Shadamy One-Shot
After all these years, Shadow was back. And he was back for revenge. His home was destroyed. The Ark was gone and Maria was lost. He lost everything. His family, his friends, his loved ones, and most importantly… the chaos emerald. HIs life was over. He couldn't save everybody. There are too many perfect beings in this world he failed at saving. What was he supposed to do? Nothing. He could not do anything. In this dark moment now, he was ultimately powerless. One person was trapped in his mind. A girl. She was pink. She had amazing green eyes that Shadow could not stop thinking about. Her smile was soft and warm. It reminded him of maria. Oh, how wonderful Maria was. His mind and heart is so attached that it pains him that she is gone now. But one thing he couldn't understand was how similar Amy and Maria were. They were… dangerously similar. He would even say, Amy must be a reincarnation of Maria.
"Maria, I miss you dearly. Why did you have to leave me behind? Why leave me in this damn of a hell hole? I want to go with you. I want to go where you are. I wonder if heaven is as peaceful as you told me. White clouds, bright, sunny, and beautiful. Tell me… what did you do to deserve your demise?" He looked down at the edge of a cliff. He saw a pink flower and plucked it. The petals were shining from the dazzling moonlight. Oh, how beautiful the stars looked in the dark sky. "I hope it's peaceful up there."
Footsteps approached him. "I bet it is. Maybe it is better up there than in this hell hole you hate so much." He turned around to see her. The one who clouded his thoughts. "Rose…" She smiles warmly. Her jade eyes glistened in the moonlight. They reminded him of his chaos emerald. Her smile was the same as her's. "Maria." "Rose, what are you doing here?" She hugged her knees and smiled at the stars. Their shine reflected on her eyes. "I wanted to see the stars with you. My mother once said that whenever you feel sad, just look at the stars. I will be smiling down at you." Amy looked down at the grass. Her smile was weak but her stare was strong. It was almost like she was thinking of something.
"She once said the same thing." She looked at him. Her eyes never leaving his. He was looking at the stars, like in a trance. "Was it… Maria?" Shadow sighed and looked down at the ground. "She reminds me of you. You two are so similar. You eyes, your hair, your smile, everything. Your personality…" She leaned close to him. Her lips almost touched his. Her eyes dazzled, making him lose his breath. Her voice was soft and raspy, but it sounded gentle. "Then look at my face whenever your hurt. I may not actually be her, but as long as you see her in me, then don't ever look away." Shadow stared at her, before closing the space between them. Her lips connected with his, almost like a perfect puzzle piece.
As they broke apart, the stars shined brighter. The light from the moon radiated off the grass. The night sky was more brighter than ever. "Shadow…" "Rose… don't leave me like she did. I need her. I need you." She smiles softly as she leaned closer again. The night sky was beautiful. "Amy… Thank you."
