Eshraq- Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. I was worried when you got to the time jump, I'm glad you like it.

It was almost time to go to Gideon's sister's house. It had been interesting at Gideon's to say the least. His brother was an absolute dunderhead. He was already trying to talk Gideon into joining some secret group to fight Voldemort. That made Severus feel uneasy because Gideon wasn't really a fighter, no matter what his goals about being an Auror was.

They were traveling by floo to the Burrow. Apparently, that was the name that the Weasleys gave their home when they moved in. He was wearing some of his nicer robes because he wanted to look nice when he saw the baby again. He was trying to get out of thinking of the baby as his, less likely to make a mistake.

"Ready, Sev?" Gideon asked as they all gathered around the Floo.

"Yes. I just hope she doesn't mind having a stranger there. Must be hard with having a baby."

"You don't know our sister, she's never met a stranger," Fabian said as he smiled at them.

"Go on, dear," Gideon's mother said after Gideon and Fabian had already gone through.

He could hear laughing and playing as he stepped out of the Floo. Something small ran into his leg, almost toppling him over.

"Oi' watch it," a masculine voice said.

A small, redheaded boy of about four looked at him with apologetic eyes. "Sorry," he said before running off after two more children, a smaller redheaded boy, and a brunette girl.

Severus looked at the tall, broad shouldered man in front of him.

"Don't mind the nippers, they've been wild since we got here. She doesn't get any kids her age around our place," the man said, nodding to the girl that was now chasing the older boy.

"It's alright," he said. Looking around the simple kitchen he noticed besides him, the man, and the kids they were alone. "Where's Gideon?"

The man pointed to the open door and Severus walked over to it. Gideon, Fabian, and a young couple were talking in hushed tones. They stopped when they noticed him.

"Sorry about that, that was very rude of us," the man he suspected to be Arthur Weasley said.

"So, you must be Severus Snape, Gideon has told us all about you," the woman, Molly Weasley said.

"Mol," Gideon groaned, earning a laugh from his brother.

"We were just discussing my youngest, they think I'm spoiling him," Molly said.

"She does, I can't wait until his brothers realize that," Fabian said with a laugh.

"He just needs me more, he's so little."

"But he's healthy right?" Severus asked worriedly. If something were wrong with the baby because of something he, did he would never forgive himself.

"Yes, he's perfectly fine. He had a bit of an ear infection a few months ago but he's fine now. He's got us wrapped around his little finger. He's only seven months old but is already showing magical ability. Our older two were well over a year before they showed any."

They all went back into the house and Molly went to get the baby. He held his breath while Molly carried a smiling dark-haired baby. Next to a family of Weasley's the baby's hair stuck out. It had darkened dramatically since he was born. The black-haired baby giggled as he was passed to Fabian.

After about thirty minutes he casually asked Molly if he could hold the baby.

"Of course, he loves everyone. He's such a good baby, the boys adore him," she said, handing him the baby.

Severus looked into the baby's eyes and gasped, he hadn't noticed until now that Matthew had his other father's eyes. How could a baby have the eyes of a cruel and evil man? It didn't change how he felt for the baby, he loved him more than life itself. He may hate the other father more than anything, but it wasn't Matthew's fault. That was why he could never find out who his biological parents were.

By the time they left Severus was much more sure in his decision to leave Matthew with the family. He now felt he could move on with his life, Matthew wasn't sad and missing him. He was happy and having a good life with loving parents and two adoring big brothers. It was time for him to start to get his life back together.

Just in time to heal his friendships, there was an epic breakup in the group. Lily and James broke up and it was getting dirty. Severus didn't know what started it, but Lily was calling James every terrible name she could think of in the Great Hall over breakfast.

"Do you know what happened?" he asked Petunia.

They were safe at their Ravenclaw table while the Gryffindor table looked like it was at war. It looked like the only ones abstaining from the fight were a few first years and Remus Lupin.

"I heard he cheated on her," Rin said.

"James? I don't believe it," Severus said. If Sirius' girlfriend Divina said that Sirius cheated on her, he would believe it. But it wasn't something James would do. That wasn't to say James was a saint, far from it but he was head over heels for Lily.

"I heard it was the other way around," Pandora said, sitting down beside him. He was happy he had repaired his friendship with her.

"Not buying that either, Lily wouldn't cheat," he said.

"Whatever it is, it's got all the Gryffindor's in a bother," Petunia said.

After a few more minutes of all out war between the lions, McGonagall went over with Dumbledore to calm the situation. The Ravenclaws weren't the only ones watching, the Slytherins were watching and laughing and the Hufflepuffs looked worried.

Just when it looked like everything was calming down, James took a swing at Frank Longbottom. That was unexpected he thought the seventh year was close friends with James and his friends.

"What is going on with them?" he asked, just shocked that it was getting so out of control.

Suddenly, Professor McGonagall cast a spell separating the students that were fighting. It was odd to see everyone physically attacking each other, wizards usually stuck to using wands.

"Let's get out of here," Rin said. Severus agreed with him, this wasn't fun to watch, it was like something wild animals would do.

It had been the night before when Lily and James broke up and it was messy, so he heard, but it was nothing like he saw at breakfast. During Defense of the Dark Arts, no Gryffindor's were there. What was going on?

Remus was being kept in a locked room because Gryffindor was insane right now. It had all started last night when Emilie Roth and Olive Deering got into a fight in Gryffindor's common room. He went to break it up because he was a Prefect but then the next thing, he knew he was in between Lily and James, with Lily looking like she wanted to claw his eyes out. Everyone assumed it was Lily and James breaking up, but he didn't even think that much sense came out of them. It was right before bed so they went to sleep, but he could still hear angry muttering from most of his dormmates.

Then this morning in the Great Hall everything came to a head. All the fighting and yelling brought in the professors. It was found that they had ingested a potion that induced high emotions mixed with a truth serum. Dumbledore had locked him in here just in case, even though he told him he hadn't drank the spiked drinks. He could understand their hesitancy to just believe him. Having a werewolf not thinking straight while still in human form, which didn't sound good.

He didn't know who spiked the drinks but knew his friends were probably number one suspects. They didn't know what the potions' purpose was, but it couldn't have been what it did. Hopefully as soon as it gets out of their systems, they'll be able to live down being a laughingstock of the school.

It had been days since the poisoning of the Gryffindor's, no one came forward to say it was them. The aftermath of the rogue truth potion was still being felt. James and Lily did officially break up.

What he found out from James wasn't what was said between him and Lily that caused that much rage. The potion had something in it that heightened emotions, so it was teenagers finding out what their friends really thought of them, a recipe for disaster.

Severus didn't want to get involved with that, especially since Hogsmeade weekend was coming up and he had a date. If felt so weird to say that. It was Petunia and Rin's doing, they were setting him up on a blind date. If he paid more attention to other people, he would know who the boy was, at least that was Petunia said.

"What should I wear?" he asked Gideon.

"Your robes?" Gideon said unhelpfully.

"Don't you have that idiot to be chasing after?"

Gideon had the audacity to look offended. "He's not an idiot. He's really smart, strong, and good. You're just jealous."

Severus laughed. "I'm sorry, I thought you were making a joke."

"I can't wait until you fall in love, then I'm going to make fun of you."

"Get used to the wait, I'm never falling in love."
