AN: I PROMISE I'M GOING TO FINISH THIS. LIKE I WILL. EMPTY WORDS BUT I PROMISE THIS TIME. LOL.
Song is Pualena by Vika :)
School was coming to an end in what felt like a blink of an eye. Brittany was soaking up every moment. Meanwhile, Santana had a bad case of senioritis. All she had looked forward to for the last 4 years was graduation and starting her life. But with Brittany? She was eating up every moment. Senior year had been nothing but a dream up until this point. All of the things she had done with her girlfriend had been everything she had wanted. Brittany was the perfect girlfriend in all aspects. Loving, caring. She was always down for the little adventures Santana wanted to take her on.
It was a gloomy, overcast day at school. Santana was sitting in class, listening to her iPod while looking out the window. In two weeks, she would be leaving and embarking on a new journey. Granted, this new journey included the three people in her life that meant the most to her. But Honoka'a was where memories were made. Where she grew as a person, as a softball player. Where she met Brittany.
Santana looked over towards the stairs that led to the armory. She thought back to the first day of senior year, walking up to Rachel- intrigued by the girl she was in company with. In that moment, she was glad about her outfit choice, knowing that she looked good as fuck.
"Santana?" She was shaken from her thoughts, her name said by Sam. "You okay?"
"Whatsup? Oh yeah, I'm good Sam. Just thinking, that's all."
Sam chuckled a bit. "Stuck in that never ending replay of memories huh? Cause same."
"Fuck yeah. Senior year has been so good to us dude. And to think, it's coming to an end."
The bell rings, and the pair walk out towards the covered bleachers. "You gonna head up to the ensembles classroom already?" Sam asks.
"Soon. I'm just waiting for Britt. I need those extra graduation tickets."
Every year, the graduating class is given two tickets for admission to the ceremony. When the seniors attend song practice, they are given two more tickets for additional admission. The armory wasn't big, and normally the senior class takes up one side of the gym. So the two extra tickets were helpful especially for those who had big families with a lot of siblings. Santana only had her mom coming, but she was going to grab the extra tickets in case her cousins wanted to come. Better to have them in case than not have them at all.
Brittany walked up to Santana, a big smile on her face. "Hey baby."
"Hi." Santana replied, pulling her girlfriend in for a kiss. "You ready to head up hill?"
"Yes I am." They interlocked fingers and walked together.

Song practice went great, and that afternoon was the cap and gown fitting in the auditorium. Brittany was in the make shift fitting room, trying on a few different sizes. She snapped a picture to send to Quinn.
Still wish I could wear green. The text read. She quickly hit send and put her phone down. Brittany had tried on a few different gowns. Some being too short, others the sleeves being a tad bit off to where it made her feel, icky. But the last one, it was perfect. She put on the cap and stared in the mirror for a bit. That was when the realization that hit her. Her time in Honoka'a was coming to a close. When she first moved here last year, Brittany didn't know what to expect. She definitely didn't expect any of this, that's for sure. Never did she imagine, that moving to Hawai'i would land her in the arms of the most perfect girl, with a winning softball season, or just this amount of bliss. It was, extraordinary. Something she wouldn't ever been able to dream of.
Santana was a few stalls down, rehanging the gown she had tried on. She had done the same thing, except sending the picture to her dad.
Since the Mana Road trip, Santana made a promise to call her dad more often. Not only did she deserve it, but so did he. She wasn't the only one that was affected by his deployment and it took a second for her to understand that.
You look good, baby. I'm excited for you! Make sure you take plenty pictures.
Santana smiled, knowing that even though her dad was thousands of miles away, he was still there in her corner- supporting her. Her dad had always been her rock since she was a little girl, and she wouldn't have it any other way. The years of getting accustomed to the way of the Army has been a hell of a ride. And as much as she would like her dad to be home and be able to celebrate her graduation with her, she understood that it was just what he had to do. It was shitty, but it is what it is.
Brittany walked out of the changing room first, hanging the gowns she tried on back on the rack and giving her size to the teachers sitting at the tables with the rosters. There was also another table with a representative from Jostens. They were advertising the different class rings that were available that year, some of which were actually really cute. Brittany took a second to browse before Santana came out of her changing room.
"You thinking about getting one?" Nalani asked, walking up to the table.
"Probably. We'll see how my parents feel. I know I've asked them for a lot of money this year and they're prepping their move back to the mainland."
"Ahh. Makes sense. My turn. I catch you later, Britt." Nalani said as she walked over to the table where her name was called.
Brittany took one last look at the rings before walking outside.
It was a nice day, as was nearly every day. At this point, it didn't even surprise Brittany when she would walk outside and the weather was damn near perfect. It was something she was getting used to.
"You ready, baby?" Santana said as she put her sunglasses on, walking down the stairs of the auditorium. "Hopefully traffic isn't too bad on the way to Kona."
The girls were heading out west side to find some dresses for junior senior prom coming up that weekend. If there was one thing that they had in common, it was being the biggest procrastinators in the world. They had more than enough time the last few weeks to find their dresses but they chose the week before the event to start looking.
"Ready as always love." Brittany said, holding out her hand.

The week went by in a hurry, and before the girls knew it, they were driving down to the Hilton in Snixx. It was a beautiful afternoon, the girls spent it getting ready together in their hotel. They didn't stay at the Hilton, but the hotel that was down the street. It was cheaper, and they weren't allowed to stay the night at there anyway. With what happened after the Spring Formal, they were lucky enough to be invited back to that hotel to have prom again. There were couch cushions in the pool, amongst other things. The flamingo's leg healed, but what dumbass broke its leg in the first place? It was sloppy. The prom committee was amazing, talking the hotel into letting the school celebrate there rather than somewhere else. The Hilton ballroom was beautiful.
Santana pulled up to the lobby, hopping out and running to the other side before Brittany could open her door.
She held out her hand. "My lady, we have arrived."
"So chivalrous." Brittany replied with a smile, gently taking Santana's hand in hers and stepping out of the truck. "Thank you, babe."
"Anytime." Santana said with the biggest smile. "You look good as fuuuuck."
Brittany was in heels, wearing a black dressed that hugged her in all the right spots. Santana on the other hand, sported a nice suit. It wasn't too masculine on her feminine frame which worked so well. She couldn't find a dress that she liked, but in all realities the suit was what she really wanted. Did she purposely do this? Maybe. But either way, she was happy. She was at junior senior prom with the love of her life, looking fly as fuck.
Santana handed the key to the valet person and the girls walked towards the ballroom.
The night was going well. All the softball girls were at the same table as always, laughing and having a good time.
"Okay everyone! It's time to announce the junior senior prom royalty. The votes have been counted. The winner for prom queen, is Rachel Berry!"
The crowd erupted in cheers, a particular table being extra loud. Rachel walked up and the little crown was placed on her head.
"Prom king, is Sam Evans!"
The football boys shook him in excitement as he got up from his seat. He followed suit, a crown being placed on his head. He held out his hand, leading Rachel to the dance floor for the traditional king and queen dance. Sam was a good friend of hers so it wasn't too weird.
The song started playing.
"We'd now like to invite everyone else up to the dance floor to dance." The prom committee person announced.
i lose sight of my world, baby love
no words can hold what's truly on my mind
just feel the beat of my heart and you'll know what i mean
you're my pualena you're so beautiful
God knows i love you, you're all i need
pualena you take my breath away, pualena
"I just sent this song to Quinn." Rachel told Sam, as she had her head on his shoulder. "Every time I hear it, I think of her."
"Well, I guess this is the perfect time for me to ask to step in?"
Rachel's head shot up, to see Quinn in a tan colored dress, with the most beautiful smile on her face. She turned to Brittany and Santana who were a little ways down the dance floor, who was motioning for her to pay attention to her girlfriend.
Sam stepped back, allowing Quinn to take his spot.
you know lately, all i think about is holding you closely
and never leaving your side i'll keep your warm
time passes by and still you're on my mind
i can't imagine living my life without you girl
the special moments you and i can only share will always keep us together and never apart
"I don't know how the fuck you pulled this off babe, but thank you." Rachel said as she took Quinn in her arms.
"Don't worry about that." Quinn told her.
"This isn't a dream right?" Rachel said, holding Quinn's face in her hands. "Like this is foreal. Like you're here."
"I'm here babe." Quinn said smiling. They kissed and the butterflies filled both of their stomachs. "Let's just enjoy this dance."
"I think this surprise may be better than the first time they met." Brittany said as she swayed with Santana, watching her best friend wipe the tears from Rachel's eyes. "Surprise was a success, I'd like to say."
"It definitely was. It's just a shame that Quinn's not going to walk the line at home." Santana said.
"She was not looking forward to that at all. This was more her speed. A small ceremony with her family, and a one way ticket to Hawai'i to 'acclimate'." Brittany replied with quotations. "But I'm not stupid I know exactly what she wanted to do."
Santana chuckled, before placing her head on Brittany. "I love you babe."
"I love you more, San. What's up?" She said while moving to look into Santana's eyes.
"Nothing, I just-" She sighed. "Everything is about to be so damn perfect."
The song ended, and faster music began to pick up.
"Fuck yeah, electric slide?" Santana said as she slipped out of her heels. "Come on babe."
Brittany was hesitant.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know how to dance this babe." Brittany said quietly.
Santana smiled, "I got you."
Brittany took her heels off before following Santana and the rest of the team.
Santana showed her the steps. "And that's it baby. It just repeats. Trust me, it's easy! Kinda repetitive, but so much fun."
The song continued and Brittany got into it. Santana was singing along while dancing and it was the cutest thing.
After a few songs, Brittany went to sit down at the table. Quinn followed suit, taking the chair next to her best friend.
"Thanks for keeping this a secret, B. It was perfect." Quinn looked up onto the dance floor to see Rachel and Santana dancing to the Cupid Shuffle. They were smiling, having a great time.
"Of course Quinn. I'd do anything for you and Rach. How did you parents take it when you said you didn't want to walk? You didn't tell me that part."
"Oh you know, just as we thought they would. They aren't big about that kind of stuff. I pitched them the idea and it was almost as if they couldn't wait to get me out of the house. They're probably changing my room to an office as we speak."
The girls laughed.
"Either way, I'm happy you're here Q. And you'll be here for our graduation? Gonna have to listen to us butcher that Kolohe Kai song. It's gonna be so embarrassing I swear to God."
"I can't imagine a local song like that being sung with just a piano in the background." Quinn laughed. "And I haven't even been listening to that music for that long."
"That's what I'm saying. But it was what the class voted on. So it's what we're stuck with."
As the night ended, the girls said good bye to each other. The four girls got into Snixx and headed down towards their hotel for the night. Rachel led Quinn to her room while Santana and Brittany lingered down by the pool area for a while.
"Tonight was perfect babe. And the pictures of the four of us are gonna be so nice." Brittany said as she led Santana toward the shore line.
"Hell yeah. A perfect prom, with the perfect girlfriend."
Brittany turned towards Santana. The light from the moon and the torches accented her smile in a way that Brittany had never seen before. Santana walked up to her slowly, placing her hands on Brittany's lower back.
"I love you, Brittany."
Brittany smiled before leaning in for a kiss. "I love you more."
Quickly, they made their way up to their room. As Brittany tried to get the key out from her purse, Santana gently pushed her up against the wall to kiss her.
"Baby, we're almost there. Let me get the key." Brittany said as she smiled into another kiss. "Baaaaby."
Santana pulled a key from her pocket and swiped it on the door. "I got it."
The door opened and Brittany laughed as Santana pushed her inside.
