As the sun rose over Central City, the Watcher observed from above. In a particular room, an alarm sounded, indicating the waking of a not-so-fast-speedster named Barry. He groggily hit the snooze button, rubbing his face as the sunlight momentarily blinded him. Barry then rolled over, searching for the other side of the bed.
His hand hit cold covers, a perfectly smooth pillow, and neat sheets. Barry shut his eyes for a moment as everything came rushing back into his brain. The trap. Zoom had kidnapped Wally, and then stolen Barry's speed. And then he kidnapped Caitlin and took MJ with him.
Barry swallowed hard, pushing the thoughts from his mind. He couldn't deal with them at the moment; he had to get to work.
He was forced to take the bus and sit next to a very weird guy playing a very annoying game on his phone. Then, the line at Jitters was too long. Finally, he arrived at the CCPD - late - and sat down to start his mountain of abandoned paperwork. Without coffee. Without his speed. Without Caitlin.
He felt listless. He couldn't focus on anything. Finally, he gave up on his work at around 2:00 and made his way by bus over to STAR Labs.
Things became...tense pretty quickly after what happened with Zoom.
Peter has been working nonstop at STAR Labs ever since Zoom kidnapped MJ and Caitlin. He had no other choice but to stand and watch as that monster took the girl that he cared about so much. He couldn't save her; he had all of this power and he couldn't do anything to stop it. Bobby, Harry, Angelica, Miles, and Gwen have yet to see him leave the building for anything other than to punch someone in the face.
Miles asked, "Should we try talking to him?"
"What do you say to the guy who just had his girlfriend kidnapped?" Bobby asks.
"Yeah, they don't exactly teach you something like that," said Harry, who had to agree, it was a little hard to do.
Angelica didn't even say anything as she started walking over towards him. He didn't even realize that she was there; he continued working on some equation. She wasn't entirely sure, but it looked like a more technical version of the Speed Force Equation, but more...technical. Like he was trying to imply it as a form of technology rather than a force.
"Are you trying to help yourself go faster?" Angelica asked.
"You know of any fast superheroes that we can rely on right now?" Peter asks, a little sore about how this was all their idea. Yet again, he was against the idea, to begin with, but that bridge has been crossed already. "Because I certainly don't."
"Okay, wow," Angelica said, scoffing. "You really need to take a break. Everyone sees you need one."
"Wells doesn't seem to mind; he's actually been helping me," Peter admitted.
"Helping you how?" Angelica asked, a little worried by the answer.
"I think we can improve the helmet's design by using better materials," Wells said as he walked through the lab with a tablet in hand. "I might be able to synthesize some unstable particles from my world and use them to create something new." He then picked up his Speedster gun. "I'll see what I can find to combine when I return."
"You can't be serious," Angelica said, sighing. "I almost want to say I can't believe it, but I actually can."
Miles sighed as he watched Barry attempt to use Cisco's powers to check on Caitlin and MJ. "You guys got anything?"
Cisco let out a sigh as he emerged from the vibe, giving the object in his hand a dirty look. "I wish we didn't have to keep Jay's helmet around," he muttered dejectedly. "I hate this thing. I just want to put a dent in it."
"Not the only one," Peter muttered.
Barry nodded absently, not having heard a word. "Cisco, did you see Caitlin or MJ?"
Cisco let out a sigh. "Zoom's got them in his lair. Caitlin is scared, but she's okay."
"What about MJ?" asked Bobby, worrying about his friend.
"She seemed okay. Weirdly calm." Cisco commented.
"Probably used to getting kidnapped after everything that happened last year," Peter recalled when the Spot holes opened up, sending them across the city, Goblin kidnapping her, etc. "Which, you know, shouldn't be the case, but MJ was always a little off."
"Right, she's the weird one in this relationship," Bobby scoffed, seeing them both as weird.
Barry let out the breath he hadn't realized he had been holding and sank into a chair. "Thank God. Okay, we need to get them back."
"I know," Joe replied. "But without your speed, there's no way any of us can get through that breach that Cisco found at the hospital." He let out a sigh. "I don't know if there's anything we can do right now."
"That's right," Wells said, coming back into the room with a baseball cap on and rooting through a few drawers. "And that's thanks to you, Allen."
"Enough-" Joe said, but Barry cut him off.
"You don't think I don't know that?" he cried. My fiancee just got kidnapped by Zoom. This has been my worst nightmare for the past four months. If you could just take a second and stop throwing around the blame, you'd see that I'm already administering it just fine by myself!"
"Hey!" Peter exclaimed, gaining everyone's attention. "How about you guys stop arguing? I'm trying to concentrate." He then looked back to the equations and muttered to himself. "If I can achieve the necessary velocity in my suit, there's a chance I can get us through the portal."
"You really think you can take on Zoom alone?" Miles asks him in concern.
"Right now, Miles...I'm betting to take on an army of Speedsters." Peter was willing to do anything to get MJ back.
Barry leaned forward and ran his hands through his hair, taking a deep breath. He didn't look at anyone, even as Cisco reached over and rested a hand on his back.
"We're all suffering here," Joe said quietly.
"That's right," Wells repeated. "That's right, detective. We're all suffering. We've lost Cisco and Harry, you've lost your speed, and now Zoom—now he can come through that breach any time he wants. And that, Barry, that's on you."
Barry squeezed his eyes shut. He couldn't deal with this right now.
"Hey, that's on all of us," Iris spoke up angrily. "We made these decisions as a team."
Wells turned around, and as Barry looked up, he made a glaring sort of eye contact with him.
"No, we didn't," Wells muttered as he walked off towards the garage.
"Where are you going?" Barry asks.
"I am going to get Jesse before Zoom has a chance to kidnap her. Again." Wells stated as he then gets ready to go.
"You found her?" Angelica was a little surprised to hear. "How?"
"Cellular dead zones," Jones says. "The people on our Earth vibrate at a different frequency and create cellular dead zones."
"Is that why I keep dropping calls around you?" Cisco asks.
"So, how does that help with Jesse?" Gwen asks.
"I followed the trail of dead zones that led me to her," Wells said as he walked off.
"Well, shouldn't you bring some backup?" Cisco asks.
"Like who?" Wells asks. "Know anyone with the speed to help me, Ramon?"
"Not speed, but the opposite," Peter stated. "Bobby, make yourself useful and stop staring at me."
"Wow, okay." Bobby scoffed and decided to just go with it and walked with Wells. "We need to get MJ back, the stress is starting to break him."
EARTH-2:
Meanwhile, back at Zoom's lair, Caitlin and MJ were handcuffed to beds that looked as if they were taken from some mental hospital; the condition they were in certainly supported this theory. And MJ took a wild guess that's exactly where Zoom got them from. They both had plates of food in front of them that seemed to have been taken from Big Belly Burger. Neither of them had even taken a bite out of their food; Caitlin was too sick from being a captive, and MJ basically refused to eat due to being held captive.
Zoom zoomed into the room and neither of them even flinched; they were used to it. Caitlin was more used to Barry's speed gust, but Zoom's speed gust wasn't really much different from Barry's.
"The two of you...need to eat."
MJ stated, "I'm perfectly happy here." As she looked up at him with no fear, she added, "After all, if you didn't need us, we wouldn't be here."
"What are you talking about?" Caitlin wasn't sure if she understood MJ's logic.
"I've seen enough superhero movies and TV shows to know he kidnapped us because of Peter and Barry," MJ stated as she looked over at the monster. "He kidnapped us so he can use us as leverage against them; even if they manage to get a way for Barry to get his speed back, they won't risk him hurting us."
"Clever girl." Zoom complimented.
"Okay, you know, I can't take you seriously when you wear that," MJ scoffed. "If you're going to mock me, at least have the decency to look me in the eye."
Zoom decided to grant her wish and removed his suit to reveal his face. "Is this what you wanted?"
"Nothing you can do will please me," Caitlin stated.
Well, sorry to say that over time that will change," Hunter said as he looked at MJ. "She is right. I am only keeping you around to keep them in check. So I would start trying to get comfortable. Because you're likely to be here for a while."
Then he sped off, leaving the two of them chained to the beds. But that was when MJ smiled and pulled out a hair clip from her back pocket. Caitlin didn't say anything, fearing that if she spoke it would alert Zoom to her actions. MJ then began to pick the lock on the chains that were keeping her to the bed. Caitlin was pretty amazed when she saw MJ actually managed to get out of her chains and was relieved to have them off.
"How did you manage to do it?" Caitlin wasn't sure what to say.
"Let's just say daddy isn't winning any Father of the Year awards," MJ said as she recalled learning to pick locks. "You don't know how many times I had to pick a lock to get out of a locked closet."
"And I thought I had a rough childhood," Caitlin said as she looked at MJ. "You have it even worse than me." MJ then walked over and repeated the process on Caitlin's cuffs, freeing them both. "Remind me to ask you to teach me that when we get home."
"Well, truth be told, I Googled it," MJ admitted with a shrug.
As they started to wander around the lair, they were creeped out by how torn and almost worn down the place looked. It seemed as though the place had been a mining station that had been shut down for years. There was no way that any of this destruction had been done by the Hunter himself. Of course, they could see where he had added his own little touches, such as the area with the cells and meta dampeners.
"Man, Zoom could really use a woman's touch in here," MJ quipped as she looked around.
That's when they came across the area where the man in the iron mask was being held, and to their shock, Killer Frost. "Hello, doppelgänger of mine. What do you know? I can still pull off brunette."
EARTH-1:
Bobby found himself in the most uncomfortable position of his life as he sat in the back seat of the STAR Labs van with Wells and Jesse. He was literally a metahuman who could never feel the cold, yet he could feel the icy tension in the air.
"So, who's going to talk first? Do you guys want to talk first? Or should I go first?" Bobby asks.
"Not helpful," says Wells to Bobby.
"Hey, I'm just trying to lighten the mood," said Bobby.
Jesse said, "Leave him alone." She defended Bobby. "At least he's trying to be civil."
Wells asked his daughter, "What does that mean?"
"Oh, why don't you ask Zoom or the hundreds of other metahumans you created?" Jesse questioned her dad. "Or maybe Trajectory, seeing as you were the one who made Velocity-9 in the first place?"
"That particle accelerator..." Wells almost froze when he got a thought in his mind. "It gave Zoom his speed. It gave Allen his speed."
"Yeah, that's how it all worked." Jesse commented, "You failed on two different Earths."
"You know, I think I prefer the awkward silence," Bobby said, looking away from them. He then glanced back at her and added, "But you're welcome to try and break it if you want." As he spoke, his gaze shifted to something on the road ahead of them. "Watch out!"
Wells was surprised when he saw the man on the road and watched as he got into position to take the impact. He slammed on the brakes. Bobby acted quickly; getting up and making his way over to the window. Shooting the ground beneath him with ice, he managed to cause the man to slip, but the car still took a lot of the impact. Not enough to crush the engine, but enough to leave a human-sized dent in it.
All three of them were shocked and wondered what had just happened, but they were a little more worried when they saw that whoever they hit got back up. Bobby quickly got to work as he jumped out of the car and morphed into his ice form.
"Okay, I don't know what the hell is your problem, but I have a lot going on." Bobby knew he needed to get to STAR Labs and help save Caitlin and MJ. "I don't have time to pick another fight with a metahuman who has a grudge against Wells."
Bobby was even more confused when he watched the man in front of him age much faster than he did in just a moment. He didn't know what to make of this phenomenon. However, he soon witnessed the man picking up a piece of the railing on the side of the road. The man then threw it at Bobby, who responded by shooting his ice mist to stop it from hitting him.
"Really?" Bobby was a little insulted the first time he fought a metahuman solo (if you don't count Molton Man, which was more of a team-up than a solo fight), and it was a solo battle against some dude with just super strength. "Wow, I am a little hurt that this is who I officially went solo against." He didn't even flinch this time when this guy threw a tire at Bobby and he dodged it. "Okay, let's get this over with."
Bobby then blasted a bunch of mist at him and froze him solid. Thankfully, he didn't freeze him completely. This would help with his strength; all he needed to do was wait for someone to take him to a metahuman holding cell at Iron Heights to thaw out.
"You know what?" Bobby said. "You're exactly what I needed today." He had to admit he needed to get some of his anger out.
Peter was now in Cisco's workshop working on the suit that would help him achieve super speed and help him save MJ and Caitlin. Angelica thought it was time that she and he talked as she approached him.
"Peter," Angelica called to get his attention. "You need to take a break."
"I'll take a break when MJ and Caitlin are safe," Peter stated.
Angelica looked down at the suit and knew she could actually help, but knew that he needed to take a break. "Okay, you know what? I have something you might want." She then reached into her back pocket and showed Peter a USB drive. "You think you're the only one who considered this idea?"
Peter asked, "What?" as he stopped and looked at the drive. "What is that?"
"My Peter...he invented a suit that uses kinetic energy he builds up while running to help him run faster," Angelica explained and offered the USB to him. "You get this..." But when Peter went to grab it, Angelica moved it away. "...after you take a break."
"And do what?" Peter asked.
"Take a shower," Angelica said, gagging as he got closer. "You haven't showered since that night. Eat a real meal and maybe even get some sleep."
EARTH-2:
"You're Killer Frost," Caitlin says to her doppelganger.
"And you're Caitlin Snow," she says. "The one that your Cisco buddy wouldn't shut up about. He made you out to be some kind of a saint." Frost tells her as they hear the man keep knocking. "If I could get my powers to work through this carbine wall, the first thing I would do is shut him up!"
"Who is he?" MJ asked as she approached and saw the fear in his eyes.
"Don't know, don't care. But if he's here, Zoom must need him for something." Frost stated, assuming that would be the only reason he would keep her.
"So what does Zoom need you for?" Caitlin asked Frost.
"That is an excellent question, Caity. I think he's just mad that I helped your buddies escape." Frost guessed. "But it doesn't matter now. Because you're gonna help me get out of here."
"Why would I do that?" Caitlin asked her.
"Listen, there is no way you are getting down that cliff all by yourself. So, you need me to help you out, and I can't get out of here without you. I might even throw in some wardrobe tips for free on the way out." Frost says, looking over her clothes. "Because sooner or later, Zoom is gonna kill me, and you and the kid are going to outlive your purpose. So how about we work together to get out of here?"
MJ and Caitlin both looked at one another, unsure if they should trust her. MJ looked over to the man in the iron mask and wondered how they could help him. Frost's powers might help with his cell, but Frost's cell appeared to be specific to herself. However, they still had no way of getting out of the mountainous cave they were currently trapped within.
A few minutes later, Caitlin was rushing around Killer Frost's cage with help from MJ. They were messing with a few wires and Caitlin's mind was going a million miles a minute. Teaming up with a frozen, evil murderer wasn't one of her best ideas, but neither of them wanted to play the damsel in distress for very long.
"Tick tock." Killer Frost hummed from inside the cage.
She had barely stopped her slow, languid pacing since they had begun their little project, and it was starting to get a bit dizzying to watch.
"We are going as fast as we can." Caitlin snapped.
"Well, you'd better go faster," Frost said. "Zoom will be back any minute."
"I could just leave you in there, you know," Caitlin said, her voice laced with annoyance as she attached another wire.
"Oh, but you want to go home so badly," Frost countered.
MJ asked, "So how did this happen to you?" as she set the wires up.
"Not sure," she said. "I woke up one day, cold and pale. Thought I was sick." Killer Frost held up her hand and a little stream of steaming ice poured from her fingertips. "Turns out, I was something else entirely."
"Did you get hit by the Dark Matter from the particle accelerator explosion?" Caitlin asked.
"Yes," Frost said, dropping her arm. "Right after I flunked out of medical school. Had to move back in with my mother."
Caitlin raised an eyebrow. "That couldn't have been fun," she said. "If she's anything like mine, I mean."
"Really?" Frost asked. "Is yours a frigid narcissist, too?"
"Cold as ice," Caitlin agreed.
"Yeah. Mom was like that ever since Charlie died." Frost commented.
Caitlin's hand paused on a few wires. "Who's Charlie?" she asked.
Frost said, "My brother."
"I never had a brother or sister," Caitlin admitted.
"Really? So, why was Mom such a cold bitch on Earth?" Frost asks.
"I couldn't say," said Caitlin. "I haven't been close to her in years."
"Wow. Two of you with mommy issues, and me with daddy issues." MJ commented with a scoff. "We should start a club."
"What, Dad wouldn't let you sneak off to party with your friends?" Frost asks.
"That, and beating me, my sister, and my mother up," MJ stated, getting silence from Frost. "Yeah, not a great childhood."
She put the last piece of her work into place and stood before Frost's cage. The white-haired ice queen moved to face her. "So," she said. "How is this going to get me out of here?"
"The electrical current in the wire should heat up the carbine, which in turn should speed up the electrons. The faster they move-"
"The weaker its molecular structure becomes," Killer Frost finished.
"Exactly," Caitlin agreed, surprised that she had understood.
"I studied every once in a while," Frost smiled.
"Well, when it gets hot enough, it should make the carbine as fragile as glass," Caitlin continued.
"And then..." she said. "We can get out of here." Killer Frost nodded. "Let's give it a whirl."
She stepped back a couple of steps and Caitlin shoved herself forward on the lever. MJ gave her a little hand to help push the lever, and they finished together. Sparks blew up from her contraption, but in only a second, the glass had sparked and then gone dark.
Caitlin picked up a hammer from the ground, exchanged nods with Killer Frost, and then slammed it against the glass.
The entire pane shattered into a million pieces. The frost on her face protected her for a second, but it didn't take long for her to straighten up and start to grin.
MJ let out a disbelieving laugh. "It had actually worked!"
"Well...," Frost said, stepping out of her cage. "It looks like you've got a little bit of badass in you after all."
Caitlin smiled, but the moment was interrupted by the pounding sound that had filled the room from time to time since she had arrived. Caitlin frowned and walked over to the masked man, still trapped in his cage. "What are we going to do about this guy?"
"Oh, Caity," Killer Frost said with a sigh. "I don't think he's ever going home."
MJ looked back and noticed that Frost was creating a mist in her hand. "Ah, shit."
MJ then jumped and tackled Caitlin out of the way, and they both looked to see Frost was going for a second punch. "What are you doing? I thought we had a deal."
"Ugh," Killer Frost said, rolling her eyes. "Are all of you on your Earth this gullible?"
MJ considered the question and hummed. "A little. Depending on the person."
Caitlin then grabbed MJ's hand and took off running, but Killer Frost sent a stream of ice toward the ground, and the girls skidded on it, slipping and sliding into the wall. Caitlin slammed her head into the wall first, while MJ skidded to a halt and ended up hitting her back against it.
"Ow!" Both of them exclaimed as they saw Frost preparing to kill them.
"Heels aren't the best on ice, are they?" Killer Frost commented, walking slowly toward them, like a tiger stalking its prey. "You know, once I saw you, I realized why Zoom didn't kill me. Because I look just like you."
MJ looked to Caitlin and then back at Frost. "Ew. That means Zoom has a thing for you?"
"What?" Caitlin asked, seriously lost. "Ew."
"Now he won't need me anymore."
Another icicle formed in her hand, and without hesitation, she let it go.
Caitlin watched the icicle shoot toward her. She tensed, bracing for impact. This was it; her last moments would be spent in some dark dungeon. The last face she saw would be that of her traitorous doppelganger. She would never see her friends again, the people she loved, like Barry. She would never become Caitlin Snow-Allen.
Then Zoom appeared out of nowhere. The icicle didn't stab into Caitlin.
It rammed itself into Killer Frost.
Her eyes widened with icy-blue surprise and she gasped, choking on Zoom's grip around her neck. Caitlin clapped a hand over her mouth.
Frost's body had crumpled to the floor, dead.
EARTH-1:
Peter took Angelica's request seriously and decided to just follow what she said. He was at home, eating some stew that May had made from leftovers. She had been worried about him not coming home the previous night, so she decided to take him away from the city for a change of scenery.
Peter found himself being driven somewhere out in the middle of nowhere. When they pulled up to a strange house in the middle of nowhere, he realized there was someone outside and was shocked when he realized that someone was outside chopping up some wood.
May opened the door and approached him with a smile. "Henry. I'm glad you got the message."
"From the sound of things, he needed this," Henry said as Peter stepped out of the car and saw his dad. "Hey, slugger."
"She told you what happened?" Peter asks as he approached his dad.
"A little," Henry said as he gave his son a hug. "Sorry to hear about that. How's Barry taking it?"
"Better than me, I guess," said Peter as he sighed.
As Henry invited them inside, May was giving herself a quick tour while Peter and Henry were having a conversation. Meanwhile, Peter was also doing some exploring, looking at the few photos that Henry had of the old house they used to live in.
"So, it turns out that Hunter is Zoom?" Henry asked as he sat in the chair and Peter joined him on the other end.
"Yeah, it's...been a lot." Peter sighed as he recalled everything. "Earth-2, the fact I am now training a new Spider-Kid."
"Yeah, I saw the three of you on the news," Henry recalled the fight against the Spider-Slayer. "You guys teaming up with that Spider-Woman now?"
"Not exactly," said Peter, sighing as he recalled Spider-Woman. "She seemed to want to do good, but we don't really know who she is."
Well, secrets are kept for a reason," Henry guessed and took a sip of his tea. "You of all people should know that."
"Well, since Barry doesn't have his speed, Garick is going to be doing who knows what to him," Peter said with a sigh.
Henry asked, "Garrick?"
"Yeah, why?" Peter wondered.
"My mother's maiden name was Garrick," Henry explained as he took a drink. "So, what do you plan to do now?"
Peter guessed, "Try to work on a way to gain the speed necessary to get through that portal." He added, "Angelica said that she has this drive that can help you accomplish that."
Henry looked at May, who let out a chuckle, followed by Henry doing the same. Peter was only now becoming confused as he realized they were in on something he wasn't.
"What? What's so funny?" asked Peter.
Henry said, "Kid, you've been had." He apologized. "We came up with that excuse to get you out of the Labs for the day."
Peter was shocked as he looked at May and saw she basically confirmed it. "Hey, we needed you to take better care of yourself. And I went over this when you were in fifth grade and working on that miniature working model of…whatever the hell that was for the science fair."
"Fair enough," said Peter, sighing and looking at Henry. "I am just worried about MJ."
Henry smiled as he saw why he had been so worried. "You love her, don't you?"
Peter sighed and put his head in his hands. "Yeah. Kind of a terrible time to come to that conclusion, isn't it? And now I might never be able to tell her."
"Hey, no, don't go into that mindset yet," Henry said. "You're not giving up, are you?"
"Never," Peter promises.
"Then you still have something worth fighting for," Henry said and looked at May. "How about I help?"
EARTH-2:
After successfully apprehending the two girls who had previously escaped from their beds, Hunter proceeded to restrain them once again with handcuffs. Once the task was complete, he removed his mask, revealing his face to the girls standing before him.
Hunter said, "Do that to him, he'll die." He warned the two of them. He approached MJ and figured she had been the one to free them from their shackles. "So, how did you do it?"
Caitlin warned Hunter, "Stay away from her; I don't want her getting hurt."
"I just want to go home," MJ said as she started to break down. "Take us back to Earth."
"I've been measuring my success by the count of victims I've had. But now, I'm going to start counting the number of worlds I conquered." Zoom states as he decides to upgrade his game. "You want to go home? Let's go. After all, I still have a few other pests left to kill."
The Watcher sighed as he knew that things were going to get worse before they got better. "This...is going to be hard to watch."
After the chaotic events involving Wells and Jesse getting almost kidnapped and fighting off the strength metahuman, Barry found himself back at STAR Labs, unsure of what to do next. He felt guilty for not being able to assist Bobby in fighting the metahuman due to his lack of powers. He needed to get his speed back to help, especially with the uprising in criminals that they can't get to with their group.
At 5:30 AM, he woke up after a restless night of tossing and turning. The emptiness of the bed and the silence made it difficult for him to sleep. He decided to take an early bus to the city and arrived at STAR Labs, which was quiet. He sat for a while, feeling tired but not wanting to close his eyes, and looked at his suit.
A voice broke the silence: "Wow."
He turned around and saw Wells standing in the doorway with a cup of coffee.
"You are here early."
Barry shrugged. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep."
Wells made a vague, unsympathetic noise. "Me neither."
"I know that we were able to take him down without my powers, and Bobby did well without me," he said, trailing off. "But nothing really seems to matter at this point. I have no idea how to get Caitlin back home without my speed."
"We can't, Allen," Wells said quietly.
Barry shut his eyes for a moment, feeling the now familiar sensation of despair wash over him. "What are we going to do?" he whispered.
Wells rubbed the bridge of his nose, pushing up his glasses. "He tried to kidnap me, probably because he thought I was Harrison Wells from this Earth. He was thinking about another guy, but I just... I can't help but think... I still haven't paid for what I've done."
Barry tilted his head. "What does that mean?"
Wells rubbed his face again and came around to stand beside Barry on the other side of the desk. "I thought when we closed the breaches that I could just forget about everything I've done, but I can't. But I realize what I can do." He turned to Barry seriously. "You are going to get your speed back, Allen. And I'm gonna help you do that."
"How?"
"By creating another particle accelerator explosion."
A/N: So…this wasn't intentional, but literally as I was in the middle of writing, I realized something. I wrote a plot similar to the recent Spider-Man comics. Think about it: Peter is trying to get back to MJ, who is in a parallel universe and is willing to do anything to save her. Sound familiar?! Just be glad there's no Paul in either reality.
