" The Queen screamed and raged and everything burned into ashes around her. The palace, once the symbol of their power united now reduced to nothing but rubble. It was no longer 'they' in this any more, her King had abandoned her. He was never by her side since the start.-"

The sounds of rattling glass echoed through Billy's apartment. As the window opened, Billy didn't have to look to know who was entering.

"Jay if you want to see me you could have just knocked on the door like a normal person."

Jason Todd laughed. " Nah, this is way more fun."

Billy sigh but kept his sight on the book.

"The Queen rage and rage and rage and then it caught her eyes. A tiny stuffed dog, burned and missing its owner."

" So what do you want?"

" Aww, can't I visit my one best friend ?" Jason leaned down, wrapping his hands around Billy's shoulders. " isn't my awesome presence better than that dust old bo-"

" You had an argument with your brother and you're avoiding both him and Professor Wayne."

Billy put down his book as Jason let go of him. The other boy plopped down on Billy's bed and buried his face in the pillow. Muffled groans filled the room. As Professor Wayne's second adopted son, Jason had a rocky relationship with his older brother. Billy wasn't expecting it to be this rocky.

Billy moves to comfort his friend, his book laid forgotten on the table.

"Then Queen weeped.

Then the flame stopped.

She tried to find them, to find her children, her precious girls through the rubbles but it was too late.

Her rage had left nothing but ashes in its wakes.

And there she was, weeping for the loss of her beloves.

Alone once again."

But oh mother, I live on.
