Ash was confused at this someone just requested a trade right off the bat? He switched back over to the GTS and saw that someone was asking for a trade offering a Phantump for one of his Tauros, Ash raised a brow he had expected a chat request but this trainer just wanted to trade outright without talking which threw him off.

He just placed another one of his Tauros on the pad and accepted the trade, he remembered the Shiny Phantump he and his friends had helped back in Kalos and remembered that they could evolve into Trevenant which was a powerful Grass/Ghost Type while he had plenty of Grass-Types. Still, he was lacking in Ghost-Types he didn't own a single one he was close to owning a Haunter but he left it with Sabrina back in his original journey. If he remembered correctly if Rowlet chose to evolve he would have become Decidueye which was Grass/Ghost.

He shrugged and grabbed the ball from the tray which was a Standard PokeBall like the one he sent and released his newest Pokemon from its ball and was ready to greet it but instead of the Stump Pokemon he came face to face with a Trevenant the sudden appearance of the tree surprised Ash.

"Huh!?" He exclaimed his Rotom Phone flying in front of him scanning Trevenant.

"People fear it due to a belief that it devours any who try to cut down trees in its forest, but to the Pokémon, it shares its woods with, its kind. It has the ability Natural Cure and knows the moves Horn Leech, Shadow Claw, Will-O-Wisp, and Leech Seed"

The Elder Tree Pokemon looked at Ash, concerned by his reaction seeing this Ash quickly reassured it.

"Hey Hey Don't worry I was just surprised because I forgot Phantump can evolve when put through a trading machine I'm not afraid of you," He said placing his hand on Trevenant's shoulder, his mind wandering back to one of Professor Kukui's lectures about how some Pokemon could evolve through the use of Trading Machines such as the Trevenant and Machamp lines, he also remembered how certain Pokemon needed to be holding items while being traded such as Duclops into Dusknoir with a Phantom's Cloth or a Rhydon into a Rhyperior using a Protector.

He shook his head and smiled turning his attention back to his newest team member "Since I upset you how about I get you some berries?" He offered hoping to make up for causing them to get upset.

The Grass/Ghost hearing the offer clapped their hands giving their best possible smile and nodding eagerly It seems it liked berries, and he chuckled "Alright, please wait here so I can go get them" He turns to leave but the Trevenant grabbed his arm stopping it.

"Huh? What is it?" He asked turning to the Tree Pokemon, it pointed to him and pointed back at himself "Uh do you want to go with me?" He asked confused he nodded and smiled clapping its woody hands together which seems to be a favorite gesture of the newest member of the team.

"Alright you can come with me" He rolled his eyes at their eagerness and chuckled Trevenant must like berries he briefly thought before leading him away to the storage room.

– 5 Minutes Later –

And he was correct, Trevenant REALLY loved berries and the second the Grass-Type knew where Professor Oak kept his supply of berries he began to devour them at a pace that made the trainer regret allowing him to follow him here.

Ash would likely have to start a berry farm as Trevenant eats 60-something berries favoring the taste of Oran Berries other the rest.

"Oh man Professor Oak is gonna kill me" he complained as Trevenant seemingly finished indulging in its berry addiction a crate of Oran Berries sat beside it half empty with the remaining contents spilling out of the overturned container.

"Come on Trevenant come on let's introduce you to the others," He asked.

"Treve Nant" It agreed standing up "And can you please clean up your mess?" Ash asked motioning to the mess of crates with holes in them berries spilling out onto the ground around them and because they were a sloppy eater puddles of Berry juice splattered onto the tiled floor of the store room.

Looking down at the mess they had made and chuckling nervously Ash just shrugged and waved it off "I'll get a Mop and you can go outside, please tell my Pokemon I wish to see them in about 20 minutes" He said leaving the room searching for a Mop and cleaning up the mess Trevenant left behind mopping up the spilled juices and putting away the undamaged berries in the crates before leaving, he looked at his phone and saw he still had 13 minutes before his Pokemon would gather.

He thought back to his earlier promise about reuniting his family and decided to get a few members back, he pulled up the phone function and dialed a number he hadn't used in a while.

"Hello, Anthony here who is this?" The voice questioned, right Ash forgot that Anthony wouldn't recognize the number of his relatively new RotomPhone.

"Oh sorry it's me Ash Ketchum you're training my Primeape," He said trying to jog his memory.

"Oh hey man it's been a while, I guess you're calling about your Annihilape?" Anthony questioned confusing Ash.

"What is an Annihilape I have a Primeape?" Ash questioned confused, making Anthony laugh.

"Oh, you don't know?" He asked "Primeape evolves into Annihilape after they use the move Rage Fist enough times" He informed, Ash's heart swelled in joy at his first Fighting-Type's accomplishment only for it to drop as he realized that his newly appointed Annihilape had evolved without any input from him.

"Oh, I'm so glad for him! I was just calling to see if Prime I mean Annihilape wanted to come back it's been a while since we've seen each other but it seems you guys are doing great" He said pushing down the biting pain of disappointment and sadness, Anthony not picking this up interrupted him,

"No no no It's fine Ash he's been wanting to see you again In fact he's the main reason to say your battle with that Gladion fellow, nearly beat my… OOF!" The sound of Anthony being knocked over and the phone being taken by someone else.

"Ape?" a new voice questioned, it was deep and wispy like a Ghost-Type but something told him this was the Pokemon he hasn't seen in years.

"Hey Prime I mean Annihilape I'm sorry buddy I need to get your new name," He said rubbing his head.

"Annihilape!!" The voice excitedly exclaimed it was so loud that Ash was forced to pull the device away from his head.

"Hey buddy It's been a while," he said after recovering from the shout.

"Hil ape ape Anni apap" The Pokemon chastised his trainer, while Ash couldn't truly understand the words the Raging Ape Pokemon was saying but somehow he could tell what was being said, basically he was being chewed out for forgetting about him for these years, and the trainer couldn't help but take the tongue lashing.

"I know, I know, I should make more visits, and I'm actively working on that. I'm sure you're aware that I've recently achieved the title of the Alola Region's first champion. I plan to reunite with the Pokémon I had left for training and even I've released for more severe training. Well, 'severe' might sound a bit harsh; I don't intend to imply any harm to you all," he quickly corrected himself.

He hears Annihilape on the other side of the phone cheering and dropping the phone if the clattering noise was anything to go by "Annihilape dropped the phone and is currently looking for his PokeBall Ow!" Anthony said having recovered from what sounded like a Sucker Punch to the side when Annihilape shoved him aside.

"Well from that reaction I guess he wants to come back?" He asked only to flinch as he heard something get tipped over and crash against the floor on the outside of the phone.

"Oh come on! You know that's not where your ball is kept!" Anthony shouted towards the unseen Fighting-Type who continued rummaging around.

"Are you sure it's okay for him to rejoin me?" He asked curiously confusing Anthony.

"What do you mean he's your Pokemon it's not like I could stop you from taking him back even if I wanted to which I don't," He said trying to split his focus between talking with Ash and trying to prevent the overeager Fighting-Type from wrecking his Dojo he was contemplating sending out Hitmonchan to help him restrain it.

"Well you guys were doing great together in the P1 Grand Prixes you and Annihilape kept the Championship 5 years in a row," He said chuckling nervously.

"Oh is that what got you worried? Annihilape has been wanting to return for a while now I just never got your phone number!" He laughed causing Ash to facepalm at his stupidity.

"And besides that, I've taught Annihilape all I could, and due to his evolution I can't properly continue training him" Anthony continued confusing Ash.

"Huh, why is that?" He asked.

"Well Annihilape is part Ghost-Type and I only have Pure Fighters here so none of my Pokemon can hit him and from what I saw of your league battles you got some tough Pokemon that can give him a run for his money and two hit the bugger" He joked causing Ash to laugh at the last comment.

"Alright so if you want I'm near a transporter you can have him transported here whenever you find his ball," Ash asked getting closer to the PC.

"Hmm nah, I'm thinking of driving up there and handing him over myself 'cause I got something for you" Anthony denied, Ash was stunned by the denial but it quickly turned to curiousness.

"Oh, what was it?" He questioned curiously.

"You'll have to wait until I get down there buddy to find out, you still live near Oak's lab?" Anthony questioned.

"Yes, I do I'll be here for a few months before I even think about leaving" He confirmed and informed him before another crash could be heard.

"Alright I gotta go that was my dresser, see you in a couple of days Ash!" With that, he hung up. Ash sighed shaking his head he looked at the time and saw he had about 5 more minutes before his team grouped up, deciding he should go outside and wait for them he went to leave but was stopped by his phone ringing the sound of the device ringing made him jump badly. Taking a second to recover he checked the number and realized he didn't recognize it, curious he answered it.

"Hello, who is this?" Ash questioned.

"Hello, Ash it's been a while!" The elder voice of Charles Goodshow spoke up from the other side of the phone.

Ash's eyes widened in surprise, and a mix of emotions swirled within him. "Mr. Goodshow? Wow, it really has been a while. How have you been?"

A hearty chuckle echoed through the phone. "I've been well, thank you. I saw that you became the Alola region's first champion congratulations I was rooting for you!" The older man congratulated him.

He blushed at the congratulations but shook it off quickly "Thanks Mr. Goodshow but I don't think a man like you would call me just for that"

"Hahaha you're right about that Mr. Ketchum since you're a champion now You'll start getting responsibilities just like the rest of the champions, don't worry we will be discussing this at the meeting this Friday afternoon"

Ash's eyebrows shot up in surprise. He hadn't expected the conversation to take such a turn. "Meeting? What meeting?"

Charles Goodshow's voice remained genial, but now there was a hint of business in his tone.

"Oh don't worry Ash it's nothing too important just an introductory meeting introducing you to the champions of the other regions and discussing Alola's building their own League circuit," He explained.

"Oh and don't worry about traveling anywhere for this meeting it's gonna take place over a video call, I'm just here to ask you to stay by a suitable device capable of having a call like this so no traveling until then, I'll send you the access code so you can download and gain access to the Official League chatroom App so we can conduct the meeting" Mr. Goodshow explained.

It took Ash a minute for this information to register "Alright Mr. Goodshow I already planned to stay in Pallet Town for a while to train my Pokemon to get stronger"

"Good, the meeting starts at 2 pm this Friday so please don't be late to your first official League meeting, oh and after you download the app feel free to talk with the other champions," Mr. Goodshow said ending the call.

Ash looked at his and accessed the link Mr. Goodshow had sent him which downloaded the mentioned app though he decided to forgo any chatting until after he talked with his Pokemon. Seeing the time he rushed outside.
