I continue staring at the wall for a few minutes while Cranial waits patiently. I turn around, with forced cheer. "Well then let's get to work." I move to set my laptop on the table, before asking Cranial about materials.

"Are you gonna be okay?" They ask.

"Yeah, I think I will be. I'm gonna need parts for my tech, but that's for later." I'm exhausted and say as much. "Is there a place I can sleep here?"

They nod. "Yeah, follow me."

And follow them I do, after a couple minutes of following they open a door and show me a simple bedroom. "Thanks Jamie," I say. With a thought, I use my math magic to change into my sleep wear and just lay down on the bed. Jamie stares at me for a few seconds before closing the door, and soon after they leave I fall asleep.

I wake up slowly, for a moment frightened because I'm in an unfamiliar place. Then I remember what happened yesterday. Getting out of bed, I cast the cleaning spell and swap my clothes to a tight black shirt, black skirt, and a crop top hoodie.

Leaving the room, I make my way back to the lab I was given. Upon my arrival I see someone who isn't Jamie waiting for me. And I'm gonna be honest, she's kinda hot. "Uhm, who're you?" I ask the woman before me.

"I'm Glace, but you can call me Cassy. I'm here to take you to the dining room, Bobbie made breakfast." The now named Cassy says. Her face is angular with blue-gray eyes. Her hair is to her neck and streaked with light blue dye. She leaves the lab and I follow along. "Jamie told us a bit about what happened, so if you want to talk, all of us are here. Jamie is also a registered therapist, so they're here if you need that."

I mumble out a thank you, and otherwise remain silent. I continue to process the events of yesterday, more specifically, my mother ignoring my wishes and my leaving with Toybox. After a little while of walking in mostly silence, we arrive at the dining room. Taking a look at the people gathered around the table I see Jamie and move to sit next to them. "Thanks, for helping me get out of there when I needed it."

"Of course, even if you are technically a trial member, you are still part of Toybox. And we always take care of our own," they say, with a bit of sadness in their voice. "Bobbie, or Big Rig if you prefer, will move the requested materials to your lab after breakfast finishes."

Then an absolutely huge man, who I can only guess is close to seven feet tall, brings out a plate of scrambled eggs and sausages out of what I can assume is the kitchen and sets the plate in front of me. "I figured you would be hungry after you slept so long without dinner, little lady." he says, my face lighting up with euphoria after hearing that last bit. He smiles, continuing "I'm sure you've already guessed, but I'm Bobbie in civvies, otherwise it's Big Rig."

I start eating while everyone who's here makes small talk about their current projects, before Cassy asks me, "So, Willow, do you know your specialty?"

"I have a guess, but I would need to check with the ideas I have in my head." I respond with a bit of a smile. "I can make what's basically math based spells, and yes I know I sound a bit crazy when I say that. But I feel I can do more than that."

"Well after you finish eating we can get you started on that," Bobbie says to me with a grin. I get the feeling that he's a cheerful type of person, always trying to get people to smile.

I quickly finish eating and stand up, saying, "Lead the way."

As it turns out, he just takes me back to my lab before saying he would get the stuff. So while I wait, I begin setting up my desktop but in the middle of getting everything plugged in I get an idea of how to make it better. The idea starts to take hold of me and before I know it I'm disassembling my computer and making something entirely new. I'm so lost in my tinkering that I don't notice Bobbie come and go a few times with the supplies I need. I grab better tools and use my math spells to manifest the tools I would need that I don't have. I start grabbing parts from the boxes and modifying them with my magic, fully altering the functions of the parts I'm grabbing before slotting them into my not computer.

After what feels like an hour of back and forth on grabbing parts, modifying them, and slotting them in, I finish up. My computer looks nothing like a computer, but it doesn't look like a mess.I hear a cough from behind me, both Bobbie and Jamie are standing in the room. Bobbie is holding a plate of grilled cheese sandwiches and I only then notice how hungry I am. Standing up I ask, "Are those for me? Also how long has it been?"

Bobbie just hands me the sandwiches, saying "It's been about five hours since you started tinkering with your computer."

I start devouring the food on the plate, after swallowing I say, "I don't think it technically counts as a personal computer anymore." I walk over to the box and place my hand on it, "Begin activation sequence." Confirmed. After the box responds it starts to glow. Every second it gets brighter to the point where after maybe ten seconds I have to look away. After a total of 30 seconds the glow stops, and looking I see a girl instead of the box. She has rainbow hair, as well as rainbow irises. Her face is soft and round, and she's about six inches taller than me. As I look over her clothes I see a theme. Rainbow shirt, skirt, and thigh high socks.

"Hello, I am Iris," she says.

I look back at Bobbie and Jamie. "Fuck."

"Yeah, that about covers it," Jamie says. With a sigh, they continue. "Don't worry about it too much, most people won't even know. Plus, we're not gonna tell anyone. But in light of this, do you have a cape name picked out?"

I take a few minutes to think about it. I've done so much in such a short amount of time. I've made so many changes to my life, I've effectively abandoned my old life. So, "Genesis, for transformations and new beginnings."
