Meg bolted up right in bed heart pounding, this city it brought back bad memories along with regular demigod nightmares it was a wonder she could sleep at all. She disentangled herself from the blankets and went to get a drink of water.
She was unsurprised and a little worried that Apollo hadn't woke from her screaming. The infection had grown worst since the tomb and it worried her. The infection was spreading and she tried so hard to push the words Tarquin had said out of her head but failed, "Apollo is my servant now Meg McCaffery."
'Apollo faces death in Tarquin's tomb,' that was what the prophecy said. A fate worse than death more likely. He was dying, becoming one of Tarquin's servants. The thought sent shivers down my spine; the thought of having to fight him, to hurt him was too much.
I grabbed one of the small paper cups and let the water flow into it, once the water had reached the top of the cup I turned the faucet off and drank, I crushed the now empty cup wishing I could crush Tarquin the same way before I tossed it in the trash and I went back to the bedroom. I went over to Apollo's side of the room and watched him for a moment before pulling the kicked off blankets up and tucked him in. I watched as he shifted into a more comfortable position before I went back to my bed and untangled the blankets before I climbed into it. Whatever tomorrow brought I would face it alongside my brother.
A/N: I think this turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. I think I captured Megs character alright, if I didn't well I think it's a cute drabble none the less. Please read and Review.
