On the way back from picking up a to-go order from Statler's, Megan and Mary didn't talk as much as they had earlier. There wasn't much to say at that point, anyway.

Megan put earbuds in, took her phone out, and pulled up her favorite playlist from college. She hadn't listened to it much since her freshman and sophomore years, but the healthy mix of 80s synthpop, Enya, Regina Spektor, Plain White Ts, Black Eyed Peas, and movie soundtracks hit her with a wave of nostalgia. (Though she rarely could finish in one go, it was so long.)

Before she knew it, she and Mary were back at the motel.

Mary went back to her room for the night, taking her food with her, citing her long drive earlier that day and complete acknowledging the irony of the statement.

Megan met up with her friends for their dinner before finishing setting up the movie for the night.
