Jesse had been evaluating each of the injured people as they came in. Being new to Atlantis, he had no idea how to use the Ancient technology that the others had figured out how to use, and he wasn't qualified to do surgery, so Dr. Beckett putting him on triage was a good way for him to help. When there weren't any injured coming in, he helped with IV's, cleaning and stitching wounds and making patients comfortable. Everything was going well and they had heard that the Daedalus had finally arrived when things took a sudden down turn. At least as far as Jesse was concerned. Cordelia walked in with a broken arm. She'd kept fighting even with it broken, because, hey, you can't tell your opponent 'I need a time out, you broke my arm'. Consequently, she had a few other injuries as well, nothing too serious and nothing her healing ability wouldn't take care of. But the bigger problem was explaining to Dr. Beckett that he couldn't treat her injuries or even scan her. That hadn't gone over too well, at all.

"Dr. Beckett, you need to understand, Cordelia is not a normal human. She's been enhanced. You're not familiar with her enhancements, in this instance, you're the one not qualified to treat her. Add to that, you know how painful setting a broken bone can be. She has enhanced strength, you're not strong enough to hold her or to set her bone. I need to find Xander, he's the leader of our team and her husband. He can set it, it's not the first time any of us have been injured, after all."

"Very well, I'll concede that, but why can't I scan her? She may have internal injuries."

"You don't currently have clearance to know about her enhancements, Doctor. Your scanner would give you information you're not cleared to know. As her team leader and husband, Xander can give you clearance to scan her, once the bone has been set. I'll go get him now. Just try to make her comfortable until we get back."

Xander and the Pack, along with Dr. Weir, Dr. McKay and Major Sheppard had relocated to Dr. Weir's office after the hologram had vanished. Dr. McKay was loudly demanding information he didn't have the clearance to know about and pissed because he wasn't getting what he wanted. Dr. Weir was diplomatically trying to elicit the same information. Xander wasn't budging, without permission from either Jack, as Head of Homeworld Security or the President himself, neither of them had the clearance to know anything. Until they had that clearance, he wasn't telling them anything. To say they were unhappy, would be putting it mildly. Jesse coming in was almost a relief. Until he told him that Cordelia had been injured.

Xander finally snapped at Dr. McKay. "If you want clearance, call General O'Neill or the President. They're the only ones who can give you clearance. Until then, there's nothing I can tell you. Stop asking. Jesse what's going on with Cordelia?"

"She sustained a broken arm fighting, took the Wraith out of course, but she has a few other injuries, as well. We need you guys to set it and Dr. Beckett needs permission for a scan to check for internal injuries."

"Why can't Beckett set it?" Major Sheppard asked, curious.

"Because the enhancements made changes to the bones. He doesn't know what those changes are. His normal methods could make things worse." Xander answered, before turning to his Pack. "Kyle, Tor, you guys come with me. Rhonda and Faith do a sweep, check for any remaining Wraith, see if Ms. Emmagan will go with you. Her ability to sense the Wraith is impressive and handy. And better than ours, since they need to be within a few hundred yards for us to know they're there. Major, is that alright with you?"

"Yes, in fact I'd have already ordered it myself, if it wasn't for that little surprise of yours."

"Yah, well, like I said, I shouldn't have taunted Murphy. Come on guys, let's see about Cordy." And they followed Jesse to the infirmary.

"My Queen, what rude, uncouth barbarian dared to try to mar your perfection?" Xander asked, when he saw Cordelia. "And I hope he was soundly chastised for his rudeness."

"He was, I cut his head off." Cordelia answered, with a less then her usual brilliant smile, she was obviously in pain. Xander didn't waste any time. Directing Tor and Kyle to hold her down, he grabbed the arm on either side of the break and quickly pulled, the ends slid back together. Cordelia howled for a moment. A sound that sent chills though everyone of the regular humans around them and then sighed as the pain abruptly lessoned.

Xander turned to Dr. Beckett. "Doctor, I will let you do a scan, but only under certain conditions. None of your people have clearance, so none of them can be around when the scan is being done. Just you and me. You do not communicate in any way, shape or form, the information the scan shows you, to anyone without clearance and there will be no records made in regards to any treatments done on any of my team. These terms are not negotiable, Dr. Beckett."

"Very well. Could you carry her over to the scanner? Everyone else, out."

Carson Beckett had been shocked and surprised many times since becoming part of the Stargate Program. What he found on that scan, ranked right up there with the most shocking. Denser bones, larger heart and lungs and the brain! What was going on with the brain? A small structure he'd never seen before, more activity then there should be. Whatever these enhancements were, they'd made major changes to the body. He'd love to know more.

Once the scan was done and Cordelia was returned to a bed, he told Xander he would cast the arm. He got another surprise when Xander negated that. "All she needs is a brace, Doc. We've got enhanced healing too. The break will be fully healed within a couple of days."

How many shocks was Carson going to get in regards to these people?
