"Why didn't you say anything?"

"You needed me to be okay."

"Chloe this is really bad."

"I know."

"Like really bad."

"I get it Beca. You don't have to keep telling me."

"Like Chernobyl."

"Beca!"

"Or the Hindenburg."

"That's enough."

"Oh the humanity."

"Alright." Chloe put her hands on her hips and glared at her girlfriend. "That's enough of the 'dump on Chloe train.' So I brought a few puppies home from the clinic, you're the one that suggested we get a pet so I wouldn't be lonely while you were on tour.

"Yeah, one pet. Not an entire zoo." Their house was a mess, a complete and total mess. Apparently bringing home five non house broken husky puppies spelled disaster. There was fur everywhere, literally everywhere as Beca picked a clump of soggy fuzz out of their sink. Most of their wooden furniture had been mauled by razor sharp puppy teeth. There was puppy kibble scattered across the floor and one of the little devils was in the process of tearing open a pillow.

"Why did you get five puppies?" Beca stared wide eyed at the chaos around her. Their house wasn't as extravagant as some celebrities but there was some pretty expensive stuff that had been destroyed. And she really liked that table.

"Well," Chloe shuffled her feet while not making eye contact. "Someone found this litter on the side of the road and brought them into the clinic. They couldn't find the mother so I kinda…became their mother."

Another puppy came running around a corner, stopped, and sniffed at Beca's foot before yipping for attention. Beca stared down at the little ball of fur and felt her heart melt. The thing was adorable and it had somehow mastered the puppy dog pout at five weeks old.

"That's Daphne." Chloe smiled as Beca picked up the puppy and cuddled it. "The one playing with the pillow is Shaggy." Beca took a closer look and saw that Shaggy's fur was a bit scruffier than the others. "That one over there," Chloe pointed to the one that was eating kibble off the floor. "Is Scooby."

"All right," Beca giggled as Daphne licked her nose. "I get it, you named them after the Scooby gang." She looked around the room, "Where's Velma and Fred?"

"Well, Velma's probably upstairs. She likes to go exploring. And Fred is right here." Chloe stepped aside to reveal an almost all black puppy with a strip of white fur around his neck that looked like an ascot. "He kinda likes to follow me around."

Beca finally managed to look away from the dogs to look Chloe in the eye. Which was a mistake because Chloe was putting on the best pout of her life. Seriously, even the puppies couldn't hold a candle to the redhead.

"Uhhh, fine, we can keep the puppies. But I am not cleaning up after them."

Chloe beamed her patented smile and rushed over to give Beca multiple kisses on the cheek. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Yeah, yeah." Beca sighed. "I'm such a pushover."

"Yes you are. But that's what I love about you."
