had our swim," Sora said.
"Sounds like it's been decided then. Preparing to change course. On to port!" Mr. Briney said as the ship has changed its course.
Meanwhile, Xipak and Celeste started to follow them by their own boat.
"Are you sure this is the way they're going, Xipak?" - Celeste subtitle.
"I'm sure, Celeste. I can sense Roxas the same way you can sense Xion. It might take us some days to get there, so we want to be there in case Organization XIII launched their attack." - Xipak subtitle.
"Yeah, you're right, Xipak. I'm also concerned about Axel. We haven't seen him ever since Roxas and Xion returned to Sora and Kairi." - Celeste subtitle.
"He's closer than you think. I know he's watching over Roxas from the shadows." - Xipak subtitle.
"Let's keep going." - Celeste subtitle.
After a little while, an island has been sighted. "Land ho! It's coming into view!" The ship heads for the island, but unknown to them, a figure of a shark-like creature is seen swimming underneath and turns around.
"Look at that," Sora said. "So, what's the name of this island?"
"Actually, this island has no name. You won't be able to find it on any map. I found this place many years ago when I was just a young sailor, purely by accident. And what a happy accident it was, since I figured I would use it to get away from my troubles. But whenever I'm out on sea, I completely forget about this place," Mr. Briney said.
"A good place to be in, since you wouldn't want anyone to come here and build a resort on it," Sora said.
Kairi came out wearing a one piece swimsuit with red and yellow polka dots.
"That's a great swimsuit, Kairi. Got that from Rustboro City?" Sora asked.
"Sure did. How about you get changed in your trunks and jump in when you're ready," Kairi said.
"Okay. I'm going," Sora said as he went to change. Once Sora got done, he jumped in the water with Mudkip joining in. "In a mood for a swim too, huh?"
"Mudkip, Mud, Mud!" Mudkip said.
The couple splashes each other as they started laughing.
"Take that, Sora!" Kairi playfully said. She splashes into Sora as he splashes her back. They enjoy playing in the water until Kairi sees something coming up behind him. It is a torpedo-shaped shark Pokémon covered with tiny, sharp denticles. It has a large mouth filled with triangular, sharp teeth. Its eyes are a deep red color and glow in the dark. It has two gill slits situated directly behind each eye. It is mostly dark blue with a white underbelly. There is a yellow star-shaped marking on its snout, and another star marking on its rear. It has a tall dorsal fin with two notches cut into it, with a pelvic fin directly opposite it. Its two pectoral fins are arranged so that they resemble the fins on the back of a torpedo. "S-S-Sora. There's something b-b-b-behind you." Sora was about to turn around to see what she was talking about when he several more of the very same kind of Pokémon emerging from behind her.
"There's something right behind you too," Sora said. Sora and Kairi looked around and saw they were quickly surrounded.
"WHAT IS GOING ON?!" Sora and Kairi both exclaimed, getting the attention of Mr. Briney, Peeko, Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon. He gasped in horror. "Sharpedo! Where did they come from?!"
"Help us, quick!" Sora and Kairi called out.
"Don't worry, you two! Help is on the way!" Mr. Briney assured the couple.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said. Mr. Briney turned to Peeko.
"Peeko! Help them!" Mr. Briney called out. Peeko flew to rescue Sora and Kairi. "Hurry! Grab hold of Peeko's legs!"
Sora and Kairi quickly grabbed on to Peeko's legs and she lifted them up and flapped her wings as fast as she could just as the Sharpedo were jumping out of the water.
"Whoa!" Sora yelped.
"Sora!" Kairi shouted.
"Hang on, Kairi!" Sora said. Another Sharpedo jumped out only for Mudkip to shoot Water Gun at it. Just then, the biggest Sharpedo rams into Mudkip and he got a scrape on his right backside. The largest Sharpedo has an X shaped scar on its dorsal fin. "Mudkip!" Another Sharpedo scrapes against Sora's legs and he yelps in pain.
"Careful! Sharpedo has an ability called Rough Skin!" Mr. Briney warned.
"No wonder it's called Rough Skin," Sora said. "I mean ouch." Sora gritted his teeth. Peeko gets the couple back to the ship. Mudkip wasn't going to take that abuse laying down, so he fired Mud-Slap and it had struck one of the Sharpedo. A few more Sharpedo came and it rammed into Mudkip again and again. Carvanha came at the Sharpedo, but they quickly beaten him by ramming into the Savage Pokémon. "Mudkip, Carvanha, come back!" Sora calls back both of his Water-type Pokémon. "Just what was that about?"
"I am not sure, Sora. But I can assure you that they were not here the last time I was here," Mr. Briney said. Kairi took out her Rotom Phone and scanned the shark-like Pokémon.
Sharpedo, the Brutal Pokémon
The evolved form of Carvanha
Type: Water/Dark
Nicknamed "the bully of the sea," Sharpedo is widely feared. Its cruel fangs grow back immediately if they snap off. Just one of these Pokémon can thoroughly tear apart a supertanker.
"Brutal Pokémon is right, but we've been through worse than this," Sora said as Kairi puts her Rotom Phone away. He spots the biggest one and it gives them the orders to attack. The Sharpedo attacks the ship. "Hey! Cut it out, Sharpedo!" The Sharpedo kept attacking. He turned to Pikachu. "Okay, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to shock the Sharpedo.
"Since the Sharpedo are here, we should get going!" Mr. Briney said as the Sharpedo kept striking the ship. Sora turned to Kairi.
"Kairi, I'm going to need a hand since there's a lot of them," Sora said.
"Right," Kairi said. She turned to Plusle and Minun. "Okay, Plusle and Minun, use Discharge on the Sharpedo!"
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt on them!" Sora ordered.
"Pika-CHU!" Pikachu shouted.
The three electric rodent Pokémon fired their electric attacks and they managed to to get away, but right on the island since there far too many of them and they could sink the ship with them on it, if they try to get away from the island. The ship has beached itself on the shore.
"That was close," Kairi said.
"It sure was," Sora said.
"Gotta hand it to you, kids, that was quick thinking taking advantage of their weakness to electricity like that," Mr. Briney said. "But I don't think they're going to let us pass anytime soon." They saw the Sharpedo swimming and snarling. Sora and Kairi knew he was right since those Sharpedo were just brutal.
"Don't know what their beef is with us, but it looks like you're right," Sora said. "There's too many to fight and they'll overpower our other Pokémon just as fast as they did Mudkip and Carvanha."
That night, The humans and Pokémon ate their meal to their delights.
"This is fantastic. This tastes just like something out of the restaurants I had eaten since my days out in sea," Mr. Briney said.
"When it comes to cooking, Kairi's number one," Sora said, making Kairi blush.
"Oh, I'm not that great, Sora," Kairi said.
"Well, I say you are," Sora said as he spotted Feebas chowing down. "And it looks like Feebas agrees with me." Kairi smiles.
"I must know, Kairi. How did you learn to cook like this?" Mr. Briney asked.
"My parents taught me when I was little. They taught me so much recipes to cook," Kairi said.
"I see," Mr. Briney said.
"Gotta hand it to this fruit; one of the sweetest I have eaten," Sora said, eating the piece of fruit.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu beamed.
"I never would have thought camping out on a deserted island would be loads of fun," Sora said.
"It would have loads of fun if it weren't for them," Mr. Briney said, referring to the Sharpedo. Their dorsal fins were seen in the water. There weren't as many as before, but it looked like enough to keep them in check.
"It doesn't look like there's many as before," Kairi said.
"True. The ones left behind are acting as lookouts," Mr. Briney said. "The others are probably resting somewhere not too far from here."
"Man, those Carvanha are organized," Sora said.
"They are. But there was something unusual about how those Sharpedo were behaving," Kairi said.
"Like what?" Sora asked.
"Sharpedo are normally independent Pokémon, so they shouldn't have been able to form a school like this," Kairi said.
"Yes, I thought that was strange as well. And judging from what we saw this afternoon, it almost feels like the Sharpedo are working together to trap us!" Mr. Briney said.
"In other words, if we try to get off, they'll warn the others," Sora said.
"And they'll do the same as they did before," Kairi said.
"Well, we gotta do something about those Sharpedo," Sora said.
"How, Sora? All of our Pokémon working together won't be a match against all of those Sharpedo," Kairi pointed out.
"I was thinking we just deal with one of them," Sora said.
"Just one?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. I noticed there was one that was way bigger than the others. I'm going to guess that Sharpedo is the one calling the shots. So if we cut that one Sharpedo out from the others, we trap the head honcho and battle against it," Sora said.
"I get it! When they see that we've beaten their leader, then the rest of the school will be taking orders from us, like letting us pass," Kairi said.
"That's a good theory, Sora, and I believe it's got to be worth us giving it a shot," Mr. Briney said.
"We just gotta distract the others, give them something to chase," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said. The couple and the sailor turned to Pikachu and Angel.
"Wait, are you saying, you'll volunteer?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu nodded.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"Okay, if you think you can do it," Sora said.
"But who's going to be battling the Sharpedo leader?" Kairi asked.
"Vanha!" Carvanha said. Sora turned to Carvanha and saw how determined he was.
"You want to battle against that Carvanha?" Sora asked.
"Vanha!" Carvanha said.
"I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you'll be up against your evolved form, and you don't stand a chance against at least just one of them," Sora said. Carvanha didn't care of he was no match for one Sharpedo, he still wanted to prove himself.
"I don't think he's going to change his mind, Sora," Kairi said.
Over to Xipak and Celeste, they kept sailing in their little boat. Xipak looks ahead of them and spotted the island.
"They gotta be on that island." - Xipak subtitle.
"Now to head on over." - Celeste subtitle. Just then, the Sharpedo leader come out of the water and rams into Xipak and Celeste's boat.
"What do you're doing?!" - Xipak subtitle.
"These waters belongs to us Sharpedo, and no human or any other Pokémon is ever allowed here!" - Sharpedo leader subtitle.
"We don't want any trouble, so we're just passing by." - Xipak subtitle.
"You're in the wrong place if you're not looking for trouble." - Sharpedo leader subtitle. The rest of the Sharpedo came out of the water and attacked, but Xipak and Celeste fought back with Thunderbolt and Swift.
"There's too many of them! We can't beat them all!" - Celeste subtitle.
"You got that right, little Eevee! You can take one of us down, but more will keep on coming!" - Sharpedo leader subtitle. Xipak and Celeste kept on attacking and attacking. A handful of the Sharpedo came at them with an Aqua Jet. They both go flying and they hit the water. The Sharpedo that attacked them comes at them, but they're saved by a Wailmer. The Ball Whale Pokémon spewed Water Gun, hitting them.
"Hold on!" - Wailmer subtitle. Wailmer swims Xipak and Celeste to safety. The Sharpedo were about to give chase, but their leader called out to them.
"Let them go! The ones on the island aren't so lucky! They're trapped as long as our lookouts are stationed there." - Sharpedo leader subtitle. The other Sharpedo agreed with their leader and obeyed.
A little further away, Wailmer swam far enough from the Sharpedo.
"You two okay?" - Wailmer subtitle.
"Yes, thanks to you." - Celeste subtitle.
"Yeah, thanks for the save back there. I thought we were going to be goners until you came around." - Xipak subtitle.
"Don't mention it. I'm not afraid of those Sharpedo. Those Pokémon might act tough, but what they really are is a bunch of cowardly minnows always picking fights with everything that comes their way. You two are lucky that I was around. Anyway, what brings you here in the middle of the sea?" - Wailmer subtitle.
"We were actually following a couple of humans heading for Dewford Island." - Xipak subtitle.
"Oh, are they friends of yours?" - Wailmer subtitle.
"They are in some way. But I think we didn't explain too much, because you might not get it. We're having a hard time understanding it ourselves." - Celeste subtitle.
"I can understand that. I can take you to Dewford if you wanna meet up with them and surprise. I think I can get there by morning." - Wailmer subtitle.
"Thank you for the kind offer." - Celeste subtitle.
"Think nothing of it. Just enjoy the ride." - Wailmer subtitle. Wailmer starts swimming towards Dewford Island. On the very next morning, Wailmer has arrived to Dewford Island at last. "And here we are. Dewford Island." - Wailmer subtitle. Xipak and Celeste slide off of Wailmer.
"Thanks for the lift, Wailmer." - Xipak said.
"You're welcome. Just give a holler if you need another flipper, okay?" - Wailmer subtitle.
"You got it!" - Xipak subtitle. Wailmer swam back to the sea. Xipak and Celeste had to wait for Sora and Kairi to make it.
Back on the island, Sora and Kairi have changed into the swimsuits they wore when they visited the lake inhabited by Lotad as Mr. Briney wore a gray jersey and orange shorts. All of the Sharpedo were all in place. Sora had Mudkip by his side, and Carvanha in the water, waiting for the word.
"Looks like everything is all in place," Sora said. He looked over to Pikachu who is on the other side. "Hey Pikachu, Angel! How is everything on your end?!"
"Pika!" Pikachu responded, giving a thumbs up.
"Eevee!" Anegel nodded.
"Great! Now let's get to it!" Sora said. Taillow and Peeko pulled Silcoon and Cascoon's strings as the Sharpedo were looking at them. Pikachu, Angel, Plusle, Minun, did an eyelid taunt while Torchic just blew a raspberry at them while Treecko shook his rump at them, like he was mooning them. That aggravated the Sharpedo. The leader gave the order to attack and they all swam after them, while the leader stayed behind.
"It worked!" Kairi said.
"Now pull!" Mr. Briney said. Sora, Kairi, and Mr. Briney pulled on the rope and the large Sharpedo saw what was happening and tried to break through the fence. Sharpedo's forceful assault caused Kairi to fall in the water.
"Kairi!" Sora gasped.
"No!" Mr. Briney also gasped.
Kairi could only watch helplessly as the Sharpedo leader came at her, but Carvanha jumped and tackled into the Sharpedo leader, taking damage from Sharpedo's Rough Skin.
"Kairi! Grab the rope!" Sora called out to her. She does so as Sora and Mr. Briney pulled the rope and Kairi with it. Sora took her in his arms. "You had me scared for you, Kairi."
"Sorry, Sora," Kairi apologized.
"What matters is you're safe," Sora said. Mr. Briney smiled at the sight. Sora now knew what he had to do now. Pikachu, Angel, and the other Pokémon have all come back in time after giving the other Sharpedo the slip. Pikachu and the other Pokémon went up to their Trainers. "Good job, guys." Sora calls them all back in their Pokéballs. "Okay, Sharpedo! A one-on-one match! You against Carvanha! You better be ready, because I'm not gonna back down! Carvanha! Use Rage!" Carvanha charges at Sharpedo like a torpedo, but Sharpedo dove underwater to avoid it. Carvanha dove down. "Use Bute!" Carvanha dashes towards Sharpedo and bit it, and taking damage from Rough Skin in the process. "Use Rage!" Carvanha charges at Sharpedo again, and lands another hit. Both Pokémon kept on brawling and brawling. Sharpedo was bigger and stronger, but that didn't stop Carvanha one bit. Carvanha gave Sharpedo one more hit with Rage, so it was enough to knock out the Sharpedo leader. Carvanha panted, exhausted from the intense battle against the Brutal Pokémon. Sora called Carvanha back inside to rest up. "You did a good job, Carvanha. You battled enough. You earned a good rest." He looked at the Sharpedo leader who is now roughed up from the battle.
"I think we just proved our point," Kairi said.
Suddenly, without any warning, many Unversed have appeared. They all come in several different colors defining which element they are weak to, but they all share the same structure. They are small Unversed with round heads with several short spikes. Above each one of their heads is a large, rounded cap with a short spike on its tip. They all have the same black, heart-shaped face with red eyes set in an angry expression. Their caps all share silver highlights and an Unversed symbol on its front. The four different color variations of these Unversed include a light brown head with a blue cap, a pink head with a cyan cap, a cyan body with a yellow-green cap, and a light orange body with an orange cap. These Unversed are Jellyshades.
"What are these?!" Mr. Briney exclaimed in shock.
"Unversed!" Sora and Kairi gasped, summoning their Keyblades.
Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel went off to fight the Unversed. Not only Unversed have appeared, but Heartless and Nobodies, too.
The Heartless consisted of Shadows, Pirates, Air Pirates, Emerald Seahorses, Uni-Walruses, Screwdivers, Aquatanks, Sea Neons, and some new Heartless.
Another is large galleon-like Heartless that fly in the air via propeller. What looks to be a Heartless captain on it is actually its head and top half of its body. One of the most complicated Heartless, it seem to be composed of two main parts. At the wheel of the ship is a Heartless captain, blue in color and wearing an eyepatch, black pirate hat with a skull on the headband, white gloves, and a blue admiral's jacket with red and gold trim. The ship itself is a bit more ornate; while made of what appears to be ordinary wood, it is decorated in bright pink and purple and features a prow covered in horns, a skull figurehead, and a cannon with a sharp spike as ammo at the very front. On the left hand side, just behind the prow, is the ship's spiky anchor. Two smaller cannons sit on either side of the ship further back. Although the ship appears to be powered by wind, as seen from the black sails, giant propeller on the mast, and two smaller propellers on the stern, the ship also has two grey oars jutting from the sides. This Heartless is known as the Battleship.
Another resembles a flying bug-like creature. Its body is largely round and metallic, and it has several metallic cones on the sides of its face and one as its proboscis. It has several spots of rust along its body, with one on its back and one on its face, with its wings also being rusty in texture. It also has two antennae, a pair of hook-like feet, and an anchor-like tail. This Heartless is known as the Vaporfly.
Another is an aquatic Heartless. Its body is composed of many student shades of blue, while the fins on its head and tail are purple; its eyes are yellow, surrounded by black with a large white jaw below. It has four webbed fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. It has silver bands on its wrists and around its waist. It also appears to be wearing dark shorts. Finally, it carries a spear that looks like fish skeleton with a question mark at the end; the mouth of which periodically opens in a chattering motion. This Heartless is known as the Spear Lizard.
Another is a Heartless that has a smooth, conical body that is predominantly blue with a thick, horizontal, sky blue stripe along its midsection. It also has a Heartless emblem emblazoned on its chest. The top of its body flares outward and forms a jagged "collar" below the Heartless's spherical, pitch black head. It also wears a conical, sky blue hat that has a blue-white, jagged brim and a thin, curled tip. Like many Heartless, it has glowing yellow eyes. Its seemingly useless feet sport three small, thin toes. This Heartless is known as the Turquoise March.
Another seems to take inspiration from Captain Hook, due to the red captain's jacket and sharp metal object replacing a hand. Its anchor hand literally pierces a hole in reality, allowing it to hang down from anywhere. Its jacket has grey feathers around the collar with gold and black pads on the shoulders with additional feathers. The Heartless wears a blue shirt and a white caveat. With a face similar to a white skull, this Heartless tops its outfit with a bicorn hat with the emblem on it. Its one available blue hand carries a large red sword. This Heartless is known as the Anchor Raider.
The Nobodies consisted of Dusks, Creepers, Vikings, Bards, Fighters, Archers, Bards, Knights, Scholars, and Gamblers.
"Great! Heartless and Nobodies, too?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Sora, we have to take them down!" Kairi said.
"Right!" Sora agreed. A squad of Shadows jumped to attack the Sharpedo leader, but Sora slashed at the Shadows, destroying them. The Sharpedo leader was amazed by how Sora just saved it. "You leave Sharpedo alone, Heartless! Same to you, Nobodies and Unversed!"
The Archers fired some arrows at Sora, but he reflects the arrows with his Keyblade. Kairi casts her blizzard spell, hitting the Sea Neons as the Screwdivers rushes at Kairi, but Angel came and fired Swift at them, destroying them. The Battleship charges at them and then fired its cannons at the couple. The Air Pirates attempts to punch them as the Pirates swings their swords at them. Pikachu fired a Thunderbolt, destroying the Pirates. The Jellyshades came at the couple, so Sora and Kairi slashed at the mushroom-like Unversed. The Bards played their harps, sending out music notes to attack them. The Uni-Walruses charges at them with their horns as the Vikings and the Knights came charging with their weapons. Sora and Kairi blocked their weapons and struck them down as the Turquoise Marches came charging at them while surrounded by water. Pikachu hurls an Electro Ball, hitting some of the Turquoise Marches. The Spear Lizards jumps forward and swings their spears downwards as the Anchor Raiders came at them with their sabers pointing forward. Kairi casts a thunder spell, hitting some of the Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed. Some of them ends up being destroyed.
The Dusks came at the couple, but the Sharpedo leader came and grabbed one of the Dusks in its jaws, destroying it. The rest of the Sharpedo came at the Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed, taking any that they came across into the water and destroyed them. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel struck down the last of the Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed while the Sharpedo were helping out until they were all destroyed.
"That takes care of them," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The Sharpedo all started to nuzzle the couple, much to their surprise.
"Huh? Their skins don't feel like sandpaper," Sora said.
"Because you two were protecting them from those monsters. And did you know there are certain Pokémon traits that will stop working on people once the Pokémon have grown to like them?" Mr. Briney asked.
"He's right. And they did help us take them down," Kairi said.
"Just what were those creatures? And I have never seen anything like them before," Mr. Briney said.
"The ones with the yellow eyes were the Heartless while those white things were Nobodies, and the floating things were the Unversed. The Heartless comes from the darkness in the hearts of people. When a person gives in to the darkness in their heart, then they turn into a Heartless. The Nobodies came from a person with a strong heart who was turned into a Heartless. And the Unversed were born from negative emotions. We use our Keyblades to fight them off. And there are these guys called Organization XIII who are controlling the Nobodies while there's a kid in a mask controlling the Unversed," Sora said.
"Organization XIII is a whole lot worse than Team Aqua, and Team Magma put together," Kairi said.
"I have heard many tales during my younger days as a sailor, but never anything like this," Mr. Briney said.
"Wingull," Peeko said.
The S.S. Wingull has sailed from the island and begun its course towards Dewford Island. They had finally arrived to Dewford Island as the sun has began to set.
"And here we are, kids. This is Dewford Town on Dewford Island," Mr. Briney said.
"Thank you very much for getting us here, Mr. Briney," Sora said.
"You saved my Peeko from that Team Aqua member, so it's the least I can do to repay you. I'm going to be heading for Slateport City to prepare for my next cruise. I hope to see you both someday," Mr. Briney said.
"The same with us, Mr. Briney," Kairi said.
"Pi, Pikachu," Pikachu said.

"I wish you the best in your Gym battle, Sora. And for the rest of your journey. And keep your eyes opened for any of those monsters," Mr. Briney said.
"We will," Sora said.
With that said, Mr. Briney and Peeko have set off for Slateport City as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel have headed for the Pokémon Center to rest up for the night. A goodnight's rest would be best for the couple and their Pokémon since they had just arrived. Carvanha especially needed some rest after that battle with Sharpedo and after dealing with the Heartless, Nobodies, and the Unversed. Now that they had arrived on Dewford Island, how will Sora's battle with the local Gym Leader go? More to come soon enough.
