Chapter 1

Our story begins in the town of Bayville, where the X-Men were currently having a relaxing morning after an exhausting battle.

"Man, it just seems like there's no end to these mutants who want to do bad things." Kitty said.

"Tell us about it." said Tabitha.

"Another excellent job, X-Men." Professor Xavier said as he came into the living room.

"Thanks, Professor." Cyclops said as the X-Men went to change out of their outfits, only for Xavier to speak up.

"What's that sound?" he asked. Everyone else listened and heard what sounded like chattering. They looked outside and saw several children and teens outside the gate to the Institute.

"What's all that about?" asked Rogue.

"I'll go see." Storm said before she went outside and the crowd fell silent. She walked up to the gate and asked, "Can I help you all?"

"You're Storm! You're so cool!" said a young girl.

Storm smiled, "I appreciate the compliment. So, what are all of you doing here?" she asked.

"We're your biggest fans! We came to see if the X-Men could pose for pictures and sign autographs." said a girl wearing a wig that looked like Rogue's hair.

Storm looked surprised, "But, how do you know about us?" she asked.

"We've all seen you in action. We didn't know where to find you to ask, so we followed you back here when we saw you flying." said a boy.

"So, you know about us, yet you don't fear us?" Storm asked.

"Of course not!" said a kid who looked like Nightcrawler.

"We're the X-Men Fan Club! Why would we be scared?" said a girl.

"Yeah, it doesn't matter if you're mutants! You're heroes, you're cool, and that's good enough for us!" said a kid.

Storm smiled widely, "Well, since you kids made all this effort, wait here and I'll be right back." she said before she headed back inside.

"What's up, Auntie O?" asked Evan.

"The kids out there are all our fans. They want us to pose for pictures and sign autographs." Storm said, surprising everyone, including Wolverine.

"Really?!" asked Kitty.

Storm nodded.

"Well, I think this would be a very positive way to reach out to the public, especially children, and show them mutants aren't something to fear. Go ahead and entertain them, X-Men." Xavier said.

In a few minutes, all of the X-Men came outside, which drew cheers from the crowd.

"X-Men! X-Men! X-Men! X-Men!" they chanted, drawing smiles from everyone.

"So, will you guys sign autographs and take pictures?" asked a girl.

"We'll do better than that, sugar. We'll all spend a day with you!" Rogue said, to which the crowd cheered loudly.
