Chapter 2
Nyota and Spock returned to their home, where Spock carried her over the threshold. Sahr'ek was at the embassy with the nanny. They had four days of privacy ahead. Spock carried Nyota straight to the cavern he had constructed beneath the house. After three hours of lovemaking, Spock was asleep. Nyota looked around the room. Her bag was upstairs. She had dropped it on the sofa when Spock carried her in.
She walked over to her wedding gown. It was in tatters on the floor. She went to the bathroom and showered, washing Spock's sen'ai from her hair. He had used her mane to clean his lok. Her hair sprang back to its natural curls. Then she wrapped her towel around her body and went upstairs.
As she exited the stairs, the door began to swing shut. Nyota had no access code, so she placed her towel in the door to prop it open. She ran into the living room and grabbed her bag. Nyota wanted to read the message from Charlotte. She opened the communicator. There was one word in the message,
"Ears."
Nyota munched on an apple. Then she grabbed grapes, cheese, more apples, the bottle of green liquid and some glasses. She placed it all in a bowl and headed back toward the door.
"You seek another, Nyota?" a voice said.
Nyota turned to see Sarek standing there.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"You accepted my ring," he said.
"I accepted your ring for my son." She corrected him. "Spock said I can decline your advances." She rolled her eyes. Nyota never heard of a culture where the wife slept with the father and the son.
"You left your marriage chamber. You see another?" Sarek asked again. His sclera was dark green, even in the dim light of the chiller. Sarek was not well.
"I am just hungry, and I thought Spock would be hungry too," she replied. Suddenly, she felt cold and realized that she was naked. The damp hair dripped water down her back.
"You are quite lovely," Sarek said. He reached forward and took the bowl from her hands.
"Spock will eat later if you still desire him when I am done," Sarek said.
Nyota bit her lip as Sarek lifted her onto the counter and pulled a nipple into his mouth.
"No," she whined, pushing him away.
"I desire thee," he replied. Placing his hand on her face,
"No, please stop!". Nyota was losing control as Sarek barged past the block Spock had placed in her mind. He sucked her nipple, and his fingers snaked inside of her. Nyota felt as though her blood was beginning to boil. She had only felt that way before. Nyota had to break free before it was too late.
Nyota's communicator fell to the floor. She looked down and saw the screen.
"EARS"
Nyota took a deep breath and slapped Sarek's ears. He reached up and held her hands over her head with one hand and used the other to place his lok at her keshan'tur.
Nyota was frantic. She began to scream. Sarek released her hands and covered her mouth.
He pulled his wet fingers out and grabbed his lok with his free hand. He leaned forward, and Nyota lifted her head and clamped down on his ear with her teeth. Sarek shrieked and knocked her off the counter. Nyota crawled across the floor. She picked up the communicator and the bowl and ran to the door. She grabbed the towel, and the door slammed shut.
Nyota went downstairs. She was shaking as she sat the bowl down. Spock said that it was normal for the father to make advances, but Sarek would not take no for an answer. She feared he was in Pon Farr.
"Spock, wake up!" Nyota shook her mate, but he would not stir.
Nyota could hear Sarek pacing around upstairs. "Computer lights!" she called out.
The lights came up, and Nyota rushed around, looking for anything to use as a weapon. She reached into Spock's pocket. There was a small phaser.
She wrapped the towel around her body. Then she tucked the phaser between her breasts. Sarek began to beat the door. Nyota was frantic.
"Spock, she screamed. He would not stir.
Nyota looked down at her husband. She leaned down and bit his ear, just as she had with Sarek. He began to stir, but he did not shriek. Nyota shook him. Spock sat up.
"Nyota, what is happening?" he asked.
Nyota stood in front of Spock.
"Usurper," Sarek growled. His fists were bloodied from breaking the door.
"Stay back. I will kill fire!" Nyota said.
Spock stumbled to his feet. Nyota turned to see that his Sclera were also green.
"Blood fever," she whispered. Amanda had been taken after Sarek restored her as his mate.
Nyota adjusted the phaser and fired. The lamp on the table disappeared.
She turned the setting and fired again as Sarek moved forward. The table fell over.
Satisfied that the phaser was on stun, she aimed for Sarek's foot and fired. He yelped and fell backward. Nyota grabbed the green bottle and poured some of the liquid down Sarek's throat. She turned to Spock and made him drink as well.
They both collapsed. Nyota pulled chains from the hooks on the wall. Then she tied up Sarek. She looked down and shook her head. Nyota went back upstairs to the kitchen and looked in the toolbox left over from the construction. She returned from the kitchen with slastic and duct tape. She wrapped Sarek in the slastic and wrapped the entire roll of tape around his body up to his chest. Then she covered his mouth for good measure.
Nyota went back upstairs. The door was broken. She crawled through and put on some clothes. She grabbed some for Spock, too. Then she located her own phaser, just in case. She didn't want to kill the Vulcans, she just wanted to stun them.
Nyota picked up her phone and read the message, "EARS"
Then she replied.
"You're damn right, thanks!" she typed and sent the message.
Nyota could not move Spock. He was too heavy. She sat here in the crook of his arm, watching until Sarek's enormous swollen lok deflated. She walked over and peeled up the double eyelids. His sclera was fading. He was still alive, but his foot was bleeding. Nyota found a first aid kit and heeled the burn.
Then she leaned against Spock and drifted off to sleep.
