Luna sat on her bed inside her dorm room as she picked up her phone and started dialing on the screen. After she was able to pass the provisional licensing exam as a first-year student, she's now aiming to participate in a hero work-study program where she'll get the chance to serve under an actual pro at their agency. But instead of calling Gran Torino, Luna decided to call her mother to see if she'll take her in.

"Hello?" Tarot Chariot spoke.

"Hey, mom, it's me." Luna said. "I was wondering. Are you taking anyone for the work study program by any chance?"

"Sorry, sweetheart. I'm working on teacher stuff, so I won't be able to so this year." Tarot Chariot apologized. "I know you'll do whatever it takes to be the top hero. You should have a chat with your father about the work studies."

"But Mr. Aizawa told us to use our connections from the Sports Festival." Luna said. "Plus, I called Gran Torino for the work study, but he told me that he's working with the police for now."

"Well, your father can open all sorts of doors for you. I know it's been a while, but you should pay a visit to Sir Nighteye." Tarot Chariot said.

Luna's eyes widened.

After arriving at an abandoned factory warehouse, Carina held out an octahedral device in her hand and twisted the device in 180° position. The device glowed bright yellow and began to float towards the front windscreen, causing it to open up a projecting screen to view the conservation directly from the League of Villains' hideout.

Carina and the Shatrix quietly observed Twice walking inside the warehouse towards his comrades with a narrow-looking pale man behind him. He has short, shaggy auburn hair that was parted to the left, small thin-looking eyes with gold-colored irises, and three beaded lobe piercings in his left ear. He wore a dark olive-green bomber jacket that is lined with thick purple fur on its collar over a black dress shirt with a pale gray tie around his neck, matching black dress pants with a belt with a long, thin buckle around his waist, and white lace-up sneakers with tan-colored soles. He also has white surgical gloves on his hands and a magenta plague mask over his mouth that is tipped and embroidered with gold.

Rhina undetectably took out a navy-blue compact mirror in her hand and began scanning the newcomer. The reflective mirror showed an image of the newcomer on the left and his background information on the right. According to her compact mirror, the newcomer's name is Kai Chisaki. He is part of a secretive organization called the Shie Hassaikai and he possesses a contact-type Quirk called Overhaul, which also happens to be his villain name. Rhina looked up back at Overhaul, so she can witness the reason of his arrival.

As Overhaul came face-to-face with the League of Villains, he looked around the villains' qualities in repulsion.

"Well now, you brought us a pretty big catch, huh, Twice?" Tomura said.

"You think so? Strange coming from you, the League of Villains." Overhaul said with an unimpressed tone.

"What gives? Is this guy's famous or something?" Magne wondered.

"My master showed me a picture of him. He's what you'd call Yakuza. He's the young head of the Shie Hassaikai." Tomura responded. "So, what do we own the pleasure?"

This guy's kinda eerie compared to Tomura and he's already giving me the creeps. Celena thought with a shudder.

"He's number two of the gang? Oh, I've never met anyone like him before. He smells so dangerous. How exciting." Magne gushed.

"What's the deal?" Toga asked as she looked up at Compress. "We're all criminals here. So how is this guy different?"

"Oh, allow me to tell you a story." Compass explained. "In the past, there were many different scary troops that ran the underworld. After heroes started thriving though, they slowly but surely began to disband. When All Might took the stage, their era was over. The Yakuza survivors who weren't caught became rental thugs for villain groups. In other words, they were the lowest form of criminal, barely scraping by to make a living. Frankly they're obsolete. An endangered species."

"An endangered species, huh?" Overhaul said. "I guess that's true."

"Yeah, what's a Yakuza thug from the slums doing here?" Magne asked. "Shouldn't you be out celebrating All Might's retirement?"

"It's good that he's gone, sure. But I'm more interested in All For One's absence." Overhaul replied.

Hearing his master's name started to alarm Tomura.

"The dark emperor who ruled over the shadows. The old timer always feared him, even after the rumors of his death. Honestly though, most people my age thought he was an urban legend." Overhaul continued. "You can imagine the shock when he showed up in the flesh. But in the end, the big bad was thrown into Tartarus and the Symbol of Peace retired, which means those of us in the shadows and those in the light are both leaderless. So, who will step up to take their places?"

"You know who my master is, but you still got the nerve to ask that? Sounds like a challenge." Tomura answered as he was beginning to feel insulted by Overhaul's question. "I'm the next leader. Even now, I'm gathering my troops. Our numbers continue to increase. With our combined power, I'll turn hero's society to dust."

"Do you have an actual plan?" Overhaul questioned.

"Watch your tongue and your tone." Tomura snapped. "I thought you came here to join up with us."

"A goal without a plan is just a wish. If that's what you're offering, why should I join you? What happens after you increase your forces?" Overhaul argued. "Do you have any idea how you'd even organize your league? You had the Hero Killer Stain at your side. Muscular, Moonfish, all first-class game pieces and you lost them. Maybe you just didn't know how to play the game. You can't even manage a few crazy people, but you want to build an army. What happens when that power spirals out of control? You need direction to achieve your goals. I have a plan. I didn't come here today because I wanted to join you."

"You brought this idiot here without knowing his intentions, Twice." Tomura growled, turning his narrowing glare at Twice.

"In order to execute my design, I need money. Unfortunately, there aren't many people looking to invest in some obsolete small-time Yakuza." Overhaul continued. "Now, your group on the other hand has widespread name recognition. Put yourself under me. Make me your new lead and I'll show you exactly how to use the right tools."

"Leave." Tomura demanded.

"Sorry about that, small fry. But we didn't band together to serve under somebody's boot." Magne said furiously as she unsheathed her metal pole in her hands.

Magne used her magnetism Quirk to attract Overhaul's head toward her direction.

"The other day, I met with an old friend." Magne explained as she carried her weapon over her shoulder. "She's a gentle soul, but she supports me, even knowing about my past. You know what she said? Those who're bound to the chains of the society laughs at those who aren't!"

Magne paid no attention when Overhaul slowly took off his glove from his left hand.

"I'm here because I don't want to be bound by anything!" Magne declared. "We're free to decide for yourselves exactly where we belong!"

Just as Magne was about to strike Overhaul on the head with her magnetic pole weapon, Overhaul quickly swiped Magne's arm with his index finger. Few rapid bumps unexpectedly manifested under Magne's skin and started bubbling up on her upper torso to her face.

In a flash, Magne exploded abruptly into a pool of blood, killing her in an unexpected second.

Tomura, Himiko, Twice, and Mr. Compress stared in wide-ranging shock at what Overhaul has done to Magne.

Even Estrella, Solaria, Celena, and Rhina looked collectively stunned at Overhaul's Quirk demonstration.

"No. Big Sis Mag!" Toga gasped in shock.

"Just remember. You made the first move." Overhaul said. He started rubbing the blood off his arm. "And now I'm filthy. That's why I hate the aftermath."

Mr. Compress leaped off the ledge and began flying towards Overhaul.

"Compress, wait!" Tomura shouted.

"No, I have to seal this guy away!" Compass yelled as he reached out his arm to activate his Quirk.

But Mr. Compass felt a small string struck in the shoulder by a mysterious bullet.

"Why isn't my Quirk working?" Mr. Compass said in shock.

Overhaul was beginning to feel enraged when Compress was about to touch him.

"Don't touch me!" Overhaul shouted with an angry germophobic face.

Overhaul touched Compass's left arm in retaliation. In quick seconds, Compass's arm exploded into a burst of blood.

Tomura then rushed Overhaul head-on furiously, but another mysterious bullet missed Tomura by a quick second, which made Overhaul notice with wide eyes.

"Shield!" Overhaul hollered.

Suddenly, a Yakuza subordinate appeared right in front of Overhaul. Tomura touched the Yakuza subordinate instead, which caused him to take the full brunt of Tomura's Quirk as he was disintegrated entirely into dust.

As Tomura sprang away and landed next to Twice, more Yakuza subordinates came busting through the wall to back Overhaul up that immediately ended the battle in a stalemate.

"That was a close one, Overhaul." The hidden Yakuza subordinate called as he jumped down from the metal rails above.

"You're late." Overhaul pointed out.

"And I missed a shot, but at least we know they work." A Yakuza subordinate stated.

"Where'd they come from? We weren't followed! I swear!" Twice cried to Tomura as he was holding onto an unconscious Compass.

"One of them probably has a tracking Quirk." Tomura said.

Rhina closed her compact mirror after finished recording Overhaul's Quirk strike with Magne and Mr. Compass.

"Fascinating. It was as if he can disassemble anything he touched with his bare hand." Rhina summarized as she gazed at Overhaul with slight surprise.

"Hard to be the objective in this situation. Besides killing each other isn't productive. A death on both sides." Overhaul said as he began rubbing his arm again and started to head out towards the opening hole on the wall. "Let's take a breather. We'll cool our heads and try again later. I owe you a side and arm."

Himiko and Twice are enraged at Overhaul for his murderous actions with Magne and Compass.

"Bastard! I'll freaking kill you!" Twice shouted.

"Let me cut him real quick." Toga said, holding her butterfly knife dangerously in her hand.

Tomura understood his comrades' anger, but he doesn't want anything to get even worse for them.

"No." Tomura said.

"It's my responsibility!" Twice yelled.

"Smart decision, face-off guy." A small Yakuza member spoke.

"I don't want to rush you, but sooner we talk better." Overhaul said, walking his way towards the exit doors. "Think over carefully consider how your organization should be running."

Overhaul took out his Shie Hassaikai business card and tossed it to glide at Tomura's shoes.

"Then you've calmed down, call me." Overhaul said to Tomura.

With that, Overhaul and his crew took their leave.

"They gotta pay for this! Why can't I go after him?" Twice said heatedly.

"Maybe we do have time to make them bleed." Toga snarled, looking down at her butterfly knife with narrow eyes.

"No." Tomura said.

"Come on, Tomura." Toga pleaded.

"Another time." Tomura said.

Tomura have considered to take Overhaul's words on formulating a plan. Next time they meet, he'll claimed a lot of repayment for him.

"Shie Hassaikai. I'll pay for what you've done today." Tomura muttered dangerously.

"Thank you, Rhina." Carina spoke through Rhina's comm-link earrings. "I see where I wanted to see. Despite Overhaul's Quirk, let Shigaraki handle him on his own. We have new members to recruit and a family reunion to prepare."

The next day, all Class 1-A students were gathered inside their classroom in the morning. With Katsuki's house arrest coming to an end, Aizawa began to start the class with an important announcement in with his usual apathetic expression.

"The work studies are a more serious version of your internships. They entail helping pro agencies on the streets and with investigations." Aizawa explained. "Your teachers and the principal discussed them at the faculty meeting, and we all agree. It's too soon. They should really be canceled."

That earned an uproar of protests from the Class 1-A students.

"But we already met about them!" Kirishima complained.

"I guess when you think about why we had to move into the dorms, it does make sense." Kaminari said.

Katsuki placed his hands on his desk and stood up from his seats with a creepy laughing smile on his face, making Hagakure sweatdrop in annoyance from her seat.

"But some people think we won't be able to raise strong heroes with that sort of overprotective outlook." Aizawa added. "And with that in mind, the compromise is to be selective about participating agencies. So, choose one with a proven track record. Otherwise, you won't be taking part."

"Dammit!" Katsuki yelled irritably as he sat down to his seat.

Diana was giggling darkly under her breath at Katsuki's disappointment and then turned over to Luna.

"Hey, Luna, you're going back to work with your mom?" Diana asked with a smile.

"Actually, I called Gran Torino earlier today and since he couldn't take me in, I called my mom instead. But she said the same thing." Luna replied. "So, I'm going to take on my dad's former sidekick."

"Your dad's former sidekick?" Selene repeated with a confuse eyebrow.

"Yeah, his name is Sir Nighteye." Luna smiled.

"I've heard him." Aisha said. "He's a pro hero with the intellect ability to see the entirety of the target's future, second by second, for one hour. He's truly amazing."

"Yup, that's him." Luna said. "My dad haven't talked to him for a while, but I visited Sir Nighteye's agency sometimes on my day offs and occasional birthdays. Sir Nighteye can be strict, but he's a great teacher."

"Really?" Diana and Selene said in awe.

"So, what made them split apart?" Aisha asked.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out for sure." Luna replied determinedly.

In the staff room, Luna and Izuku walked inside to chat with All Might about Sir Nighteye.

"You two want me to introduce you both to Sir Nighteye for the work study program?" All Might questioned with wide eyes.

"Yes! Since he's one of the few heroes that have worked directly under you! It's a perfect fit!" Izuku responded eagerly.

"Chill, Midoriya. There's no reason to get hype." Luna said, covering Izuku's mouth quickly with one hand. She looked back at her father. "But yeah, what he said, dad."

"So, Sir Nighteye could have put that idea into your heads. No, of course. You wanted to be proactive, so you called Gran Torino." All Might said to Izuku. His eyes moved then darted to his daughter. "And you talked to your mother about this, didn't you?"

"Yup." Luna responded with a nod.

"Yes, sir." Izuku answered with a bow.

"Well, I refuse." All Might said.

Izuku and Luna's faces immediately dropped in complete bewilderment at All Might's denial response.

"I'm not saying that to punish you both though. I have three reasons." All Might said. He held up one finger to his successor and his daughter. "First up, I opposed work study in a faculty meeting yesterday. I think it's unnecessary for first years to start them so early."

Thirteen and Midnight listened All Might's words from their work desks.

"I agree." Thirteen concurred.

"I say we just support any hungry students who want to go the extra mile." Midnight added.

"Reason Two, you need to work on your shoot style and dazzling trinity." All Might added as he held up the second finger. "Let's master that before you two start doing extra hero work."

Ectoplasm and Cementoss were also listening to All Might's conservation with Izuku and Luna.

"They're putting a little training already." Ectoplasm said.

"But there's still plenty of room for improvement before they can use them reliably." Cementoss added.

"And third, Sir Nighteye. I just don't want to have to talk to the guy." All Might concluded as he held up the third finger.

"Personal feelings getting in the way!" Present Mic shouted unexpectedly.

All Might spun around to send Present Mic an annoy look on his face, making the loudmouthed pro hero dart away out of the conservation.

"All Might. Kacchan told me I'm not allowed to lose since someone like you laid the groundwork for me." Izuku said boldly. "And think about it, my Quirk is so similar to yours. If I'm working for Nighteye, he'll know exactly how to help me improve it."

"He's right, dad. Because I would rather lose and give up my dream of being a hero than letting opportunities like this slip by." Luna added. "We need to get so much stronger than we are now. We've got more work to do than anyone else."

All Might stared deeply at Izuku and Luna as he speculated that maybe they are impatient to suppress him. He doesn't think so, but it's only a matter of time.

"Look, I appreciate your passion, but I can't introduce you." All Might said. "Emphasis on I."

Izuku and Luna gazed at All Might, who gave him a smile as if he has an idea of who can show them about Sir Nighteye for their work-study program.

In the counseling room, Mirio, Luna, and Izuku sat on the sofa coach on the opposite side in front of All Might, who sat on the sofa coach with a cup of tea in his hands.

"Oh yeah! You. Are. Here!" Mirio beamed. "Sorry. Couldn't help myself. I just got super excited that you wanted to talk to me."

"I don't really understand what's going on right now." Izuku said.

"Yeah, me either." Luna agreed. "What's this all about anyway?"

"Right, I'm completely clueless too." Mirio said.

"You two have met young Togata, right?" All Might spoke firmly. "He's currently doing his work study at Nighteye agency."

Izuku and Luna let out a small gasp with surprising eyes.

"Whoa seriously?! That's so cool!" Izuku and Luna cried.

"Yep! I've been working alongside him for a full year now!" Mirio shouted with excitement.

"Incredible. That means you're like definitely guaranteed to be a sidekick when you graduate." Luna smiled.

"Well as long as Sir doesn't change his mind." Mirio remarked.

"That's awesome." Izuku beamed.

"Alright. I'm gonna get straight to the point here." All Might clarified. "Tell me, young Togata, do you think that these first years has what it takes to work beside you at the agency?"

"Oh, now I hear ya. That's what you called me in here to talk about." Mirio said, putting his arms around Luna and Izuku's shoulders. "You want me to take Midoriya and Luna to him for an introduction."

"Yeah." All Might said with a nod.

"But wait a minute. Why do you need to go through me?" Mirio asked in confusion. "I always seemed watching old video clips of you in his spare time. I'm sure he'd be real happy if you called him up yourself."

"I can't exactly face him right now." All Might replied. "Because it was dead, right? I ended up precisely where he warned me I'd be."

Izuku and Luna exchanged worried looks at each other. What does All Might mean about being precisely where Nighteye warned him he'll be? Maybe it has something to do with their dark separation in the past.

"So, do you think young Midoriya and Luna has what it takes?" All Might asked Mirio.

"Oh man, that's a tough." Mirio said. He looked at Izuku. "Why don't you tell me what kind of hero you want to be?"

"What kind? I want to save people with a smile." Izuku answered. "I want to be strong, so I won't worry people. I want to always win and save everybody. I want to become the greatest. Got it?"

"Wow, that was a lot." Mirio said. His eyes moved to Luna. "And what about you?"

"Same thing. I wanna be a hero who can save everyone and always put them first before myself." Luna responded. "I want to become a great hero that can face anything coming at me. And no matter how hard it is, I will always triumph in the end."

Luna and Izuku have been through some intense times since day one in U.A. High. The more they experienced the more they began to see how hard it is to be the kind of hero they want to be. And that's why they must become stronger to reach this goal.

"There's no reason for me to say no though. So yeah." Mirio smiled with a thumb-up.

"You mean it?! Thank you so much!" Izuku beamed happily.

"Sure. I always figured Sir will take a liking to you two anyway." Mirio said.

"I sure hope he does!" Izuku grinned.

"Don't get too excite." Mirio advised. "I don't know Sir will agree to take you both on."

As Izuku continued chatting with Mirio, Luna took notice that All Might was deep into thought in the sofa couch.

I know you and Nighteye don't get along, dad. Luna thought concernedly. But someday, you two will have to work this out, so you guys can move on.

As the weekend began, Luna speedily rushed out of her dorm room in her school uniform and sprinted out of the Heights Alliance. She enveloped herself in Divine Trinity aura and sprinted her way to Sir Nighteye's agency with an exciting smile in remarkable speed.

Katsuki, Aisha, and Shoto exited the Heights Alliance for their Provisional Hero License training.

"You should be thankful to the teachers." Shoto said. "You got caught fighting with Midoriya and Luna, but they're still going to let you retake the exam."

"Can't say I'm surprised the teachers even made this unquestionable decision." Aisha remarked.

"Will you two shut it?" Katsuki snarled irritatedly.

"We've got to catch up to our classmates." Shoto reminded.

"I told you to shut your damn face!" Katsuki snapped. "And you and your girlfriend walk behind me, idiot!"

Aisha rolled her eyes with a heavy sigh.

How annoying. Aisha thought in annoyance. Seriously, I don't know what Luna sees in this guy.

An hour later, Luna arrived right in front of the Nighteye Agency. Sir Nighteye Agency only took an hour away to get there from school, but Luna decided to take the fastest way thanks to the boosting speed of Dazzling Trinity.

"Hey Luna!"

Luna spun around to see Izuku and Mirio walking towards her.

"How did you get here fast?" Izuku asked. "I was looking everywhere for you back at the dorms."

"Let us just say I took a fastest way to get here." Luna replied. "Plus, I always know how to get to Sir Nighteye's agency anyway. I visited him sometimes on my day offs from school before we moved to the dorms."

"You know Sir?!" Mirio said with awestruck eyes. "I wish you would've told me."

"Might've slipped my mind." Luna said with a shrug.

"Well, this is it. Sir Nighteye's agency!" Mirio said to Izuku.

Izuku was staring at the luxurious building with wide eyes in awe.

"Easy, man! Take a breath!" Mirio said. "Try to loosen up. But not too loose, you know. Cuz Sir's actually a pretty strict guy."

"He's not lying." Luna remarked.

"I'm fully aware. He's a hero famous for being demanding on others as well as himself." Izuku said. "His gaze is so hoarse that it makes me shiver every time I see him on TV. He looks so severe."

"That's absolutely true, but there's a totally different side of him that the press never gets to see." Mirio said in a serious tone. "If you want to be acknowledged by him, here's a tip. You need to do one important thing at this meeting. You gotta make him laugh. Then he'll totally approve of you since Luna already been there."

"Wait, hold on. What does that even mean?" Izuku asked as he entered the entrance to the first floor with Mirio and Luna.

"Exactly what it sounds like. He seems stern, but he really values humor for some reason." Mirio advised with a smile. He climbed the long spiraling stairs as Izuku and Luna followed him from behind. "It's like irony or something, I think. The most I can do is introduce you to him. Sir's the one who will decide if can use you. I wish I could help more, but that's all I got. From here on, you will have to figure out how to make Sir acknowledge you yourself."

"I've been meaning to ask. Why is it you seem to know so much about us even though we basically just met?" Izuku asked curiously.

"What are you talking about? I don't know you guys at all." Mirio answered with a grin. "But I do know that you two got the same crazy ambitious goal and you're fighting to turn it into a reality. And that wanting to help out someone who's in trouble is basically heroing 101. Am I right?" He looked over to Luna. "I wanted to ask you something, Luna. I've never seen you around since I came here full time. So, how did you exactly know Sir anyway?"

"Oh, well, it's long story actually." Luna replied. "But all I know is that I'm looking forward to see Nighteye again."

Mirio, Izuku, and Luna finally arrived right in front of the door of Sir Nighteye's office.

"Here we are. He's just beyond this door. If you two want to get stronger, then walk on through." Mirio commended.

"Got it." Izuku said.

As soon as Izuku opened the door was open, his eyes widened in a mix of shock and disbelief when he caught Sir Nighteye's female sidekick being tied up in a tickling machine while Nighteye himself just stood watching her laughing hysterically.

"What kind of place is this?!" Izuku exclaimed with wide frantic eyes.

"This is how loud and energetic you can be." Mirio said.

"Uh, Mirio, what's going on?" Izuku asked fretfully.

"That's his sidekick, Bubble Girl." Mirio said.

"Looks like she didn't make him laugh before we got here." Luna said with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, sucks." Mirio stated.

Nighteye then turned his intense stare at Izuku and Luna. Izuku froze at the pro hero's intense stare and remembered that he must make the glaring Nighteye laugh to survive the possible harsh treatment that Bubble Girl is receiving. Luna wasn't fazed by Nighteye's glare and only sent a friendly wave at him, leaving Mirio looking at her with a mix of confusion and wary. Izuku knew that it wouldn't be an easy task, but he started to fix his face that will resemble exactly like All Might's face.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya." Izuku greeted.

Mirio and Luna stared at Izuku's face with panic faces. But Izuku's face only made Nighteye's intense glare harden deeply.

"What is this boy? Are you ridiculing All Might?" Nighteye asked threateningly.

Izuku flinched with fear all over his face in response. Mirio and Luna also cringed from Nighteye's words.

Oh no, he's so screwed. Luna thought.
