Author's Note: Bo..Bo...Bo..Bonus Chapter.

I combined three chapters into one in this chapter and will be aging up Valerius one or two years every chapter till he reaches 12. From then on the real plot starts. I will writing some arcs before that to bring Valerius down to Earth or rather back down to Planetos. (Muhaha I'm Evil.*Cough* that hurt my throat).

Without further ado enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 4: Threads of Love and Ambition

Valerius Veleri's childhood in Braavos was a tapestry woven with love and curiosity. At five, he observed his parents' devotion, hoping to build a legacy beyond Braavos.

The merchants' calls filled the air as Valerius navigated the bustling streets, his steps purposeful. His young mind sought knowledge, a thirst for understanding the world around him.

Kanno Veleri, Valerius's father, a merchant and keyholder, was a man of influence in both worlds. His decisions were a wellspring of guidance, and Valerius soaked in every lesson.

As Valerius walked, he remembered his mother, Alysara. Her grace and intelligence had guided his life, her support allowing him to pursue his ambitions with determination.

The Veleri household was united—a family bound by love and shared aspirations. Valerius knew his family's standing was a testament to their unity and determination.

His gaze rested on the Iron Bank, an institution that shaped destinies. Kanno's position as a keyholder was a sign of the Veleri family's power.

Valerius mused, 'Love and ambition are two sides of the same coin.' His family's success was his own, their triumphs his to celebrate.

He understood the toll of war, its ravages and pain. Yet, the path to conquer Essos meant facing this harsh reality—a truth he must confront.

'Family and power,' he thought, 'are intertwined like threads in a tapestry.' His love fueled ambition, propelling him forward.

The thought of war, however, made his heart uneasy. He had seen its cost, its toll on lives and families.

'Love,' Valerius realized, 'will be my beacon in the darkness of war.' The road to conquest was perilous, yet he was willing to tread it for his family's legacy.

The sun dipped, casting a warm glow as Valerius embraced his role as heir to the Veleri legacy.

His journey was just beginning, a path filled with challenges that would shape the fate of nations.

Valerius looked toward the future with trepidation and determination, ready to face the trials ahead.

'Love,' he thought, 'will guide me through the trials and tribulations of conquest.'

Kanno Veleri's Study

Valerius sat in his father's study bathing in the soft glow of candlelight as he poured over the maps and documents that covered his own tiny desk (which his father let him set up to humor him). His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each focused on a different city in Essos and the challenges it presented. With a determined look in his eyes, he began to delve deeper into the strategies needed to overcome resistance and secure his conquest.

Lorath had always been known for its isolationist tendencies and its adherence to ancient traditions. Valerius understood that gaining the trust of the Lorathi people would require more than just diplomacy; it demanded a personal connection. He envisioned a strategic alliance that respected their unique customs while also showcasing the benefits of unity under his rule.

As his gaze shifted to Norvos, Valerius contemplated the city's warrior culture and the strong influence of the Bearded Priests. He knew that appealing to their sense of honor and loyalty could be a key to his success. He envisioned a strategy that involved showcasing the benefits of joining his cause, from increased prosperity to shared military strength.

Volantis, a city divided by competing factions, presented a different challenge. Valerius recognized the need to exploit these divisions, to play the factions against each other and create opportunities for him to exert control. He envisioned alliances with influential figures within each faction, leveraging their ambitions to align with his own.

The city of Qohor was known for its mastery of forging Valyrian steel, a resource that could be a game-changer in his conquest. Valerius considered the potential of gaining control over Qohor's production, whether through diplomatic means or by force. He pondered the intricacies of dealing with the city's leadership, recognizing the need to navigate their pride and skill.

As his thoughts turned to Volantis, Valerius knew that the city's history was intertwined with that of Valyria and its Dragonlords. He contemplated the potential of uncovering lost secrets, forging connections with influential families, and using their nostalgia for their former glory to his advantage. He envisioned a city brought to his side through a combination of strategic alliances and charismatic leadership.

With each city he considered, Valerius found himself diving deeper into the complexities of politics, diplomacy, and power dynamics. He understood that his conquest was not just about military might; it was about the art of persuasion, the ability to outmaneuver his opponents, and the strength to overcome resistance.

As the hours passed, Valerius continued to strategize, his mind a battlefield of ideas and possibilities. He knew that every decision he made would shape the course of his conquest, and he was determined to make every move count. The challenges were formidable, but so was his resolve.

With a final glance at the maps before him, Valerius leaned back in his chair, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. He could see the path ahead, the intricate dance of alliances and negotiations that would lead him to his ultimate goal. The road would be fraught with obstacles, but he was prepared to face them with unwavering determination.

And so, surrounded by the quiet of his father's study and the weight of his ambitions, Valerius Veleri continued to strategize, to plan, and to forge the path that would pave the way for his conquest of Essos.

Valerius's Room-Valerius 5 years old

From a young age, I knew that my mother, Alysara Veleri, had a unique way of showing her love and concern. She was a woman of elegance and wisdom, but when it came to my insatiable thirst for knowledge and knack for clever remarks, she had her own method of keeping me grounded.

One sunny morning, as I sat in our opulent study room surrounded by books, scrolls, and maps, I found myself lost in thought. My mother entered the room, her presence commanding attention as always. She gave me a gentle smile, a glint of mischief in her amethyst eyes.

"Valerius," she said with a melodious tone, "I've heard rumors that you've been showing off your intelligence a bit too much lately."

I blinked, my curiosity piqued by her words. "Rumors? Mother, who would dare spread such stories about me?"

Alysara's lips curled into an amused smile as she crossed her arms. "Oh, my dear, you underestimate the reach of our household staff. Your witty remarks have caught the attention of more than a few ears."

I chuckled, a mixture of pride and embarrassment filling me. "Well, it's not my fault that knowledge flows through my veins like blood."

Her amusement turned into a playful glint, and she raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? Perhaps it's time for a lesson in humility, then."

Before I could react, she extended her hand and gave my head a smack. It was soft enough not to hurt, but firm enough to convey her point. I couldn't help but laugh, both surprised and amused by her gesture.

"Mother!" I protested, rubbing the top of my head. "What was that for?"

Her eyes danced with mischief as she shrugged innocently. "Just a reminder, dear Valerius, that humility is a virtue we should all embrace."

I couldn't suppress my laughter any longer, and my mother joined in, her laughter ringing melodiously through the room. As our laughter subsided, I met her gaze, my affection for her deepening even further.

"Thank you, Mother," I said sincerely, "for keeping me grounded, even if it involves a playful smack on the head."

Alysara smiled warmly, her love for me evident in her eyes. "You're welcome, my dear. Just remember, your intelligence is a gift, but humility is what truly sets great minds apart."

We shared a quiet moment, a bond of understanding and affection passing between us. In that moment, I realized that my mother's playful gestures and lessons in humility were a testament to her wisdom and the depths of her love. And though cushions and smacks were her tools, the true lesson she taught me was invaluable—to cherish my intelligence while remaining humble and kind.
