The sun was hot and beating down on Juno and her companions. They had walked for several hours and had run into one or two of those creatures, but never had any trouble with them because those creatures were so slow and flimsy. Juno and her companions suddenly came upon a crashed bus, but before Ibuki and Free could check out the bus they were shot at.
"Get down!" shouted Louis as he pulled his pistol from his coat and hid Juno and Cosmo behind him.
Ibuki and Free aimed their weapons at the gunman who was a wolf wearing a Cherryton school outfit, but before anymore shooting could happen. A labrador dog wearing the same outfit as the wolf put his hands up to stop the trouble.
"Put the gun down!" begged the dog as the wolf still aimed at the two lions. "They're not those creatures!"
The wolf looked at Ibuki and Free with distrust, but he lowered his weapon and they did the same. "I'm sorry!" sighed the wolf. "I thought that you were one of them."
Juno and Louis saw that the wolf and the dog was none other then Legoshi and Jack. The four friends embraced each other, but then Haru the dwarf rabbit, Pina the dall sheep, Peach the sheep, and Sheila the cheetah got out of the bus and joined the others.
"I can't believe it." laughed Juno with joy. "You all made it out of the city. But, how did you anyway?"
Legoshi crossed his arms and looked down at his feet and then back at Juno. "Well just an hour after you left with your cousin, Juno," he explained trying to stay clam. "Some students came into the drama club where we were working on an upcoming play and they looked real sick." Legoshi could feel his flesh crawling because he lived through a nightmare, but he had to tell Juno the rest of his story. "They started attacking some of the others club members!"
Louis stepped forward and looked Legoshi in the eye and wanted more answers. "How did you escape with Haru and the others?!"
Legoshi looked like he was about to throw up, but he took a deep breath and continued with his story even though he didn't want to. "Anyway after all hell started to break loose the police arrived and ordered everyone to evacuate the school."
"It was awful!" added Pina who was sitting against a tree. "We all got into the school buses and the drivers drove us out of the area and we…"
Haru cut Pina off. "The bus drivers were given information by the police for locations that would be used for rescue, medical help, and safety." she stated with a look of sorrow. "We were on our way to the airport, but our drive passed out and crashed the bus. You know the rest, Louie!"
Louis could tell that his friends had gone through hell like he and the others. He knew that the only chance for everyone's survival was to get to the airport, but he turned his attention to Peach because her left arm was bleeding. He walked up to her with a look of concern and fear on his face, but Peach backed away from him.
"Is your arm alright, Peach?"
Peach let out a sigh of relief because she thought that Louis was going to hurt her, but she now realized that he was just looking out for her. "Yes, Louis!" she stated with a smile. "I hurt it in the bus when crashed, but I'm fine."
Louis raised an eyebrow, but he dropped the matter of Peach's injury. Pina on the other hand had something more on his mind then Peach and getting to the airport and that was Cosmo.
"You are so beautiful." sighed Pina as he circled Cosmo to get a good look at her body. "Your breasts are huge," he stated with a look of awe on his face.
"Thank you for noticing!"
Pina then placed his hands on Cosmo's hips. "I love a girl who have hips that don't lie." he said with a charming seductive tone of voice. "How about you and I find a place to…."
Legoshi cut Pina off and stopped him form trying to score with Cosmo by grabbing him by his horns. "This is no time for women, Pina!" he growled. "We have to get to the airport!"
With that everyone started walking down the road to reach the airport, but things began to turn bad. After an hour Peach started to walk in a slow and weak manner. Sheila gave her friend some water, but she just threw it up. The group could tell that she was getting sick and Louis was really concerned for the others health.
Louis crossed his arms and stared at Sheila with a look of fear and anger on his face. "Sheila, help Peach walk!" he ordered as he looked around to see if any of those creatures were around.
Peach looked at her friend Sheila with concern. "You won't leave me? Will you, Sheila?" she asked with tears building up in her eyes. Sheila only smiled and picked Peach up and carried her friend on her back. Peach could tell that Sheila would not leave her behind at all. "Thank you, Sheila." she cried with joy.
After one more hour of walking the group came to the airport. The airport was not a huge business one, but a small one used for caring small things and vary few passengers in the planes that sat in some hangers. Still they knew that they needed to find a safe haven and flying was the only option. They felt uneasy because there was no one in sight. They moved toward one of the main offices with caution because those creatures were most likely around.
Ibuki and Free reached the office door, but kept the others back. "Let me go first!" whispered Free as he drew his pistol from his coat.
The lion slowly opened the door, kept his weapon ready and walked in. The office looked like it had been abandoned for mouths because trash was on the floor, work orders scattered around the office desk, a knocked over computer and a rotting half eaten sandwich sat next to a knocked over beer can. Free let out a sigh of relief and turned to the door.
"It's clear!"
Louis turned to Sheila with a smile as the group entered the office. The cheetah still was carrying her friend on her back, but the sheep was almost unconscious. Louis helped Sheila rest Peach on a coach in the office.
Juno looked at Peach with concern and then turned her attention to Legoshi. "Peach needs medical help, Legoshi!" she whimpered placing a caring hand on the sick sheep's head. "She's burning up!" she gasped.
The male wolf looked at the worried she-wolf with little hope. "I'll try and find a medical first-aid kit!" he said trying to help her feel less worried.
Legoshi headed for a closet that was next to a boarded up window. The wolf looked in the closet and to his relief he found a medic first-aid kit, but what he didn't expect were the mangled hands that burst through the spaces between the boards on the window and grabbed him.
"HELP ME SOMEONE!"
Pina raced to Legoshi who was trying to free himself from the hands attacking him through the window. The dall sheep searched for a weapon and grabbed the first thing he found and that was a box cutter sitting on a cupboard shelf.
Ibuki joined Legoshi and Pina at the window. The lion pulled out his pistol from his coat and tried to point his weapon at the ghoul outside, but a horse ghoul reached out and knocked he weapon from Ibuki's hand. The dall sheep continued to slash at hands of the ghoul that was attacking his friend, but Pina could do vary little with a box cutter.
"Stand aside!" shouted Ibuki as he pulled a bowie knife from his coat.
The lion slashed at the ghoul's hands that clang to Legoshi. The knife cut through the ghoul's fingers like a hot knife through butter and the wolf pulled free. Legoshi quickly picked up Ibuki's pistol and aim right at the ghoul and fired. The ghoul took a hit in the chest and was pushed back, but moved back toward the window to continue it's attack.
Peach who was lying on the coach was awoken by the shot. "What's happening?" she weakly asked.
Shelia took the sheep in her arms. "It's alright, Peach!" she gasped as she held her friend tightly.
The ghoul was still trying to get in through the window, but Legoshi took aim at the ghoul's head. "I'm going to kill you Mother Fucker!" he growled as he fired the pistol. The ghoul took a hit in the head and fell to the ground lifeless.
"Pina looked through the window at the lifeless ghoul. "That is one dead dog!" he said with a weak laugh.
Juno who was standing near the office entrance door suddenly froze in terror. A horse ghoul with half his face missing wearing pajamas and a night robe was making his way through the door and heading right for her. She was to scared to run, but just before the ghoul could grab her, Free shot the ghoul. The ghoul was struck in the side of the face and fell out the door, but there were ten more ghouls making their way for the office.
"More of them!"
Louis grabbed Juno and pulled her deeper into the office. "Lock that door!" he shouted with fear.
Free slammed the door shut and locked it, but he also pushed a file cabinet against the door to strengthen the lock. The lion knew things were getting bad, but they got worse. Jack had come running in from the office kitchen. "There are more of things everywhere!" he said with a shudder. "We're trapped in hear!" he added as he leaned against the wall.
