Most of us know the story of Izuku Midoriya and his rise as a hero in the shadow and later wake of All Might. But what if he had help in a variety of ways from a different kind of hero from what he has been raised to believe existed. This is a story following along with that. The other characters are my own creation from my own attempt at comic characters. Teen for a Language.

46. Chapter 44

Justice Across Space and Time

Chapter 44

Time for the finish of the ship rescue, the start of something more between a few characters, and the introduction of someone new to a few different groups. As well as paving the way for some other story lines. So, on with the show.

(No POV)

'There's no way this hero could stand a chance! I've got him dead to rights!' the squid villain thinks as he drags Jotaro down into the abyss that is the Japan trench. With a little watery sound, the villain announces, "this is the dark I was forced to flee to because of my quirk. And this crushing pressure will finish you as well!"

Jotaro had been silent the whole time the giant squid man was pulling him down. Mostly because he couldn't use his voice to retort. But, as the bioluminescence of the creatures below lit up his features, the squid man could see a smile on the hero's face. "What?" the aquatic villain murmured out. He tightened his grip to try and put more pressure on Jotaro.

But the young man wasn't phased. As the squid villain was questioning to himself on what was going on, a new voice rang in his head. 'There we go. Finally got the right bio frequency.' Jotaro thought while smirking at the villain. "What?! How?! Why can I hear you in my head!?"

'Little something odd I can do. But it works to talk when I can't actually speak. I'm only going to say this once: surrender. You can't kill or even hurt me. And if you think you can get away… well.' Jotaro's eyes flash as he opens them under the water, intimidating the squid villain. 'I have a lot more tricks than what I've shown so far for taking you and others down.'

The squid villain looks around in a panic before attempting to bite down on Jotaro with his beak. Jotaro just lets out a disappointed sigh in his mind before he gets a little more serious. He grips his fists tight before ripping himself out of the tentacles holding him in place. The villain freaks out internally at the damage done to his extra limbs and tries to swim away.

But Jotaro is quickly on him and unleashes an uppercut the sends the villain out of the trench. And the hero follows up quickly using his strength to swim up rapidly. The villain rights himself and aims the jet pulse quirk he got from a doctor offering an enhancement to his powers. He fires high pressure volleys of water and stones in Jotaro's direction.

That is when the teen notices that the villain is just shooting randomly. 'He doesn't actually have control over this jet blast or whatever power. Just like… someone else is handing out or has some way of copying quirks.' Jotaro thinks while rapidly swimming through and around the attacks.

The squid villain notes that Jotaro isn't slowing down, so he goes with a different application of the jet pulses. He faces away from Jotaro and uses the extra jets, plus the one that is natural for his squid body, to get away from the hero as fast as possible.

This works at first, even disorienting Jotaro due to the shockwave from the pressure. But the young hero just grits his teeth before focusing on his hearing to track his quarry. And when he can hear the squid slowing down, he smiles. Then taps into the spatial energy to teleport to just ahead of the villain.

"Okay…. I jetted for about a mile. Should give me plenty of breathing room." The squid villain says to himself while righting his positioning. Looking back at his squid trail and smiling. But that smile quickly drops when he turns and sees Jotaro floating in front of him with a raised eyebrow. 'Nice try.' The teen thinks with a smirk before cracking his knuckles.

And before the squid can react, Jotaro punches him up toward the surface. He follows his quarry up, striking the heteromorphic villain with a powerful roundhouse kick. Then quickly getting behind the villain again and flip kicking him up toward the surface again. The swimming rapidly again for a powerful uppercut into the center of the squid villain's face.

This final hit not only launches the squid out of the water, but it sends the villain flying towards the docks. Where the cruise ship crew had piloted the ship after Saphentite and Melissa had secured all of the villains aboard the vessel. "We can't thank you enough. But where is the one who leapt in first?" the captain asks as he was leaving his ship.

Saphentite smiles before saying, "oh don't worry. He'll be along soon." Before she can be questioned on what she meant, the police and a few heroes note that a large mass was flying toward the docks. As people were freaking out due to thinking they would be crushed, the heroes were all working to save whoever they could from this new threat. With Pedro creating a massive barrier to cover the whole of the docks.

But they had little to worry about. As Jotaro flew in and caught the unconscious villain before he could hit the docks or anyone there. Saphentite shakes her head before saying, "you just had to be a bit dramatic, didn't you?" "Are you really that surprised?" Jotaro jokes back as he is floating down towards the docks. Saphentite just sighs before noting that she wasn't.

"But you might want to think about giving us more of a heads up in the future." Jotaro smiles before agreeing. He asks one of the officers on where he could put the large villain. "Um… to be honest we didn't expect to capture this villain. No one else could even get close to him." One of the lieutenants says with a shrug. While the quirkiest head officer is threatening to arrest all of them gathered.

Selkie though shuts the officer up with a punch to their face. "We have confirmation that all of the younger ones here have provisional licenses. Though you…. We don't really know sir." Selkie's gaze is directed at Pedro. The father nods to the hero before telling who he is and, when questioned, why he was there. "My younger brother and I saw much evil due to the nature of quirks. But I am willing to believe in others. As well as willing to defend whoever I can. With all I have."

Hearing Pedro's story, a fair number of the passengers and officers feel pity and respect for the man. With some of the richer ones looking him up and finding the shelters and other charity works he was involved in. Planning to donate to them. The heroes meanwhile thank him for his help in saving lives. "And in helping with a crisis we had failed to avert." One of the other maritime heroes says with his eyes downcast.

"Its not that you failed. You just weren't ready for all the unknowns. If it wasn't for all of you and the initial sacrifices you made, we could have run into trouble in trying to save these people." Izuku said while acknowledging the names of a few of the heroes and sidekicks. Acknowledging them each as truly heroic. With that little speech and the villains each being restrained, the civilians cheer and chant in respect for all of the heroes gathered.

"Quite the impact they made. I think we should consider looking for more of these true metas." This is the discussion put forward by the current president of the Heroes Public Safety Commission. A few others agree with her, though question where they could find some. "What's the report on Nobasu?" "Um…. Well. Strangely enough…. With a bit of electricity pumping through the remains….. they came back together and reformed into the man." A nervous scientist reported while fumbling his notes.

This impresses and surprises many of the council members and makes them wonder how it was possible he could have survived being ripped in half. "Its probably one of those things that makes true metas more powerful or capable than most with a quirk. He might be willing to aid us. If nothing else than to make sure no one else will lose their home or family like he did. Are there any other candidates?"

The current vice president steps forward and turns on the projector. And the image brought up is Kazuhiko. "This one was at the raid on the villain's base. Not to mention he was instrumental in saving quite a few of the heroes from AFO's attack. We looked into it, and the boy is part of a community of people who were abandoned. Those who survived built their own hidden village in the mountains." The vice president goes on to suggest that they could provide some aid and protection for some of the people at the village.

"For his help of course?" the president says while raising an eyebrow at her vice. The man agrees before noting what Kazuhiko could do. "From what details we've gotten, he can sense, emit, and even turn into EM waves. If he can pick up on transmitted signals, then we might have a new way to get intel on villains and terrorist organizations." The president nods before authorizing a few to approach the boy.

While this is happening, others are worrying and stressing about the defeat of the villains and the loss of the information they hired said villains for. "Damn those so called true metas! They stand in the way of we who deserve to be called metahumans!" The one shouting this at a meeting of his company was Yotsubashi Rikiya. The current president of Detnerat, and the secret leader of the Meta Liberation Army under the codename of Re-Destro. The stress of these new incidents had caused his hair to recede even more than he thought was possible.

"Unfortunately, even with all of our pushing against their recognition around the world, these true meta vigilantes are becoming more and more accepted." Hanabata Koku aka Trumpet explained. Noting that his party, the Hearts and Minds Party, were losing supporters. "Given that more than a few of our members and residents of Deika City have basically aided in awakening a few of these people."

"And we can't use the idea that the padre there was hiding who he was and who he was related to as a tool now. He just admitted it to the world." Kizuki Chitose aka Curious reported while Chikazoku Tomoyasu aka Skeptic was grumbling about the inability to modify the Brazilian man's words. Curious even notes that they have even more difficulties going forward.

Re-Destro looked back at Curious and asked what she meant. "Well unfortunately, none of the people who saved everyone aboard that ship had quirks. All of them were either true metas, or something more troubling and disturbing. Two quirkless heroes."

Hearing that all of the people looked to her and wanted to confirm if she was correct. "Better believe it. One of the ones who fought the flying villains was Melissa Shield herself. Apparently, she got involved in the I-Island incident a few months back. Not only that, but with a lower quality model of this armor she is wearing, she took down a true meta. One of which they've tested since then, and the woman had the potential to flash freeze the entire island. That's stronger than most with a quirk."

Curious then explained what happened with Itsuka and how she had proved herself to be a capable hero and combatant during the UA Sports Festival and during the Provisional License Exam. "One of ours tried to remove her, but he was stopped and removed thanks to the Dragoon Hero. Not to mention many potential heroes stood up for her as well, and acknowledged she earned her place too."

Both of these stories infuriate most of the leaders of the Meta Liberation Army. Genten most of all. Though Re-Destro surprises them by saying, "I won't at least deny that they were impressive. And young Kendo-kun deserves quite a bit of respect….. and maybe a touch of pity/compassion. She didn't ask for what happened to her, she just was a bit unlucky."

"But we can't let this stand. Not only that, but we need to find a way to have them restrained or held back the same way many with quirks are!" "Easier said than done Hanabata. Those people not only have more legal freedom, but there are less of them that are willing to hurt others. There've only been a handful of true meta awakenings, but most of them are on the heroic side." Curious reports with Skeptic corroborating her findings.

Re-Destro sighs before saying, "that probably is in response to our more violent and aggressive members here and around the world. They've seen what unchecked or unbridled power can do due to people. So many of them may have more of an inclination to hold back or restrain themselves in comparison to those with quirks. Let alone the fact that they don't seem to have any changes to their senses of self or values."

A scientist with Detnernat acknowledges that by noting that true meta's didn't seem to cause any shift in observed brainwaves or activity. "And unfortunately… we have confirmed some of what that Jotaro boy was talking about. That….. well the initial activation of quirks is causing some damage to the brains of children. It might be better to look for a way to cure or-"

Before the scientist can continue, Re-Destro uses his Stress quirk to bulk out his arm. And crush the scientist underneath his fist. The man sighs before saying they needed to find a new way to make their message acceptable. "And we need to find some scientist who can provide us an option to avoid the lose of our quirks. Let alone a way to weaken the powers of these…. Hah. True metas." And with that he dismisses his staff and leans back in his chair. As the janitors clean up the mess from his latest outburst.

With the heroes though, they are each thanked for their efforts in saving the civilians on the ship. And with the job done and the villains detained, they all head out to return to UA. Though Toshinori more surreptitiously. Jotaro though heads to the development lab to meet with Itsuka and check in on her. "Hey. Great work out there. You did a lot more than I could have." Jotaro says as Itsuka leaves the lab.

She returns the smile Jotaro gave her with her own and says, "yeah, but I still needed you at the end. After all, you took out the biggest threat." Jotaro gives a light chuckle before noting that it was just the best option they had. "Izuku might be able to handle someone like that at some point. Though he's going to have to figure out how to use those tendrils of his for that."

Itsuka elbows Jotaro before asking if they could not talk about work. "A little young to be thinking or talking like that aren't you?" Jotaro jokes with a wink. Itsuka rolls her eyes as they continue walking towards Heights Alliance. But before Jotaro continues on for the 1-A dorm, Itsuka stops him. "Hey…. Um… well. Its Sunday tomorrow. And I was wondering if you wanted to do something on our day off?"

Jotaro smiles before saying that sounded nice. "There's a few shops around, and maybe we can find something we both can enjoy." Jotaro says with a nod, before asking when she wanted to meet up for the date. The girl has a light blush and says to meet at the school gate at eleven. "I'll see you then Jotaro." "Same to you Itsuka."

Saphentite though had heard the whole thing as she was on an evening flight and she decides to follow and see how things go for the pair. The next day, Jotaro was dressed in a nice blue shirt and khaki jeans with tan boots on. His sunglasses were the same as ever but his hair was somewhat tamed compared to the usual mess he left it. As he was heading out, a few of the guys were making jokes and teasing him about going out.

But the larger teen just rolled his eyes as he was walking to the door. But not before taking a stab at Izuku because he'd made a joke too. "Hey Izuku. Didn't you also have plans with Melissa later today?" Upon saying that, all eyes were now on the green haired teen. He blushed before stammering out, "how did you know about that?!"

Jotaro just turns back to his friend with a smirk and raised eyebrow. And Izuku put it together. "Right of course you heard." Izuku muttered out as Jotaro left and a few others descended on him to ask what he was doing with Melissa.

Itsuka meanwhile had snuck out to avoid the teasing of one Tokage Setsuna and was waiting at the front entrance to the school. She had a light blue blouse and skirt combination with a lightweight tan jacket over that. As well as wearing some comfortable shoes to go with her outfit.

She chuckled as Jotaro walked up. Noting that they matched without even trying. Jotaro rubbed the back of his head before admitting that he needed a bit of help from Saphentite to get together. "I've never been that good at organizing. And unfortunately, I can't tell what I'm wearing. Given….. you know." Jotaro says while looking down and a bit sheepish.

The martial artist girl just gives him a gentle smile before stepping up and smoothing out his shirt a bit. "There's nothing wrong with needing help. Especially in your case. And…. You look pretty handsome right now." Itsuka says the last part with a blush.

Jotaro heard it of course but didn't make a big deal out of it. Instead, he offers Itsuka his arm and asks where she wanted to go first. She smiles as she wraps her arm in his and suggests a good restaurant nearby for lunch. After that they went to check out a few of the shops around the city. Before Itsuka led him to a special place to get him to do something he doesn't do that often.

"Welcome. Two for a karaoke booth today?" the receptionist at the front of the business said with a smile. Jotaro grunted before hissing out, "Itsuka! Really?!" "Oh c'mon! I've only heard you sing once, and you were great! And I may have seen a few videos of you playing instruments and singing before~" Itsuka says with a big grin on her face.

Jotaro just lets out an annoyed sigh before asking if it was Saphentite who ratted him out. He still goes along but doesn't sing for a little bit. "Hey now. I didn't do this just so I can sing. And don't try to just flatter me by saying I sound good." Jotaro looks to the side before telling Itsuka she actually did sound good.

"Its just….. I'm not…. A big fan of singing unless I have a reason. I usually use it as…" Jotaro trailed off, while Itsuka finishes his thought by saying it was a coping mechanism. "But that doesn't mean you can't just have fun with it too. C'mon. Just one song?" Itsuka says while giving the boy her best puppy dog eyes.

"You know the puppy dog pout doesn't work on me right?" Jotaro says with a raised eyebrow. But he does relent and asks Itsuka to find a specific song. She finds it and Jotaro stands with a sigh. Right as the music is starting, she can see the hero teen tapping his foot to the beat with his back turned to her.

"Well get up up on the dance floor tonight! I've got two left feet and a bottle of red wine! Making me feel like the beat and the baseline." Jotaro belts out as he turns back toward Itsuka. As he is singing, she can feel herself being pulled into the music as he sings. Subtly dancing to the song.

And as Jotaro is reaching the chorus, he extends a hand to Itsuka. She takes it, and he pulls her up and spins her in close to him. "let's pretend we're dancing in the street…. In Barcelona!" Right as Jotaro sings this, he spins her around again and she feels as if she can see the city itself.

Walking and dancing down Las Ramblas, with the evening lights glowing amber all around. The two spin around a bit more, dancing close while Jotaro is still belting out the lyrics. Towards the end of the song, Jotaro spun and pulled Itsuka in close and held her. As she looked up, she could tell he was letting go and having fun. And he surprised her by leaning down and kissing her.

All the while not noticing a few people are watching them. The first of course being the staff at the karaoke shop they were at. Some of whom copied the video to post on social media. The other party watching them was Saphentite and a few others. Itsuka wasn't as sneaky as she had hoped. Setsuna knew something was up when Itsuka went to her room just before lunch. So she went out with Monoma tagging along as he suspected something as well.

Though Saphee wasn't the only one from class 1-A who was curious about matters with Jotaro and Itsuka. Aoyama had come along as well. He wanted to stop Saphentite from ruining or meddling with the date. 'It is a bit of second hand guilt given….. what I did to both of them. But I feel I can support them both this way.'

"I hate to admit it, but he really does sound good." Monoma grumbles out while in a different booth. Aoyama was currently the only one singing, but Setsuna felt inspired by the bigger teen and stood up to sing herself. "Plus it'll get the tone deaf French guy off the mic." "Veuillez m'excuser?!" Aoyama shouts as Setsuna yanks the microphone out of his hands.

While they are arguing though, Saphentite is looking over the magic feed to Itsuka and Jotaro's booth. She has a conflicted look on her face. One that Monoma picks up on. So he decides to ask what exactly was going on between the two of them. "Its…. Complicated. Jotaro and I have been together for a long time. Not to mention…. He's the one who freed me. After I was turned into a djinn."

"So you feel…. A mixture of loyalty, gratitude, and perhaps something more for him?" Monoma asks with a subtle nod. Saphentite smiles before agreeing to what he said. "And I know he feels much the same. I….. helped pick him back up and drag him out of his shell after his powers awakened….. And he was afraid of himself and what he could do to others."

Monoma nods and can see what she meant. Not to mention respecting the two of what they meant to one another. "Have you two….. told each other how you feel?" Saphentite smiles a bit before saying they had. "But….. I guess you could say we felt like we wanted to see what else could happen while we were here."

The loudmouth of 1-B feels put off by that statement and says that he had better not hurt his friend. "Or I will find some way to hurt him. Not sure how, but I will." Saphentite smiles before saying she and Izuku would probably hurt him first. Monoma chuckles a bit at this and suggest that the two of them put aside things and just have fun.

"And maybe stop Tokage and Aoyama before they start blasting each other." Monoma says while watching the two wrestle over who got to sing next. Saphentite just smiles before extending her arms and lifting the two out, with Monoma caught the microphone. And thus takes the next song.

Back at UA, Izuku and Melissa were working out together. Despite her armor aiding her in combat, she admitted that she wasn't in the best shape. "Luckily Uncle Might gave me a workout plan that I could do here on campus." Melissa said after finishing a run on the treadmill. Izuku smiled and finished her thoughts by saying, "and since I tend to work out often, you thought I'd be the best partner for this?"

"That and….. well. I wanted to talk to you about a few things." Melissa said while looking up at Izuku as he was finishing a set of curls. He sat next to her and asked what she wanted to talk about. Melissa blushes before saying, "the kiss…. Well kisses. It's not just because I'm grateful for the help you gave me in building up my suits and gear…. There is an attraction there as well. Do you feel it to?"

Izuku was a bit surprised and blushes as well. But he doesn't freak out like he might have a year ago. "Ahem… well. I'd be a liar and an idiot if I said you weren't an attractive girl… woman…. Um... anyway! But I'll be honest, I don't know the first thing with relationships or anything like that. I've been so focused on trying to become the next great hero…. That I've kinda put those ideas out of my mind. Not to mention, not many girls were ever interested in me…. Given… y'know."

Melissa nodded noting that while some boys would comment that she was cute, hot, attractive etc., they were never interested in anything more than the surface with her. Even some she had tried to date, admitted that they weren't too sure if they should continue seeing her. Given she didn't have a quirk and plenty of people were talking behind their backs.

"Meanwhile, you were more impressed and interested in the other things I could do. Not only that, but you were willing to trust in my things and help me make better ones." Melissa says while looking up at Izuku's face. Izuku returns her smile and notes that she when they met, she was more focused on making him gear to help him and make him a better hero. "Rather than something on the surface. Or noting that I looked plain or something like that."

Izuku then sat next to the older girl and gave her a playful hip bump. She returned it with a laugh and bump back to him. They sat there for a bit before looking into each other's eyes. And coming together with a kiss. After a minute, they separated with a pant and blushes across their faces.

They laugh again before Melissa says she'd like to see where this goes for them. "I would too. Not just because of how you look, or the gadgets you make. But because I want to know more about you yourself." Izuku says with a rub to the back of his neck. The two chuckle before going to the locker rooms to shower.

The two though were watched by another. Ochaco had been curious on what Izuku and Melissa would be doing, and had given into her curiosity and a bit of jealousy. 'Why should I be jealous!? There hasn't been anything going on between us! But is that all just on Izuku? Or should I maybe…." Ochaco thinks while looking down.

Comparing the fact that he had been an inspiration for her, and that he kept showing more and more of what it meant to be a hero. But that she hadn't tried to get closer to him. "Other than that time I dragged him along to try out swimsuits. Maybe I should have tried to talk to him more about it then."

"Talked to him more about what?" Ochaco heard behind her. She yelped before turning around and seeing Melissa standing there. She then stammered out a question on why Melissa was out first. The older girl just chuckled before saying it was odd that she finished first. "So…. What did you want to talk about with Izuku?" Melissa says with a teasing smile sent Ochaco's way.

Ochaco turns bright red before running off. Melissa hums before wondering if she should bring this up to Izuku. "Maybe later. Now though, I've got something else to show him and a few other hero students." Izuku finally leaves the shower and Melissa questions why it took him so long. Izuku blushes while noting that he had to take care of something else while he was in the shower.

Melissa shrugs before saying she wanted to show something to a few of his classmates. The two head back to the dorms after Melissa picks up a piece of equipment from the development studio. When they arrive, they bump into Saphentite and Aoyama returning from their outing.

They all head into the dorm while Melissa explains some of what she built. Kirishima came up first and asked what she was doing at the dorm. "I wanted to show a few of you guys some new devices I made. A few are restraint and protective devices." Melissa demonstrates this by using one item to chase Mineta around the commons area, before wrapping him up in electrified bindings.

And an energy shield gauntlet that can expand, be fired like a laser, create a dome to protect multiple people, and even be reformatted into different shapes and forms. Demonstrating by turning the shield into a staff, then a hard light hammer, and finally a sword. "Whoa! I want one. That could be quite useful for me in case I'm running low on lipids. An exceptional piece of equipment Shield-san! Will someone get me out of this thing!?"

Hearing class 1-A's sterling reviews, Melissa decided to bring out the item she was the most proud of. It looked like another gauntlet, but this one was bigger and seemed to have gun barrels on the top. "I don't have a name for it yet, but it has the most tricks and devices I could pack into one glove." Melissa said before showing off a few features.

Including: radar and heat sensors, a collapsible shield, small laser and plasma launchers, and multiple special restrain missiles and ammo types. Momo and Jiro look the device over quite a bit, even trying them on and firing a few items. Namely by pinning Mineta to the wall with a "squid grip" missile and tying up Kaminari with a bolo rocket.

"Any chance you could make me one of these?" Momo asks while offering to pay for the materials. Noting that it didn't quite fit her hand and arm. Jiro asks the same but wondering if she could add some speakers to plug her jacks into. Melissa shrugs before saying, "I probably could. These are for me and the police for now though. Give them a bit more options and capabilities to fight with heroes."

"A noble and sensible thought Shield-san! While we may be frontliners, giving support items to the police to let them restrain and fight villains is a sensible step." Ida says while asking if she could make some items to help with cooling his engines. So, he doesn't have to deal with Mei and her crazy inventions.

While that was happening, Jotaro slips in and avoids extra questions from all of his classmates by sneaking past the group swarming Melissa. But one person noticed he was back. Once he is in his room, he stretches his back while chuckling at how much he sang after Itsuka convinced him to keep singing.

"Hah. So, did you have fun following us?" "Yeah, I should have known you knew we were there." Saphentite says with a little pout on her face. Jotaro smiles at her while asking if she had fun with the rest of their classmates. Saphentite admitted that she did and had fun after they stopped following him. "But that isn't why you are here. Right?" Jotaro says with a smile.

Saphentite blushes while still pouting before saying, "if you know me so well, then do you know why I'm here?" Jotaro's eyes widen a bit before sighing. He then says, "yeah, I have an idea Sahirah. I haven't exactly been fair to you." He gives her an apologetic look before bringing her into a hug. Saphentite leans into Jotaro before saying, "it's not just on you John. I was the one who suggested we see what could come of our lives after we were stuck in these teen forms."

She then admits that while he was changing and enjoying being a teen, she was still acting like her usual self. "And not trying to see what other feelings could blossom. Like you have." Jotaro lets out a dry chuckle before he didn't try to do that. "I was just….. trying to help and save her at first. Then respecting her strength as a martial artist. I didn't plan or expect for more real feelings of attraction and love to come up."

Saphentite gets a laugh at this and notes that it was the exact same with the two of them. She hugs him back before looking up at his face. She gently takes his sunglasses off, before casting a bit of magic to dampen his powers. It would only work for a few seconds, as Jotaro would absorb the magic soon after.

But it was enough to see his eyes as they should be. Golden hazel with a hint of green. Not the whited-out state due to all of the energy flowing through his body. Doing this also had the effect of letting Jotaro see Saphentite as she was. And both let out a few tears at being able to see each other again.

"I love you." Saphentite says while cupping Jotaro's face. Who just smiles before saying, "I know. And I love you too." The two then come together with a kiss. They stay together for the night unnoticed, given their classmates were more focused on Melissa and her gadgets. Not sleeping together, just holding each other close.

In another part of Japan, at a Detnernat development company, a disgruntled employee is looking at the image of Melissa being a big hero with her special armor. He had put forward the idea of making armor and other devices to aid those with weaker quirks years ago. But his quirk obsessed bosses refused.

Saying, "we are only focused on enhancing those with quirks and devices to make quirks stronger. If these true metas are around, we need a way to enhance quirks to where they can compete with them. Not worry about worthless wastes like you!" The man in this case was a quirkless inventor named Ryou Jin Wu.

He had been pushed down first for his nationality, given his father was Chinese. Then even more because of his quiklessness. With the credit for many of his items being taken by project heads.

He had often suspected that Detnernat was associated with the Meta Liberation Army. But after these latest requests and statements, he was more convinced. He had hacked in and found their correspondence to the meta liberation head. And he was fired for looking into that.

Now he was out for payback, and he felt especially incised at seeing Melissa becoming a hero with an armor she made. "The only reason that biǎo zi is respected is because of her father, her nationality, and…. Because she is attractive. Well, I'll show them! I'll show those quirkest bastards what real power and strength is!"

Before he had been fired, Wu had been subtly keeping items and tools that were rejected at his apartment. He took each of them apart and started building his own suit of armor. It is much bigger than what Melissa had built, but it was armed with more lethal tools.

Tools he was going to show to his former employers. In the evening, three nights after the cruise ship rescue, Wu made his move. He rocketed into the top floors, where a few of the leaders were trying to come up with new ways to improve quirks.

"Guess what assholes! Quirks won't save you and they are just as worthless as all of you!" Wu shouts while transforming the right arm into a laser gatling gun and rips through people gathered. He then launches a set of missiles to strike the bottom floor of the building and start fires to trap everyone inside.

As his final act of revenge for the night was capturing his quirkest boss. A woman who had an intelligence enhancing quirk and thought herself above everyone. Though her quirk made her smarter, it didn't make her more creative. And Wu had come up with ideas she never could, and she took the credit he was due.

"You! You and everyone like you should have died out long ago! We're the next step!" the woman shouted as Wu had her gripped in the hands of his suit. Wu laughed menacingly while gripping the woman tightly and electrocuting her. Wu retracts the dome like top of his suit to look the woman in the eye.

He smiles cruelly before saying, "you were wrong. You always were and you all were a step in the wrong direction." He then slowly rips the woman in half, chuckling while she screams. Electrocuting her so she couldn't pass out and feel every ounce of pain as her lower half is ripped from her upper.

With that done, Wu fires more missiles and uses an onboard flamethrower and plasma blaster to set more fire to the building. And kill as many people inside as he can. Once that is done, he is ready to jet off. "Halt villain! You won't get away that easily! Your quirk won't help you either!"

The one shouting this is the hero and meta liberation member, Slidin' Go. Wu scoffs while noting he didn't need that to kill these fools. Slidin' Go take offense to this and calls Wu pointless and that he would take down devolved human. He uses his quirk to slide in to knock over Wu.

But the inventor expected this and used special spikes to plant his feet. Slidin' Go impacts face first on Wu's armor. Grunting in pain, then in worry as Wu had grabbed him and dug into his skin with hooks to make sure he couldn't slide away. Wu smiled cruelly again as he slid some of his chest armor to the side to reveal another cannon. It charges up and blasts the villainous hero. Vaporizing his head and a major portion of his chest.

With that done, Wu takes off and flies of to the hills outside the city. After he lands, he lets out a happy set of tears at taking revenge on his Detnernat oppressors. "Quite an impression you made. Any chance….. you're looking for work?" Wu hears as two people come out of the shadowed tree line.

The Anderson twins had been observing the building for a time. Thinking it would be a good place to raid for money and items. But now they found something even better. With Ryan extending his hand to offer Wu a place with the Forgotten. A hand Wu takes with a smile on his and his new comrades faces.

Oh that feels so good to finish. Let alone matters with some of the relationships I set up long ago. And bringing in another villain who has a very good reason to want payback. Let alone showing how stupid the Meta Liberation idiots are handling the truth of how bad quirks are for them. Please review!
