Sunday afternoon rolled around, and before the Titans knew what was happening, they were going their separate ways. The three who were staying behind looked somber, knowing full well they may never see their teammates again.

Starfire floated out of her room with her head hung slightly. She was still worried, but she was determined to make the most out of the situation. She was wearing the same light purple dress she had worn to prom a couple years before. She hadn't needed to wear anything special on that occasion, but at least it was a nice undercover look.

She giggled when she looked up and saw Robin in his tuxedo from the same night. "We should go to the mall of shopping sometime to get more formal clothes. We are clearly lacking," she commented.

"Well, at least we know we look good in these," Robin laughed.

Starfire beamed as she realized Robin might be returning back to normal. His sense of humor was restored; perhaps his temper was, too.

The two lovebirds linked arms and strutted out the door of Titans Tower. The other three waved goodbye, and as the door closed, Raven shot a harsh glance at the boys.

"I want to follow them, make sure they stay out of trouble."

"What, like not making out and stuff?" Beast Boy joked, trying to lighten the otherwise tense mood.

"Not funny," Raven moaned. "I'm staying here, but I'm worried this concert's a trap. And how do we know Robin's not in on it? He's played a villain before to get closer to his enemies."

"Slade," the boys whispered in unison.

"Exactly," Raven confirmed. "Who's to say he's not part of this right now?"

"It would explain his temper," Cyborg said, thinking out loud.

Still, the trio knew they couldn't just stand and theorize. They had to take initiative in trying to save their friends.

-End Scene

Robin and Starfire took their seats right in the front row and gawked at the empty auditorium. "Where is everybody?" Starfire asked.

"We must be pretty early," Robin replied.

The Alley Men stepped out onto the stage. "Why, you're early," Blaze noted with a gesture towards the Titans.

"You never told us what time this thing started."

"Oh Boy Wonder, you could have asked." Blaze returned to tuning his electric guitar.

"Okay. When do you think you'll be starting, then?"

"About half an hour if everything goes well with sound check. Would you mind listening to one of our warm-up sessions?"

"Oh, not at all!" Star clapped, excited to get a behind-the-scenes look.

The Alley Men tested out their instruments and mics, then Blaze turned to the Titans. "Oh, yeah. We have stage names we use, so you might be confused later. I'm Herald of Ashes, Hector is the Parallel Plunderer, Flint is Gray Granite, Alphius is The Hood, and Chad is Open Wound."

"These seem like quite strange names," Star commented. "You sound more like villains than musicians."

"Shh!" Robin shoved his finger up against her lips. "Don't make them mad. Come on, just give them a chance."

People were starting to flow into the venue, and Star realized she couldn't make an easy escape. She squirmed as Robin took hold of her wrist. She was strong enough to pull away, at least after he'd worn himself out putting up a fight, but she was too scared to try. In the state he was in, she couldn't be sure he wouldn't kill her.

Well, the concert began soon enough, and she was still there. Panic began to take hold. Would she be able to get out of there in time? Her heart raced faster and faster, and she couldn't stop her hands from glowing, fireballs at the ready.

As the music started up, the crowd began to hush. Star focused on the music, finding that it was relaxing her thoughts. In fact, now she only had one thought. She would do whatever this band wanted from her or die trying.
