Sorry for the late chapter, life's been a little hectic.

Suri and crew make their way into a vampire's den. But not before more drama ensues but it's always drama when vampires are involved.

Whoever that Murphy guy was, Suri really hoped that he was not having a good time beyond the grave. Because it was his stupid so-called law that was in full effect right now. Or maybe he was having a drinking game with the gods right now and all of them were drunk off their asses.

Remember when she said that the night got a lot more complicated?

Well…

It happened again.

Like tonight couldn't get any worse. Oh hell, it probably would so there was no point in her running around this godforsaken building to find a piece of wood to knock on. Actually there was too much gold and tile in sight that Suri doubted there was any wood furniture in this building. Wait, no, there was Master Yasuke's desk! And then again she doubted that the guard escorting her party would even humor the stupid request of oh hey, take me up to the penthouse so I can knock on wood and not have any more bad juju that Suri had thought of.

Because it was too late to knock on wood.

The limos had stopped at Master Yasukue's tower and Suri made the familiar trip from the underground parking garage into the ground level of the large office building. Next came the gold brick road that she remembered following as well and had to marvel at the fact that the place hadn't changed a bit. Especially since when she was here last time, Grandma Kuroyashi had forced them to do some major interior renovations. They'd made it look like that night had never happened.

This time however, they'd turned at the doorway with Security written above it, passed a couple nondescript offices and an area that looked like the police station bullpens you typically see in crime dramas and TV shows. It was an open space with a bunch of desks stationed around its edges and in the middle, all of which were cheap metal and wood topped that you'd buy from an office supply furniture warehouse because you needed them and didn't care about the aesthetic. It was a stark difference to the high class and elegance that the rest of the building showed off. It was like the rest of the building was built around the need to make an impression and look uber grandiose, in here it got you ready to be locked in a cell. And from the looks of it, these weren't jail cells you wanted to be locked inside of.

From the bullpen, the group had then been led into a room that looked like an office building stairwell but only had one level. There was one large landing that spanned the width of the room and then a single flight of stairs that led down to the floor just below and had them greeting a single bare wall with an opening that didn't match the rest of the face. The walls inside this room were smoothed over concrete giving it a very industrial or office high rise feel to it but then the smooth texture came to an abrupt stop where the mouth of a cave opened up. The cave might as well have been lit by torch light because the open caged mine shaft lights illuminated the main path way about as well as fire light would have. It made the place down right dreary and rightfully so because it was meant to make anyone locked inside the two dozen cells lining the first stretch of the cave's interior think twice about their actions.

Luckily the cells all had somewhat humane accommodations in the form of LED lighting, a decently comfortable bunk bed that wasn't just two cots slapped together, and a private bathroom stall. It was the little bit of hospitality they could offer to say see we're not monsters that they tried to paint themselves as.

The first sign of trouble should have been the fact that when they walked in Suri instantly spotted two familiar figures. But seeing Mimi Fujioka in something that wasn't bright, cutesy, and frilly was one of the most disarming things she'd ever seen. She should have been prepared because it was like seeing Chibi outside of one of her Lolita dresses, which was an everyday thing thanks to her UA uniform. Key word on should have. But seeing her standing tall in all of her Amazonian muscle and curves draped in a calf length black silk dress and a black cropped leather jacket was something else. One look at her and the instant thought was death by snu snu but in her case it would probably be death by overly excited hugs. Which she refrained from doing tonight.

So that was red flag number two.

Beside her was Mako Hachimura. He was in a black suit so that wasn't abnormal for him but the leather jacket that matched Fujioka's own was a little interesting. She'd never taken him for the kind of guy that would wear cropped jackets but thanks to his thin, lanky build and his long black hair, he managed to pull it off. No, the red flag was that he wasn't nose deep in a book. By the time Suri had seen Bakugou turning around, it was already too late.

"Ah, what the hell are you dumbasses doing here?"

"Nice to see you too, Kastuki," Suri sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Oh please! Don't get all casual with him. He's not one of yours, Suri."

"Good to see you too Yukari," Suri rolled her eyes again and groaned this time. "Here's a thought; why don't you two stop being so goddamn perfect for each other? I can barely handle him during the day, I don't need double the douchey attitude. Especially not right now."

And then it only got worse because Katsuki spotted a familiar face and not one he was happy to see at all. And for her to show up with Suri and her group?

"What. The fuck. Is she doing here?" Bakugou snarled with absolute hate and venom in his voice. The temperature around him spiked as his fingers began popping with small crackling explosions that gave warning to his intention of frying Toga on the spot. "You pick up another stray villain, Mohawk?"

Yumei hissed and her eyes narrowed at the blatant disrespect that Bakugou had towards her. More than that she felt an odd sense of protectiveness come over her in regards to Toga, something she didn't realize she could feel. Was it Suri's influence? Or was it because she sympathized with the girl in at least one form or another?

"Kaachan," Izuku spoke up, barely able to hide the animalistic growl in his voice. Izumi had made it an effort to make sure Izuku was no longer a welcome mat for Katsuki to walk all over. Not any more. And his tone showed that. "She's on our side so don't even think about laying a hand on her, understand?"

The shift in tone and attitude made Bakugou falter because he hadn't been expecting Izuku to stick up for himself. At least not try and stick up for himself and still look weak as fuck like he normally did. He'd noticed the slow change in his demeanor over the past couple weeks if not the last month ever since Black Whip appeared.

"Let's just get this over with," Suri groaned with exasperation as she stepped forward and made sure to step between her group and the others."I'm done with all of the bullshit tonight so could both of you please, for once in your lives, not be fucking cunts? It'd be greatly appreciated."

Suri turned and grabbed Toga's hand, clasping it tightly and making her jump from the sudden touch, before she began marching forward. With the blonde in tow, Izuku, Tooru, and Mina followed close behind. Aiko and Pazuzu ushered the rest of the group forward before they took up the rear guard, giving their best friendly glares at Yukari and Bakugou as they passed. Yukari and Fujioka were not happy with the apparently blatant disrespect they'd gotten in return.

"Hey! Get-"

"Don't talk to our king like that. It's not nice! And-"

"Babe. Mimi. It's fine." Bakugou sneered, cutting off both girls before they continued any further and caused a fight.

He knew they would because fuck if they weren't both violent as hell when they wanted to be and they were getting there. Mimi looked at him curiously, tilted her head and blinked like she'd forgotten something before she shrugged and went back to the unusual reverence she'd had before. Yukari on the other hand wanted so badly to keep poking the fire. She turned to go after Suri to pick a fight and raise hell. He really did love that fiery attitude of hers because their matching fires could play off of each forever. A thought that didn't scare him. He'd go to war with her by his side and he'd be fucking thrilled, happy even. It was something they shared, which was why she made him her king and he was more than happy to take the mantle. He'd show that damn nerd and Mohawk that he was the better pack leader. He was the best choice to lead and run a clan he and Yukari had made together.

And it was that notion that he was worthy to be a king that made Yukari stop instantly when he placed a hand on her shoulder. He didn't grab her, just placed it there, and his touch, the touch of her king, made her pause and look back at him. The look in his eye made her freeze because it wasn't one he gave very often. It was a look of remorse. It was one she knew well because of the night they'd gotten a little too rough with each other and he'd scarred her with burns on her back. He looked at her like that every time he'd seen her shirtless now and he spotted where he'd left raised tracks across her skin.

It wasn't a look she enjoyed.

"Katsuki?" Yukari asked in a low, gentle tone. It was the same tone she used every time to get him to not think about hurting her. But he hadn't hurt her this time and it worried her that he looked like he saw something he wished he could forget. "You good?"

"It's fine."

That was a red flag that even made Hachimura pause and quirk and eyebrow at the explosion user. He wasn't Bakugou's biggest fan either but he knew when something was wrong. Even he had to take a second glance like he'd misheard his so-called king. Because everyone knew that that was an F word you didn't say.

"Let's go," Bakugou commented, nonchalantly wrapping an arm over Yukari's shoulders as he began walking, pushing her forward with him. He wasn't about to be left in the dust because he couldn't get over what he saw on that stupid villain's back. No, that was one subject he would not be caught dead bringing up again. Ever. "We're not gonna make these dumbasses wait on us, got it?"

"Right," Yukari answered, still thrown off about the sudden change in her boyfriend's demeanor. She knew his triggers, knew what set him off or scared him. He would never admit he was scared of anything. But right now, how he was acting started to scare her. "Yeah. Fujioka, Hachimura, come on."

"Yes, my queen," the two answered in unison, briefly looking at each other with concern. The concern was brief but both of them followed anyway, making sure they kept on their king and queen's heels.

It didn't take long for them to catch up to Suri's group. And when they'd all gotten to the end of the hallway full of cells where it opened into the next stretch of cave, their worry and indifference turned to angst. Angst because four people none of them wanted anything to do with were waiting for them. The twins, De'Jon and De'Ante, stood in the mouth of the downward stretch of the cave that led deeper into the belly of Master Yasuke's fortress, ready to lead the way. Of course not before making the entire situation even more uncomfortable and unbearable.

Katsuki, Yukari, Fujioka, and Hachimura joined the group just in time to hear Suri barking a snide comment at De'Jon. From the sounds of it, he was bargaining that he deserved a date with Suri if Izuku was going to be going on one with Akeno. On one hand he was mad that the lioness had done something without his permission but on the other he was hoping he could capitalize on an opportunity. And now that De'Ante and Rissa had heard what happened…

"What do you think, hon?" Rissa asked with a grin, turning her draconic eyes directly onto Yukari and Katsuki as they walked up. De'Ante looked bored as ever as he watched the antics going on between his twin and Suri and now the drama his queen was trying to stir up. "If Kit Kat over there is gonna give their so-called king a test run, why don't I give him a try?"

"Do not call me Kit Kat, you wretched overgrown lizard," Akeno sneered, laying a low rolling growl into her tone as she shifted her annoyance and anger at the dragon girl. "And please, for the love of the gods, stop this stupid dumb act you are pulling. No one believes it."

"And what act would that be," Rissa smiled, making the lioness twitch in anger more with the fake smile being given to her.

"Oi, both of you stop being dumbasses," Katsuki growled, giving both of them a look that said he was absolutely fed up with everything. "What did you do this time, Deku?"

"Nothing," Izuku groaned, flexing his fists.

"A mere human cannot be fit to be a clan leader," Akeno humphed, crossing her arms tightly as she turned up her chin and nose. "Because they insist that he is, I am taking the challenge that the Silver Moon's Hati issued earlier this evening."

"What challenge?" Yukari scoffed, shaking her head as she gave Suri and her clan an incredulous look. She then gave Akeno a very unfriendly look because what she was saying also applied to Katsuki, her own king.

"He is going to take me for an evening," Akeno declared with a smirk and then leveled a gaze at Izuku as she spoke and then jabbed a finger at his chest, making sure he knew she didn't think he was capable. "Should he impress me during a dinner and night out together he will then prove himself worthy of his apparent kingship in my bed."

"Our bed," De'Jon corrected with a disdain filled mutter in his breath, giving Izuku a glance that had more anger and hate inside of it than was humanly possible.

"Tch," Katsuki scoffed and rolled his eyes at the thought. "Too easy."

"Oh, you think you could do better?" Rissa dared, earning a low rumbling growl from Yukari who was jabbing Katsuki with her elbow to make sure he didn't do something stupid.

"Hell yeah I could! You're looking at the next number one in Japan. That useless nerd will never be as good as I am," the blonde grinned, raiding his chin in pride. And because he was on a pride kick, he kept going, ignoring his girlfriend's elbow jabs. "You want a real king? You're looking at one."

"If she's too easy," Rissa grinned, baring fangs with overzealous delight. "Why don't you take me one for size then, hon? Or will it take both of you?"

Rissa turned that wicked grin directly at Yukari, who was fuming and growling even more because her man didn't know when to stop. He was making an ass of himself and making enemies if the look and feel of rage coming from Akeno and De'Jon was anything to go by. The lioness was angry before they'd gotten there just from having to be in Suri's and Rissa's presence, now Katsuki had flat out provoked her into a fuming rage.

"Tch! I doubt you could handle me let alone the two of us," Katsuki sneered and then let his own pride filled wicked grin stretch across his face. "I bet I could fuck you hard enough you'd stop this stupid accent of yours. But she'll have you crawlin' on your knees back to England singin' God Save The Queen."

"Katsuki!"

"Fucking, what? You know it's the goddamn truth!"

"Deal."

"Huh?" Everyone turned their gaze from Yukari and Katsuki beginning to bicker and argue towards Rissa who looked like she'd just won the lottery or something. De'Ante behind her was just shaking his head and rolling his eyes but there was no mistaking the small amused smile stretched across his lips.

"Dragons are much harder to tame than a kitten like her but if you can put your money where your mouth is? I won't have any doubts in you. And you," Rissa igglied under her breath, strutting the two steps it took to come to Yukari. The taller draconic girl gave the shorter one a lustful gaze as she reached out and dragged a scaled finger under Yukari's chin to cup it seductively. "You make me do what he says and you'll prove why I wanted you as a partnered mate for my De'Ante in the first place."

"I told you a long time ago, I ain't gonna be a bloodsucker's bitch," Yukari snarled, jerking away from the dragon girl's touch. It only proved to make her giggle with delight.

"Well then I guess you'll just be mine," Rissa grinned and turned on her heels to walk away before she could get a reaction or response from the beast girl. Yukari growled loudly even as Rissa took De'Ante's hand and the two of them began walking down the long descent that led deeper into the cave. "Come now, let's get this over with. The sooner the tribunal is over, the sooner I get to play with you two."

"And the sooner we prove humans cannot be preternatural kings," Akeno added with her own indignance before taking De'Jon's hand and walking with him in tow behind his brother.

Both Suri and Yukari's clans stood silent for a long moment, watching the two vampires and their brides walk away from them. Everyone was either seething with anger or were pushed to exasperation. The four had made a very sour impression on everyone and no one wanted to be anywhere near them, let alone have the displeasure to talk to them any time soon. The negative impression had gone so far to even annoy Toga who hadn't had any interaction with the four of them prior to just now. It was the blonde that finally broke the silence as she slipped closer to Suri, cautiously placing a hand on her shoulder before peeking around her and narrowing her eyes at the vampire twins, werelion, and dragonborn.

"Do you want me to stab them?"

"No," Suri sighed, letting out a loud annoyed breath as she closed her eyes and tried to focus on something else other than being annoyed beyond belief. Surprisingly, Toga's request had helped calm her down and help her get back on track to being as okay as she could be. "As much as I want to, we can't do anything to risk tonight's shindig."

"Damn," Toga groaned, somewhere between sad and annoyed she couldn't do what she wanted. Moreover, she knew she should be more annoyed and knew part of her didn't like the close proximity of everyone around her. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to fix that inkling.

"Suri's right," Yukari sighed and began walking forward, leading Katsuki along with Fujioka and Hachimura behind her. "Let's go get this over with. Whatever all of this is."

"I'm guessing you've never been to one of these things either, huh?" Suri asked, leading her clan behind her so that the two groups melded into one.

As they walked the formation ended up with Suri, Yukari, Izuku, and Katsuki leading the way. Behind them was Toga with Tooru and Mina on either side of her and Aiko, Pazuzu, Fujioka, and Hachimura behind them. Next came Yumei and Suri's coven of Ryuko, Saito, Chibi, and Taiga with Koto, Hanegawa, and Mai bringing up the rear. They made an effort to keep pace with the foursome in front of them so as to not get lost but made the trek through the cave on their own accord. The trek confirmed one thing for all of the girls; heels were a bad idea.

"No. But then again, they're rare so I guess we can't be surprised neither of us have," Yukari shrugged, keeping her eyes focused on the vampire and dragoness. She was watching for them to do something shady and had her guard up.

"Sebastien called it a tribunal and explained that it was like a trial, right? So does that mean all criminal action among vampires is handled in a place like this?" Izuku pondered out loud.

"No," Yukari answered, shaking her head. "If I remember right, mom said that basic misdemeanors and felonies are handled like any other crime. It's the stuff that could get you executed that requires stuff like this."

"I get it," Katsuki answered with a gruff tone and a nod of his head. "Like how you said someone mass infecting people with lycanthropy will get tortured and then beheaded. Or for violating pack laws like what was gonna happen to Mohawk," he looked to Suri out of the corner of his eye to see her nod and confirm his thought. "But the asshole is a tiger, right? So why are the vamps handling all of this?"

"Because he left me as the only surviving tiger in the ambush," Taiga answered solemnly, then her voice changed to something bitter as she choked a humorless laugh. "Can't be put on trial by the members of your tribe when there's no one left to judge you."

"If what we uncovered during our investigations is true, then he's getting put on trial by the vamps cause his plan directly threatened their entire existence," Suri added, watching Katsuki and Yukari out of the corner of her eye.

"All of this for threatening a couple vampires?" Hachimura asked incredulously.

"Not just a couple," Suri shook her head. "He was targeting every single council in the world. It was an all out declaration of war and he planned on getting rid of every single vampire."

"Complete genocide?" Yukari scoffed with a look of awe. "Fuck me."

With those words, the group came to another opening in the cave that opened into a dome shaped room that was easily fifty yards in diameter and split into two levels. The upper level where they were was a large landing that led to two semi circle staircases that followed the curved walls of the room. The landing was open to the floor below and allowed you to see everyone inside the room but allowed them to see you as well. It meant that the room, brightly illuminated by a massive crystal chandelier hung in its center, was now aware of the group's arrival and all eyes were on them.

The power inside the room was overwhelming just standing in the doorway. And it only got worse as the seconds stretched on as more power and energy flooded the chamber with various spices and flavors of creature. Of course there was the overwhelming cold press of death radiating from all of the vampires in the room but it was that cold that kept the room warm and not scorching hot. The chamber had the burning heat of wereanimals of all kinds, lion being the most prominent of them all. Mixed amongst the lions were wolves, leopards, and rats - which was an interesting find - rounding out the wild energy that was combating the energy of pure magic, ancient even, which meant there were a variety of fae as well.

And all of that overwhelming energy and power now had the eyes of nearly three hundred people looking straight up at the teens. It was like they were small prey bleeding out and being dangled over a pool full of sharks. Everyone smelled fresh blood in the water and nearly all of them were wanting to test their power and see if they would be the first to pounce. This was the group's first foray into the hungry den of monsters and they were instantly regretting it.

"Fuck me, is right…"

"Let's just get this over with," Katsuki growled, his eyes narrowed at everyone below. "Yu, Mimi, Mako, we're going down this way so they don't think we're with these losers."

"Yes, sir," Mimi and Mako replied in unison, the two of them trying to hide the slight smiles curled into their lips as they watched the blonde swing his left arm over Yukari's shoulders and begin walking with her.

Suri's brow lifted in surprise. Not because she didn't think Katsuki and Yukari were capable of not being assholes but something else. It reminded Suri of the time that the school had lined up outside the door of 1-A, except this time, he was far more considerate of his image. Or maybe it wasn't so much his image alone. He didn't care about how he looked when it came to other people around him, he embraced the whole scary wild animal kind of vibe people had slapped him with. But here and now? Well Suri couldn't deny the way that Yukari looked at him as he began leading her along. And there was no denying the way he felt for her.

"Right," Suri sighed, rolling her eyes and trying not to be too happy for the couple. "Guess we're going down this way and hope and pray to the gods that we don't get into a fight."

"Yes, ma'am," everyone behind her replied quietly in unison. The chorus was enough to make Suri shiver with the excitement and anticipation that hearing those two words gave her, especially in a place and setting like this.

"Okay, I see my old man and Sebastien," Suri said as her eyes scanned the room while they descended down the curved stairs.

She watched as other vampires, ones that she could faintly feel across the room, began to filter into a grand entrance with large wood and brass double doors that looked like they were straight off of an old victorian era manor. Probably because there was a very good chance they were. She watched as the vampires would get to the door with a small party and then only the vamp and another, probably their master servant, would enter. It meant that her group would have to split up again. She wasn't the only one to notice.

"I guess we're not all going in then," Izuku said quietly, his voice low and husky as he followed where the parties split off. It was also apparent that Danger Sense was going off because several people he watched made his eye twitch from the sudden jolt of the fourth user's Quirk. "I don't like the looks of a lot of these people."

"Agreed," Pazuzu added, his eyes narrowed into a thin scowl as he scanned the room as well. Then he did something that neither Suri or Izuku expected of him; he gave out commands. "Mai, Kaneki, find us an open spot. We want our backs to the wall so no one can come from behind. Aiko and I will escort everyone else to you once we've gotten our Lupra, Fenrir, and Freyjas through that door."

"Yes, sir."

"What about me?" Toga dared to ask in a low husky tone. She was annoyed that she hadn't been mentioned and wanted to know where she fit into the werewolf's plan in all of this.

"You're with me," Suri answered, looking over her shoulder and locking eyes with the blonde girl. "We'll stay in this same formation all the way through to wherever the fuck we're going."

"And how do I know you won't just toss me aside once we're through that door?" Toga questioned, her eyes narrowing at the beast girl.

"We wouldn't be very good heroes if we did that, now would we?" Izuku smiled, giving Toga the full gentle gaze that made her nearly melt on the spot. He'd turned on the charm just for her to make sure she'd follow them in hell itself and with how deep her feelings went for him, she'd do exactly that.

"Okay," Suri breathed out, pushing as much nervousness as she could out of her as they made it to the bottom of the stairs and stepped into the crowd. "Kaneki, Mai, you're up. Yumei, keep an eye out for them since you can see above the crowd."

"Got it," the three of them said in unison.

Mai and Hanegawa made a beeline for the same wall the stairs they'd come down followed. They weren't shy about making sure they had room to move either, which got them several vicious glares but no action was taken. They were just seen as rude kids by the older members of the crowd. Which was fine by them. Yumei kept her eyes on them the entire time, watching them push past one more group to find an opening big enough for all of them, or one that should have been big enough. She figured they'd have to squeeze in a little to be comfortable but it wasn't anything worse than what they did normally spending nights together. They'd squeezed most of the nine of them - their polycule - onto Suri's California King sized bed before, standing room was nothing compared to trying to fit sleeping arrangements.

"Mon cher petit chiot, you found us," Sebastien smiled, cleverly hiding his fang while he held out a hand extended towards her. Everyone around him turned their gaze towards her group and backed away, allowing them room to go through. His words had been bright and cheery, a delightful kind of tone that you'd get lost in, but the way everyone reacted it was like he told them very angrily to back the fuck up. He'd laced his voice with his power. "The journey was not too harrowing I presume?"

"No, not at all," Suri replied, giving him a smile that didn't reach her ears. She'd put it on for show, just like his friendly tone had been. "Reminds me of some of the tunnels back home."

"Ah. Good good, I am happy you got to have some levity," he nodded and then turned his gaze towards the door. Suri watched his smile falter. Was he dreading this just as much as she was afterall? "Now then, if you would be so kind, follow me. And do stay close."

"Who am I allowed to take?" Suri asked with a level tone.

Sebastien, lifted his brow and thought of Suri's request. He and Suri both watched as Master Yasuke took in both of his sons with Akeno and Rissa in tow and Yukari and Bakugou close behind them. It made Suri narrow her eyes in suspicion that the two of them were with them. Were they sponsored by him like Suri and hers were being sponsored by Sebastien? Then again, why were they here in the first place?

"Miss Toga, ma petit chaton de sang, will be required of course," Sebastien waved nonchalantly while he gave a gallic shrug. The nickname made Toga hiss with a shiver that wasn't a pleasant feeling at all. "Under normal circumstances you would be allowed your ruling partner or pieces to your triumvirate. If you are without a ruling partner you would have a bodyguard accompany you. However, in your case," Sebastien chuckled then as he looked over Suri's clan and let his head bounce in amusement.

"Looks like we called it right," Tooru replied, looking back and forth between the doorway, Suri, and the rest of their polycule and coven behind them.

"No worries, love, we'll be okay," Ryuko answered, quickly making her way up to hug Tooru, Mina, Suri, and Izuku. She then gave Aiko and Pazuzu a nod as she slipped back into the crowd, taking the coven with her. Before she disappeared out of sight, Aiko and Pazuzu gave Suri a smile and a nod before they too slipped back into the crowd.

"Be safe, all of you," Yumei nodded as well, blowing a kiss to them as she followed closely behind the werewolf and wereleopard back to her friends and lovers.

Suri, Izuku, Mina, and Tooru all smiled and gave them an all and adoring smile as they watched their friends disappear into the crowd. All that was left was the crowd that Sebastien had helped to disperse a little, still unsure how to look in front of the old vampire.

"All right, pupkit," Alpha breathed in as he gave his friend a cautious look. "You ready for this?"

"As ready as I'll ever be," she replied and pressed forward, briefly letting her fingers brush over her mates and making sure they turned to follow her.

Izuku was instantly on her right side before another second had passed. She couldn't help but giving him a big, loving grin as he took her hand and walked with her side by side. She turned that grin to look over her shoulder and couldn't help but let out a small giggle because behind her, Mina and Tooru had each taken one of Toga's hands and were leading her along. Her expression was somewhere between embarrassed, happy and giddy, and not knowing what emotion her mind and body should be expressing. She seemed… out of place but happy.

"All right, let's find out what's on the other side."

And with that, their group disappeared through the big Victorian door and into a dark hallway unsure what it led to. But as long as they had each other, did it matter?

No.

Not in the least.

And for the first time in a long time, Suri could say that vampires didn't scare her anymore.

Thank fuck for that.
