Hmmmm… Do I get any extra tries or is it final after I pick one?

The smile on her face falls off, "Hmmmm… Oh I know." She smiles again, this time with more excitement, and snaps her finger, materializing a small box floating right next to her, "In this box, there are sticks with a yes or no engraved on it. If I take out a yes stick, then you have one extra chance to change your result, while a no stick means no. Simple."

…I am really starting to hate you and your randomness.

Her smile disappears, replaced with a sad smile, "It is boring to be able to see the results before it happens." The stationary boxes start to float now, "By using my own powers, I can make it so that I won't be able to know the results of a mortal's decision. And what better way to do it by a term you mortals created… Gacha."

…Oi, if this is your way of getting my sympathy, then tough luck. It won't work. I've seen lots of tropes around about immortality and boredom, so no, you won't be getting any sympathy from me.

She blinks then laughs loudly, "Hahahahahahahah! Sympathy! The mortal said sympathy! Wh-what would I do with a mortal's sympathy?! I have no need for such a thing!"

Alright, alright. It was my mistake in thinking that a goddess such as you is able to understand a human.

She ignores me while her laughter, one that annoys me to no end, slowly settles down, "Haha… Oh, I haven't laughed that much in a while… Probably a few eons was the last time I laughed so much. The mortals that I met were such a bore, most of them being too shocked, in denial over their death, or blaming me for their death!" She lets out a small sigh then looks right at me.

"Only a few mortals were interesting… A shame that they are gone now… Anyway, I guess I should reward you for making me laugh. You can either have both a weapon and skill or two weapon or skill."

That's… Generous and suspicious of you. I was expecting for you to throw me away. So, what's the catch?

She shakes her head, "No catch. This is a reward after all… I reward those who are able to satisfy me. Now, do you have any more questions to ask before picking your box?"

…Damn, I can't think of anything…

"If nothing else, then go on and pick what you want. I am quite dying to watch what would you do in the new world."

Wait… You don't know what I would do in that world? I thought you could see the results or something like that?

She blinks then slowly furls her fan, "You don't need to know that." She then lightly smiles, "But… Maybe, I will tell you if you satisfy me."

…Wonderful.

Haaaaah, I pick the skill box. No weapon since there is a chance of it being used against me or me losing it.

"Oh, you don't need to worry about losing your weapon or it being used against you. Your weapon will be soul bound to you and no one else will be able to use your weapon."

…Oh. Huh… Shit… This is a hard choice since I can pick two. Oh right, how about my reroll chance?

She blinks then tilts her head, "Hmm… I guess I can give you one free reroll for each." She keeps tilting her head until it does a full complete rotation.

…I'll just ignore that horrifying move and thank you.

Now… Meh, fuck it. I'll go with weapon and skill.

She nods and the boxes slowly float over to me. I look down to see that I have a body again, albeit this one being transparent, prompting me to glance at her.

"Go on, get a move on mortal."

Call me Hachiman instead of mortal.

Without waiting for her reply, I plunge my right hand into the weapon box while my left hand into the skill box. I quickly take both hands out and see 4975430312 numbers circling around my right hand and 31079 for my left.

She suddenly disappears from her spot then instantly reappears right next to me, scaring the hell out of me, "Oh… You got the Portable Patriot Sam System as your weapon and Copycat as your skill."

…Excuse me? Did you just say a Patriot Sam System? As in that rocket propelling vehicle in… Ummm, I forgot that modern warfare strategy game, and Copycat?

She nods then snaps her fingers again, for like the millionth time here, "I heard that. I just like to snap my fingers as my way to use my powers. Don't hate." She glares at me, prompting me to clear my throat and mutter a small sorry.

She drops her glare then coughs, "Ahem, turn your attention to these two panels to read about your weapon and skill."

Huh, didn't even notice the two floating blue panels above me.

Let me just read the Portable Patriot Sam System… Holy shit, this is way too overpowered. It got infinite ammo, I can change the missile type, it can disappear and appear whenever I want it, and the targeting system works by either AI or manually selecting where I want the missile to hit in a range of 5 kilometers as long as I got vision of the target… The downsides for it though… Limited to a 30 minute reload time for each volley, fragile with a 24 hour repairing time no matter the damage it takes, and requires spacious room to be summoned.

…Eh, still overpowered, though I can probably only use it as a surprise attack.

Now, on to the skill… Copycat, though I can already guess what it does from the name… And I was right. I'm able to fully copy… Arts? I guess that's the power or something native to the world? We'll see later. For one minute. Though, I can only copy 1 Arts at one time and if I switch to another Arts or I exceed the time limit, then the previous Arts can't be used for the next 24 hours. Oh, ooooohhh, it says that this skill can evolve if I practice enough.

Nice. Overpowered as hell but I'm sure that I need to pay some price for using the skill.

"Finished reading?"

I snap my head back to her almost on instinct then I quickly glance back at the panels for one last quick read. Yeah, I'm done and I don't want to reroll.

She nods then again snaps her fingers, "Good. Now, time to pick out a starting region for you. By random, of course." A new box appears right in front of me, prompting me to roll my eyes and sigh at the fact that this goddess likes to play random.

I stick my right hand into it then quickly pull out with the number 19 on it. I show it to her and her face morphs into a weird smile.

"Oh dear. You picked Aegir as your starting point… A country known for being a survival of the fittest and most of the cities located underwater in protective domes. Oh and the sea is quite literally alive and wants to take control of the world and everybody."

…Mother fucker bitch son of a damn I hate this and everybody here fuck.

Can I please reroll?!

She shakes her head while broadly smiling because she enjoys my suffering, "Nope. I only said that you can reroll for only a weapon and skill. Don't worry, if you're able to survive, then you would possibly be the strongest being in Terra, that's the name of the planet by the way."

Then her voice really grows quiet, "Though, I expect to see you here again sooner than I expected…"

…Well fuck you too for that vote of confidence.

She blinks then wryly smiles, "Now now, no need to curse the Kami-sama that can quite literally help you right now."

Say no more, please help me oh great Kami-sama!

"Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…"

"No. Bye bye."

FUCK YOU SHITTY GODDESS BI –

With that as my last thought and the image of her smirking at me, I black out.

A/N

Readers, please press F for 8man. I never expected to get Aegir, out of all 21 places I put into the wheel, as the starting point for 8man. So, for the weapon and skill part, I was torn on just sticking to 1 only or 2, so I just use RNG and it spewed out 2, so yeah. I got the Portable Patriot Sam System, courtesy of HaMCRI from , as the weapon and Copycat, courtesy of ShiningOne from AO3, as the skill. Congratulation to both of you since 8man quite literally requires them to even have the chance to survive Aegir, one more so.

Also, thank you to the rest who threw in their own weapons and skills suggestion! There's a possibility of me using your suggestion in future fics, so again, thank you.

Anyway, onto the comments!

RandomGuest2020 - I just uploaded a 8man x Blue Archive fic, so there you go

pernguyen1011 - sorry, RNG didn't choose you

Ermano - I know, I know, blame my brain on that. Sorry, RNG didn't choose you. Thank you

HaMCRI - Congrats on being picked by RNG

Hachiman fan - I know, I know, again, blame my brain for not wanting to write my older fics. Sorry, RNG didn't choose you. Thank you
