Here it is folks! The start of the Boreal kingdom arc! I will not deny that this will be a short arc and I wanted to get as much character development and interaction done. It also is a pretty long one which I know will make some of you happy.

Now on to reviews.

Alpha Mallus: That's quite an interesting prediction. Perhaps they will meet once again or maybe not? Who knows?

Nazgul60: That will be explained in this chapter.

Thor x Rose: That's right, she finally met the Prince of Asgard and cut to the chase on his relationship with her grandaughter hahaha. As for the slight age difference I kinda based it off my relaitonship, my fiancee is a few weeks older than me haha.

Century: Thus you wait no longer my friend. At last Ylva Olafsdottir returns!

Maltazar: Definitly; A giant weasling his way into the god pantehon and cause trouble? That's a super sus guy.

Optimus Prime: A whole list of them hahha.

ArguableReader: What can I say? I do like older women in relationship ;) Yeah Issei's harem is a very stupid idea but it's his goal and nobody is going to stop him. Yeah I know all about that backstoryt regarding Issei and his parents, its kinda heart warming. Kinda...

Velox: Fatal flaw? What you think his hate for Church wasn't a flaw? That was a flaw he had to overcome and he still hasn't gotten strong enough to use Mjolnir, I'd say THAT is his fatal flaw; strength to use the hammer. Plus he will have more coming his way that he must overcome to be better.

Despite the order to stand down and the God of Thunder and Elf princess greeting each other the tension still filled the air, specifically at the Christian Faction. These Elves clearly did not like having them in their kingdom. A fact Rias would have to prove wrong.

"I see your friends have come with you. Hello Vandill and you too Azrael." Ylva's violet eyes moved to settle on Rias and her smile grew slightly, "And you must be Millicas Gremory's aunt, Rias Gremory. My sister is eager to see him again."

The redhead smiled at the Elf's words, so this was the older sister of Eivor: the young Elf princess who, along with Millicas, was rescued by Thor when the two children were kidnapped by Giants. She stepped forward, eyes never wavering from the woman.

"From one princess to another, I greet you."

The green-haired beauty nodded, "As much I'd like to greet the rest of you we must return to the kingdom immediately. There I will explain everything." With a hand sign, the Elves lowered their weapons and began trekking through the forest silently like predators hunting as Ylva led the way. Whatever Ylva called them for the answer would be in the kingdom.

"So….how have you been?" Asked Thor to keep them from walking in silence.

"I could be better. We have an issue that I need your help with." She answered, her stern expression becoming a deep frown before shifting into one of interest, "And what about you? I hear through the World Tree news that you defeated a Fallen Angel leader and the White Dragon Emperor. That's very impressive and a definite rise in your popularity among the Supernatural World and especially the Nine Realms."

"And just recently he escaped Muspelheim with me."

Ylva glanced at Akeno, "Really? And I thought Muspelheim was sealed off by the Allfather."

"We all did. Unfortunately, a Jotun found a way to send us there. Anyway, Sigrun called you the Guardians of Boreal."

"Because we are, we live and protect this forest from danger. Long ago, after the Elven Civil War, many Elves migrated to Midgard, some living by the sea, others, within forests all around the world. From there that is where the sea, and wood elves, which are what I and my kin are, come from. While most stayed in Northern and Central Europe, some moved to North America, Canada, and Russia to live in other parts of the Boreal forest because it is the largest forest in the northern world. From that many Elven Kingdoms and cities sprang up. All are hidden from humans with many more hidden from the Supernatural World. The Scandinavian Kingdom, my father's Kingdom, is hidden to all save for Asgard and Alfheim."

"And now my friends."

"Which you all must swear to tell no one. Not even your families." Ylva commanded, her eyes sweeping over Thor and his friends, "If you do, the consequences will be grave."

"We will take that warning to heart," Sigrun said before others could argue.

"Good. My people wish to remain hidden. At least that is my father's command."

"Speaking of your father, my lady." Thingon said, "King Olaf will not be happy."

"And we shall deal with that when the time comes, Thingon."

They went on going further and further into the forest, the sounds of nature going louder, once Issei thought he saw a doe, a female deer, and its baby walking in the opposite direction of them. Xenovia was entranced by the beauty of the woods, her eyes taking in everything.

"I didn't take you for a forest person Xenovia," Kiba said.

The former human smiled, "When I was very young Mother Giselda would take me and the other kids to the forest near the church. We would play hide and seek, climb trees, and sometimes plant seeds to grow new life after a storm detested it. This place reminds me of my childhood. I had forgotten what it was like after becoming an Exorcist…"

"Cherish those memories and they will never fade away." The blonde Knight encouraged.

Xenovia smiled, stopped, and bowed, "Yuuto Kiba, and you as well, Asia Argento. I never was able to properly apologize for my behavior in our first meeting. Actually, I wish to apologize to everyone for my behavior."

"There is nothing to apologize for." Said Asia, "Once you held Devils in resentment but now with our people working together. We can become friends."

In an instant Xenovia was hugging the two blondes, trying her best to hold back tears. Yes, she would be their friend, she would be everyone's friend and strengthen that bond.

Irina was giddy with joy, Xenovia truly had come a long way when she first worked with her, he had gone from a warrior with no sympathy to a gentler soul looking for friends. Perhaps Thor's goal for peace will work after all. Beside her, she heard Vandill chuckle, the seven-foot-tall Jotun had such an imposing figure but a soul as gentle as an Angel. Twice he rescued people he didn't know in the battle against Kokabiel and paid the price by becoming a Devil but in doing so gave him a second chance to live, perhaps God's miracle worked not just for Christians but Pagans as well.

"It is good to see new friendships form." Vandill.

"Yes." Said Irina, "I think peace will be achieved.

"Look!" Cried Rossweisse.

Stepping through two massive trees, they halted and found themselves staring at a large clearing where a great wall stood.

"Welcome!" Said Ylva, "To the Scandinavian Kingdom."

They passed through the gate and all were in awe at the sight of the kingdom. Like Asgard, it looked more like a modern city than an old kingdom with houses and stores dotted around the city and a large mall in the distance. Rossweisse gasped and pointed to the sky, nearby was a Monorail track leading to a station Ylva led them toward while Elves of different ages stared at the God of Thunder and his friends, some giving nasty glares at the Devil's it was obvious they did not like having them in their city.

"Issei." Rias called the Pawn while ignoring the glares, "We are guests in a foreign kingdom whose ruler may not wish us here so we must all be on our best behavior. Please keep lewd thoughts under control."

"O-of course, president! I'll do my best!"

Koneko rolled her eyes, doing his best was not good enough. If he stares at any breasts or says something perverted they would be in hot water.

They went into the monorail and each took a seat, some Elves bowing to Ylva before distancing themselves while others hoped off to wait for the next tram. They would rather be late to any appointments they have than be in the same room as a Devil or an Angel. The vehicle left the station and Thor couldn't help looking out the window and taking in the view, all around the city trees covered it, some being hollowed out to house buildings or let the monorail pass through, in the distance he spotted a large mall and further back an even larger arena that looked to be used for sports or entertainment.

"This city looks heavily fortified," Sigrun commented pointing to two walls built within the city, the third one surrounded a large magnificent castle built within and around many trees leading to branches poking out of the building on all sides with treetops in place of towers allowing leaves to rain around the home Ylva most likely lived in.

"My father always says protection is just as important as hiding," Ylva said, the hint of a sigh caught in there. She ordered Thingon to tell the driver to take them straight to the castle after the next two stops.

"They sure don't like us," Asia said, quivering in fear at the glare from a rather large Elf at the far end of the cab.

Forty minutes later

The tram reached the palace where a row of guards and nobles stood at attention. It seems word spread of their arrival meaning more glares would be sent the Devil's way. Ylva said Thor and Rias must step out first with her and when done the greeting was a mixed reaction, some greeted the Elven princess, others in awe to see the God of Thunder in their presence, and of course the glares and hateful stares at Rias.

"Lady Ylva!"

"Welcome back, warrior princess!"

"Why is the God of Thunder and those bats here!?"

"They are our guests!" Ylva announced, "As such you will hold your tongues of insults and show them respect!"

"We obey!" The guards shouted, to the common folk Ylva was Olaf's heir, to the army…she was their leader, their warrior princess.

"Good." Said Ylva calmly and led the way into the palace, before turning left down a corridor. Whatever questions were about to be asked were cut off by Thingon leading them. They passed many windows and balconies, some made out of tree branches, that gave incredible views around the city and beyond toward the forest while others onto courtyards where nobles spoke and guards patrolled.

Truly this is one of the most incredible places to enjoy views. Andreas mused, remembering his time spent at the top of Olympus with Rota.

"Thingon," Sigrun called to the Elf captain of the guard, "What did your troops mean by calling Ylva a warrior princess?"

"That is a question you should ask her yourself."

Through a corridor, up three flights of stairs, six more corridors, Thingon led them towards a pair of wooden double doors with ornate carvings and runes on the door. When they opened it led into a massive throne room with many trees dotted around the room with large branches growing through and out of the building, some even made into balconies. At the end of the room stood ten guards wearing armor similar to Ylva's around four thrones; two were vacant with the other two occupied. On the left throne was a young girl wearing an elegant white dress with short light green hair tied in a bun and brown eyes

"Lord Odinson!" She leaped from the chair and rushed towards the God of Thunder, "It's so good to-"

"Eivor!" A strong voice shouted, giving a halt to the young Elf, "That is not how we greet the God of Thunder."

On the taller throne to the left sat a tall bulky man with neatly kept blonde hair and beard and sharp brown eyes. Unlike Odin who wore robes, the Elven king wore a brown suit and a crown on his head. On a baldric, he wore a sheath and scabbard covered in vines with an emerald stone on the knife hilt and an amethyst gem on the sword. This no doubt was Ylva and Eivor's father, and king of the Boreal kingdom…Olaf.

Unnoticed by the king his daughter sighed before straightening up and bowing to Thor, "Lord Odinson, I greet you."

Thor smiled and bowed in return, "I greet you Lady Olafsdottir and you as well, King Olaf."

The edge of the king's lips curved upward slightly, "Lord Freyr told me nothing of you and your friends arriving. Have you come to feast with us? Or tour the city or perhaps see my daughters once more?" Olaf's gaze moved beyond Thor to see the companions behind him, two Valkyries, a Dwarf, a Jotun, two Einherjar, and… his smile dropped when his gaze fell upon the Gremory Peerage and Angels, "I have heard from the Alfheim news of what has transpired and I truly applaud that Asgard would stoop to allying with Pigeons, crows, and bats."

"P-Pigeons!?" Gasped Irina.

"Crows?" Growled Azrael.

"Bats?" Hissed Rias.

Thor frowned, he did not like hearing the king insult his friends like this.

"I hate Christians. All of them, especially bats, and Ylva knows that yet she goes behind my back and invites them? Why?"

"To stop the threat that you blindly do not believe!" From a side door came Ylva, her armor now replaced by a pale blue gown that showed off her womanly curves that Issei was struggling not to stare at.

Olaf groaned, "Daughter…we have been other this before... there is no such thing as The Horde! It's a hoax!"

"It is not a hoax!" Ylva shot back, "The Horde IS real and they will attack! Sudden bursts of magic deep within the forest? Patrols investigating go missing? Trolls wandering the outskirts of the kingdom? This is the work of The Horde, father! They will attack and we need help!"

"So you called Asgard and their Bible friends to help in this assumed danger?"

"Pardon me." Said Rossweisse cutting off Ylva before she could retort, "But what exactly is The Horde?"

"A discussion I do not wish to hear." The Elven King growled, "Nor do I wish to have you in my kingdom anymore-"

"We aren't leaving." Thor interrupted, "Not until we get an explanation."

"Then ask. Go and listen to my daughter's delusions." Olaf said before striding out onto a balcony.

Ylva sighed, "You'll have to forgive my father. He is a kind and noble man but his hatred for the Biblical Faction, specifically Devils, has always run deep which has unfortunately spread to the common people hence the glares you've been receiving since arriving."

"Why does he hate us?" Asia asked.

The sisters exchanged looks before Eivor spoke, "Father says Angels use humans to brainwash Pagans into following a God who never existed, for Fallen Angels they lure humans to their service with seduction and kill others for fun, and Devils…." Eivor shifted uncomfortably, "He calls them slave owners for kidnapping human and supernatural beings to use them as slaves. That…and our mother was killed by a Devil six years ago."

So that explains why the Elven king disliked Devils, though Rias, Olaf wasn't wrong, many Devils both the old and new generation enslave people without giving them choices. Her family, on the other hand, gave people a choice. Unfortunately for herself, she had no choice with Vandill, Issei, and Kiba due to the three men dying when making them Devils. That did not, however, mean she would treat her servants as slaves, they were her servants yes, but she saw them as family for the Gremory clan always treats their servants like family. She would have to show Oalf not all Devils are bad but that was easier said than done.

"I hope Millicas is well." Eivor said to the Devil heiress.

"The last time I saw him he was. My brother says he talks about you a lot and hopes to see you attend the Youth Devil Gathering in August."

Eivor smiled sadly, "I would like to see him if my father would allow it."

"What exactly is this Horde mentioned so much?" Xenovia asked.

A shadow fell upon Ylva's face, "They are a coalition of European monsters intending to destroy the Elven kingdoms all across the world, starting with ours first. As you heard in my argument with my father about scouts going missing and monsters seen wandering the boundaries of our land I took it upon himself to follow a group to the Horde, there are thousands of them; from every corner in Europe. I was lucky they did not spot me or our destruction would have come sooner. Despite my father not believing they exist I have chosen to double the city's defense and scouting parties for any sign of their approch. I do not doubt any of you in your skills but another army would be beneficial to help when The Horde attacks. Help may only come when the great ash horn in the highest tower is blown but only the king or queen may give that command and my father, unfortunately, will not do so due to his belief in our kingdom being able to withstand any attack."

A silence filled the room, the only sounds being the cracking of armor, shifting of feet on floor, and the wind rustling branches. Now it made sense; Olaf did not believe Ylva's claim about an army of monsters attacking them and was too proud to call for help, hence leading to Ylva calling help from behind his back, which deepened the strain between father and daughter. When Oalf returned his face was a mix of annoyance, disgust, and, behind all of it, exhaustion.

"You truly believe this Horde is coming, Ylva?" The king asked.

"It is father. You can disbelieve me all you like but they will come."

"Father, please, listen to Ylva. Eivor begged, her eyes filled with sorrow, "She is the heir to the kingdom and you must listen to her wisdom."

Olaf looked at his eldest daughter, she had broken the rule to not bring Christians into their land to protect it from a threat that did not exist. Then his gaze shifted to Thor and his friends, he detested the God of Thunder's choice to be friends with Bible scum but he was the Norse Faction's greatest champion and turning away would make him a poor host especially since his own daughters attended the festival in Asgard and Thor went through great perils to save Eivor.

"Three days…" He said at last with a heavy sigh and slumped shoulders, "You may stay for three days as my guest Thor Odinson…but tomorrow night I want these doves, crows, and bats out of my city and never come back."

Thor bowed, "We gracefully accept your terms, king Oalf."

"Ylva, you may give them a tour around the city while your rooms are prepared. Now leave me to my thoughts."

Ylva wasted no time in getting Thor and his friends out of the throne room. When the doors close the Elven princesses sighed, "At least you are allowed to stay."

"Until tomorrow." Vandill sighed, "I have never been to an Elven city before and was hoping to have more time to explore it."

"That will happen when Eivor becomes queen." Everyone looked at her in surprise, "What? Did you really think I wish to be queen? Eivor is the better ruler, not I. I'm just a warrior who commands the army."

"Does your father know?" Irina asked, her feelings hurt at being called a dove by the king.

"Of course not. Even if he did he would insist I be queen due to being the firstborn. He is stubborn with traditions. But enough of my drama…I never was properly introduced to the rest of you."

So introductions were made at last by the rest of Rias and Thor's team, each giving a brief history about themselves and what they liked.

"Uhm W-well I'm Issei Hyoudou," The Pawns said when it was his turn, "And…and…I am the President's Pawn. The Red Dragon Emperor and…"

"Yes?"

"I like video games!" He blurted out, Rias had given him strict orders to be on his best behavior and he would do his best not to fail her in that task which meant he had to keep his lewd thoughts to himself and try not to stare at any breasts, which was proving harder than anticipated. He had seen so many bountiful Elven breasts today and the best pairs were the princesses. Eivor was one size bigger than Xenovia and Ylva was two sizes smaller than Rossweisse. Oh how he wished to be smothered by those!

"Really?" Ylva said, the ghost of a grin spreading across her face, "I like video games too. Have you ever played Baldur's Gate?"

Soon the Pawn and Elf princess found themselves talking about video games, a topic Issei himself was surprised to find himself having with a girl.

"Sounds to me you have a fellow gamer, Koneko." Rias said pleasantly, she herself was not a video game person but Koneko and Gasper were die hard games. It wouldn't surprise her if her Pawn, Bishop, and Rook jumped into one of those online role play games with the Elf princess.

Elsewhere within the group Sigrun was in deep talk with Bikou, the Einherjar, and Angels.

"This Horde sounds similar to Olympus. Monsters from Greece led by the Khaos Brigade attacked."

Andreas shifted, that particular battle was an event he did not want to remember. Especially since the memory of watching Rota die always haunted his nightmares but Sigrun was right, monsters attacking Olympus, undead monsters attacking Kuoh Academy, now monsters attacking an Elf kingdom. His mind began forming a theory that he spoke aloud, "Could this have anything to do with the Lich Queen?"

The Monkey King raised a brow, "That hot witch? That Elf princess didn't say the monsters were undead. So it can't be her but why would a group of monsters attack the Elves? What is their purpose?"

"It may be as Sigrun says; the Khaos Brigade working behind the scenes to stir up trouble in the Norse world." Henrietta said, "Nevertheless, we will ensure they fail in their plot."

"So, why do they call you the Warrior Princess?" Kiba asked Ylva, a strong desire to test his skills against her swirling in his mind.

"Because of my skills in combat. Since I was little I've felt the desire to protect not just my people but all who I come in contact with. So I took combat lessons and learned how to lead the army. From that the army looks to me for leadership in troubled times."

"Do they believe you?"

"About The Horde? They are divided but once they see the threat they will believe me and be ready to fight."

Hours passed during which Ylva led her guests around the city showing them what she could before night and by that time everyone was exhausted but in high spirits. The stores they explored were fun and the food they ate was delicious. Asia felt bad that Ylva paid for everything they wanted but the princess insisted saying it was her duty as the host to pay for guests. That and the fact that every Elf in the kingdom would always give her a discount on everything she bought, even if it was for a Devil or Angel.

"Usually we would have a feast in your honor for visiting us and saving Eivor but…well I'm sure you know why."

"Your father's hatred toward the Biblical Faction is going to be a problem for my mission of peace." Said Thor, a twinge of annoyance slipping between his lips.

Havarti suddenly yawed, "I am sorry, but I am very sleepy. I think it is time for bed."

"That won't be a problem. I shall call a servant to take you to your quarters."

"I'll go with you." Said Akeno, getting a surprised look from her King and Pawn.

"B-but Akeno-san! What about my dragon energy? Doesn't it need to be drained?"

Akeno laughed, "Of course I'll still drain your energy, it just won't be as exciting as it once was."

Rias' eyes flickered between her Queen and Havarti, was Akeno forming feelings for Havarti!? The idea of the two being together sounded so adorable and it would mean one less person to compete against to be with Issei. She understood Asia had feelings but she made it clear Issei was her's and she would ensure he would be.

The Dwarf and hybrid said goodnight to the others and were escorted to a very luxurious bedroom, were they could see the stars from the window and balcony. Part of a tree was seen in one of the corners leading to the equally large and luxurious bathroom. The Elves were impressive craftsmen but nothing could match Dwarf architecture.

"Very spacious." Commented Akeno while examining the dresser.

"Indeed." Havarti said before entering the bathroom, his toothbrush in hand via a summoning circle. The young Dwarf had been to many places from his birthplace Norway, to Japan, to Asgard, to Muspelheim, and now the Boreal kingdom.

"I feel sorry for the king." Said Akeno, "So many of us lose the ones we love. He lost his wife to a Devil and I lost my mother to my father's enemies."

"Hopefully Rias will change that." Said Havarti after finishing, "Maybe tomorrow we-" Havarti paused in the doorway, Akeno was sprawled across the bed in a very sexy way wearing just her school uniform shirt and orange thong. He couldn't stop his eyes from roaming all over her body, he had never seen her wear so little clothing before and it was quite a sight to enjoy.

"Ara. Ara. Are you gonna join me?" Cooed the black haired beauty as she beckoned him towards her.

Wow…she really was sexy. He wanted to do so many things for her…but would she allow him? They weren't a couple and he certainly wouldn't do anything unless permitted. Swiftly he approached the bed tossing his shirt off in the process to show the few muscles he had from exercising, the action getting a giggle from Akeno.

"Akeno." The Dwarf said, sliding into bed letting the Fallen Angel wrap her arms around him, "Why are you doing this?"

"Because," Akeno cupped his face and pressed her forehead against his, a gentle smile was on her beautiful face, "I know you have feelings for me, Havi-kun."

"...when?"

"After the Peace Summit. You held my hand a lot and even protected me at the food fight in Valhalla. I thought you just cared about me but you like me. No, not like, love. When I lost my mother I hated all men, I wasn't even close to Kiba and Issei… his perverted nature is just fun to tease. Then I met you and you opened my eyes that not all men can be hated. You truly love me despite my mixed heritage and I'm grateful for that."

"Of course I do." The Dwarf said, snuggling into the crook of her neck, "You're an amazing woman who's so smart, kind, and so beautiful to look at. I hope my feelings won't be a problem."

Akeno giggled, "Not a problem at all."

"They…you wouldn't mind going on a date when we return to Kuoh?"

Akeno's mischief demeanor faded to surprise then joy, once she hated men seeing them only as toys to tease but when Havarti came into her life the Dwarf showed that good men still lived in the world. How could she reject the affections of the first man to show her compassion? Running a hand through his hair she leaned forward and softly kissed his forehead.

"I would love too, Havi-kun."

Meanwhile

Ylva led the others back to the castle battlements were they were able to look at the stars. Out here away from city lights they could see every star in the sky, each one twinkling like a gem dug up from the earth. Andreas pointed out were each constellation was tonight and which ones were visible, a knowledge Sigrun found fun to listen to. At one point a shooting star was seen streaking across the sky with those who saw it making a wish.

I wish…to have a wonderful birthday this time! Rossweisse thought, glancing at Thor whose head was turned upwards, if you saw it what would you have wished for? Peace? A good fight? Make our relationship move beyond just being friends?

"I just realized. Are we sharing rooms?" Irina asked, the thought coming out after noticing Akeno not returning when Havarti went to bed.

"If you wish to sleep alone or together is not an issue." Ylva said.

Sleep together!? Oh man, I can sleep with Asia and the president! Maybe even Xenovia and Irina!

The Pawns' excitement to have more women in bed was dashed when most chose to sleep separately. Kiba opted to share a room with Vandill, Andreas, Azreal, and Gasper. Henrietta doing likewise with the Angels, and Valkyries.

"Guess that leaves you and me Bikou." Thor shrugged, not bothered sharing one with the Monkey King.

They said goodnight and went to the rooms they were given, as soon as Issei's door was closed he whirled around but was disappointed to see neither Asia or the president undressing. Guess they didn't wanna sleep yet the reason became clear when they drifted to the balcony to continue star gazing. Issei wasn't big on star gazing but even he couldn't deny that tonight was fun, especially that topic with Ylva about video games. Her knowledge on video games was greater than his but he did not allow jealousy to cloud his judgment of her, gamer girls were very hot. Issei joined his master and Asia on the balcony just in time to see another shooting star streak across the sky.

"What did you wish for Issei?" Asia asked.

"I'm pretty sure we know what my adorable Issei wished for." Rias said, a sultry expression forming on her face.

A large perverted grin spread across Issei's face, "I want to have an Elf in my harem!" His exclamation caused Rias' seduction to scowl in annoyance, "I want to have a hot sexy Elf princess bury my face into their huge boobs! Ylva and Eivor have a great pair I'd love touch and-"

"What about MY sister!?"

Issei froze at the harsh voice, spinning; he saw Ylva standing in the doorway, her face warped in anger at hearing Issei's words. Before Issei or Rias could say anything, Ylva rushed the Pawn and came face to face with him, her violet orbs burning with anger. Rias froze while Asia gasped in horror.

"I was coming to check if you need anything. Instead I hear you talking about harems and doing lewd desires to me, my people, and my sister! My father hates the Biblical Faction and I hate something too. People like you, Issei Hyoudou, I hate perverts who want harems AND making my little sister be part of it. I shouldn't be surprised the only things you love are games and girls. I'm going to make myself clear; you can have lewd thoughts about Rias and Asia but if you keep giving that perverted look to my, my sister, or the other women of the kingdom or even announce your desire for harems then you will lose your Sacred Gear. Do I make myself clear?"

Issei blinked, how would she remove his Sacred Gear? It was tied to his soul. Suddenly he felt something point between his legs, a bead of sweat trickled down his face. Slowly he looked down and found a very nasty dagger aimed at his manhood. That's what she meant by Sacred Gear…

"Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?" She repeated, each word spoken with the command of a general to a soldier.

"Y-y-y-yeah! Crystal!" Iasei squeaked, he didn't want to stay a virgin forever.

"You're his master right?" Ylva demanded to Rias, "Keep this pervert on a tighter leash"

"I ordered him to be on his best behavior." Rias replied coolly, "We didn't know you hated perverts but now that I do, I will be sure to punish my Pawn for his actions."

Ylva glared between Rias and Issei before withdrawing the dagger and hiding it within her nightgown. "I expect him to be otherwise I will punish him myself." She warned before leaving with one final glare to Issei.

The next day

Day two had come and breakfast was served to Thor and his friends in a dining hall where Rias, Asia, and Issei recounted the event from last night. Bikou howled with laughter at the threat Ylva gave to Issei which the Pawn did not enjoy. While Ylva did not need to threaten Issei her hate for pervants and harems was understanding which Irina wholeheartedly agreed with. The revelation of Ylva hating perverts wasn't the only hot topic around the table; Akeno and Havarti announced they would be going on a date when returning to Kuoh. The news was met with excitement from the girls and a hard slap on the back from Vandill to the Dwarf for, as he said, winning the heart of a beauty.

"Ara. Ara. We are quite popular aren't we?" Akeno said, her trademark smile visible.

"So, what's the plan for today?" Azrael asked.

"We should look into this Horde threat." Rossweisse said, the cheery mood faded at the Valkyrie's suggestion, "King Oalf wants Ms Gremory and Micheal's Angels out of here tonight. The sooner we find proof of this threat the sooner we may have to erect a proper defense against whatever attack they send at us."

"I agree." Thor said after shoveling the last of his breakfast into his mouth, "Rose, Sigrun, Bikou, Vandill, and I will look into this. The rest of you…do something to pass the time."

"Like convincing King Oalf not all Devils are bad." Rias said, rising to her feet.

"Are you sure you can do so?" Henreitta asked, "Perhaps Vandill and Azrael should be there too? They did help Thor in rescuing Eivor."

"Perhaps but I feel like Eivor has done that already and Vandill is the greatest hunter of us all. His skills helped save Eivor; they can be used to find the location of The Horde."

"Then I will go as well. Sigrun has the best political skill from Thor's team but I know a little bit too."

"What about the rest of us?" Kiba asked.

"As Thor said, I'm sure you all can find something to entertain yourselfs. Perhaps you, Kiba, would like to spar with Xenovia and Irina to test your skills?" The Angel duo exchanged looks with the Knight, excitement twinkled in Xenovia's eyes. Last time they fought together his skills had improved. How much stronger has he become now? "As for you, Issei, you're coming with me to apologize for last night's remarks.

With that Rias made her way to the throne room with Azrael, Issei, and Henreitta, by the time they arrived they could hear shouting up ahead.

"I want them out of my city, NOW!"

"I will not do so! You said they would leave tonight!"

"I've changed my mind! The fact that the Red Dragon Emperor is a pervert lusting after my daughters infuriates me to the point that I'll-"

"You'll what!? Banish them from the kingdom or maybe execute them like the last Devil who entered our kingdom!? If you do either of those things it will invoke the wrath of not just Asgard but the Underworld too! One Devil killed mother and you hate their whole society for it! Your hatred has spread among the masses and they too hate Devils! I spoke with Sirzechs Lucifer and his wife at the festival! They are trying to change how Devils are looked upon! They made peace with Heaven and the Fallen Angels or have you forgotten about that!?"

"I certainly have not! Their feud with the light and dark angels is not our concern! And how can you be sure Lucifer is even trying!?"

"HIS SON WAS KIDNAPPED ALONG WITH EVIOR!" Ylva's shout roared through the hall, "HIS SON AND MY SISTER WERE KIDNAPPED MY GIANTS! AND THEY-"

"WE'RE RESCUED BY THOR, A JOTUN, AND THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S SON! EVIOR HAS TOLD THAT STORY A MILLION TIMES!"

"AND YET YOU STILL DON'T TRUST THE BIBLICAL FACTION! EVEN THOUGHT A FALLEN ANGEL CHOSE TO HELP RESCUE EIVOR!"

As soon as Rias pushed open the door she saw the king strolling towards a window, Ylva standing before the throne. The relationship between father and daughter seemed worse than thought.

Olaf sighed, "...I admit the actions of…"

"Azrael."

"Azael….are noble but one good deed by a crow cannot undo the countless murders other Fallen Angels have committed."

"Which have been taken care of by Asgard." Henrietta said, announcing their unexpected arrival,

I hope you take Ylva's words to heart and keep your perverted desires under better control."

"Azazel and Odin made a pact saying Asgard will deal with rogue Fallen Angels if Grigori helps rebuild the kingdom's economy which both sides have done superbly at. Asgard bore witness to the Peace Summit of the Biblical Faciton, I was there to hear Azazel say he wanted peace."

"As we're we." Rias added, "Not one of us wishes to see war happen. We all want to live in peace and live our lives the way we want and I assure you, your majesty, I would never try to kidnap anyone to make my slave. I certainly do not treat my servants as slaves either. They are precious to me. They are my family. I see them as my siblings and my children, to take care of. If they get hurt it's my responsibility to ensure they are cared for. As a king myself, it is my responsibility to see my servants are protected and given a happy life to live. I realize your in pain over the loss of your wife, your majesty, but-"

"I don't want to hear anymore." Olaf cut in, "Leave me. All of you…"

"Fine!" Snapped Ylva, her anger still simmering, "But they still stay until nightfall."

"Ylva-"

"They are MY guests! I am the heir to the throne! If I'm going to be queen then I will make my own commands! If you oppose them then I will gladly settle the arguments in a duel!"

A million expressions flashed on Oalf's face; anger, shock, remorse, then sad acceptance, all directed toward his daughter. With a wave of his hand he dismissed them.

"Before we do, I believe my Pawn has something to say?" Rias said, gesturing for her Pawn to step forward.

A cold anger flashed onto Oalf's face, "You…HOW DARE YOU SAY SUCH LEWD THINGS ABOUT MY DAUGHTERS! I SHOULD KILL YOU!" That… was not a wise thing to say. Before he could take a step forward he felt the edge of a blade against his throat, which belonged to Ylva's glaive, "Ylva…you-"

"Hold your tongue, Olaf." Ylva hissed, "They are our guests. Under MY protection. You WILL listen to them!"

Issei was shaking, he understood a father's wrath was something not to face head on but with Ylva holding the Elf king back he could speak. Swallowing the lump in his throat he took two more steps forward and bowed deeply in the traditional Japanese way of forgiveness, "Uhm…King Olaf…Ylva-san….I am truly sorry for saying those things about you and your sister. I promise I will be better."

"As long as you keep your work, I forgive you." Ylva said before staring at her father who only nodded, withdrawing her glaive she left with the others.

"I guess we arrived too late to convince him." Azrael said after the doors closed, the last he saw of Olaf was plopping into his throne, face buried in his hands, "That was quite a fight you had."

"Convincing my father is not easy. He's a stubborn and proud man but I hope my words were able to get through that thick skull of his."

"I don't think so. Even if Issei apologized for what said last night, your father's hatred for Devils just got worse." Henreitta said with a shake of her head, "I just hope this is a lesson for you, young man. You can love girls, breasts, and pursue a harem but keep those thoughts locked away unless you are completely alone with the ones you love."

Issei's shoulders slumped, he would not deny his love for boobs and would always shout it out to the world. Yeah he's beat up by Koneko or the Kendo club but being threatened to have a most precious item on him was definitely a line drawer. Ms. Berg was right he had to keep his perverted ideas under better control.

Elsewhere in the kingdom

"I truly feel sorry for the Red Dragon Emperor. To be trapped in the body of a boy that perverted…"

"Issei isn't that bad."

"He's the worst…"

While wandering the Boreal kingdom, Rias' Bishop's and Rook unexpectedly stumbled upon the younger Elf princess exiting a shop wearing casual clothes. It was quite a surprise to see a royal princess wear such casual clothing. Rias herself was royalty too, just not to the extent of Eivor. Soon the three girls and cross-dressing boy went tramping around the city eventually stopping at a cafe for lunch were Eivor learned much about the four Devils. Eventually the subject led to Issei hence the disagreement occuring.

"I wholeheartedly agree with you, Koneko. How can people like him exist in this world? The last time I ran into a pervert in a human city he tried to force me into his harem….only to have his head removed by Ylva." Aisa flinched, "Yes, my sister is very protective of me. She always has been but eventually it will come to an end."

"Why is that?" Gasper asked, making a mental note to make Ylva angry.

Eivor sighed, "I'm sure she's already told you she doesn't want to be Queen?Your faces say she did. Well what she really wants to do is leave the kingdom to see the rest of the world. And also…" She laughed a little, "To become a top gamer."

"And you are ok with that?" The blonde nun asked.

"She is heir to the throne but it is her choice to make. I won't force her to stay and I must look after myself and the kingdom when the time comes for me to be Queen." Then she leaned forward to whisper so only the Devils could hear, "Unfortunately, our father nor the kingdom know about this. When they do she knows it will be met with heavy criticism. Nevertheless, Ylva still intends to do this."

"Her dream to travel the world is similar to Havi-kun's. He wants to travel the world to see the other Factions."

"Is that so? That is similar to her goal but she doesn't want to travel the world to see the other human cities and beat gamers. But getting back to Mr. Hyoudou, I truly hope he can become better after my sister's threat."

"B-but Issei isn't that bad!" Asia protested again, "I mean yes he is a pervert but…but he's also very kind and brave. He was my first friend and went through the effort to save me and Rias during her wedding…"

"He's still a pervert. He didn't have to state the president's virginity was his when crashing the wedding…"

Eivor choked on her drink, he did what!? Why would you do that during a wedding!? Why!? Just why!? "What…happened…"

Later in shopping district

"H-he actually said that when crashing the wedding!? Ohahahahahha!" Andreas roared with laughter, many Elves looking at him for the sudden outburst. The Greek Einherjar chose to tag along with Akeno and Havarti asking for any topic to share which Akeno complied with by sharing the Issei crashing Rias' wedding to another noble Devil and how he won her freedom, "Wow…I gotta say Issei is quite the funny guy I swear."

"He is indeed. The fact that he sacrificed his arm to gain power to defeat the youngest son of the Phenex clan was a brave deed." Havarti agreed, already hearing about this event by Akeno, "I hope that whatever training he's put through will not be easy. He's the Red Dragon Emperor, destined to fight Vali Lucifer, which he unfortunately was not doing well against from what I heard before Thor interrupted the battle."

"I'm sure Sigrun was training him to the best of her ability in swordsmanship. Ascalon is a deadly weapon to use against dragons and dragon type Sacred Gears so she, along with Kiba, must teach him how to properly use it."

"Not just swordsmanship but magic and physical strength. Certainly you and Rias can help in the magic part with Koneko and Vandill in strength."

Akeno put a finger to her lip in thought, "I don't know. We did try before our Rating Game against Riser Phenex and Azazel said Rias was too soft on training. If I'm being honest I would rather trust whatever he has planned for all of us when we return to Kuoh."

Andreas smiled, "You really are willing to give your father and the rest of Grigori a second chance aren't you? I was given a second chance by Lady Freya and it was thanks to her and…Rota… I was able to open up."

The flicker of sadness did not go unnoticed by Akeno's sharp eyes. This Rota girl sounded very dear to him just as her mother was dear to her. She wanted to ask but it could be a sensitive topic.

"I'm sure Rota would have liked to see the man I have become and the achievements Thor and I have made."

"Andreas…who was Rota?" Havarti asked slowly.

The Greek Einehrjar looked between the Dwarf and Queen for a long moment then to his drink then back to them and sighed. So he told them everything about Rota, his short friendship with the Valkyrie, and how she bravely died protecting children and by the time he came to the funeral he was struggling to keep himself composed. Suddenly Akeno's hand moved forward to grasp his gently, the smile of sad understanding was on her face.

"I know what it's like to lose someone you love dearly, Andreas. Truly I do. I lost my mother when I was just a kid. I sometimes wake up remembering that horrible day…"

"Akeno…"

"It will always hurt and never go away but I must be strong. For her sake. She wouldn't want me to dwell on her loss and keep moving forward so I will do that. I WILL give my father a second chance and you have done that with Thor and the others."

Havarti looked at his watch on his phone, "Speaking of Thor, it's getting late. It's nearly sunset and he still isn't back. Nor are Sigrun, Rossweisse, Bikou and Vandill. I hope they are ok."

That was a good question, where was the God of Thunder and the others now? Still out hunting for The Horde or perhaps they were found and killed by them? No! They couldn't have been killed, Thor was the strongest warrior in the Norse Faction, he couldn't be taken down so easily by monsters but he didn't have Mjolnir so…

"I'm sure they are fine." Andreas reassured, "I fought alongside him at the Battle of Olympus. It'll take more than a thousand monsters to take down Odin's son!"

Akeno giggled, "And he has the love of his life with him. Ufufufu."

"Love of his- ohhh yeah." A mischief smile crept upon Andreas face, "So you know as well huh? The signs are pretty obvious. Truly I hope those two get together soon. Otherwise I will have to help push them to be together."

"Ara. Ara. playing matchmaker are we, Andreas? What about you? I saw you glancing Ylva's way when she wasn't looking. Ufufuf."

Andreas blushed, "W-what are you talking about!?"

"I saw you mesmerized by her looks. You like her don't you?"

"What? N-no! I mean she is pretty but-"

The rest of his words were drowned out by someone shouting and pointing to east, all eyes followed to were she was pointing. Off on the horizon gathered thunder clouds before hundreds of thunderbolts rained down like anchors stopping a ship. Akeno jumped to her feet, her eyes narrowed in concern, she recognized Thor's attacks anywhere. What was going on over there that had the God of Thunder calling upon the element he was famous for? Then it clicked, with all those attacks being sent forth it could only mean one thing.

Suddenly blowing of a horn was heard and it struck terror in all the hearts of the Elfs Akeno could see. Guards on station leapt into action ordering the civilians to hidden caverns beneath the kingdom to take shelter in. She exchanged looks with Havarti and Andreas, the latter already donning his armor and weapons via summoning magic, they all knew what this was.

"It looks like The Horde has been discovered," Akeno said grimly, using magic to change into her Miko attire, "And there going to attack."

As King Theoden said, "So it begins." and it has, The Battle for the Boreal Kingdom is commencing. I was struggling if I wanted to end the chapter on Ylva's warning to Issei but decided to keep going and have the battle be in chapter 50. I cannot believe I've made it to the fiftieth chapter. Talk about dedication.

The Roots of Hope, writer Dunedan, really is an inspiration to me!

We also, by the way, have our first couple! Akeno and Havarti! I never liked the idea of Akeno joining Issei's harem, she just didn't seem like the type to share a man with other women, nor is Rias but Rias is more...acceptable later down the line.

Anyway, the Boreal Kingdom mini-arc was something I've been waiting a long time to reach and it will have Lord of the Rings the Two Towers references to the battle! NO THERE WILL NOT BE AN ELF SHIELD BOARDING DOWN STAIRS SHOOTING ARROWS!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter and be prepared for the next one; The Battle of Boreal has begun!
