Chapter 9
A month has pass since the Dumbledore's Army first lesson of the second semester from then on. They have been training and training going over spells and being more proficient with them, ever since the Azkaban breakout that happened the night before. In addition, the Dumbledore's Army began to learn hand to hand combat from Cho who learned how to defend herself without a wand at an early age. At first, they were not that good, the only exception was Ginny since she wrestled with her brothers when she was young. Soon all the Dumbledore's Army members got the hang of fighting without their wands as well.
With Cho is teaching The Dumbledore's Army martial arts, her confidence grew, and she has gained more friends like Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Fred, George, Neville, Lavender Brown, the Patil twins, Susan Bones, Hannah Abbot, and Luna. Especially Hermione and Ron since those two had been friends with Harry when both him and Ron saved Hermione from the Troll in their first year. What Cho really liked about the Golden Trio's friendship is that Ron and Hermione keep Harry grounded, particularly during these times when the Ministry of Magic paints him as a liar when clearly, he is not. Also, both Ron and Hermione are like family to Harry as well as the rest of the Weasley Family, Sirius Black, Hagrid, and Remus Lupin since he was raised by his abusive aunt and uncle who forbid him from having friends.
In addition, Cho is beginning to realize she doesn't need Marietta anymore as well as learning that having friends is not just hanging out but looking out for one another. Cho learns this by being around Harry, Ron and Hermione also Luna and Ginny. However, Cho still wishes that Marietta would come to another meeting and see and her progression. As well as see Harry and his friends for what they really are not what bullies like Malfoy and Rita Skeeter think they are.
On a cold late Sunday afternoon of February 04, 1996, Cho makes her way through the Ravenclaw Common to the sixth year Ravenclaw girls' dormitory, after an intense Quidditch Practice session for next game against Slytherin which is in a month from now, Rodger Davies was sitting down on the couch, he sees Cho and before she opens the door to her dormitory he says, "Hey Cho."
Cho turns around and greets back "Oh hey Rodger what's up."
"Nothing just um is you free next week on Valentine's Day?" Rodger asked as gets up from the couch.
"What for Rodger?" Cho huffed knowing that he is going to ask her out
"Do you want to go to Madam Puddifoots Tea shop with me?" He spoke.
"No, I don't want to go there again Rodger." Cho declined Rodger's offer.
"Why not? Is it the overly sweet tea? Or the Pink Ambiance? Which is it? Cho." Rodger said
"It's – look Rodger just because my boyfriend died eight months ago that doesn't mean I'm on the dating market again." Cho snapped
"But Cho have you been hearing what people are saying about you?" Rodger said trying to get Cho to take his side of the argument.
"Like I'd care what people are saying about me." Cho hissed "Who is babbling about this rubbish anyway?"
"It's your dormmates Pamela, Amanda, and Daisy they have been saying that you have been licking Potter and Granger's boots for the past five months now." Rodger told her
"I'm not surprised at this I knew those arrogant arse bitches would say some shit like that behind my back but whatever" Cho snorted "They only became my friends ever since I got into the Ravenclaw Quidditch team in my third year."
"Which I gave you a shot in and then we had a party in here and you gave me something in return that night." Rodger reminisced
"So, who cares about that, and you called it off six weeks later anyway if you don't mind, I like to go upstairs to my dormitory." Cho snapped
"But Cho I think you should rethink this-"
"What she already made her mind mate, no need to push her into something that she doesn't want to do now don't we." Michael interrupted as he walked in the Ravenclaw Common Room.
"What do you want Corner this is a conversation between us Quidditch Players" Rodger snarled at Michael.
"Oh, I'm sorry for butting into a discussion about dodging bludgers not trying to revive a relationship that you called off." Michael shot back
"Bugger off Corner you know that she doesn't want to date you and never found anything interesting about you anyway. You always be kissing her arse just to get her attention" Rodger told Michael
"Whatever, but Cho just wants you to respect her decision okay, please she doesn't want to date anyone after what happened to Cedric." Michael said
"Fine I'll see you later Cho" Rodger said as he left the common room.
With Rodger now gone Cho says to Michael "You took the words right out of my mouth."
"Oh, I did" Michael said he then apologizes sincerely "Cho I'd like to say that I'm sorry for trying to hook up with you when you said you needed time to heal after what happen to Cedric last year."
"I accept your apology" Cho said to him "If it happens again, you're about to get a good look at my other forty-four's."
Michael gulps and takes a step back he knows that Cho is a good shot with a gun and her wand. He changes the subject and asks her "So Harry told you what happened to Cedric?
"Yep, he told me and who killed him it too." Cho replied
"Who did it?" Michael asked
"It was Peter Pettigrew the guy that everyone thought was dead for the last 15 years and who sold out the Potters and killed the twelve muggles when Sirius chased him down." Cho answered
"R-really I thought it was Sirius Black that killed the twelve muggles and sold out the Potters to You-Know-Who" Michael said
"I thought the same thing too, but I was wrong and I'm still angry that fat idiot of a Minister of Magic for having the nerve to house the Triwizard Tournament here after the Death Eaters attacked the Quidditch World Cup of two years ago." Cho said, "Then when Cedric was murdered in the third task of the stupid tournament. To boil my blood even more fat asre had the fucking gall to smear both Harry and Dumbledore because he wants to keep the peace."
"He also sent that pink brown-nosing toad face bitch to make our lives a living hell because he is scared of Dumbledore making an army against him." Michael went on to say
"Yep, that's the gist of it." Cho said then asks him "How are things with you and Ginny?"
"We broke up and we are going to remain friends." Michael replied
"Okay, I'm sure you'll find somebody" Cho said.
"Yeah, but when Cho I know I'm not good looking as Cedric or as popular as Rodger or even the Boy-Who-Lived like Harry. I just want to have a girlfriend again is that so hard to ask." Michael sighed
"Michael stop comparing yourself to them okay look you need to have confidence and self-assurance in order to get the girls like Cedric, Rodger, and Harry." Cho explains
"Is that it?" Michael asked
"There is nothing else to it Michael you need to be confident." Cho said
"You're right Cho I shouldn't be like this it just-"
"Don't worry you'll get there eventually " Cho assures Michael
"Okay Cho and thanks." Michael said
"Don't mention it anyway I'm going to bed." Cho said walking to her Dormitory
"Alright goodnight" Michael said then leaves the Ravenclaw Common Room
4 hours later, with the Hogsmeade Villagers closing for tonight, The Blue Eagle jumps from building to building as she makes her way to Honey Dukes where a secret passage to the school from the cellar that she heard the rumor years ago in another life. She makes it to the candy store and cast a non-verbal Alohomora and opens the door. She heads down to the cellar, finds the trapdoor, and taps her wand three times casts a non-verbal Dissendium the trapdoor opens revealing a long dark staircase leading up to the third floor with a statue of the one-eyed witch. The Blue Eagle cast Lumos and goes down the stairs and through the underground passage. As Chuya walks through the tunnel, she begins to reminisce her Hogwarts days particularly down here.
Flashback 21 years ago
"Are you sure we are going the right way James?" Chuya asked as she and James are traveling through the underground passageways of Hogwarts
James gave his trademark Lopsided grin assuring his girlfriend "Of course we are Chuya don't you feel the wind blowing we are getting closer outside"
"Oh, okay I do feel the air." Chuya said feeling the air blowing in the cave
"That's what I'm saying come on." James holding Chuya's hand
The two teens made it to their destination which was the other side of the black lake, they exited the cave and found a tree stump by the shore to sit on.
"Wow this looks absolutely…breathtaking" Chuya said admiring the view of the castle on the other side of the Black Lake.
"Yep, it is breathtaking."
"So, I'm guessing that Remus is by himself again tonight because of the full moon." Chuya asked.
"Well, no Sirius and Peter are keeping him company tonight." James replied, "Besides, right now I want to spend tonight with my girl."
Hearing that she is 'James' girl 'made Chuya's knees go weak, and her heart skip a beat with that She kissed him, and James kissed her back. The sensation was incredible for the two teens as Chuya sat on his lap and moaned in between the kiss, she also ruffled his hair while he cupped her arse. They broke off the kiss for much needed oxygen. "Oh, Rowena James when did you learn how to kiss like that?" Chuya panted as she nearly had an orgasm from the kiss.
James shrugs and again gives off his trademark grin at this "I don't know you kissed me first and I kissed you back. You are feeling like silly putty right now and you want to snog me again".
Chuya giggles and she says, "You don't have tell me twice James."
The two went back to their kiss until they had to go back to their common rooms.
Once inside the castle she stealthily slips past Mr. Filch and his cat Mrs. Norris who heard the statue move The Blue Eagle quickly hides behind a suit of armor.
"Come on show yourself" Filch grumbled as he looks around then realizes it was nothing "Eh, it was just the wind Mrs. Norris"
"Meow" Mrs. Norris purred
"Let's go back to the office and tomorrow we could go to Madam Umbridge and blame that Potter brat he always be the one causing all the trouble" Filch said as he walks to his office.
"You never changed a bit haven't you Filchy." Muttered Chuya as she peaked around the corner.
Chuya walks down the Grand Staircase to the Potions storeroom she peaks around the corner as she sees overhears a conversation between Ron and Hermione as they were walking up the stairs. "I wonder how Harry is doing with his occlumency lesson tonight?" Hermione felt
"Oh, relax Hermione Harry would be fine and besides he is lot happier now have you notice that?" Ron said
"Yeah, it's because we meditate before we train, and Harry is talking to Cho more than us." Hermione confirmed
"Yep, it's all thanks to you Hermione without you none of it would have been possible." Ron quipped.
"It's really nothing Harry just needed to be a little bit compassionate and realize that the world doesn't revolve around him. Hemione said to him
"I see so we have to look at other people's perspective to better understand them." Ron asked
"Of course, Ron it's not always about Harry, You, me, Malfoy, and You-Know-Who. Look at Ginny, she was possessed by Tom Riddle's diary for an entire school year." Hermione answered
"I completely forgot about that she must had some nightmares after the fallout of being brainwashed by that diary." Ron said
"I think so too." Hermione added
"Yeah but… well I'm glad that Cho is teaching us Martial Arts though."
"Really Ronald" Hermione looked at him as he changed the subject about his sister being possessed by the dark lord's journal throughout her first year.
"What come on Hermione you want punch Lucy boy and Draky-poo Malfoy also Puggy Parkinson in the face as much me and Harry do." Ron said
"Ugh you're impossible" Hermione sighed with nothing else to say to the red-headed friend.
As Ron and Hermione are out of sight Chuya a tear of pride sheded from her cheek after hearing that Cho was teaching Harry's resistance group on how to defend themselves without their wands like she and Jin-hwan did to her. She was saddened to hear that Ginny was influenced by a diary tainted by dark magic which almost led Hogwarts being closed for good three years ago. Which Lucius Malfoy slipped the diary in her book bucket in Diagon Alley when she was shopping for her Hogwarts Supplies. Another major shocker was that Tom Riddle who was once the brightest student of Hogwarts is the Dark Lord that caused the First Wizarding War and the events of the Triwizard Tournament last year.
Chuya continues to make her way to the Potions storeroom a water balloon was thrown right at her, but she dodged it, she looked up and it was Peeves the Poltergeist.
"I've found the Intruder she's right here Filchy!" Peeves said as he kept throwing more water balloons at Chuya.
She dodges all the water balloons and shouts at the Poltergeist "PEEVES!"
Peeves stops throwing water balloons and smiles mischievously "I know that voice anywhere it's CHU-CHU-CHU-CHUYA THE WILD THANG THAT MADE ALL THE BOYS IN THE SCHOOL HEART SANG CHANG ESPECIALLY JIMMY JAMES POTTY. YOU AND HE WERE GETTING NUAHGTY, BUT OVERTIME IT WENT ROTTY!"
"Very funny Peeves." Chuya said
"What are you doing here? Didn't you graduate from Hogwarts Chuya." Peeves asked
"Yes, I did graduate from here and why I'm here is none of your business." Chuya replied
"Okay then I'll fly away" said then floating away.
"Wait Peeves" Chuya called him
"Yes Chuya" coming back
"Peeves I want you to cause a distraction for me." Chuya said knowing that the Poltergeist wouldn't take this opportunity to cause mischief for grant it.
"Alright Chuya one distraction coming right up" Peeves said diving away
"Getting into the Potions storeroom will be a lot easier now with Snivy and other teachers along with Filchy and the Prefects dealing with Peeves." Chuya muttered
Meanwhile in the Potions Classroom Harry was working his Occlumency lesson with Snape, although the Potions expert keeps bombarding his mind with all the troubled times that he went through in his life. Harry was able withstand all of it due to him learning martial arts from Cho, when they have their Dumbledore's Army meetings throughout last month allowing him to be more focus.
"You've managed these lessons pretty well so far Potter."
"Um thanks Professor" Harry said taking the praise lightly he then asks, "Say what did my dad do to you when you and he went to Hogwarts?"
"Why do you want to know?" Snape snarled.
"Because you always compare me to him. I want to know what he did to you that was so bad that you put all the hate on me." Harry told him
"Well, it's almost the 20th Anniversary of the incident near the Black Lake." Snape said
"What incident?" Harry asked
Snape takes a deep breath trying to recollect the dreaded memory "Your father-" interrupted by Filch who came in out
"S-S-Severus Peeves is at again we need your help" Mr. Filch said as he was out of breath
Snape grumbled at this and said to Mr. Filch "Fine let's go" he then turns to Harry and says "Stay here"
Harry complied as Snape and Mr. Filch head over to where Peeves is causing mischief.
Back with Chuya, while Peeves is distracting the teachers and prefects, she makes it to the Potions Storeroom opens the door and cast Lumos. "Time to do a little grocery shopping." She muttered, she starts collecting the Boomslang Skin, Leeches, and Bicorn Horn, placing the ingredients in her bag Chuya closes the door and mutters "Four ingredients down only two to go which are in the Herbology Greenhouses."
Despite Snape telling Harry to stay put in the Potions Classroom, he wanted to find out why Peeves is causing a ruckus even though he does it all the time. It seems like someone told him to cause trouble this time it wasn't the Bloody Baron. Harry pulls out the Marauder's Map and sees all the Teacher and Prefects dealing with Peeves while a corner of his he sees Chuya leaving the Dungeons. Harry couldn't believe it Chuya Chang the woman who is working on getting Sirius a trial is here in Hogwarts. For what he thought it's not like she is visiting Cho or anything. He steps out of the Potions Room and looks for the former Ravenclaw.
As Harry searches for Chuya he bumps into Hermione and Ron who finished dealing with Peeves. "Hermione, Ron there you are."
"Harry what doing here mate you should be going back to the Dormitory" Ron said
"I know but listen Peeves was the distraction Chuya was in the Potions Storeroom." Harry told Ron and Hermione
"Chuya Chang as in Cho's mum is here in Hogwarts?" Hermione questioned
"Yes, she is here Hermione, my father's map never lies" Harry replied
"Where she is now?" Ron asked
Harry pulls out the Marauder's Map, he, Ron, Hermione look where Chuya is going Ron points out "Look Chuya is going to the Herbology Greenhouses."
"Why is she going to the Herbology Greenhouses? Hermione asked
"I don't know but let's find out come on." Harry said as he puts away the map. He, Ron Hermione run to the Herbology Greenhouses.
Chuya walks into Herbology Greenhouses, and she mutters "Ah the Produce section." she grabs two bundles of Knotgrass and three measures of Flux weed as she was about to leave, she sees Harry, Hermione, and Ron coming into the Greenhouse smirks at this and stood there to face them.
The golden trio pulled out their wands and surround the former Ravenclaw. "Okay Chuya we just want to talk."
"Sorry kids, but I'm not this Chuya you speak of." Chuya said.
"Then who are you and why are doing this then?" Hermione asked
Chuya shrugs "Coming here to get help isn't that what the old man be saying. That help could always be found at Hogwarts for those who ask for it."
"By breaking in the castle and stealing." Ron said
"Oh, please you three do the same thing to save the world and you have the nerve to call me out." Chuya shot back then looks at the open window and smirks, "Anyway I love to stay and chat with you kids, but I have to go. Good-bye" Chuya said she then throws a Stink Pellet and bolts of out of the window making her escape leaving the golden trio to cough and wheeze.
"Ugh that stinks." Harry groaned
"Tell me about mate it smells worse than when Crabbe and Goyle stunk up the Potions classroom." Ron said gasping for breath.
Hermione with her bubble-head charm on casted the spell on the boys before they pass out.
"Thanks Hermione." The boys said in unison as their breathing returns to normal under the bubble
"Your welcome boys" Hermione said, "Come on let's go."
Harry, Ron, and Hermione ran out of the Greenhouse to find Chuya, but she was gone "Damn" Harry snarled.
"Well there's nothing we could do mate. Let's get back before Umbridge starts accusing us." Ron said
"Yeah, you're right let's go back to the Common Room" Harry conceded
The Golden trio heads back to the Gryffindor Common Room, unknown to them Chuya was hiding behind a corner. She mutters "I've got to get out of here somehow" then an idea pop in her head "Wait, Umbridge does have Harry's firebolt in her closet after he, Fred, and George Weasley beaten Lucius Malfoy's son Draco to a bloody pulp after the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin Quidditch match. When I overheard the conversation between Delores, Cornelius, Lucius at the Malfoy Manor at the Christmas Party." Chuya gave a wicked grin and mummers "How about I steal it, it would nothing more than taking candy from a big pink toady baby."
Chuya heads back inside the castle only to find it teething with Prefects, Teachers, and Umbridge's bodyguards the Inquisitorial Squad after Peeves' distraction. She sneaks past them only to find the corridor of the classroom having more of Umbridge's thugs. "Great now I have to sneak past them I guess I have to fight them there's no other choice." Chuya murmured as she didn't want to fight but has no other option.
"That was bloody waste of time." Draco sneered
"Indeed, Draco that damn Peeves the Poltergeist let us on a goose chase after him." Pansy said.
"Ha ha I love goose, especially on Christmas Holiday." Crabbe said rubbing his belly thinking about the gamey bird.
"Shut it Crabbe that's enough of thinking about your bloody bloated belly." Draco unkind told off his bodyguard.
Goyle sees Chuya approaching them and taps Draco on the shoulder, and he looks at Chuya and smiles evilly "A little too late to be dressing up for Halloween Chang?"
Chuya remained silent as Draco and his gang sniggered then circled around her like a pack of wolves he asks "So Chang what are you here for? Do you have some information about Potty and his miserable ilk like poor Weaslbee glutton and that jumped up mud blood Granger or Are you giving a show with that little ninja robes?"
The former Ravenclaw breaks her silence, "Oh I'll give a show alright rich boy."
"Is that so Chang usually would you give one to Potty and that brown-nosing weasel Corner" Pansy said then orders Crabbe and Goyle "Get her."
Crabbe attacks Chuya first at the same time she steps back and strikes him with her elbow knocking the Slytherin brute down. Angry at this Goyle tries to punch Chuya, she blocks it then hits him with knife hand strike followed up with a chain of punches to Goyle's chest then a sidekick to his stomach. Chuya gets into her Wing Chun stance looks at the three remaining Inquisitorial Squad goons and does her trademark smirk taunting them Pansy charges at Chuya but was met with a front kick to her chest sending her flying into the wall, Millicent tries to grab however the Former Ravenclaw was too quick and kicks the beefy Slytherin Girl in the knee then does a hook kick to her face knocking her down. With his gang beaten down Draco trembles in fears, he pulls out his some of his pocket money and begs "Here Blue Eagle take this please don't hurt me."
"Really are you trying to bribe me?" Chuya asked with a blank expression on her face. She then grabs the Malfoy scion by his tie, pulls down his pants and boxers, bends him over her knee. She takes out her sword proceeds to smack his bottom with the flat part of the blade.
"You must be out of your mind to buy your way out of a well-deserved spanking" Chuya glared.
"Oww, ouch please stop" Draco said withered in pain from the licks that he is getting.
"Okay then." Chuya said as she stops whacking Draco with her blade. She then gets Draco off her knee; kicks him the groin and he falls to the ground with his butt in the air.
Chuya looks at the knocked out Slytherins who groaning in pain now, she approaches them and erases the memory of confronting her. She walks up the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom door, she casts a non-verbal Alohomora unlocking the door. She heads inside and goes up to teacher's office where she mentally vomits at sight of Umbridge's tacky kitten décor of the office. Scouring the office Chuya finds the Firebolt broomstick, takes it from the closet and checks for any charms fortunately for Chuya there was none she gets out of the office heads downstairs. Chuya casts a non-verbal Bombarda Maxima making a giant hole and flies out.
Hearing the explosion all the Prefects, Teachers, Mr. Filch and Dumbledore rush over to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom they find Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Pansy, and Millicent knocked out on the ground in the corridor. Some of them took the Slytherins to the Hospital Wing while others investigate the classroom, they find an exceptionally large hole which they repaired quickly. Umbridge in her pink night gown waddles her way to her office and sees that the Firebolt she confiscated from Harry was gone. She trembled in anger and throws a temper tantrum.
Chuya flies back to London with a satisfying look on her face she mutters "I can only imagine the look on Umbitch's face when notices the Firebolt missing."
