Disclaimer: I own nothing that has to do with Star vs. The Forces of Evil

Same Night: Mewni

Bifrost Bridge

Star and Tom walk along the rainbow bridge towards the newly built Bifrost chamber.

Inside: Bifrost Observatory

Star and Tom approach Brunzetta, the all-seeing of the Nine Realms and the Bifrost guardian and keeper, as she stands on the control panel, holding the Bifrost sword, watching over the universe.

Brunzetta states to them, "You're late."

Star tells Brunzetta as she and Tom walk towards her, "Merriment can sometimes be a heavier burden than battle."

Brunzetta tells them, "Then you're both doing one of them incorrectly."

Star laughs a bit, "Perhaps. How fare the stars?" Tom separates from Star's side as they both walk around the Bifrost panel, Star to the left and Tom on the right.

Brunzetta answers, "Still shining. From here, Tom and I can see nine realms and ten trillion souls." Tom stops, and his eyes change to golden-yellow like Brunzetta's, who drives her sword into the control panel in the center of the observatory. The walls move a bit. Brunzetta looks at Tom, "You are getting better, Tom. How's the sight been treating you?"

Tom looks at Brunzetta, his eyes going normal, "It's been treating me well. I've been practicing more, getting better at controlling it. It's overwhelming at times."

Brunzetta assures Tom, "It will pass in time. Keep practicing, and you will understand that having the foresight can be a heavy burden, but with your stubbornness and determination, you will have it in no time." Tom smiles in appreciation.

Star asks Tom, confused, "Tom. I don't understand, why?" She's asking him why he wanted to learn about foresight and getting the abilities like Brunzetta.

Tom looks and tells Star, "Because when we were on Earth, I almost died-" Star looks down sadly, remembering that day very well, "-because I couldn't see that last Chitauri coming." Tom smiles sadly, "I'm not going to let something like that happen again." Star glances at him sadly. He notices her look, "Star." She looks at him, "I wanted this. I needed this." He's trying to make her understand, "I want to serve and protect my home in any way I can."

Smiling, Star tells Tom, "I have a bad habit in underestimating you, Tom." Tom smiles and looks down.

Brunzetta interrupts and looks at Star, "Do you recall what I taught you of the Convergence?"

Star answers as she steps up and looks out into space through the opening, "Yes. The alignment of the worlds. It approaches, doesn't it?" Tom walks closer to them.

Brunzetta explains, "The universe hasn't seen this marvel since before my watch began. Few can sense it. Even fewer can see it." She looks at Tom. He shakes his head, and she looks back into space, "But while its effects can be dangerous, it is truly beautiful." Tom's eyes change to golden-yellow again, looking out at the stars.

Star tells them lightly, "I see nothing."

Tom looks at Star and tells her knowingly, "Or perhaps that is not the beauty you seek."

Star chuckles for a moment before stepping closer as she looks out into space, "How is he?" She's asking about Marco.

Brunzetta smiles lightly, "He's quite clever, your mortal. He doesn't know it yet, but he studies the Convergence as well." She looks and steps down, "Even..." She cuts herself off as she looks up with a frown, confused.

Star asks Brunzetta, "What?" Brunzetta steps closer to the opening.

Brunzetta tells Star, "I can't see him." Star, alarmed, looks at Tom.

Tom narrows his eyes as he looks out into space, "I can't see him either. Or Jackie Lynn Thomas."

Aether

Jackie and Marco are floating together in 'another place', the Aether. It surrounds them like a protective shield.

Marco's and Jackie's emotionless eyes, covered in black, staried blankly forward. They subconsciously lean back, spreading their arms up and out to their sides, mouths open as if in pain but making no sound, the wind blowing their hair back.

Inside: Deserted Factory

Empty Room

Marco and Jackie wake up, confused and disoriented. They're back in the deserted factory building, lying on the concrete of an open, spaced room. A rock falls down, making a loud sound in the silent room. Marco still has his toque, with a few of his messy hair popping out of the toque.

Outside: Building

Thunder rumbles as Marco and Jackie run outside to where the car is, only to see Brittney talking to the police.

Brittney looks over and sees her two friends, "Jackie! Marco!" She runs over to the two, "Where the hell were you two?"

Jackie tells Brittney in disbelief as they meet up in the middle by the overturned cement truck, "Tell me you didn't call the police."

Brittney asks them, "Well, what was I supposed to do?"

Marco was a little mad, "Not call the police."

Brittney tells them, "I was freaking out!"

Jackie interrupts and explains to Brittney as it rains, "You call the cops, they call the Feds. Next thing you know, we have SHIELD crawling all over, 'area-51-ing' the place." The police go for cover as the heavy rain falls.

Brittney interrupts, "Jackie."

Marco continues, not seeing the real problem, "We had a stable gravitational anomaly. We had unimpeded access. Our only competition was ten years old!"

Brittney interrupts loudly, "Marco! You guys were gone for five hours!"

Marco looks at Brittney, shocked, "What?" Marco and Jackie shared a confused, surprised look. They hear the thunder rumbling and look around them, only to realize the rain is not falling on them.

Brittney comments, "That's weird." Jackie holds her hand out, but no rain falls on her. Surrounding them is a big dry circle.

Marco looks around, then looks to his left and sees Star standing meters away, staring at him. Tom was standing on her right, leaning on the cement wall, also staring at both him and Jackie.

Marco gently shoves the device against Brittney's gut, making her quickly grab it before it falls. Marco grabs Jackie's left arm and drags her as he walks to Star and Tom.

The rain follows Marco and Jackie as they walk away from Brittney, making the rain fall on her. Brittney flinches from the cold in the rain, commenting, "Typical."

Star walks towards Marco with a smile, "Marco." Marco stops, lets go of Jackie's arm, and punches Star hard on her right arm, making her yell in pain as she holds her right arm, "Oww!" Jackie looks at Marco, surprised.

Marco looks at Star, shocked, "Sorry, I just needed to make sure you were real. It's been a very strange day."

Star nods, "I am. Marco, what-" Marco punches her arm again, more gently, this time on her left arm, making her yell in pain again, "Oww!" With a protective look, Tom steps towards Marco, ready to pull out his dagger. Star quickly holds her arms out, stopping him. Star warns, "Tom."

Tom looks at Star in defense, "What? I let the first punch go." She gives him an unamused look. Tom looks at her seriously, "I'm only doing my job, protecting you." Star nods back. Tom looks away as he steps back.

Marco interrupts, demanding Star, "Where were you?"

Star fires back, "Where were you? Brunzetta and Tom cannot see you. Or you." She looks at Jackie.

Marco exclaims, "I was right here where you left me." He rants, "I was waiting, and then I was crying, and then I went out looking for you." He looks at her madly, "You said you were coming back!"

Star tells Marco gently, "I know, I know, but the Bifrost was destroyed. The Nine Realms erupted into chaos. Wars were raging. Marauders were pillaging. I had to put an end to the slaughter." Jackie looks at Tom questionably. Tom nods, confirming it.

Marco is reluctant to forgive Star, "As excuses go, it's not... terrible." He then remembers, "But I saw you on TV. You were-you were in New York!" He's still upset that he had to go into hiding, feeling like he should've helped more.

Jackie, watching and listening to the semi-couple argue, looks at Tom and points to him, mouthing 'You too'. Tom purses his lips, nodding as he shrugs, confirming that he was also in New York.

Star tells Marco softly, "Marco, I fought to protect you from the dangers of my world, but... I was wrong. I was a fool." She softly places her left hand on his cheek as she leans closer to him, "But I believe that Fate brought us together." Marco relaxed at her touch, "Marco, I don't know where you were or what happened, but I do know this..." She trails off.

Marco blushes as he looks down at Star's lips before looking at her eyes, he breathes out, "What?" Jackie steps back and walks closer to Tom.

Star is looking up at Marco's lips, "I know."

Marco puts his hands on Star's waist, looking at her hopefully, "You do?"

Star is confused but leans closer, "Do what?"

Marco repeats breathlessly, "What?" They lean closer and crash their lips together, kissing for the first time in 2 years.

They get interrupted by a shout. The couple separated to see Brittney running in the rain over to them, with her holding her coat above her head.

Brittney shouts, "Hey!" She runs over to them and looks around, indicating to the rain, "Is this you?" Star looks around at the rain. She notices Tom's look and his hand out to the rain. Star instantly stops it.

Jackie walks up to Brittney and points at Star and Marco, "Uh, they were kinda in the middle of something here." She notices Marco's unhappy look towards Brittney for interrupting his and Star's moment.

Brittney responds, "Um, I'm pretty sure we are getting arrested."

Marco points to Star and tells her, "Hold that thought." He grabs Jackie's arm, and they both walk over to the police.

Brittney turned to Star, looking her over, "Look at you, still all muscly and everything." She points and touches Star's arm. Star looks at her movements, "How's space?"

Star nods as she quickly flashes Brittney an awkward smile, "Space is fine." Tom walks up to Star's left side as Brittney stands on Star's right. They share a look before Tom looks away, somewhat bored.

Jackie and Marco stride up to one of the police officers. Marco grabs his attention, "Excuse me?"

The police officer looks between the two, "Are one of you Jackie Lynn Thomas?"

Jackie answers, "Yes."

The police officer looks at Jackie, "Do you know this man?" The police officer gestures to Justin, who's being patted down by a cop car.

Jackie tells the police officer, "He's my intern." She rolls her eyes, annoyed, "My intern's intern."

The police officer tells the two, "This is private property, and you're trespassing, the lot of you. You'll have to come with me." The police officer reaches out to take Jackie's arm as another does the same with Marco. Suddenly, a burst of Aether explodes from within them and blasts everyone backward, and breaks the car windows.

Star quickly shields Brittney as Tom lifts up his cape to cover his face as he steps back. Confused, Star then runs to Marco as Tom lowers his cape, looking surprised, and runs over to Jackie, both Marco and Jackie lying on the ground, Marco on Jackie's left.
