"Every time, an unpredicted ending." Bunnie laughed. "I'm glad I've been a part of this. Still, we have one bachelor remaining, and I believe he's coming right up!"
The sound of plastic rubber wheels was heard scraping against the nearby parking lot. A green hedgehog could be seen speeding across row after row of vacant parking lots. Only after he jumped the curb could Manic be identified at all. He hit the side ramp to perform a nightmare flip with an impressive landing on his hands, getting rooted for by both the men and women. Still on his hands, Manic pulled off a quick manual before he turned the board over to brake. He let himself down on his feet again to face thrilled applause.
Manic - Age: 24 - Height: 180cm - Looking For: A vivacious queen. - Skills: Skateboarding, Stealing, Weapons, Fashion.
Fashion was an interesting take. His purple Jordans, black jeans, graphic T-shirt, open brown leather jacket, and gold chains made him look like he came straight from Portland.
"Manic the Hedgehog, ladies! We may have just saved the best for last!" Bunnie added.
"CLEARANCE!" Manic yelled into the microphone.
Bunnie laughed. "First bid once again two hundred pounds. Best of luck!"
Another, albeit not on Sonic's level, rush of bids came in just a second later. Bunnie handed the microphone over to Antoine to work his magic.
"First bid is Rouge the Bat, I believe giving her a place in every stage two round. Three hundred pounds by Whisper the Wolf. Four hundred pounds placed by Perci the Bandicoot, but strangely not by Staci! The half grand bid goes to Amy Rose, surely a familiar bidder by this time. Six hundred pounds already raised by Giovanna the Hedgehog. Gotta admit, the two look really alike. And here we halt." Antoine took a break, handing the mic back.
After a couple seconds, the next bid arose. "Seven hundred pounds by Rouge sets her back in the lead! Once again, Amy causes some trouble, this time with eight hundred. Both would fit the description of vivacious, that's for sure." She joked.
Beneath Bunnie's notice, Amy and Rouge were staring at each other, very displeased. Both had financially battled for much of the afternoon, and neither of them was going to let it go any time soon.
Rouge turned back to Bunnie. "ONE THOUSAND!" She yelled, staring back at Amy vindictively, not that she was disturbed by it.
"I see we've got some very hostile competition this round." Bunnie remarked. "Not that I can say I'm surprised. 1100 pounds placed by Staci this time, and right with it comes 1200 from her sister Perci. Not this time! Staci immediately recovers with 1300 pounds. It seems we've got two concurrent battles on our hands."
Once more, the individual placed a bid. "Whisper rejoins the game with the 1400 pound bid. Luckily for her, Tangle's unable to cause trouble from where she is."
Tangle pulled back the dark technician's window and waved to Whisper. She waved back. Tangle was shortly joined by Ash as they quickly greeted the audience. She continued to stare out the window until he placed one of his hands atop hers. She looked back at him and blushed, after which he promptly closed the window again.
That wasn't visible from stage, but Bunnie still understood. "Next bid from Rouge! She places the one and a half grand bid for this round."
Rouge turned back to Amy, smirking spitefully. Amy blew a fuse. "One thousand. Eight hundred." She said.
"1800 pounds from Amy! That is one of the largest overbids placed in this event!" Bunnie announced. "And it looks like she might take it too! With 1800 pounds, Amy Rose going once, going twice, GOING OUT with Manic the Hedgehog!"
Amy received intense applause from the crowd in the standing ovation. Between her and Rouge, almost everybody wanted her to win, and she did. Manic grabbed his skateboard, showing off with a flashy M80 on his way to meet Amy. They hadn't seen each other in a long time, and Manic was looking forward to it. He stopped with a powerslide and promptly picked up his board.
"Good to see ya again, Ames." Manic flirted. Sonic would talk in that exact style, and to hear it from Manic drove her crazy. His handsome smile only amplified her excitement.
"You sure sound pleased to see me." Amy backtalked as Manic pulled her in for a hug. "You've changed a lot in the past few years, too."
"I can skate faster than I can run." He explained. "And you certainly don't look disappointed."
"Ç'est le jeu!" Antoine concluded. "Thank you to all sixty of you who participated. With your help, the Freedom Fighters raised an unreal twelve thousand pounds!"
The cheering only continued after that statement.
"Remember, none of the bachelors drove here themselves, so it's up to you to take them home. Now we're gonna have some social time before taking down our setup here. And to our ten winners: Don't have too much fun!" Antoine teased.
