Episode 245: A PokéBlock Party!
It was a little later after Sora, Kairi, Lisia, the DigiDestined, Pikachu, and Angel have left Misty Village, so they were discussing Sora's strategy for his Gym battle against the Gym Leader.
"Sora, I thought you should know that the Gym Leader uses Electric-type Pokémon," Lisia said.
"Electric-type, huh? The only Ground-types I caught here in Hoenn are Nincada and Barboach, and there's also Treecko since he's a Grass-type Pokémon," Sora said.
"Sounds like you came prepared, Sora 2. And a logial strategy since it's common knowledge that Ground-types are immune to Electric-type moves," Izzy said.
"And that's coming from the Crest of Knowledge," Tai said. The rest of the group laughed. Sora took out his Pokémon Box and he exchanged Whismur and Poochyena for Nincada and Barboach. So Sora decided to have a practice battle with the DigiDestined before he had his official battle.
"Okay, who wants to have a go with me?" Sora asked.
"I can take you up on that, Sora 2. I mean, I'm not just a skilled soccer player, but I'm also good in a Pokémon battle, too!" Davis said. He took out his Pokeball and he threw it. "Okay, Bagon! Come on out!" His Pokéball opened and his Bagon emerged from inside, ready to battle. Kairi took out her Rotom Phone to scan it.
Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon
Type: Dragon
Bagon dreams of having wings being able to fly. It climbs up to high places and jumps off in an attempt to fly. When it become frustrated in being unable to fly, it headbutts the surrounding area with its steel-hard head.
"So Bagon's literally a hard-head," Kairi said, putting her Rotom Phone away.
"And that's pretty much why it's a perfect Pokémon for a knucklehead like Davis," Yolei said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Treecko!" Sora called out. Treecko came out and placed his twig in his mouth.
"Okay, I might be that smart, but even I know Grass-type moves don't affect Dragon-type Pokémon like my Bagon," Davis said.
"Yeah, but my Treecko isn't willing to back off just because of a type disadvantage," Sora said.
"Treecko," Treecko said.
"This should be good," Sora T said.
"Well, let's see if they can make it enjoyable," Ken said.
"Okay, Bagon! Start things up with a Headbutt!" Davis ordered. Bagon charges right at Treecko with its head out in front.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Treecko dodged Bagon's Headbutt. "Now, use Pound!" Treecko swings his large tail hits the Rock Head Pokémon on the mark.
"Use Ember!" Davis ordered. Bagon fired Ember fired Ember right at Treecko, landing a hit. "Now use Dragon Breath!" Light blue energy swirls around Bagon before it unleashed a light blue stream of energy and it heads right towards Treecko.
"Dodge and use Leafage!" Sora ordered. Treecko unleashed Leafage, landing a hit. "Now, use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Treecko dashed right at Bagon, landing a hit onto the Rock Head Pokémon.
"Bagon! Use Ember!" Davis ordered. Bagon fired Ember right at Treecko.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Treecko dodged Bagon's Ember.
"Keep firing Ember!" Davis ordered. Bagon kept firing Ember at the Wood Gecko Pokémon. Treecko's speed made it harder for Bagon to land a hit.
"Whoa, that Treecko's pretty fast. He must have been training it hard, otherwise that Treecko wouldn't have such awesome speed," Davis said in his thoughts.
"Okay, Treecko! Use Pound!" Sora called out. Treecko swings his tail at Bagon, dealing some damage.
"Use Headbutt!" Davis ordered. Bagon lands a hit onto Treecko, dealing some damage on him.
"Okay, use Leafage!" Sora ordered.
"Use Dragon Breath!" Davis ordered. Both Pokémon fired their attacks at one another, but Bagon's attack cuts through Treecko's Leafage and lands a hit onto him. "Okay, use Headbutt!" Bagon dashed right at the Wood Gecko Pokemon.
"Treecko! Use Pound!" Sora ordered. Treecko swings his tail right at Bagon. Their two attacks landed a hit onto each other, so they both felt tired, so Sora and Davis went up to their Pokemon and held them. "Hey, Davis, that was great and all, but let's call it a draw."
"Yeah, okay. Your Treecko's pretty awesome," Davis said.
"I was thinking the same thing about your Bagon, Davis," Sora said.
"You're on!" Davis said.
"I know the sounds of friendly competition between friends when I hear one," a familiar voice said. They turned to see Rei along with Brendan, May, and Max standing before them. The voice belonged to her. "I figured you'll be close to Mauville City by now, and it looks like I was right."
"Hey, Master Rei," Sora greeted.
"Hi, May! It's so good to see you!" Lisia happily exclaimed as she went up to her. "So, have you won your ribbon yet?"
"I did," May said, showing her friends her first ribbon. It is an orange ribbon with pink linings.
"Look at how cute it is," Mimi said.
"We knew you'd do it, May," Sora T said.
"She used her Beautifly again, so she did better than she thought she'd think," Brendan said.
"Also, Miss Rei has been teaching her running up walls. May was having some trouble with it, which was kinda funny," Max said, almost laughing.
"But she eventually did get the hang of it," Brendan said. "Also, May has been practicing her magic, and she learned some new spells."
"Yeah, I learned to use gravity, stop, and water, and that's about it for now," May said.
"At least you're making progress, May," Kairi said.
"I appreciate it, Kairi. Brendan, Max, and Master Rei were very supportive," May said.
"Well, you had the right people to support you, May," Rei said. She smiled. "Alright, everyone, let's go."
"Right," the rest of the group said as they took their leave and started to head for Mauville City again.
That night, and over to Ash and Leaf, Ash has climbed into his sleeping bag to fall asleep. As he slept, he began to dream again.
We dive into Ash's dream and see Viento riding through the Lanes Between. He Vanitas went past him, alerting him. He is covered with an orange, and purple cloud, protecting him.
"Huh? Him again!" Viento exclaimed.
"Where is he going?" Ash asked. Viento followed Vanitas through the Lanes Between and chased him to the same world that Gaia and Xehanort were speaking to each other.
"What the?! This place again!" Ash gasped. He lands right on his feet as Viento arrived to the world and lands on the ground once he dismissed his armor. Viento looked around for him.
"Where's he hiding?" Viento asked as he looked around. Ash saw Vanitas appearing behind him.
"He's behind you!" Ash called out, despite knowing he couldn't be seen or heard. Viento knew he was close, so he turned around and saw him.
"All right! What did mean about Gaia being a different person?" Viento asked.
"Exactly what I said, idiot!. The Gaia you know will be gone forever," Vanitas said. Viento didn't believe him and he became angered by what Vanitas said to him.
"That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard!" Viento argued.
"Stupid or true," Vanitas said as he held out his hand. Viento didn't know what was going on, but he found out when Vanitas has summoned his Keyblade, the Void Gear in his hand.
"A Keyblade?" Viento asked. Viento was in disbelief, and he shook it off as he summoned his own Keyblade and held it in his hand.
"Good. Let's see what you're made of," Vanitas said.
"Take him," Ash said as Viento charges right at Vanitas, but he dodged and came at Viento before he could get a chance to counterattack. Vanitas was making quick work of his opponent, sending him flying. Vanitas approached him.
"That really all what you got? Man, you are worthless. I'd be going against the Master's orders, but so what? As far as I'm concerned, your job here is done," Vanitas said as he prepares to finish off Viento with what he did with Sora and Kairi (or in this case, what he will do, but you get the picture). He sends it right at Viento, but someone quickly grabbed the young Keyblade wielder before Vanitas could react. Ash wished he could do something about it if only he could be seen and heard by the two of them. The flames are seen on his mask, and then he head someone speak.
"Don't worry. You're safe," a voice said. Vanitas turned to see Zest over Viento along with his comrades.
"Is he okay?" Fritz asked.
"He will be," Zest said, holding up the Star Seeker. "Heal!" He casts his healing spell on Viento looked up to the knight. Zest smiled before he turned to Vanitas and approached him. "Tell me where you got that! Keyblades are not something you can just abuse whomever you wish! And I shall teach you why!" Zest said.
"We both will," Viento said, standing up and joining the knight. Zest saw the determination in his eyes and he allowed him to assist.
"Wait, you're just a boy!" Flora said.
"Hold," Teol said. The white mage turned to black mage.
"Hold? He almost got killed, so he shouldn't be over-doing it," Flora said.
"I agree with Teol," Zauver said. They all looked at the ninja. "His flames are not easily extinguished.
"We must join in!" Tomok said, wanting to join in. Fritz was about to draw his sword, but Fritz stopped the red mage from doing so.
"No, Teol's right. We should see what he can do," Fritz said. Tomok nodded at the black belt, so the fight between Zest, Viento, and Vanitas started again. Vanitas performs a running slash, followed by a spinning slash, but Zest came at Vanitas and clashed his Keyblade against his. The two Keyblade wielders came at Vanitas, so he clashed his Void Gear against theirs. Thanks to the teamwork of Viento and Zest, they overpowered Vanitas. They were certain he was finished, but he wasn't. He proves it by getting back up, alerting the two Keyblade wielders. Teol and Flora readied their staves as Fritz got into a fighting stance as Zauver drew his katana, and Tomok drew his sword. They were all ready to fight him.
"You win," Vanitas said as a corridor of darkness opened behind him. "Consider yourself on probation," Vanitas said, backing up. He disappeared into the darkness as the corridor of darkness closes. Viento and Zest dismissed their Keyblades. Viento was confused by what he said.
"Probation for what?" Viento asked. He turned to the six warriors with a smile. "Thanks for before. I owe ya. I'm Viento. What's yours?"
"My name is Zest Ketchum. And these are my friends and travel companions," Zest introduced himself.
"My name is Teol, and I am a black mage," Teol said.
"I am Flora, and I'm a white mage," Flora introduced.
"My name's Fritz, a monk," Fritz introduced.
"I'm Zauver. The world's greatest ninja," Zauver said.
"And I'm Tomok. I am a red mage," Tomok said. Viento smiled.
"I saw you have a Keyblade, too, Zest," Viento said.
"Yes. I have been training under Fusoya. He discovered the danger the worlds are in, so we took off without telling him," Zest said.
"Well, that makes all of us. I ran off, too," Viento said.
"We were brought here through this Star Shard, so I had to think of where to go," Zest said.
"But what he didn't know is where and when it will kick in," Fritz said. Zest felt sheepish.
"Yeah, because I thought it would help," Zest said.
"So it's been taking us into some random locations," Zauver said.
"But we're glad we came here just in time, Viento," Flora said.
"It might not have been an accident, becuase it is reacting to something," Teol said.
The Star Shard glowed brightly, so Ash shields his eyes. Ash and Viento floats out in the Lanes Between and they see a world that has a castle in the center, but it looks hauntingly familiar to him.
"It can't be what I think it is, is it?" Ash asked. Before he could see more, he woke up and he looked around. "Wow, that was some dream," Ash said. He rubs his eyes. "It looked like Hollow Bastion, but what does that place has to do with anything?" Ash figured he could figure out more when he has more of the visions.
In the next morning, Sora, Kairi, Rei, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined, Pikachu, and Angel have arrived to Mauville City at last.
"Mauville City, we've made it," Cody said. Lisia noticed something on a nearby billboard.
"Look at that, everybody!" Lisia said. Everyone all looked at what she was looking at and they approached the billboard, advertising a contest.
"Look at what's on the poster," Sora said.
"'Announcing the Trick House Contest. Winners receives a one-year supply of PokéBlock'," Max reads.
"Wow! A one-year supply of Pokeblock! How cool is that?!" May exclaimed.
"Really cool is how," Matt said.
"It sure is. With all that PokéBlock, our Pokémon will be happy to last us a year," Yolei said.
"Well, as leader of the DigiDestined, I say we should take advantage of this opportunity while we can. Anyone oppose?" Tai asked.
"Not me, Tai," Sora T said. Kari giggled.
"I figured she'd go with that," Kari whispered to TK. He chuckled.
"Like she's the only one. We're all in," Davis said.
"Likewise," Joe said.
"It looks like it's unanimous," Rei said.
"What do you say, Kairi? You in?" Sora asked.
"Why not? I mean, it should be loads of fun," Kairi said.
"Say, how about we be two teams? The DigiDestined against the Keybladers?" Ken suggested.
"Not a bad plan, Ken," TK said.
"That's kinda unfair since your team got more heads than our team," May said.
"Not all of us has a Keyblade, you know. If May's in it, then so am I," Brendan said.
"Me too!" Max said.
"Lisia, you in? We can use the extra person," Sora said.
"I don't know," Lisia said.
"Come on, Lisia. It should be fun," Brendan said.
"Okay, you talked me into it," Lisia said.
"You're six people short. Ash, Leaf, Riku, Naminé, Ethan, Lyra, and Kris would have tipped the scales in your favor," Izzy said.
"Numbers don't make the team, Izzy. It's spirit," Sora said.
"He's right. Heart does," Brendan said.
"Even I know that's true," Izzy said.
"Well, may the better team win, Ketchum," Tai said.
"You too," Tai," Sora said. Sora and Tai shook hands, promising each other a good showdown. Rei just smiled.
"This takes me back. Kids are full of so much energy," Rei said.
Elsewhere, a very familiar Jigglypuff walks down the streets of Mauville City and saw the same poster. She looked at it and thought it was a concert to sing at.
"This is my chance!" - Jigglypuff subtitle.
The group saw a large gathering of young Trainers.
"Any idea what the rules are in this kind of contest, Brendan?" Sora asked.
"Actually, I really don't know. I never heard of it either to be honest," Brendan said.
"Do we build a trick house or something?" Joe asked.
"Nah, I wouldn't think so," Max said. Just then, a Whismur came up from behind and pushes Max down, making him yelp.
"Whismur!" The Whismur said.
"You okay, Max?" Kairi asked.
"I'm fine," Max said. She spotted the Whismur. "Whoa! A Whismur!" Max said.
"Let's check it out," Brendan said, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.
Whismur, the Whisper Pokémon
Type: Normal
Whismur can become so startled by the sound of its own crying that it will continue to cry until finally falling asleep from exhaustion.
"Where did this Whismur come from?" Lisia asked.
"She must be lost," Kairi said.
"Whismur!" A girl's voice called out. They turned to see a girl with green hair tied in pigtails with orange hairpins, and blue eyes. She wore a pink dress with yellow pants and a pair of sandals. "You shouldn't go running off on your own like that!"
"Is this your Whismur?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. I'm Alanna," the girl introduced herself.
"I'm Sora Ketchum, and this is Pikachu," Sora introduced himself.
"My name's Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"I'm Brendan," Brendan introduced.
"I'm May, and this is my brother, Max," May introduced.
"I'm Tai Kamiya," Tai introduced.
"Kari Kamiya," Kari introtuced.
"I'm Matt Ishida," Matt introduced.
"I'm TK Takaishi," TK introduced himself.
"I'm Sora Takenouchi," Sora T introduced.
"I'm Mimi Tachikawa," Mimi introduced.
"My name's Joe Kido," Joe introduced.
"I'm Izzy Izumi," Izzy introduced.
"I'm Davis Motomiya," Davis introduced.
"My name's Ken Ichijouji," Ken introduced.
"I'm Yolei Inoue," Yolei introduced.
"My name's Cody Hida," Cody introduced.
"And I'm Lisia," Lisia introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you," Alanna said.
"Whismur, Whis," Whismur said.
"Say, do you know anything about this Trick House Contest Contest coming up?" Brendan asked.
"Of course! But the famous King of Tricks is just about to come out, and he'll explain it all," Alanna said.
"The King of Tricks?" Sora asked.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked.
"Who's he?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said.
They get their answer when a particular man appeared on stage. He wore an outfit that seems appropriate for a circus ringmaster. He has messy hair and a curly mustache.
"Welcome one and welcome all! I'm your host and creator of the Trick House Contest. Yes, I'm your King of Tricks! Good to see you!" The King of Tricks announced. Everyone all applauds him.
"I think I just got my answer," Kairi said.
"If you ask me, he looks like he's someone who's been drinking way too much coffee," Davis commented.
"I was thinking of sugar, but that, too," Max said.
"Neither seems to be a healthy lifestyle," Joe said.
"Behold my Trick House! And it's chock-full of trickiest traps I've ever devised! It will take both wisdom and wit to make it all the way through! And whoever gets past all of my traps and reaches the exist first is the winner!" The King of Tricks announced.
"Well, at least we know how it works," Matt said.
"And let us not forget the stupendously yummy prize you're playing to win..." The King of Tricks announced as he revealed the prize. "...a one-year supply of delicious, nutritious PokéBlock!" Everyone all cheered hard. "Enter through any door you wish. The choice is yours. So without further ado, trick time! Many enter! Few will win! Come on, people! Let's begin!" He laughed as he sinks through a trapdoor on stage.
"Well, he's definitely full of energy," Lisia said.
"Yes, a dangerous amount of much energy," Izzy said.
"Is it always like this, Alanna?" May asked.
"Of course, it is. He shows up every year," Alanna said.
"Why don't you hang with us, Alanna? We could use an extra teammate," May offered.
"Go ahead, Ketchum. Get all the help you need, but one more person's not gonna make the difference," Tai said.
"We'll see about that, Tai," Sora said.
"Come on, guys! Let's go!" Tai said as he and the rest of the DigiDestined go in through the third door.
"The first door's okay with me," Sora said as he and Pikachu walked in.
"Right behind you, Sora," Kairi said.
"This should be loads of fun!" Lisia said.
Rei was watching from the crowd and smiled warmly. She didn't notice Jigglypuff run inside the Trick House through the first door.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Alanna, Pikachu, Angel, and Whismur, they wondered through the hall of the Trick House as Alanna explains on why she's entering it.
"I'm doing this contest today in order to improve my teamwork performance with my Whismur," Alanna explained.
"I'd call that a very good reason," Brendan said.
"Me too. Good luck," May said.
They were unaware of Jigglypuff following them.
"Look at that!" Lisia said, making everyone stop. They saw there was a maze and they knew they had to go through it.
"Whoa," Sora said.
"So he put the maze first this year," Alanna said.
"Well, the only way to get through this place is through the maze. It's just good a start as any," Sora said.
"Well, I can solve this with my eyes closed," Brendan said, going forward. He stopped when he finds he's in front of a wall on the first try.
"Maybe you should try it with your mouth closed," May said.
"Yeah, and your eyes opened," Max added.
"Maybe Tai and the others are having better luck than we are," Sora said in his thoughts.
Over to the DigiDestined, Davis was getting them lost.
"I'm telling you, it's this way!" Davis argued.
"Davis, that's what you said the last time, and it only led us to a dead end," Yolei said.
"Maybe we should think this all the way through, Davis," Cody said.
"You do the thinking, and I'll be going this-" Davis was cut off when it was another dead end. "-way."
"Nice sense of direction, Davis," TK deadpanned.
"Okay, I was wrong, so sue me!" Davis exclaimed. The rest of the DigiDestined all groaned.
"Maybe Ketchum's team is having better luck than we are," Tai said in his thoughts.
Speaking of which, Sora made it to another dead end.
"Shoot! Another one," Sora said.
"If we keep guessing like this, we'll be lost in here until we're old," Brendan said. Just then, the King of Tricks entered through a door behind them.
"Hey there!" The King of Tricks greeted and alarming the team. "Working hard, are we? Keep in mind, this is much, much more than a maze. Oh, yes, it is!" He opened another door. "Take this door! Once inside..." He ran into a huge soaked sponge. "You'd find your young selves faced with the fabulous Wet Sponge Room! You take the plunge and make the lunge; you'll find the sponge." He laughed as he twirls out through the door he came in through.
"Okay. So is the King of Tricks really as crazy as he acts?" May asked, feeling awkward.
"Crazy? No, he's eccentric!" Alanna said.
"Boy, I'll say he is," Sora said.
"Well, we'll have to keep on trying until we find it," Lisia said.
"That's what we'll do," Kairi said.
Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Alanna, Pikachu, Angel, and Whismur came to one or two dead ends. Sora and Pikachu went with Brendan and Max as Kairi and Angel went with May and Lisia as they go through different paths. Alanna and her Whismur went through a different route.
"Not another dead end!" Max exclaimed.
"Maybe the girls had better luck than us," Brendan said.
"Kairi, any clues on your end?" Sora asked.
"Nope. We hit another dead end," Kairi answered.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Alanna, how about you?" May asked.
"Well, there is a fork in the path over here," Alanna said. Whismur marched to the left as Alan a goes to the right. The Whisper Pokémon keeps going and going. Whismur has ran into Tai and Sora T.
"Davis isn't the best when it comes to picking the directions," Sora T said.
"Yeah, but splitting up to cover more ground was a good idea for Davis," Tai said. He looked at Sora T and he started to blush. "But I'm glad that I got to spend some time with you."
"Yeah, I feel the same way, Tai," Sora T said, blushing. She looked down and spotted Whismur. "Tai, isn't that Alanna's Whismur?"
"What?" Tai asked. He saw Whismur there. "You're right. That is Alanna's Whismur. She must have wondered off again."
"We better find Alanna just so she doesn't worry," Sora T suggested.
"Good idea, Sora. The others might want to help, too," Tai said, looking for their friends.
Over to Alanna, she noticed Whismur wasn't with her.
"Whismur! Whismur!" Alanna called out.
"Alanna!" May called out. She turned to see her new friends.
"What's wrong?" Lisia asked.
"Whismur's disappeared!" Alanna cried.
"What?" Kairi asked.
"Oh no!" Lisia gasped.
"Whismur can't be too far," Max said.
"Yeah, he's right. We should find Whismur and keep moving," Brendan said.
"Okay, let's get started," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"Whismur!" Everyone called out as they looked around. As they looked, Jigglypuff appeared before the team.
"Uh-oh," Sora said, recognizing the Balloon Pokémon.
"Wow, it's a Jigglypuff!" Max exclaimed.
"A Jigglypuff, huh? This I gotta see," Brendan said, taking out his Rotom Phone.
Jigglypuff, the Balloon Pokémon
The evolved form of Igglybuff
Type: Normal/Fairy
Whenever its eyes waver, it sings a mysteriously soothing melody that lulls anything around it to sleep.
"Oh my gosh, it's so adorable!" Lisia cooed with heart-shaped pupils.
"It sure is," May agreed.
"I bet it'll sing for us!" Max said.
"NO!" Sora and Kairi pleaded, but it was too late, because Jigglypuff was singing her signature song. Soon enough, Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Alana, Pikachu, and Angel started to feel sleepy.
"So awesome to hear a Jigglypuff singing," Max said, yawning.
"Tell me about it after I have my nap," Brendan said, falling asleep.
"A nap sounds good about now," Lisia said.
They all fell asleep as Jigglypuff kept singing her song. Jigglypuff stopped singing and saw her audience is fast asleep. Jigglypuff huffed up in anger and doodled on their faces.
When they woke up, May, Lisia, and Alanna laughed at the doodles on their faces as Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel wiped them off their faces.
"What's the big deal? Why did Jigglypuff just do that to us?" Brendan asked.
"Well, the thing is, Kairi and I actually know that Jigglypuff," Sora said.
"You do?" Max asked.
"How do you know her?" Lisia asked.
"Well, Jigglypuff couldn't sing before when we met her until we helped her out. So Jigglypuff starts singing her song, and everybody who hears her singing falls asleep," Kairi explained.
"Jigglypuff thinks that she's a star, so when you fall asleep, she gets all mad about it and, well, you saw the doodles," Sora said.
"I guess Jigglypuff just want us to listen to the whole song," May said.
"That's exactly right," Sora said.
"I was surprised to see her again though. I almost forgot about her," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel nodded.
"But where did Jigglypuff go?" Max asked.
"Probably miles from here by now, looking for an audience to sing for," Sora said.
"Pika, Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Well, with Jigglypuff gone, we should go back to looking for Whismur," Brendan suggested.
"You think Whismur found the way out by now?" Lisia asked.
"I hope so, we might get lucky and find Whismur through the exit," Max said.
"Yeah, but finding the exit's tricky," Sora said.
"It's hopeless. I just know it," May groaned. Max spoke up.
"Wait a second!" Max exclaimed, making everyone look at him. "We've been hitting nothing but dead ends for so long that there's got to be some sort of trick door or something like that right-" Max said as he pushes the wall to reveal a trick door and fell yelling "-here!" He hits the floor. The floor has grass on the inside.
"Way to go, Max!" Brendan said.
They all stepped out of the maze.
"We're finally out!" Kairi said.
"We made it!" May, Lisia, and Alanna exclaimed as the King of Tricks appeared from out of nowhere.
"What's this?! Is it possible that one group has made it out of the maze already? You're amazing! You're the best! I'm impressed!" The King of Tricks said as he cackles like crazy like a madman and then falls of the wall with a thud.
"You know, if he keeps falling like that, he's gonna get hurt," May said.
"And end up having a huge hospital bill," Sora said.
"Naw. He does stuff like that every year," Alanna said.
"It's a miracle those injuries didn't kill him," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The DigiDestined have found a secret door as well. Sora T is still holding Whismur in her arms. Tai and Sora T explained to their friends that they found Whismur wondering around, so they were helping her find Alanna.
"We finally made it," Kari said.
"I thought we were gonna be in there forever," Ken said. Alanna saw them and she became ecstatic.
"You found my Whismur!" Alanna exclaimed as she approached Sora T. "And you're bringing her back to me. That's so sweet!"
"Well, we found her, so we thought we should bring her back to you safe and sound," Tai said.
"Jiggly!" A familiar voice shouted. They all looked to where it came from. They saw Jigglypuff above them. "Jigglypuff!"
"Now check out that cute Jigglypuff on the wall!" The King of Tricks exclaimed. Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Alanna, Pikachu, and Angel flinched when they saw her.
"Hey, a Jigglypuff!" Yolei exclaimed.
"Such a cutie!" Mimi gushed.
"No, not again!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Not what again?" Ken asked.
Jigglypuff started to sing her song again, making everyone all sleepy, except for Whismur.
"I'm getting sleepy," Davis yawned as the two teams all fell asleep. Jigglypuff stopped singing and saw her audience asleep again, so she huffed up in anger again, but she saw Whismur wide awake. Whismur was dancing happily. Jigglypuff danced alongside Whismur before she she doodled on their faces.
Everyone woke up, so May, Lisia, Alanna, and Davis laughed at the doodles on each other's faces, as the rest wipes the marking off their faces.
"Man, that's twice in a row that we had to wash all that marker ink off our faces!" Sora said.
"At least our moms will be happy about us washing our faces," Kairi said. Alanna stopped laughing and looked at Whismur who was the only one who didn't get scribbled on.
"Hey, how come you didn't get your face scribbled on?" Alanna asked.
"Soundproof," Izzy answered. Alanna looked at Izzy with a puzzling expression on her face.
"Soundproof?" Alanna asked.
"Soundproof is an ability that Pokémon like Whismur and Loudred shares which protects them from sound-based moves such as Sing, Supersonic, and Boomburst," Izzy explained.
"So you can listen to Jigglypuff sing and stay wake, right?" Alanna asked.
"Now that we're wide-awake, let's get the show on the road!" Tai said.
"Right, because last time I checked, we were competing," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"What do you think the King of Tricks has planned for us next?" Joe asked.
"I think we're about to find out," Sora T said.
The two teams have made it to a room with a waterfall and logs used as a bridge.
"Okay, are supposed to cross those?" Brendan asked.
"I'm not seeing another way around it, so why not?" Lisia asked. Just when they were about to cross, the King of Tricks appeared again.
"Hi!" The King of Tricks greeted. He crossed halfway on a log and he turned to the two teams. "They key to this long crossing is to chose the log you use carefully, as they might not be as safe as you think! Otherwise..." The log he was standing on broke and he fell down laughing and splashes into the water. "You're going to end up taking a swim! He who picks a foolish path will also take a nasty bath!" He laughs and goes underwater.
"He has some serious thrill issues," Matt said.
"Yeah. But he's fun, right? So let's keep on moving," Alanna said.
The two teams have started to cross the logs, but Sora, Pikachu, Brendan, May, Tai, Mimi, Davis, Yolei, Ken, and Alanna all fell in the water.
"You okay?" Kari asked.
"Yeah, just thought we'd have a swim before we keep going," Davis sarcastically said.
They got out of the water and dried them selves off. Then they headed up for the next room. And they saw some swinging ropes.
"What's this room?" Sora asked.
"That'll be my cue!" The King of Tricks said as he came in once again, alarming the two teams. "The key of the rope crossing is choosing your rope carefully!" He swings on one rope. "If you don't, your rope could stretch out and..." his rope stretches down and he hits a wall. "You and this wall could become very close! Old King Trickster's hit the wall! Ee-aye-ee-aye-oh!" He cackles and then falls in the water.
"I think he's been hit by that rope far too many times," May said.
"I'd say a million times," Sora T said.
"Maybe. Or he's just nuts!" Alanna said.
"Well, let's make like Tarzan and swing it," Sora said. He and Pikachu swings on the rope, but the rope stretched down and he heads the wall.
"Watch out for that-" Everyone all shouted as Sora hits the wall. "Ooh...wall."
"That's gotta hurt," Lisia said.
"He took worse hits than that," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sora shook it off as he used his wall climbing ability.
"Is he running on the wall?" Alanna asked, shocked.
"It's awesome," Davis said. He turned to Kairi. "You gotta teach us that neat trick, Kairi."
"Not something we can just teach," Kairi said, swinging on the rope. May had to put her wall running ability to the test since she learned it from Rei recently. Kairi and May swing their way as they ran up the wall. The rest of Sora and Kairi's team swung their way through, but Brendan fell in the water as did Tai, Izzy, Joe, Mimi, Davis, Yolei, and Ken.
"Oh, not again," Mimi groaned.
They got out of the water and joined up with their teammates, so they got to the next room. The King of Tricks appeared to them once again.
"Your next challenge is my famous rope climb! The object is to climb all the way up and choose the right box! Careful what you choose!" The King of Tricks explained as he climbs one rope up to a blueish green box. "Or it could all go..." The box opens to show a hammer "...to your head!" He gets conked. "Ah! Oh! Ow!" He started to fall. "You goof up this trick, and you'll be hitting the floor real quick!" He hits the floor and shrieks.
"Whoa. That one looked like it might have hurt," May said.
"Yeah, how is he not dead by now?" Joe asked.
"This happens all the time, but he still comes back every year," Alanna said.
"Man, this reminds me of gym class," Matt said.
"Okay, everyone choose a rope," Brendan said, climbing up a rope and heads for a red box. Sora was anxious, but he climbed up the rope and he found the same bluish stone he saw in Granite Cave.
"Better than getting hit on the head," Sora said.
Tai and Davis were conked repeatedly and they fell to the ground with red bumps blazing on their heads.
They made it to the next challenge where they saw several Trainers fall in pitfalls.
"What's this one?" TK asked.
"Glad you asked!" The King of Tricks said, appearing before them again. They yelped in surprise.
"Man, we seriously need to put a bell on you!" Sora said.
"Time for the pit traps! Word of caution, step lightly, or..." The King of Tricks falls in screaming and crashes on the floor below.
"I think he was going to say 'take the fall'," Kairi said.
"He should be in a straight jacket," Joe said.
"Yeah, but the question is, how many can we put on him," Ken said.
"Maybe the King of Tricks is lonely and needs some attention," May guessed.
"Could be. Then he's been lonely for years!" Alanna said.
"Okay, gotta make it through," Sora said as he carefully stepped. He could tell by how soft the ground felt, so he moved his foot away from the soft ground. Kairi does the same thing as Tai and Davis weren't so fortunate, so they fell right in.
They made it out of the pitfall trap section and they headed for the next room.
"That was a blast," Brendan said.
"Yeah, at least it's almost over," Ken said.
They head for the door and they opened it and saw that there was a boy present.
"Took you long enough," the boy said.
"Well, well, well! It looks like you just met the winner of this year's contest!" The King of Tricks said.
"Winner?" The group all said as they felt themselves turning pale.
"All that work work-" Sora paused.
"-just got blown in the wind," Tai finished.
Soon after, everyone who participated in the Trick House Contest have gathered around as the winner is on stage with the King of Tricks. Rei has arrived and she stood with the group.
"This year's super-duper-mega-prize winner in the Trick House is a young man named Ivan who hails from Mauville City!" The King of Tricks turns to Ivan. "Here you go, son. You've earned this!" He gives him the prize proclamation. Everyone all clapped and applauds Ivan.
"Thanks, King of Tricks," Ivan said.
"King of Looneys is more like it," Sora said under his breath.
"So enjoy your prize, Ivan a one-year supply of Pokeblock! And now a tip for the rest of you. Watch out below!" The King of Tricks said as Ivan collapses with the boxes of PokéBlock.
"Wow. Do you think the King might come up with some better jokes next year?" May asked.
"For all our sakes, I hope not," Brendan said.
"This year's were better than last year's!" Alanna said.
"You poor girl," Brendan said.
"Sorry that you didn't win the PokéBlock," May apologized.
"Don't worry about that, May. It was a lot of fun, so I really don't care if I win or lose," Alanna said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," May said.
"I have to say, I'm proud of you for taking it so well, May," Rei said.
"Thank you," May said. She turned to Sora. "Um, Sora, didn't you say that Jigglypuff loves to perform on an empty stage, kind of like this one?"
"Yeah, I di- oh no!" Sora said, realizing what was coming next. Rei was confused.
"What Jigglypuff? What are you talking about?" Rei asked.
Before anyone could answer her, Jigglypuff entered on stage.
"Right on cue," Sora said, shivering.
"Here it comes," Kairi said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Jigglypuff starts singing her song, making everyone all sleepy. Rei yawned.
"Such a cute little song," Rei said, falling asleep.
"Nighty-night," Sora said as he and everyone else fell asleep. The only one awake was Whismur due to Soundproof. Jigglypuff saw everyone sleeping when she stopped singing. Jigglypuff angrily huffed up and scribbled on everyone's faces, one-by-one. She spared Whismur. The Whisper Pokémon laughed at the doodles on their faces.
I guess everyone deserves a little rest after that Trick House Contest. And so, there are more adventures to come, such as Sora's upcoming Gym battle, but Sora has to wake up first. 'Cause when you snooze, you lose!
