Log 22: Another Christmas episode!?

Cover Image: Gwen shrieked in fright as a disgusting looking troll doll exploded out of the Christmas gift she opened up. Behind her were Ben and Yukiko, who were laughing hysterically at their successful prank.

"W-what…" Gwen stared at her hands, confused. Her hands were covered in red mittens with small white puff balls stitched on. "These almost look like-"

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Yukiko shouted. The heiress was dressed in a Santa dress, a Santa hat adorning her head with red boots on her feet.

"EEEEKKKK!" Gwen screamed, jumping cartoonishly in the air. The sorceress landed ungracefully on the ground.

Yukiko peered down at her cousin, wondering if Gwen was going to get off of the ground. When Gwen didn't move, she shrugged her shoulders and picked up Gwen, setting the girl back onto her feet. The heiress brushed the dust-off Gwen's shoulders, smiling brightly at her. "Merry Christmas, Gwen!"

"C-Christmas…?" Gwen mumbled. She shook her head, getting back her bearings. "It's not Christmas."

"Of course, it is." Yukiko countered. "Just take a look at the calendar." Yukiko pointed at the suspiciously ruined looking calendar on the wall. Gwen stepped closer to the calendar, getting a better look at it. She saw that it was in the month of December with pink sharpie circling their birthdays, and a red color circling the 25th.

"But that's not right… it's the middle of the summer…" Gwen's eyes looked up, noticing that there were several pages torn from the calendar. "Hey, wait a minute! There are pages tor-"

RIP!

Suddenly the calendar was torn off of the wall by Yukiko, the heiress tossing it out of the window and burning it to ashes. She turned back to Gwen, smiling as she didn't just destroy their only calendar. "You didn't see that."

Gwen stared at her older cousin with a hint of fear. "U-uh… Yukiko? What are you doing?"

"What do you mean? Isn't it obvious? This is our Christmas episode!" Yukiko answered.

"We already did a Christmas episode."

"We're doing another one."

"There isn't a need. If people want to read a Christmas episode, then they can just go back to the main-" Yukiko's finger pushed itself against her lips, shutting her up. Gwen's shoulders slumped, her eyes glaring at Yukiko.

"That episode didn't come out during Christmas. But this one will!" Yukiko exclaimed happily.

Gwen folded her arms, turning away. "Welp, have fun with that. I refuse to get involved in whatever stupid idea this is."

Yukiko tilted her head. "What do you mean, Gwen? You're already involved!"

"No, I'm not."

"Have you not noticed the clothes you're wearing?"

Gwen blinked several times before finally taking more notice in her current outfit. She was dressed similarly to Yukiko, but with green and red stockings on her legs. Red and white boots covered her feet and a Santa hat on her head. The big notice was the cat print on her usual shirt was also stitched onto the front of the dress. Gwen slowly turned back to Yukiko, shocked and a little scared. "H-how did you…?"

"Christmas magic!"

"Liar!"

Yukiko grabbed Gwen's wrist, dragging her outside of the Rustbucket. "We have to hurry, Gwen!"

"Hurry for what!?" Gwen exclaimed, fighting back against Yukiko's pulling.

"To save Christmas!"

"We already saved Christmas! And that entire ordeal was confusing enough as it was!" Gwen shouted back. Unfortunately for her, she was smaller than Yukiko thus the heiress won their physical exchange. Yukiko held Gwen in a tight grip so that she didn't attempt to run away.

"Enough, Gwen. We can't leave our reindeer waiting too long!" Yukiko exclaimed, dragging her to the other side of the Rustbucket.

"What reindeer-" Her question died when she caught sight of Wildmutt dressed in a reindeer costume, the reins to the big cart were held between his teeth. In the cart was Kenny, who was dressed as an elf, his face burning brightly in embarrassment. The sorceress blinked for another several moments at the absurdity of the sight before her. "I-I want to ask how you got Wildmutt into that outfit, but at the same time I'm too scared to do so."

"Good girl." Yukiko patted her head. "Let's get on our ride and off to Santa's workshop!"

"His workshop…?" Gwen questioned as she and Yukiko sat down next to Kenny. She turned to her brother. "You look nice-"

"Please don't, Gwen." He cut her off. His sister stopped talking, understanding his embarrassment well whenever Yukiko got an idea into her head.

The heiress picked up the ropes of the reins, whipping them. "Take off, Wildmutt!"

"RAH!" He didn't move, obviously upset about something.

Yukiko frowned at the misbehaving 'reindeer' and pulled out her fan. She smacked it against the Vulpimancer's behind, eliciting a yelp from the dog alien. "Get moving!" That was all the incentive he needed to pull the cart off into the streets.

FLASH!

Ben fell into Yukiko's arms as he turned back to normal and fell back into the cart. It slowed down to a stop, luckily right in front of their destination, a warehouse. Funnily enough, Ben was still dressed in the reindeer costume, which was a little baggy on him now. "Happy?" He glared at Yukiko.

The heiress hugged him tightly, ruffling his hair. "Very. You can rest out here, Ben."

"Good." He laid down on the cart as the others got out of it.

"How come he gets to just sit out here!?" Gwen complained.

"Because his part is done with and if he knows better, he won't run off back to the RV unless he wishes to suffer severe consequences." Yukiko warned him.

"Whatever!" Ben huffed, turning away.

"Alright, you two, let's go." Yukiko led them inside of the building. Gwen followed with Kenny behind her. Once she was inside, Gwen got a good look at what was happening. The inside of the warehouse had been changed up to resemble a workshop, but there were only three people working at the desks. All three were teenagers that Gwen recognized.

"Yu, Rise, and Naoto!?" Gwen exclaimed, shocked to see them.

"Hello, Gwen-chan!" Rise happily waved at her. The idol was dressed in an elf costume, though the top was cut at the midriff, and she had a short skirt on with green and red stockings on her legs. In the idol's hands was some kind of poorly constructed toy airplane.

"Hey, Gwen." Yu waved at them. He was also dressed as an elf; his outfit was a bit more stylish like a suit. A red and white necktie hung loose around his neck. Gwen had to figure Yukiko thought he looked handsome in it, to which she had to agree with.

"Hello, Gwendolyn." Naoto nodded at them. Her outfit was an elf costume and more conservative than Rise's, the skirt reaching down to her ankles and the top was covered by a green coat. On her head was a hat that resembled her normal one, but it was green instead of blue.

Gwen waved at them before turning back to Yukiko. "W-what are they doing?"

"Isn't it obvious? They're making toys for Christmas." Yukiko answered.

"Why are they making toys for Christmas!?"

"So, we can deliver the presents!"

"WHY!?" Gwen yelled, getting sick of the weirdness happening. "And where the heck is Grandpa!? He's the only one missing at this point!"

"Ho Ho Ho! Did someone call for Santa?" Max stepped out from the other room, dressed as Santa Claus.

"Santa Grandpa!" Yukiko happily hugged her grandfather.

"Why are you Santa?" Gwen asked.

"It's Christmas, Gwen. We have to get into the spirit of Christmas!"

"It's the middle of summer!" Gwen yelled.

Yu walked over patting Gwen on the head. "Calm down, Gwen. Sure, it's the middle of summer but isn't this fun?"

"Fun?" Gwen repeated.

"Yeah. We're all having fun doing this little Christmas game." He explained.

"But why!? There's no need to do all of this, is there!?"

"Well, there is a reason." Naoto said as she and Rise joined them. "Yukiko-senpai thought it'd be a good idea to deliver these gifts to some of the orphanages around town."

"She was really excited to do a theme, so she chose Christmas. We've been here all morning working on presents for the kids." Rise added.

Gwen's mouth opened wide, surprised that there was a genuinely good idea behind all of this. But something still confused her. "But if that was the case, then why didn't you just tell me?" Gwen asked Yukiko.

"I just like messing with you."

"I KNEW IT SELFISH!" Gwen shouted, angrily. Her little burst made everyone laugh at her. Gwen huffed, pissed and annoyed at being toyed around with all day. Though, a small smile did form on her lips. Even if Yukiko had been annoying all day, she was doing everything for a good reason and that's what Christmas is all about.

"HEY!" Ben shouted, catching everyone's attention. "Is that all the screen time I get!? I barely even got two lines in!"

"You're right, Ben." Yukiko clapped her hands. "You deserve a lot more than that."

Ben smirked. "At least you realize it-"

"You can carry all the presents since you decided to make this all about you!" Yukiko exclaimed. She pointed at the massive bag of gifts that her friends had finished putting together earlier, leaving Ben's jaw to drop, "I'll leave a list of the addresses of the orphanages for you!

Gwen smiled evilly. "Yeah, this is a good ending. Have fun, doofus!" She and everyone else left the warehouse, heading back to the Rustbucket, leaving Ben with the huge bag of presents.

"Oh man…!" Ben whined.
