Jeanne let out a sigh. She took a drink out of a vending machine, assuming it was some sort of fruity drink because it was super colorful. Unfortunately for her taste buds, it was not.
She crushes the can and slams it to the ground. "Who the hell decided to make sushi in a can?! The hell is up with this damn place?!"
She really doesn't get it... Her master... She came along with him to this weird ass city, mainly because she had to... but, she doesn't really get this place at all! Day four of being in this place, and honestly, it's all hormonal teenagers and super advanced technological stuff! The Grail can only educate her so much... City of science and espers her ass! The only thing she encountered here were stupid trash robots and that madman of a magician the other day. Supposedly espers are supposed to be everywhere, but all she sees are stupid kids...
Then it clicks.
The stupid kids... are the espers...
It's called Academy City after all!!! She feels kind of stupid. Perish the thought...
She begins to walk down the street, aimlessly going around the district. She figures that she should at least stay within District uhhh, seven, was it? Yeah, district seven. Staying here will make it easy for her master to find her, y'know, after his classes.
As Jeanne walks down the street, she swears she spots her master getting chased down by a horde of boys... The fuck? Should she...?
"Tch. Getting yourself in trouble already?"
She races down the street toward her Master, completely running through the horde of boys.
(POV: Kamijou Touma)
"Such...Such misfortune!"
The school day had ended already, and it was immediately after class that I was cornered by Aogami and his stupid cult following of boys! They said they had to put the Kami-yan Disease to rest, whatever the hell that meant!
Pardoning my French, I think what's more important here is the fact that they're so persistent! I've been running for about an hour now! The average thug would've gave up already! But whenever they get tired, they just yell "Uoooooh" and get back up!
Soon, I notice a figure moving towards me, and it's none other than... Jeanne??? I thought she was at the apartment! Well, talk about convenient!
"Master, the fuck is going on?!" she yells.
"Too hard to explain. Long story short? This Kamijou is in trouble because of a misunderstanding! Uh... if you could deter them, without killing them, that would be nice..."
Jeanne's expression soured. She's meant to be fighting things worth her time... like another servant, or a mage! But, alas, stopping a group of high school boys from pummeling her master is, unfortunately, what she has to focus on...
She handled them, easily. She didn't do anything too fancy, she just beat them down with her hands. What bothered her though, was that one of them in particular, a blue haired fella, was... enjoying it! Disgusted, she knocked him senseless. She then turns her attention to me.
"You must... want an explanation, right?"
She glares at me with a mix of annoyance or some form of disgust.
"I'll take that as a yes... So, it all started when-"
(Several hours before)
(POV: Kamijou)
Nia Songzi. That was the false name that the true Magic God, Niang Niang, came up with to blend into my school. She played the part well, honestly. A cute transfer student from China. She spoke fluent Japanese, she was kind and warm to everyone. She caught the attention of many boys.
That was the problem. Niang Niang, in traditional Niang Niang fashion, decided to stick with me, as the transfer student of course. She sat next to me in class, at lunch, she even followed me to my dorm. No one knew that Nia Songzi was the girl capable of evaporating our current existence. No one knew that the warm transfer student was the impossible, undead, weapon-toting magic goddess. And really, who could blame them? They didn't know better.
She had the perfect personality set up. Unfortunately, she dropped that when we were alone, going back to her less refined self. Really, such misfortune. Today, she, or rather, I, had struck a chord with the fellow boys of my class. Niang Niang had referred to me by my first name, a little too casually, and it threw Aogami into a frenzy. He was "tired of Kami-yan stealing every girl he lays eyes upon like some harem lord". So, he and the others chased me out of school, and into the city, to finally "put and end to the Kami-yan disease once and for all".
Leading to the current situation.
(POV: Jeanne)
I blinked. Once. Twice. Three times. There's actually no way. No. Fucking. Way. My master didn't just share a face with him, he also shared his woman stealing capabilities. At least he doesn't abuse his strange womanizing powers. Gah! I'm getting distracted.
My master was getting chased by a horde of boys, because of a girl?! ARGH! Kids are so- Wait. Physically, I'm only two years older than him... So, should I really be calling my master a kid? Ugh. But really, why was I going out of my way to save him from such a stupid pinch? Was my master really incapable of stopping twelve boys? He's survived the likes of that insufferable Saber, and yet, he can't stop a couple of losers? Seriously, is he a coward? Fucking dolt.
I said I would go easy on him, he's but a fledgling in the magic world after all... But his incompetence really pisses me off! Plus, he shares a face with that geezer! Taichi Kamijou... that insufferably charismatic, twenty-something, cocky ass saint. I called him geezer all that time ago because of his mannerisms. Seems that apple doesn't fall to far from the tree.
Just thinking about him pisses me off! He was a saint, but the bastard acted nothing like one! He was a sleazebag, a drunk, and a womanizer! He was a lazy bum! That stupid hedgehog hair and his deep green eyes haunted my memories, honestly! One thing I can't deny, though, was his principles. When he did get serious, he fought not for himself, but for others. He set out to rid the world of Dragons, and he did so singlehandedly, sealing them away for good, and inadvertently making the most powerful seal the world had ever seen. Something so powerful, even God trembled. He had a bad habit of pushing others away and shouldering all his suffering on his own... Ugh. Pisses me off the more I think about him. Enough about the goober!
His descendant was my master, a cruel twist of fate. I was summoned in the heat of the moment, just meant to stop him from dying to that insufferable Saber. But, is he even aware of what he's gotten himself into? Did those two mages even tell him? He's got himself locked into something far beyond him... Well, I'll worry about that later.
"I'm in the mood to eat, master. Anyplace good?"
Sure, I didn't NEED to eat, but I felt like it.
(POV: ???)
"8 Masters selected. 8 more to go."
8 servants, fearsome beings from the past.
- First Hassan, Assassin.
- Queen Draco, Alter Ego.
- Scathatch Skadi, Caster.
- Mysterious Heroine X, Berserker.
- William Tell, Archer.
- Artoria Pendragon, Saber Alter.
- Lancelot, Berserker.
- Jeanne d'arc, Avenger Alter.
A man grinned. This was truly too convenient. The Global Grail War is going as planned. Sure, a few servants might be Masterless, but that matters not. All he needs is the sacrifices to the Greater Grail, and then, he can bring him back...
The Eternal One. The Serpentine Dragon. Eternity Incarnate.
He has many names, but there is only one that truly fits him best.
Ouroboros
A snake. It represents all that is infinite and eternal. But during the earlier times, he was a man. Infinitely reincarnating, only having been sealed by that Saint, Kamijou. He was then cast away into a phase beyond mortal comprehension. He is above Fafnir and his calamities, but that Saint had the gall to put him away. So unfortunately, he has to resort to more... uncivilized, ways of reaching his goal. The Greatee Grail should be more than enough, though.
"Dima. I want you to strike again tonight. That Kamijou boy will face the sins of his elders... But he will also be the first casualty of this Grail War. I will make sure of it!"
The man turned to the mage behind him. "Well? Get a move on!"
The mage, Dima, an unstoppable force, sought his target. A normal high school boy you could find anywhere. He wouldn't go easy this time. He would crush Kamijou, and his Servant, beyond repair.
