Disclaimer: I don't own Mario.

"Well, that's a-that!" Mario grinned broadly. "I'd say this calls for a-toast!"

"A-toast?" Luigi raised an eyebrow as he looked at the buffet table. "I see no a-toast here, Mario! There's-a plenty of a-food to eat here, like a-oysters and a-caviar, but no a-toast!"

"No, not that kind of toast, Luigi!" Peach giggled. "Mario means a toast with our drinks to mark the movie being complete!"

"Ohhhh…" Luigi made a dumbfounded sound over his mistake before smiling sheepishly. "I a-knew that!"

Mario shook his head as he began to fill three glasses with champagne, adding little mushrooms to them like slices of lemon. He, his brother and the princess were attending the wrap party being thrown at Mushroom Palace to celebrate the movie they had been working on being completed at last. All the hard work everyone had put into the film had made it a finished product that was ready to go to the theatres.

It had been a lot of effort for everybody involved in making the film, particularly for Mario, who'd had the big responsibility of playing the lead role. Acting was harder than it looked - especially having to preform opposite Bowser, who'd played the film's main antagonist. It wasn't easy for the Italian Plumber to work alongside his arch nemesis.

A smile crossed Mario's moustached face. He was confident that all the work carried out everyone who had put the movie together would pay off. All around the world, countless people of all ages had eagerly been anticipating the film. He was sure his debut on the big screen was going to be an enormous success.

"Here's to the a-movie being a-big hit!" Mario declared as he raised his glass towards his co-stars. "Cheers!"

"To the movie!" Peach added brightly. "Cheers!"

Luigi grinned as he clinked his own glass against his older sibling's and the princess'. "A-here a-here!"

Mario raised his glass to his lips. He relished the sweet taste of sparkling, bubbly champagne filling his mouth. He was just enjoying his drink - when he noticed Bowser approaching them.

The smile disappeared from Mario's face as he gaze darkened. He wondered what Bowser wanted. He'd put up with his nemesis enough in all the scenes he'd preformed with him.

"Well, that's the movie complete!" Bowser stood before the three, sending the grin on his face towards the only one he liked. "I'm sure it was an honour for you, Peach, to work alongside an actor as good looking and talented as me!"

"Erm, yes, Bowser!" Peach murmured, deciding to humour the Koopa King. "It sure was something to preform alongside you!"

"I'll bet it was!" Bowser booked arrogantly. "I smell plenty of Oscars with my name on them! I can see me taking home the Best Music Award for my song!"

Mario and Luigi silently exchanged irked looks. They still couldn't believe Bowser had managed to convince the producers to let him preform his musical number which he had written all about Peach. Their efforts to convince the director to leave it on the cutting room floor had fallen on death ears.

"I sure hope you haven't had much to drink!" Bowser remarked, observing the brothers' champagne glasses. "You boys are gonna be very busy now that the movie's complete!"

"Huh?" Mario frowned at his enemy-turned-fellow-actor's confusing words. "What-a you mean, Bowser? We have a-nothing to do now that we're done a-making the movie!"

"Great!" Bowser sneered. "That means we can all get back to doing what we always do together!"

"Wait!" Luigi cried. "You a-mean-"

"That's right!"

At that moment, Bowser suddenly scooped Peach up in his enormous arms. The princess squealed as the King Koopa gripped her firmly in his clutches. He began to hurriedly head away from Mario and Luigi, who could only watch him kidnapping their blonde co-star, too stunned to do anything to stop her captor.

"Marioooooooooooooooo!" Peach wailed, attracting the attention of all the guests in the party, shocking each and every one of them as they witnessed Bowser take her away from the castle to disappear out of sight.

"Bowser's kidnapped the princess!" Toad exclaimed, averting his staggered gaze towards Mario and Luigi. "What are you waiting for, guys?! Go after them and save her like you always do!"

"Ai-ai-ai!" Luigi groaned. "I can-no believe Bowser kidnapped Peach straight after we a-finished the movie! You'd think she'd be able to save herself after her a-performance!"

"She's was a-only acting! She's the same damsel in distress we've always had to rescue!" Mario sighed. "Come on, Luigi! Let's-a go!"

Resigned to leave the pleasantries of the wrap party, the two brothers left their champagne at the buffet table and quickly hurried out of the palace. They left the castle behind as they raced through the colourful landscape of Mushroom Kingdom. Off they were setting on another adventure to Bowser's Palace to rescue Princess Peach - with no time to rest after the exhausting job of making a blockbuster movie.

"Mamma Mia!" Mario huffed. "Back to a-business as usual!"
