Episode 247: Jirachi: Wish Maker Part 1
We open up to a couple of people in a cavern. One is a man and a woman. They stood in front of a huge rock, planted with electrodes. The electrodes gave off red electricity and the rock has exploded. The man rushed over to the rubble and he picked up some sort of purple ore, giving off a strange aura. He knew it was just what he needs.
Where we last left off, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Rei, Pikachu, Angel, and Marill have all arrived to the Mauville City Gym as Brendan decided to challenge Wattson to a battle. They went though Watton's ride again, and they told Wattson it was Brendan who was challenging him this time.
"Why not, Brendan? I can take you up on that challenge, Brendan. Just know that this isn't going to be a walk in the park," Wattson said.
"I don't expect it to be, Wattson. I'm ready for anything you throw at me," Brendan said.
Brendan and Wattson got into position for their battle.
"The battle between the Gym Leader Wattson and the challenger Brendan from Littleroot Town will now begin! Each Trainer will be using three Pokémon! Only the challenger will be allowed to make substitutions! The battle is over when all three of either the challenger's or the Gym Leader's Pokémon are unable to battle! Let the battle begin!" The referee announced. Wattson took out his three Pokéballs and threw them.
"Come out, Magnemite, Voltorb, and Magneton!" Wattson called out. His three Pokémon came out all at once. "My first Pokémon will be Magnemite." Magnemite moved forward as Brendan took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Geodude!" Brendan called out. His Pokéball opened and his Geodude came out to battle.
"Magnemite! Use Magnet Bomb!" Wattson ordered. Magnemite fired a Magnet Bomb right at Geodude to land a hit.
"Dodge and use Power-Up Punch!" Brendan ordered. Geodude dodged Magnemite's attack and lands a strong punch onto Magnemite. Geodude's attack power goes up.
"What a way to start things up. Power-Up Punch builds up attack power whenever it lands a hit," Max said.
"Magnemite! Use Magnet Bomb again!" Wattson ordered. Magnemite fired another Magnet Bomb right at Geodude.
"Dodge and use another Power-Up Punch!" Brendan ordered. Geodude dodged and lands another punch, dealing some heavy damage, and knocking out Magnemite.
"Magnemite is unable to battle! Geodude wins!" The referee announced.
"Wow, that was quick," Sora said.
"It was because of Geodude's Power-Up Punch. That's why Geodude's attack was so strong," Max said.
"Good work, Geodude!" Brendan said, praising the Rock Pokémon. Wattson called his Magnemite back and he looked right at Voltorb. "Your turn now, Voltorb." Voltorb rolled right on the battlefield, ready to battle. "Voltorb! Use Rollout!" Voltorb starts to roll right at Geodude.
"Okay, Geodude! Use Rollout!" Brendan ordered. Geodude brings its arms close and rolls right at Voltorb. Both Pokémon clashed right at each other as they rolled into each other. Due to Geodude's Power-Up Punch used twice, Geodude overpowers Voltorb and took it out with just one hit.
"Voltorb is unable to battle! Geodude wins!" The referee announced.
"Two in a row!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Dude!" Geodude said as it smiled.
"Yeah, Brendan's on fire!" May cheered for her crush.
"Well, now Wattson's down to one left," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Well, I am impressed. Your Geodude's pretty tough, but I have one more ace up my sleeve!" Wattson said as he called back his Voltorb and his Magneton entered the battlefield.
"I knew he was saving Magneton for last," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Yeah. Magnemite and Voltorb were nothing to sneeze at when Sora battled him yesterday, so that Magneton is stronger than the both of them," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Alright, Magneton! Use Flash Cannon!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired Flash Cannon right at Geodude.
"Dodge it! Quick!" Brendan called out. Geodude used Rollout to dodge, but Magneton's attack came too fast for Geodude to dodge, so it was knocked out.
"Geodude is unable to battle! Magneton wins!" The referee announced. Brendan called back his Geodude and he smiled.
"You were awesome, Geodude. You deserve a good rest," Brendan said as he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "You're up now, Phanpy!" His Pokéball opened and a Phanpy came out, ready to battle. May started to gush over how cute Phanpy looked.
"Brendan's caught himself such a cute little Pokémon," May said, taking out her Rotom Phone and scanned her crush's Pokémon.
Phanpy, the Long Nose Pokémon
Type: Ground
Despite its small size, Phanpy is such a strong Pokémon. It swings its trunk so hard, it can break a human's arm without even trying.
"Cute, but dangerous," May said.
"And that's why people says not to judge a book by its cover. Especially if it's a cute cover," Rei said.
"Ah, so it's another Ground-type, is it? Will it be enough?" Wattson asked.
"You're about to find out, Wattson. Okay, Phanpy! Use High Horsepower!" Brendan ordered. Phanpy's body became surrounded by an orange aura and charges right at the Magnet Pokémon.
"Magneton! Use Flash Cannon!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired Flash Cannon, but Phanpy was running too fast for Magneton to land a hit, so Phanpy has landed a successful hit and it deals some heavy damage.
"That was great, Phanpy!" Brendan praised.
"Phanpy, Phan!" Phanpy trumpeted. Wattson just laughed.
"Not too shabby, but it's not over yet! Magneton! Use Magnet Bomb!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired Magnet Bomb right at the little elephant Pokémon.
"Use Slam!" Brendan ordered. Phanpy uses its trunk to swing its trunk and reflects Magneton's Magnet Bomb. Wattson just laughed.
"Dodge!" Wattson called out. Magneton dodged its own attack just by floating upwards. This surprised Brendan.
"Uh-oh," Brendan said.
"Use Flash Cannon!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired Flash Cannon and lands a hit onto Phanpy. The Long Nose Pokémon was knocked out from the attack.
"Phanpy is unable to battle! Magneton wins!" The referee announced. Brendan called his Phanpy back and he took out his third Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Treecko!" Brendan called out. Treecko came out, ready to battle.
"That should do it. Treecko's a Grass-type, so Electric-type moves won't do much damage to him," Kris said.
"Yeah, but Treecko's Grass-type moves won't do much damage on Magneton's body since being a Steel-type," Ash said.
"Alright, Magneton! Use Shock Wave!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired a stream of light blue electricity at Treecko, landing a hit. "Use Magnet Bomb!" Magneton fired Magnet Bomb and sends Treecko flying.
"Treecko!" Brendan exclaimed as Treecko lands on the ground, after being dealt some heavy damage. "Stand up, Treecko!" Treecko managed to get on his feet and stare right at Magneton. Treecko then started to evolve.
"What's going on?" Lisia asked.
"Treecko's evolving, that's what!" Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
Treecko has become a bipedal Pokémon similar in appearance to a theropod dinosaur. He is primarily green with a red underside. There is a belt-like green stripe across his belly. The newly evolved Pokémon's hands have two clawed fingers and powerful legs with birdlike feet. He has three long leaves on its wrists, a large leaf on top of his head, and two tails that have a leafy appearance.
"Whoa! Treecko has evolved into a Grovyle!" Max exclaimed.
"Gorvyle, huh?" Sora asked, taking out his Rotom Phone and scanned it.

Type: Grass
This Pokémon adeptly flies from branch to branch in trees. In a forest, no Pokémon can ever hope to catch a fleeing Grovyle however fast they may be.
"So that's Treecko's evolved form," Sora said, putting his Rotom Phone away. Wattson laughed.
"I wasn't expecting a sudden evolution, but this should be interesting! Magneton! Use Shock Wave!" Wattson ordered. Magneton unleashed Shock Wave right at Grovyle, but the newly evolved Wood Gecko Pokémon raises his arm and the leaves gave off a light green glow and uses it to reflect the attack.
"Hey, that's Fury Cutter! Grovyle must have learned it just by evolving. And if my dad told me right, Fury Cutter gets stronger each time it hits. Grovyle! Use Fury Cutter!" Brendan ordered. Grovyle heads right towards Magneton and lands a slash onto Magneton.
"Magneton! Use Magnet Bomb!" Wattson ordered. Magneton fired another Magnet Bomb right at Grovyle.
"Dodge it, Grovyle!" Brendan called out. Grovyle manages to avoid Magneton's Magnet Bomb before it could land a hit. "Use Fury Cutter again!" Grovyle swings his arm at Magneton with another Fury Cutter, dealing a stronger hit than the last one.
"Grovyle's Fury Cutter has dealt some more damage than the first one that hit," Lyra said.
"Fury Cutter gets stronger each time it's used. It's the same deal as Rollout," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Grovyle! Use Fury Cutter one more time!" Brendan ordered. Grovyle heads right towards Magneton with another Fury Cutter.
"Magneton! Use Thunderbolt!" Wattson ordered. Magneton attempts to fire Thunderbolt right at Grovyle, but the Wood Gecko Pokémon lands a hit, dealing some damage onto Magneton, dealing some heavy damage. Magneton was knocked out.
"Magneton is unable to battle! Grovyle wins! The winner is Brendan from Littleroot Town!" The referee announced.
"Way to go, Brendan!" Sora said.
"Great job!" Ethan said. Wattson laughed as he called his Magneton and approached Brendan.
"You sure gave me a run for my money. And I thought Sora was a fun opponent, but you're right up there with him," Wattson said as he laughed. "So here's the proof that you beat me here. The Dynamo Badge." He took out the Dynamo Badge for Brendan. He accepts it and smiled.
"Thanks, Wattson," Brendan said.
"No, thank you. And as a happy bonus for the both of you, I should tell you that the next Gym you should check out is in Lavaridge Town," Wattson said.
After his battle, Brendan had his three Pokémon healed from their injuries and they set off for their next adventure.
Just when they were taking off, Rei was taking her leave of the group for a while.
"You sure you're not sticking with us, Master?" May asked.
"I'm sure. I should check up on Riku and Naminé, but I'll be checking up on you as well, my apprentices," Rei said.
"We understand," Kris said.
"Just watch your backs while you're out there. Keep your eyes opened for Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, the Organization, and Vanitas," Rei said.
"We will," Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and May said.
"We'll do the same thing," Brendan said.
"Take care of yourself, Miss Rei," Lisia said.
"You do the same. Good luck and don't neglect your training," Rei said.
"We won't," Sora said.
With that said, Rei took off to find Riku and Namine.
Shortly after taking their leave from Mauville City, Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, and Marill are walking through a mountain range as a Bagon jumped off a ledge and lands on a boulder, shattering it into pieces.
"Look at that. A Bagon," Max said.
"It's not unusual to see a Bagon trying to fly," Ash said.
"Well, I could use a Pokémon like that," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "You're going in, Barboach!" His Pokeball opened and Barboach came out, ready to battle against Bagon. The Rock Head Pokémon saw the Whiskers Pokémon and charges right at Barboach. "Use Mud-Slap!" Barboach hurls Mud-Slap at Bagon, blinding it.
"That should cut his accuracy!" Kairi said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Barboach! Use Magnitude!" Sora ordered. Barboach slammed on the ground as Bagon loses his balance and fell backwards. Barboach's Magnitude was a 5, so Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Bagon flowed inside the Pokéball when it struck him. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Bagon with him. He chose to keep Bagon in exchange for Nincada. "Good work, Barboach." Barboach beamed from Sora's praise. Barboach remembered how his old Trainer praised him, which was little.
"You little weakling! How can you lose?! If you lose one more time, then you're gone!" The Trainer's voice echoed. Barboach shook the memory out of his head.
"Hey, Barboach, you okay?" Sora asked. Barboach looked up to Sora and he picked the Whiskers Pokémon up and he smiled. "You were awesome and you will be to me." Barboach beamed some more with tears of happiness flowed from his eyes. Just before Sora could call Barboach back inside his Pokéball, something started to dig out from underground.
"Look at that!" Leaf said.
"It's a Trapinch," Brendan said.
"Let's see if you still got one in the tank, Barboach," Sora said.
"Boach!" Barboach said.
"I thought you would, Barboach! Use Water Gun!" Sora ordered. Barboach fired Water Gun right at the Ant Pit Pokémon, landing a hit. Trapinch then responds by using a Feint Attack, landing a hit onto Barboach. "Okay, Barboach! Water Gun! Make it your strongest one!" Barboach unleashed Water Gun, hitting Trapinch on the mark. Trapinch was down and out. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. Trapinch flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Sora's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Trapinch with him. He chose to keep Trapinch in exchange for Makuhita. "Great job, Barboach." Barboach beamed. Sora took out Barboach's Pokéball. "Here, have yourself a good rest." He called Barboach to rest up.
Unknown to the group, a wild Cacnea was watching them; particularly Sora. The cactus-like Pokémon was watching at awe at how close he was close to his Pokémon. Just when the group has started to take off, Cacnea started to follow them. Xipak and Celeste were following them from a different place as were Wes and Rui.
A little later, Kris has gotten a notification on her Rotom Phone and she smiled.
"Everyone, check this out!" Kris said holding her Rotom Phone just so they could all see.
"What's up?" Ash asked.
"Well, there's a comet that comes by earth once every thousand years. It's called the Millennium Comet, and we're right close to where a festival that's gonna take place," Kris said.
"Millennium Comet?" Leaf asked.
"I heard of that. It's a comet that is said to pass by the planet once every thousand years. And that's how it earned its name," Brendan said.
"So cool!" Ash said.
"Okay, we now know the location, but when is it gonna appear?" Sora asked.
"According to my calculations, the the comet should be visible in the twenty-three hours and forty-two minutes," Max said.
"Know-it-all," May scoffed.
"I have always wanted to see it ever since I was little! Now that it's coming, I can hardly wait," Lisia said.
"I feel the same way, Lisia. How about you, Marill?" Lyra asked.
"Marill, Marill, Marill!" Marill nodded.
"Well, we should check it out for ourselves," Ethan said.
"You've said it, Ethan! Last one there is a Slowpoke!" Brendan said as he ran up ahead.
"Max, you're a Slowbro!" May taunted.
"Very funny, sis!" Max said, running after her.
"We better hurry up before Sora becomes a Slowking!" Kairi joked.
"Not unless I get there first!" Sora said, running. The rest of the group started to run.
Not too far away, Takato, Henry, Rika, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Guil, and a pair of kids are walking in the same area as Sora and his friends.
One is a little girl with lightly tanned skin, dark purple hair pulled to the sides in two small pigtails, and dark purple eyes. She wore a white T-shirt under a pink cheongsam-style vest with yellow trimmings, dark purple shorts, white socks and yellow shoes with white laces and soles.
And the other has the appearance of an average young boy. He has lightly tanned skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. He wears white shoes with red accents, olive green pants, dark gray leggings, a blue-gray shirt, and ties a red bandanna around his collar. He also wears a metal shoulder guard on his right shoulder, a chrome and red gauntlet on his right forearm, and a beige glove on his left hand.
"Henry, you sure the festival is gonna take place around here?" Rika asked.
"I'm sure. They don't call it the Millennium Comet for nothing. It comes by once every thousand years, and we made it here to witness it," Henry said.
"And we're lucky that we get to see it. Too bad our Digimon couldn't see it," Kenta said.
"Why bring that up?" Takato asked.
"I just miss MarineAngemon, that's all," Kenta said.
"I know what you mean. The gate between the two worlds are closed, and we know it won't be easy to open, but we gotta carry on with our lives," the boy said.
"Ryo's right. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss Guilmon when I do," Takato said.
"Meleon," Guil said.
"But I know Guilmon and Guil will get along so well. Right, boy?" Takato asked, petting Guil on the head.
"Charmeleon!" Guil happily agreed.
"Awe we there yet, Henwy? I'm getting tiwed," the little girl said as she yawned.
"I'm tired, too, Suzie, but I promise it'll be worth it, because we're almost there," Henry said.
"Yay," Suzie said.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, and Marill, they were coming close to the valley where the festival is taking place.
"We're almost there," Sora said.
The two groups have made it to the valley, only to see nothing there.
"Wha?" Sora and Takato asked.
"Nobody's here," Kairi said.
Takato's group turned to see Sora's group and they smiled.
"Takato!" Sora said.
"Sora!" Takato said.
"Hi, everyone!" Jeri greeted.
"Hey, it's been a while," Sora said.
"It sure has," Henry said.
"Who are they?" Brendan asked.
"Yeah, do you know them?" May asked.
"We do. We met them back on the Whirl Islands in the Johto region. They actually live in Saffron City in the Kanto region," Sora explained.
"I don't think we met. I'm Ethan," Ethan introduced himself.
"My name's Kris," Kris introduced herself.
"My name's Lyra, and this is Marill," Lyra introduced.
"Marill, Marill," Marill greeted.
"I'm Brendan," Brendan introduced.
"My name's May, and this is my little brother Max," May introduced.
"And I'm Lisia," Lisia finished.
"Good to meet you. I'm Takato Matsuki, and this is Guil," Takato introduced.
"I'm Henry Wong, and this is Suzie, my little sister," Henry introduced.
"Hi," Suzie greeted.
"Rika Nonoaka," Rika introduced.
"I'm Jeri Katou," Jeri introduced.
"I'm Kazu Shioda," Kazu introduced.
"I'm Kenta Kitagawa," Kenta introduced.
"And I'm Ryo Akiyama," Ryo introduced. He looked over to Sora. "And I know you. You're Sora Ketchum, aren't you?"
"Um, yeah," Sora said.
"Great, because I've been looking forward to meet you for a while now," Ryo said.
"Thanks. I'm flattered," Sora said.
"Are you guys here for the festival, too?" Jeri asked.
"Yeah, and it looks like it's not here," Lyra said.
"We could be early," Lisia said.
"So Ethan, Kris, Lyra, you guys are Keyblade wielders, too?" Kazu asked.
"Kazu!" Takato, Rika, and Henry all said.
"It's okay. It's true," Ash said.
"We do have Keyblades of our own," Lyra said.
Ethan, Kris, and Lyra summoned their Keyblades, showing them.
"So those are Keyblades. You guys weren't kidding," Ryo said.
"Yeah, the ones we told you about," Takato said.
"What have you been up to?" Jeri asked.
"Okay, if you must know, we did some traveling throughout Johto after we left Olivine City. We had some adventures together after that and then Sakura left on her own journey," Sora explained.
"I can tell you, we had some adventures which involved some dinosaurs. We met up with three others named Max Taylor, Zoe Drake, and Rex Owen when Heartless attacked. The Heartless attack was planned out by Organization XIII and a guy named Serh. He would have succeeded if Sora, Kairi, and those other three didn't destroy him. Sora and Ethan won their battles against the Blackthorn City Gym Leader and we then learned that there could be other Keyblade wielders out there, but we just have to keep our eyes opened for them," Ash said.
"We then arrived to my house in New Bark Town, so we met a woman named Rei Sakura who is also a Keyblade wielder like us, and she's teaching us the ways of the Keyblade," Ethan said.
"Rei Sakura?" Takato asked.
"She was Sora's dad's apprentice. She decided to take us under her wing and learn what we can from her," Kairi said.
"Ethan, Lyra, and Kris came with us to Kanto just so she can teach them, and that was when we learned about creatures called the Unversed," Leaf said.
"The Unversed?" Henry asked.
"The Unversed are horrid monsters that are born from negative feelings. We also learned about a masked boy named Vanitas who happens to be connected to the Unversed," Kris said.
"Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Master Rei, and I met Vanitas back in Slateport City when he attacked. It turns out he has a Keyblade, too, and he was tough," Lyra said.
"He has a Keyblade?" Takato asked.
"Yeah, but he uses his for darkness as we use ours for light. He even mentioned some other Keyblade wielders, but we have no idea who he was talking about," Sora said.
"Sora is taking part of the Gym challenges and the Battle Frontier here in the Hoenn region as Kairi is participating in Pokémon Contests," Brendan said. "I'm also doing the Gym challenges, too."
"I'm also participating in Contests," May finally spoke up.
"Also, I started to travel with them," Lisia said.
"And there's one more thing," May said as she held her hand out and summoned her Keyblade, making Takato's group almost jump.
"May, is that a Keyblade?" Rika asked.
"Yeah, it is. So I became Rei Sakura's apprentice, too," May said, dismissing her Keyblade.
"Well, we thought you also know that there are some other bad guys to worry about, too. There's Team Magma and Team Aqua. They're not as bad as the Organization or Vanitas, but they're still pretty bad, and they're planning something huge," Sora said.
"Team Magma and Team Aqua. They sound just as bad as Team Rocket," Takato said.
"Char," Guil said.
"Well, since we've caught up, we should get some sleep since the festival isn't starting yet anyway," Sora said.
"I could use some sleep," Kazu said.
"We had quite a journey," Henry said. He looked at his sister sleeping on his lap. "And Suzie has the right idea."
"She's not the only one. My feet hurt and I'm sleepy," May said.
"Let's get some sleep," Kairi said.
With that said, the group unrolled their sleeping bags and fell asleep. As they slept, the sounds of engines can heard. They wake up Pikachu, Angel, and Marill. Everyone all woke up and saw several trucks driving up and they saw all sorts of rides arriving. The games were being set up as well.
Driving up are two other trucks. Steeping out is a man with light purple hair and vridian eyes. He wore a light blue tuxedo with a gray vest, white gloves, and white shoes. He took out a red cloth which turns into a wand. He taps it twice and a pink balloon comes out of it. Another came out, so the balloons are bouncing towards a woman with blonde hair and indigo eyes. She is wearing a red dress and black gloves. She wore red boots with black leggings. She held red hand fans and used them to smack the balloons. The balloons bounced into each other, forming a circle. The balloons explodes in white smoke, forming wooden crates which starts building on their own, building a balloon dome. The rest of the festivities were set up as a train was arriving on the scene.
The group started to take advantage of the festivities once it was done. They were driving in the bumper cars, so Max bumped Brendan as Rika bumps Kazu and Kenta repeatedly.
"This isn't fun!" Kazu and Kenta exclaimed.
After the bumper cars, they saw some clowns throwing some posters around, so Sora catches one.
"Hey, check this out," Sora said.
"A magic show?" Ash asked.
"It looks loads of fun!" Lisia said.
"I wanna see it, Henwy! Please?" Suzie pleaded.
"Okay, Suzie, we can all go," Henry said.
"Well, we're all checking it out," Takato said.
With that said, the group watches in amazement as the man from before is the magician for the show. He took off his top hat and tapped it twice as a small flock of Swablu came flying out of it. A couple of clowns pushes a table next to the magician and they danced right off the stage. He takes the hat to reveal a Kirlia underneath the hat. A Mightyena came to his side and it takes the hat. Kirlia is placed inside a capsule as his wand turns into a red cloth and places it over the capsule. Everyone were at awe as they watched. The magician took out his wand and ignites it. The red cloth catches fire and a pink smoke erupts from all around it, reveal the woman from earlier. She is holding the ore in her hands. She held it up as the audience applauds. The ore was giving off a bright shining light.
"What a trick!" Kris said, clapping her hands.
"Wish. The star," a child-like voice spoke. The audience continues to applaud as the magician helps his assistant down.
"You're all too kind. To me, the real magic is when I hear your applauds. Thank you very much! I am known as the Great Butler!" The magician said, taking a bow as the audience applauds him. "And this is my assistant, Diane!" She bows her head. "I couldn't do the show without Mightyena." Mightyena howled. "And Kirlia!" Kirlia came out from under the hat. Kirlia tossed the hat onto Mightyena's head. Everyone kept on clapping.
"Wish maker. The Comet," the voice said.
"The comet?" Max asked. He looked up to the ceiling and he didn't see anything. He looked at the stage. "Where are you?"
"I wish you were here with me," the voice said.
"You're in there?" Max asked as he stood. This catches Sora's attention.
"Max, come back here," Sora said.
"What is he doing?" Rika asked.
"I'll get him," Sora said, running after him with Pikachu on his shoulder. Max ran up on stage. Butler and Diane noticed him.
"Hey, you need to get back in your seat," Diane said.
"Sorry, I thought I heard a voice, coming in that," Max said. Butler and Diane looked at each other and nodded to each other. Sora caught up to Max.
"Max!" Sora called out, making them notice him. "Sorry about my friend here." He leaned over to Max. "What's gotten into you?"
"Ladies and gentlemen, it seems we have volunteers to help us with our next trick! Gentlemen, you must be in show business because your timing is impeccable!" Butler said.
"Wait a sec-" Sora paused, unable to finish his sentence. Diane leaned forward.
"Fellow magicians, what are your names?" Diane asked.
"My name's Sora," Sora answered.
"I'm Max the Great," Max added.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Let's do it!" Butler exclaimed as the same clowns came in, pushing a box forward. "Since you're obviously magicians, feast your eyes on Butler's Burning Box! You must simply escape the box before it bursts into flames!"
"Burning box?" Sora asked, not sure if he should go along with it.
"That's your cue," Diane whispered.
"But Diane, we're not really magicians," Max said.
"Don't worry, boyos. Nothing's gonna happen to ya," one the clowns whispered.
"In you go, boychicks," the other clown said.
"It's not fair that Sora and Max get to be in the show, and I don't!" May pouted.
"Nothing we can do about it at this point," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
The clowns closed the box, sealing them in. The clowns lightly spins the box around.
"Dusclops! Step forward!" Butler called out. Walking on the stage is a Pokémon with a roundish gray body with two stubby legs. Its body is hollow and wrapped in bandages. It has a single red eye and three tooth-like projections. It has two wispy, light gray growths coming out of its shoulders and one on top of its head. Its light gray hands appear to be directly attached to its body. "Real magicians like Sora and Max should have no trouble easily escaping from a box like this! So to make it interesting, they only have ten seconds to escape before Dusclops destroys the box with his Hyper Beam! 10, 9, 8, 7,6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Dusclops! Hyper Beam!" Dusclops fired Hyper Beam while inside the box, Sora and Max get out through the trap door beneath them. The explosion of boxes sends out bouquets of yellow flowers rain down. "Not only did they escape from the box just in time, but they made bouquets of flowers appear as well! Let's thank Sora, Pikachu, and Max the Great!" Sora and Max makes it to the back of the audience as the audience appeared. The spotlights shines down on Sora, Max, and Pikachu as they stood there.
"Max, just smile and wave," Sora whispered.
"Okay," Max whispered back.
Max took Sora's advice as a bouquet lands in Sora's hand. He saw Kairi looking at her boyfriend, so he gave the flowers to her. Kairi just smiled over how sweet it was.
"Ladies and gentlemen, a round of applause for Sora, Max the Great, and Pikachu!" Butler announced as the audience applauds them for that performance.
After the show has concluded, the rest of the group came down to Sora, Max, and Pikachu.
"Hey, guys," Sora said.
"Looks like you guys had a great time," Henry said.
"Well, as they say: the show must go on," Sora said.
"I couldn't have said it better myself," Butler said.
"So you kids know these two?" Diane asked.
"Yeah. Max is my little brother," May said.
"And we'resort of traveling together," Ash said.
"Anyway, my name's Kairi, and this is Angel right here," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Ash."
"My name's Leaf."
"I'm Ethan."
"I'm Kris."
"I'm Lyra, and this is Marill."
"Marill," Marill said.
"My name's Brendan."
"I'm May."
"My name's Lisia."
"My name's Takato, and this is Guil."
"Charmeleon, Char," Guil said.
"My name's Henry and this is my little sister, Suzie."
"Hello," Suzie greeted.
"Rika."
"I'm Jeri."
"My name's Kazu."
"I'm Kenta."
"And I'm Ryo."
"A pleasure. My name's Butler," Butler introduced himself.
"And I'm Diane," Diane introduced herself. She looked right at Max. "Now, Max, you said you heard a voice, right?" Everyone were surprised to hear what Diane just said.
"A voice?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah. It was coming from that rock," Max said, pointing to it.
"It's not an ordinary rock. It's a meteorite," Butler said.
"Yes. The meteorite actually contains a Pokémon. Jirachi," Butler said.
"Jirachi?" Kairi asked.
"Wait, you mean Jirachi, the mythical Pokémon that's said to grant wishes?" Ryo asked.
"That will be correct, Ryo," Butler confirmed. "And it is said that Jirachi appears once every thousand years. And it is sleeping right inside this meteorite."
"I gotta look into this," Sora said.
Sora took out his Rotom Phone to get information on Jirachi. It is a small, white, humanoid Pokémon. It has short, stubby legs and comparatively longer arms. There are flaps on the underside of its arms, which give the impression of long sleeves. On its belly is a curved seam, which conceals a third eye, known as its "true" eye. Additionally, the Pokémon has a normal pair of ovalish eyes on its face, with small, blue triangular markings underneath. On its head is a large, yellow structure with three points extending outward: one from the top and one on either side. On each point is a teal tag, known as a "wish tag". A rounded extension hangs from either side of the yellow structure, framing its face. Two yellow streamers flow from its back, resembling comet tails.
Jirachi, the Wish Pokémon
Type: Steel/Psychic
A legend states that Jirachi will make true any wish that is written on notes attached to its head when it awakens. If this Pokémon senses danger, it will fight without awakening.
"So the voice Max heard was-?" Ash asked.
"Yes. It is said for Jirachi to awaken from its slumber, it needs but two things to happen. The Millennium Comet must be visible in the night sky, and Jirachi must find itself a friend," Butler explained.
"It needs a friend?" Max asked.
"That must be why Max was able to hear Jirachi," May said.
"And it's not a coincidence that the Millennium Comet is just tonight," Brendan said.
"Well, Max hears things and makes friends with a rock," May teased.
"Hey, just because you were chosen by a Keyblade doesn't mean you're better than I am!" Max argued.
"Break it up, you two," Sora said. He looked right at Butler.
"So since Jirachi spoke with you, it's only fair you hold on to Jirachi," Butler said, handing the meteorite to Max.
"Thanks, Butler," Max said, taking the meteorite.
Moments later, the group started to make their time at the festival as May spotted something of great interest to her. It looks like a star with seven points.
"Wow, look at this," May said, getting their attention.
"You have excellent taste, young lady, that's a Wishing Star," the vendor said.
"A Wishing Star?" May asked.
"It works with the Millennium Comet. On each of the seven nights that the Comet appears, all you got to do is fold down one of the sections and make a wish," the vendor explained. She got a closer look and she noticed the number of stars on each section. "If you do it all seven nights, then your wish will come true."
"Wow! I'll take it!" May exclaimed.
"A wise choice, but you only get one wish, so make it count," the vendor said. Fireworks start going off. The fireworks started to take the shape of diiferent Pokémon. "Whoa, would you look at that? It won't be long before the Comet appears."
"Do you see that, Jirachi? Fireworks!" Max exclaimed.
"We better find a good spot," Jeri said.
"I'm with her. Let's go," Kris said.
As they found a good spot, they see clouds appearing in the night sky.
"Man, it's getting cloudy," Ethan said.
"It's going to be hard for us to see the Millennium Comet tonight," Sora said.
"No, fair," May pouted.
"You and I are going to be best friends, Jirachi," Max said, holding the meteorite. Some of the older kids smiled. The lights go off just to make it easy to see it. The clouds moves through the sky, so the group were awestruck as a the Comet was being visible fore their very eyes.
"Look!" Suzie said.
"The Millennium Comet!" Lyra said.
"Right on schedule," Ash said.
"It's beautiful," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I better make my wish," May said, taking out her Wishing Star and folds a section forward.
"Once every thousand years," Takato said.
"How lucky can we be?" Leaf asked.
"Pretty lucky," May added.
"I can't help but wonder how things look from up there. I mean, a lot of things can change after a thousand years," Henry said.
"Probably the same as ever," Rika said.
"Don't be such a stick-in-the-mud, Rika. It's an amazing thing to see, and you know how awesome it is to see it," Takato said.
"Charmeleon," Guil said.
"I guess," Rika said.
May looked down to Max and sees him sleeping.
"Goodnight, Max," May said, gently rubbing his head.
"Mommy," Max said in his sleep. May just smiled and she just sang a soothing song to her brother. Everyone were looking at her.
"That's such a pretty song," Kris said.
"It's a lullaby our mom always sang for us since Max and I were just babies," May said. May kept on singing the lullaby for Max until the meteorite starts shining. It woke up Max.
"What the heck?!" Kazu exclaimed.
"The Star! The Star is calling me!" The voice said.
"Did you guys just hear that?!" Brendan asked.
"I heard it loud and clear," Ethan said.
"Is that Jirachi's voice?" May asked.
"How is it talking?" Rika asked.
"It's using telepathy," Henry said.
Meanwhile, over to a cavern where the meteorite was first discovered, standing on a ledge is a quadrupedal, mammalian Pokémon with a primarily white body with some dark blue coloration. It has a ruff around its neck and chest and a tuft on the top of its head adorned with a single blue-black oval. Between the dark fur, the curvature of the white fur on its head, and the positioning of its horn, its face vaguely resembles a wu wei symbol. It has a feline face with almond-shaped, red eyes, a scythe-like tail, and a scythe-shaped horn on the side of its head. Its broad feet are equipped with three claws each, and dewclaw-like spikes protrude from the heels of its hind legs and the elbows of its front legs. This Pokémon is known as Absol. Absol starts to leap towards to where the meteorite was taken.
Back to the group, they watched in awe as the meteorite floats up in the air and gave off another shining glow. The meteorite has taken the form of Jirachi. It has its streamers wrapped around it like a baby. The streamers unwrapped Jirachi as Max gently catches the Wish Pokémon. Jirachi opened its eyes and looked at the group.
"Jirachi," Max said.
"So it's true," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Jirachi is really cute, don't you think?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Hi, I'm Max," Max introduced himself.
"Hello, Max," Jirachi said through telepathy.
"I'm Sora, and this is Pikachu," Sora introduced.
"Pika," Pikachu greeted.
"My name's Kairi, and this is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee, vee," Angel greeted.
"Hello, Sora, Pikachu, Kairi, Angel," Jirachi greeted back.
"I'm Ash."
"I'm Leaf."
"I'm Ethan."
"My name's Kris."
"My name's Lyra, and this is Marill," Lyra introduced.
"I'm Brendan."
"I'm May."
"I'm Lisia."
"My name's Takato, and this is Guil," Takato introduced.
"Char," Guil greeted.
"I'm Henry, and this is Suzie."
"Hi, Jiwachi," Suzie greeted.
"Rika."
"My name's Jeri."
"I'm Kazu."
"I'm Kenta."
"And I'm Ryo."
"Hello, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Marill, Brendan, May, Lisia, Takato, Guil, Henry, Suzie, Rika, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, Ryo," Jirachi greeted.
Diane came up running and she stopped in her tracks. She wore a red jacket over a black top, gray shorts, a platinum belt with circles, black laceless boots, and a black and red bandana.
"Diane, it's Jirachi! It woke up!" Max said.
"I'll go tell Butler the good news. Meanwhile, you can camp out in our bus tonight!" Diane offered.
"Thanks, that's kind of you," Lisia said.
Over to Butler, the dome opened up as Diane approached Butler.
"It was true," Diane said.
"I knew it! Jirachi will be the star of our greatest show!" Butler said as several machines came from the trapdoors. "I waited forever for this day."
