Episode 241: May's Keyblade
Where we last left off, Kairi has won her very first Contest Ribbon and she has taken her first step as a Pokémon Coordinator.
"That was awesome, Kairi! Ethan and Kris would bust their buttons when they hear about it!" Lyra said.
"I have a feeling they already did that because it was being broadcasted worldwide," Kairi said.
"Yeah, and there's also Ash and Leaf," Naminé said.
"Azurill, Azurill," Azurill said. Kairi hears her Rotom Phone go off and she saw she got text messages from Kris.
Kairi, Ethan and I just watched you on TV, and I just wanted to say, were awestruck by what you did! I hope we get to see you soon, because I've been dying to go arrange a double date with you and Sora. Anyway, congrats on your first win as a Coordinator, Kairi!
Sora looked at Kairi's Rotom Phone and he chuckled.
"I guess you totally called it, Lyra," Sora said.
"So now what, Sora?" Max asked.
"Well, we'll have to set off for Mauville City next since the Gym's there," Sora said.
"That's right. I'm gonna have to do some training for it though," Brendan said.
"That should go to you, too, Sora. But it'll be a good idea to rest for the night before that. And that especially goes to you, Kairi, since you had an exciting day," Rei suggested.
"You're right, Master. We'll need it for sure," Kairi said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Marill, and Ali have started to head to the Pokémon Center to rest. As they arrived, they spotted Drew taking off.
"Drew," May said. Drew saw the group coming right up to him.
"What do you want, a rematch?" Drew asked.
"Just wanted to tell you that the next time we meet, it's going to be different between us," May said. Drew just grinned.
"We'll see about that, May. See ya," Drew said, taking off.
Later that night, off the beach of Slateport City, several Team Aqua grunts submerged from the ocean. They were all wearing rubber suits with the Team Aqua logo on them.
"Now, we move in," one of the female grunts said. The rest of the grunts agreed with her and make their move. It turns out that they've spent weeks planning their objective.
On the next morning, Lyra and Marill have left Slateport City and head off throughout the Hoenn region just in case Vanitas has decided to make another move on them. There was just one more thing that they didn't expect.
"You're tagging along with us, Lisia? You sure you wanna do that?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I wanna get to know you better. I would like to know what you would do in your spare time when you're not battling other Trainers or fighting evil monsters," Lisia said.
"I'm okay with it, Sora. We can never have too many girls in the group," Kairi said.
"I'm with her in this one," May said.
"There's no point in arguing it since an argument is something I'm not going to win anyway. So why not? She can hang with us if she wants to," Sora said.
"Yay!" Lisia cheered.
"Before we start going anywhere, we should pick up some supplies," Kairi suggested.
"I agree. It's going to be quite a journey towards Mauville City," Rei said.
"But we should go check out the Oceanic Museum before we go, too," Max said.
"I guess we can do that," Sora said.
"Sora, you're not trying to get out of with the shopping, are you?" Rei asked in a stern tone.
"No, no, no! I swear I'm not! I would like to help out, but-" Sora stammered as Rei laughed.
"Gotcha," Rei said, laughing. "I couldn't help it, Sora. Your dad used to do the same thing to me when I was your age. In fact, that's the exact same face I would make whenever he did." Rei laughed some more. Kairi, Naminé, Brendan, May, Max, and Lisia also laughed as Sora just puffed his cheeks.
"I think she was trying to get back at you, dad," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Okay, I'll help the girls with the shopping while you boys head for the museum," Riku said.
"Okay, Max and I will check out the museum and meet up there," Sora said.
"I think I should tag along. I think I'd like to see it, too," Brendan said.
"Sure, the more the merrier," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Brendan, Max, and Pikachu have set off for the Slateport City Museum as Riku and the girls have gone off shopping for supplies, and some new clothes in May's case.
Sora, Brendan, Max, and Pikachu were heading to the Oceanic Museum when Pikachu spotted something on the beach.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"What's up, Pikachu? What do you see?" Sora asked. Pikachu heads over to the beach and he saw a light blue egg with white spots on the shell and a beige bottom. "A Pokémon egg."
"You think someone just left that here?" Max asked.
"Maybe, or there could be a nest somewhere around the beach, I mean, there are wild Pokémon that live on the beach anyway," Sora said.
"He's right, Max. Since your Pikachu found it, it's only fair that the Pokémon inside will be yours," Brendan said.
"I guess you're right," Sora said. He puts the egg in his backpack just to keep it safe. Sora took out his Pokemon Box and he sends his Dustox over to Professor Oak's lab.
Over to the museum, it is run by a tall middle-aged man, who has short, brown hair. He wears a gray suit, with two pockets on his jacket and two black stripes with buttons on the end of his sleeves, a teal collared undershirt and black shoes. He has received a briefcase.
"Good of you to bring this to me," the man said.
"Mr. Stone is pleased to help you with your research, Captain Stern," the delivery man said.
"And I appreciate it," Captain Stern said. Just then, several Team Aqua grunts busted through the doorway. "Who are you?"
"We're here for the machine parts you received from the Devon Corporation," one of the Team Aqua grunts said.
"What?! Why would you want that?" Captain Stern asked.
"That is no concern for you, Captain Stern," another Team Aqua grunt said.
"Just make it easy for yourself and hand them over," the first Team Aqua grunt said.
"I don't think so," Captain Stern stated.
Over to Sora, Brendan, Max, and Pikachu, they have arrived to the Oceanic Museum when they spotted a couple of Team Aqua grunts outside, gaurding the entrance. And they both had Crawdaunt out with them.
"You see what I see?" Sora asked.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Team Aqua," Brendan said.
"What are they doing here?" Max asked.
"Up to no good it looks like," Sora said.
"We'll have to put a stop to them," Brendan said.
"You're right. Those guys don't mess around," Sora said. He quickly took out his Rotom Phone and he texts to Kairi, telling her that they see Team Aqua and they'll need them to come over at once. "There."
Over to the mall, Kairi was getting some shopping done when she heard her Rotom Phone go off.
"It's from Sora," Kairi lovingly said.
"Sounds like he misses you already," Lisia said. Kairi looked at her phone and she read the message.
Kairi, Brendan, Max, and I got to the museum, but there's a problem. We see a couple of goons from Team Aqua and they're standing guard with two Crawdaunt. We need you to drop your shopping and head over as fast as you can.
"Oh no!" Kairi gasped.
"What's wrong, Kairi?" May asked.
"It's Team Aqua! They're here! Sora, Max, and Brendan spotted them at the museum!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Team Aqua?!" May exclaimed.
"Great, this is great. This we don't need," Riku deadpanned.
"Eevee," Eevee agreed.
"You go and deal with them. I'll get the supplies you need," Rei said.
"Okay," Kairi said. With that said, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, May, Lisia Angel, Eevee, and Azurill ran off to help Sora.
Speaking of which, we come back to the museum as Sora received a message from Riku.
Sora, we're on our way, but it might be a while until we get there. Don't wait for us.
Sora puts his Rotom Phone in his pocket.
"Riku messaged me and they're on their way," Sora said.
"What did he say?" Max asked.
"He told us not to wait for them, so we'll have to move in," Sora said.
"Good, because I'm wasn't going to wait up on them anyway," Brendan said, taking out a Pokéball. Sora took out a Pokéball as well.
"Neither was I. Let's go," Sora said. He threw his Pokéball up in the air and his Electrike emerged from inside. Brendan threw his Pokéball up in the air and his Treecko came right out. "Okay, Brendan, go!"
"Right. You ready, Treecko?" Brendan asked.
"Treecko," Treecko nodded.
"Okay, Treecko! Use Bullet Seed!" Brendan ordered. Treecko jumped into the air and fired Bullet Seed, surprising the grunts and their Crawdaunt.
"Okay, Electrike! Use Spark!" Sora ordered. Electrike ran towards one of the Crawdaunt and lands a hit.
"Use Crabhammer!" One of the grunts ordered. The Crawdaunt moved in to land a Crabhammer on them.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt and shocked the grunts and their Crawdaunt. Trainers and Pokémon fell to the ground, beaten as Sora, Brendan, Max, and Pikachu entered inside the Oceanic Museum. Once inside, they spotted more Team Aqua grunts and Captain Stern. "Hey!" The grunts turned and saw the boys.
"Who let you kids in here?" One of the female grunts asked.
"I don't know what you're here for, but you're not getting away with it!" Sora said.
"No one is getting our way!" The female grunt said, taking out a Dive Ball and threw it. "Spheal! Go!" Her Pokéball opened to reveal a chubby, spherical, seal-like Pokémon with a short, flat tail. Its plushy fur is light blue with several white spots of various sizes on its back. It has black, circular eyes; small tusks protruding from its upper jaw; and small, rounded ears. Its stubby flippers and its underside are both beige.
"A Spheal!" Max said as Sora took out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Spheal, the Clap Pokémon
Type: Ice/ Water
It is completely covered with plushy fur. As a result, it never feels the cold even when it is rolling about on ice floes or diving in the sea.
"Something is telling me not to let its cute appearance fool me, because it might be stronger than it looks," Sora said.
Spheal! Use Rollout!" The female grunt ordered. Spheal curls up into a ball and rolls right at the boys.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu dodges Spheal's Rollout. Spheal keeps on rolling towards the Mouse Pokémon, so Pikachu dodges again. Spheal plows into one of the exhibits of Pokémon fossils instead of Pikachu. Spheal came right back at the Mouse Pokémon.
"Treecko! Use Bullet Seed!" Brendan ordered. Treecko fired Bullet Seed at Spheal, landing a few hits.
"Thanks, Brendan," Sora said.
"Anytime, Sora," Brendan said.
"We're not gonna take that laying down!" A male grunt said, taking out a Dive Ball and threw it. "Go! Tentacruel!" His Dive Ball opened to let out a Tentacruel. "Okay, Tentacruel! Use your Toxic on them!" Tentacruel spits out a stream of purple liquid from its mouth at Pikachu and Treecko.
"Dodge it!" Sora and Brendan called out. It came too quick for them, so both Pokémon ends up being badly poisoned by the move. "Pikachu!"
"Treecko!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Now, use Hex!" The male grunt ordered. Dark purple wisps of energy appear around Tentacruel, and Pikachu and Treecko became surrounded in purple energy, hurting them. They're both dealt some heavy damage and they were both beaten.
"Treecko!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Pikachu!" Sora also exclaimed.
"Let's finish them off," the female grunt said. The other grunts agreed. Suddenly, a familiar Pikachu and Eevee jumps in the scene. It was Xipak and Celeste. Xipak fired Thunderbolt at Tentacruel, shocking it. Celeste gave Tentacruel a hit with her Swift.
"You again," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Xipak said.
"Somehow I had a feeling you were nearby," Sora said.
"That Pikachu is going to pay for getting in the way! Spheal! Use Ice Ball on them!" The female grunt ordered. Spheal forms a ball of ice from its mouth and sends it right at Xipak and Celeste. They dodged the attack and Xipak dashed at Spheal with a Quick Attack and lands a hit. Xipak then swings his tail and sends Spheal flying at the female grunt. She growled in anger.
"Why you little-!" The female grunt growled.
"Eevee! Use Shadow Ball!" Riku called out. Eevee jumped and fired Shadow Ball at the grunts. Sora, Brendan, and Max turned to see Kairi, Riku, Naminé, May, Lisia, Angel, and Azurill coming towards them.
"Here comes the cavalry!" Kairi said.
"Better late than never," Sora said.
"Abandon the mission. It's a failure," the female grunt said.
They all agreed as they took out a smoke bomb and dropped it on the ground. Everyone covered their mouths, not wanting to breathe in the smoke. As Team Aqua have made their getaway, Xipak and Celeste did the same thing. The smoke cleared and the Team Aqua grunts were gone.
"Where did they go?" Lisia asked.
"They can't be too far," Riku said.
"Yeah, but we don't know where they went," Naminé said.
"She's right. We shouldn't be chasing after Team Aqua without a plan. We should let them go for now," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel agreed.
"Anyway, are you alright?" Sora asked.
"I am, thanks to you. Anyway, I'm Captain Stern. Pleased to meet you," Captain Stern said.
"Nice to meet you," Sora said. "I'm Sora."
"My name's Kairi, and this Eevee is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"I'm Riku."
"My name's Naminé."
"I'm Brendan."
"My name's May."
"My name's Max."
"And I'm Lisia. What did Team Aqua want from you?" Lisia asked.
"They wanted the machine parts that I have just received from the Devon Corporation. I have no idea why they would want it though," Captain Stern said.
"What could Team Aqua be planning?" Naminé asked.
"I don't know. But I have a feeling whatever they're cooking up is going to be bad for us," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu weakly said.
"Eevee," Angel said with concern.
"Oh, Pikachu's poisoned, isn't he?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. He and Brendan's Treecko were hit by that Tentacruel's Toxic and Hex combo," Sora said.
"Here, let me help you with that," Captain Stern said, taking out an antidote for Pikachu and Treecko. Both Pokémon were healed of their poisoning. "There. Isn't that better?"
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Treecko!" Treecko added.
"That answers that," Brendan said. He noticed Xipak and Celeste are gone, too. "But where did that other Pikachu and Eevee go?"
"I don't know, but I'm glad that they showed up when they did," Sora said.
Inside of Sora's heart, Roxas just smiled, knowing his partner and his girlfriend has saved the day.
"Thank you, Xipak," Roxas said.
Meanwhile, the Team Aqua grunts have returned to their submarine and they stood before Archie.
"You're telling me that the reason you couldn't get a hold of the Devon Corporation's machine parts was all because some kids got in the way?" Archie asked, irritated by the fact the grunts have failed.
"It wasn't our fault, sir. We would have gotten them if weren't for their meddling," the female grunt said.
"Ugh, now we will have to try something else to located the, Blue Orb, the Cave of Origins and Kyogre before Team Magma finds Groudon and the Red Orb," Archie said.
Back in Slateport City, Sora sat on the beach by himself and he thought back to what Team Aqua and Team Magma's confrontation on Dewford Island.
"What are Team Magma and Team Aqua planning to do?" Sora asked in his thoughts. Kairi tapped on his shoulder, alerting Sora. "Whoa!"
"Are you alright?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, I was just thinking," Sora said.
"About Team Magma and Team Aqua back on Dewford Island?" Kairi asked.
"You always could tell what's on my mind," Sora said.
"And that just confirms it. I was thinking about them, too. I am wondering what they're trying to do," Kairi said.
"Well, I'm thinking it's something we don't want to know about, but going to anyway," Sora said.
"You're right," Kairi agreed. She then saw something in the distance. What she saw is an aquatic bivalve Pokémon. Its bivalve shell is dark blue with a silver rim along the inner edges. A fully-grown shell will have nicks and scratches all over. Inside of the shell is a fragile, light blue body composed of six spherical extensions with a pink, pearl-like head in the center, usually depicted with its eyes closed. There is a circular white patch on each cheek. "Wait, what is that?"
"What's what?" Sora asked as Kairi took out her Rotom Phone to scan the Pokémon she's seeing.
Clamperl, the Bivalve Pokémon
Type: Water
A Clamperl slams its shell closed on prey to prevent escape. The pearl it creates upon evolution is said to be infused with a mysterious energy.
"So that's a Clamperl. But they usually make their homes in the bottom of the ocean," Kairi said.
"Well, you eyed it, so it's only fair that you catch this one," Sora said.
"Okay," Kairi said, taking out a Pokéball. She threw it at Clamperl and it flows inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi went over to the Pokéball and picked it up. "I got myself a Clamperl."
"Eevee, vee!" Angel said.
"Nice one, Kairi!" Sora said.
"Thank you, Sora. She'll make a good addition to the team," Kairi said. She spotted another Clamperl not too far away from them. "Sora, look. Another Clamperl." Sora turned to see the Clamperl. He grinned.
"First I get an egg, and now I get my own Clamperl," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it at Clamperl. The Bivalve Pokémon flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora took out his Pokémon Box and sends his Clamperl to Professor Oak's lab. "And I have a Clamperl, too."
"Good job, Sora," Kairi said.
"So was my new Clamperl a boy or a girl?" Sora asked.
"Boy," Kairi said. "We should get going. Everyone's waiting for us."
"Right," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel rejoins their friends.
Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill took off on their own for a while Rei accompanied Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel.
The group started to make their way towards Mauville City as they come across a familiar group of twelve.
"Tai?" Sora asked.
"Kari!" Kairi said.
"Hey, Ketchum. Long time no see," Tai said.
"What are you doing here?" Kairi asked.
"We decided to get some traveling done," Sora T said.
"And we didn't expect to bump into you here," Joe said.
"Well, it's good to see you guys again," Sora said.
"Sora, Kairi, you know them?" May asked.
"Yeah, we met them during our first journey together," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Who are they?" Cody asked.
"Right, I should introduce you. Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Master Rei, these are friends of ours. Meet Tai Kamiya, Matt Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Izzy Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Joe Kido, TK Takaishi, Kari Kamiya, Davis Motomiya, Yolei Inoue, Cody Hida, and Ken Ichijouji. Guys, meet Brendan and May, they're Pokémon Trainers who are just starting out. The little kid here is Max, May's little brother. Lisia is a new friend of ours, and this is Rei Sakura, our teacher of the Keyblade," Sora said.
"So your name's Sora, too?" May asked Sora T.
"Yeah, but Tai just called him by his last name and we just call him Sora 2 instead of Boy Sora," Sora T said.
"Very funny," Sora said.
"Just how do you twelve know about the Keyblade?" Rei asked.
"We heard the story from Ash," Matt said.
"Yeah, he filled us in on it. The last time we saw each other was during the whole Greenfield incident," Yolei said.
"I see," Rei said, understanding.
"We want you to know we never have any intentions of getting them in trouble," Izzy said.
"I understand. There are some things that can get out at some point," Rei said.
"So how about we make a stop just so we can rest?" May asked.
"Our camp is just over this way," Ken said.
The group heads for the camp. In the camp is are some Pokemon present there. There is Flame who is now a Charizard along with his Dragonair. There was also a large Alolan Marowak, a Mightyena, an Altaria, a Heracross, a Ledian, a male Venusaur, a Bellossom, a Sunflora, a Blastoise, two Rapidash (one Kantonian and one Galarian), a Volbeat, an Illumise, a Nudorino, a Nidorina, a Pidgeot, a Mudkip, a Sandshrew, a light green Beedrill with blue eyes, and some Pokemon they haven't seen yet.
One of them is a small Pokémon that resembles a tan figurine made out of clay or mud. There are arching, red markings over its eyes, which usually appear closed. A red stripe encircles its body, and forms a ring on its belly. It has flat appendages that resemble arms. A spike protrudes from the top of its head and another, smaller spike under its body acts as its foot. This Pokémon is known as a Baltoy.
Two of them are bipedal, maiden-like humanoid Pokémon that appears to be wearing a tutu. Most of their bodies are colored white, and there are three ruffles on each hip. Beneath the ruffles, they have skinny green legs with long, pointed feet. Their arms are also thin with two digits each. It has green hair that covers most of its face and reaches its shoulders on either side, resembling two ponytails. Large, red eyes are visible on either side of the hair that covers its face. On each side of their heads is a flat, crimson horn that resembles a hairpin. These two Pokémon are known as Kirlia.
Another is a quadrupedal, feline Pokémon with a mostly tan body. It has a pointed, whisker-like protrusion on each cheek. Its purple ears have three tufts of fur at the tips, and there is a purple ruff-like collar with pin-like extensions around its neck. It has slim legs with tiny, digitless paws. It also possesses a purple, flower-like tuft of hair on the end of its thin tail. This Pokémon is known as a Delcatty.
Another is a dragonfly-like Pokémon. It has a small head with two yellow antennae and green bulging eyes with black oval-shaped pupils. Its mouth has two large white teeth protruding from each side. It has a skinny yellow body, four skinny black legs with slender feet, and four green, rhombus-shaped wings with black edges. There are similarly-colored rhombus shapes at the end of its tail. This Pokémon is known as a Vibrava.
Another is a bipedal, blue, reptilian Pokémon vaguely resembling a pachycephalosaurus. It possesses a large, round snout, triangular eyes, yellow, circular ears similar to reptiles, and a yellow lower jaw with two teeth protruding upwards. Three thick, gray ridges cover the top of its head and continue downwards to cover its neck as well. There is a triangular patch of yellow on its underside. It has stubby, digit-less arms and short legs with two toes on each foot. This Pokémon is known as a Bagon.
"Are these your Pokémon?" Brendan asked.
"Yeah, they are. Flame and Dragonair are my Pokémon, along with that Marowak," Tai said.
"Mightyena's rolling with me," Matt said, petting the Bite Pokémon.
"This is my Altaria," Sora T said.
"Heracross and Ledian are mine," Izzy said.
"Blastoise is mine," Joe said.
"Venusaur, Sunflora, and Bellossom are my Pokémon," Mimi said.
"Volbeat, Nidorino, the Kanto region Rapidash, and this Kirlia are my Pokémon," TK said.
"Delcatty, the Galarian Rapidash, Illumise, and Nidorina, and this Kirlia are mine, too," Kari said.
"Mudkip and Sandshrew are my Pokémon," Cody said.
"Pidgeot is my partner," Yolei said.
"Bagon's rolling with me," Davis said.
"Meet my Vibrava and my Beedrill," Ken said.
"Wow, so cool!" Max exclaimed. He went up to Tai's Marowak. "I never seen an Alolan Marowak before, and not only that, but bigger than it's supposed to be."
"I caught this Marowak during a class trip and he's been with me since. Everyone were amazed by how huge it was. Ketchum and Kairi didn't meet him because he was doing his own thing, keeping some of the wild Koffing in check," Tai explained.
"Our teachers told us that it's a rare thing for certain Pokémon to grow to Totem-size," Sora T added.
"Totem-sized Pokémon?" May asked.
"I think Riku explained it to me. He said that there are Pokémon that assists the Island Kahunas of Alola with the trails they go through. Riku said that they're called Totem Pokémon," Sora said.
"Have you ever seen them before, Sora?" May asked.
"No. Kairi and I never been to Alola, but Riku did mentioned Totem-sized Pokémon being a rare thing, especially out in the wild," Sora said.
A few minutes have passed so Sora has let out Taillow, Torchic, Treecko, Mudkip, Electrike, Poochyena, Makuhita, Corphish, and Whismur as Kairi has let out Plusle, Minun, Budew, Swablu, Skitty, Beautifly, Feebas, Mawile, Surskit, Clamperl, and her own Ralts. May has let out her Torchic, Beautifly, and Swablu as Brendan has let out his Treecko, Dustox, Taillow, Zigzagoon, Shroomish, and Zubat and Lisia has let out Ali. Sora placed his new egg with his other Pokémon, knowing it'll be safe.
The Pokémon were quickly getting to know one another, becoming fast friends.
"Wow, look at that. They're already friends," May said as looked at her Pokémon. Her Swablu was getting along with Sora T's Altaria as her Torchic was getting along with Flame.
Everyone all had a meal together and they shared their experiences while in the Hoenn region, like the Gym challenges and the Battle Frontier, and Kairi in Pokémon Contests.
"You know, I thought you were going to participate in Contests, Kairi," Kari said.
"Yeah, we all saw you on TV back in Slateport City from a nearby village," TK added.
"You were amazing out there," Yolei said.
"Thanks," Kairi said with a smile.
"And so were you, May," Davis said.
"Davis is right. You and your Beautifly were made for each other," Ken said.
"Thank you," May said.
"Sorry that you lost the Contest though," Cody said.
"No, don't apologize, Cody. I just have to try again," May said.
"That's the spirit, May. Just remember to smile," Lisia said.
Just when they were eating a group of Heartless attacked. The Heartless consisted of Shadows, Soldiers, Air Soldiers, Large Bodies, Wizards, Wyverns, Defenders, Armored Knights, Gangsters, Powerwilds, Bouncywilds, Bad Dogs, and some new Heartless.
One is a monkey-like Heartless much like the Powerwilds, so it is wearing red Chinese-style clothing. It has large yellow eyes, and claws. The Heartless symbol is right on their backs, and they were all styled as kung-fu fighters. This Heartless shall be known as the Fighterwilds.
Another has a resemblance to a panda but it's not as friendly as a real panda. Unlike a real panda, it is black and red, and has the Heartless symbol on its foreheads and yellow eyes. It has razor-sharp teeth and has a bamboo stick on top of its head. This Heartless shall be known as the Rabid Panda.
Another is a white tiger-like Heartless, so it has yellow eyes and the Heartless symbol on its forehead. This Heartless shall he known as the Lesser Tiger.
Another is a Heartless that looked like a mantis. It has large yellow eyes and sharp, razor forearms. The Heartless symbol is right on the throax. This Heartless shall be known as the Slayer Mantis.
And finally there is a Heartless that has dark green scales and a light green underbelly. It has the traditional Heartless eyes and the Heartless symbol is on the forehead. This shall be known as the Crawling Gator.
"Heartless!" Sora, Kairi, Rei, Brendan, and May exclaimed. Sora, Kairi, and Rei summoned their Keyblades and engaged the Heartless. The Shadows jumped forward at the Keyblade wielders as Pikachu fired Thunderbolt at the Shadows, destroying them.
The Fighterwilds came at them with their kung-fu skills, so Rei smacked two of the Fighterwilds with her Star Cluster.
A Lesser Tiger came at Kairi, so she casts a balloon spell on the tiger-like Heartless, destroying them.
"Cool, magical balloons!" Davis said.
"Davis, get down, you idiot!" Yolei yelled, getting him down.
Sora slashed at the Soldiers and the Powerwilds with his Kingdom Key as a Slayer Mantis attempts to grab him, but he dodged it and he slashed at the Slayer Mantis. Pikachu and Angel fired their Thunderbolt and Swift combo, hitting the Large Bodies as Kairi jumped and slashed at another Large Body in the head, taking it out. A Crawling Gator snapped at the Keyblade wielders as a Rabid Panda swings is claws at them. Rei casts a magnet spell and pulls them Heartless in it.
The fight raged on as some more Heartless appeared to attack.
One looked like a doberman pinsher. Like the doberman, it is black and tan, and has a long snout, but slightly longer. The teeth were sharp and its tongue dangled like that of Venom. Like any other Heartless, it has yellow eyes, and it wore a black spiked collar. The Heartless symbol is acting as a dog tag. It has a stubby tail, and cropped ears. This Heartless shall be known as the Doberman Punisher.
Another looked like a husky. The Heartless symbol is on the collar while wearing it. This Heartless has bluish-gray and white fur. This Heartless shall be known as the Snow Dog.
Another greatly resembled a bulldog, but it has horns of a bull on its head, and has a nose ring. It has black fur and gray under fur. It's wearing a blue spiked collar and has the same yellow eyes. This Heartless shall be known as the Toro Dog.
Another is a dragon-like Heartless. It's green with large wings. It had spikes going down from the top of the head to the end of the tail. It has Heartless yellow eyes and the Heartless symbol on its forehead. This Heartless are known as the Fire Green Dragon.
Sora, Kairi, Rei, Pikachu, and Angel kept on fighting the Heartless. One of the Doberman Punishers got past the Keyblade wielders and heads right for May.
"May!" Brendan exclaimed in fright.
"May, no!" Max cried.
May gasped as something unexpected happened. A Keyblade appeared in May's hand and she used it to slay the Doberman Punisher. Everyone was shocked when it just appeared in her hand. No one was more shocked about it than May.
The Keyblade is blue. The guard of the Keyblade is shaped like Kygore's face. The teeth of the Keyblade is shaped like Kyogre's pectoral fins, but the markings have an Alpha symbol on it. The token is the head of Primal Kyogre. This Keyblade shall be known as the Alpha Sapphire Kyogre.
"Wha?! A Keyblade? I have my own Keyblade now?" May asked.
"That's cool," Tai said.
"May just gotten her own Keyblade now. I never would have imagine it," Izzy said.
"My own Keyblade. That means it's my turn to shine again," May said, holding her new Keyblade.
The Heartless sets their attention onto May, but she swung her Alpha Sapphire Kyogre at the attacking Heartless. May casts a blizzard spell, freezing them in their tracks. Sora and Kairi came and struck them down. She jumped as a Snow Dog came right at her, but she swung her Keyblade at the husky-like Heartless, destroying it. She managed to hold her own against the Heartless, much to her surprise. They kept on fighting until the last of the Heartless were dealt with. Rei looked at May as she held the Alpha Sapphire Kyogre. Rei walked up to her.
"This is an unexpected thing to happen. But I can tell you have helped us out when we needed it," Rei said.
"She's right, May. We really appreciate your help," Kairi said.
"Yeah, thanks a lot," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee, vee," Angel said.
"So I've been thinking, May," Rei said.
"Yes?" May asked.
"I was thinking of taking you in as an apprentice, too. You'll be beginning your studies as a Keyblade wielder beginning today. But the choice will be yours to make," Rei said. May thought for a moment. She was already taking part in Contests, and if Sora and the others can make it work, then so can she, and she figured Rei can teach her everything she needs to know.
"I'll learn from you, Master Rei," May said.
"I'm glad to hear it, May. Just know this. I do not plan on going easy on you. I can teach you all I know when it comes to physical combat and magic. They will be the tools you need to protect yourself," Rei said.
"I understand," May said.
"I don't get it. How did May get a Keyblade?" Max asked.
"Well, Sora said a Keyblade chooses its master, so it chose her just like Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Lyra, and Kris were chosen," Brendan said.
"He's right, Max. Some things are meant to happen to certain people in certain times. It's called 'destiny'," Kari said.
It would seem Bahamut was right. Another wielder of the Keyblade was chosen, so May has gained her own Keyblade, so what does the future hold for the young Pokémon Coordinator? Find out when we continue on with the journey up ahead.
