Izuku flinched with fear all over his face in response. Mirio and Luna also cringed from Nighteye's words.

"The nerve." Nighteye said with a sharp glare as he adjusted his glasses and turned to face Izuku. "What are you doing with your face? Is this a joke to you?"

"No. I guess not." Izuku replied anxiously.

"You attempted this blasphemous excuse of an impression on All Might's former sidekick." Nighteye replied curtly. He approached Izuku and started fixing the green-haired student's face. "All Might's wrinkles aren't like this at all, you fool. In his early days, his crow's feet were 0.6 centimeters long. From the Silver Age, they were 0.8. You see this error too, Luna?"

"Uh, yeah, I can see that." Luna replied as she glanced around the room and saw All Might related possessions around the office. He even had the 10th anniversary poster of my dad. He's one serious All Might fanboy just like Midoriya.

"These days even unlicensed merchandise manages to have the correct wrinkles in the correct era." Sir Nighteye continued. "But you don't even know that much. I don't care for this one bit. Luna can stay, but you can see yourself out."

With that, Nighteye walked away.

"The vinegar river incident. Are you not aware of it, Sir?" Izuku countered.

Nighteye halted himself and glanced back at Izuku.

"A middle schooler whose Quirk allowed him to change the properties of water was drowning in a river." Izuku explained. "But All Might stepped in and saved him. The drowning kept panicking and turn the river into vinegar which obviously ended up getting into All Might's eyes. His face looks slightly different from normal after. That smile. Those narrowed eyes. That's the look I chose to impersonate earlier."

"I know this rescue although it took place before I teamed up with him." Nighteye commented. "And I believe they mentioned it briefly on the widely run television special entitled 'A Look Back'."

"Yes, I love that show!" Izuku smiled. "I know there weren't any villains involved, so some people think of as a boring save. I'm sure the fans don't talk about it much, but I totally like it for some reason. Honestly, I think the best part thing was the winning response that he gave the kid he rescued."

"My skin feels ten years younger now." Nighteye added.

"That's it!" Izuku beamed. "It was the perfect one liner!"

"I see. You were just testing me." Nighteye said with a tense glare.

"What? Uh no! I just since All Might is a teacher at my school, I never really get a chance to speak out about him." Izuku said with a nervous smile. "I maybe got a little excited."

"As I recall, it turned out the child's volatile home life was to blame." Nighteye said as he walked up close to Izuku and fixed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"That's right." Izuku agreed. "That made All Might's actions and words carry even more weight I bet."

Mirio walked past Nighteye and took off the restraint cuffs from Bubble Girl to help her out of the tickling machine.

Luna couldn't help but smile as she watched the surprising fanboy chemistry between Nighteye and Izuku.

Then, Nighteye sat on his seat to his desk.

"Interesting." Nighteye said. "You two want to do a work study here because you think that doing so will make you both stronger."

"Yes sir. Please let us." Izuku replied urgently.

"We'd need to draw up a contract." Nighteye said.

"Of course. Yes, I brought one." Izuku said as he spun to search for his contract in his backpack.

"You will not interrupt me while I'm speaking to you." Nighteye stated strictly.

"Sorry, sir." Izuku apologized.

Izuku and Luna took out their own contracts as they placed them on Nighteye's desk.

"Now, Luna, I understand you are here because of your mother Tarot Chariot inform me about your interest in my agency." Nighteye said to Luna.

"Wait, Tarot Chariot is your mother?" Bubble Girl gasped.

"So, that means…you are…" Mirio gasped with wide eyes.

Luna stared at Mirio and Bubble Girl with an anxious look on her face.

"It's alright, Luna." Nighteye assured. "You can trust them on the secret."

Luna looked back at Bubble Girl and Mirio with a cool composure.

"It's true." Luna said. "I'm All Might and Tarot Chariot's daughter."

"Whoa! No way!" Bubble Girl exclaimed.

"You're so lucky, Luna!" Mirio grinned. "I always wondered how you know so much about Sir since we got here. And you're here to follow your parents' footsteps to work on Sir and became a great hero." He gave Luna a thumb-up. "You have a bright future ahead of you."

"So, I have decided to take you in." Nighteye continued. "I'm proud to have you working in this agency."

Nighteye took the stamp in his hand and raised it to stamp the contract, making Luna smile thankfully. Once she received the contract, Luna placed it back in her backpack.

"Welcome to my agency, Luna Yagi." Nighteye said firmly.

"Thank you, Nighteye." Luna said as she took a bow at the pro hero.

Nighteye then turned his attention to Izuku.

"Once I stamped this document, you'll officially be contracted with my agency for a work study." Nighteye said.

"Yes, sir!" Izuku said with a bow.

"You have to understand that this will be nothing like the week-long internships that you students take on so casually. You must work here for a minimum of four months and will be paid wages." Nighteye explained. "However, your academic responsibilities will likely suffer due to absences you'll rack up, which means your classmates will pull ahead of you."

"I understand that." Izuku said determinedly. "But if I worry about what everyone else is doing, I'll never be number one."

Nighteye raised the stamp in the air as he prepared to seal the contract, but he purposefully missed to land on the contract, causing Izuku and Luna to stare with stunned faces.

"Um, I think you missed." Izuku pointed out.

"Because I am not approving this." Nighteye said as he started stamping his desk continuously.

"What?" Izuku gasped in shock.

"I understand how working here would be beneficial to you. But what benefit would you bring to my agency?" Nighteye questioned. "This office currently runs smoothly with two sidekicks, one work-study student whose father is a legend, and one work-study student already under my employ. So why would I add you on? How can you contribute to society? How can you be useful to others? In order to be acknowledged, you must be able to answer those questions unequivocally. All Might show his worth using power and humor. He gave hope to those who lived in fear of criminals. That's why the people were happy to acknowledge him."

"You're right." Izuku gasped. "I need to find out how I can help the world."

"It's time to show me what you would bring to the table. Using actions not words." Nighteye said as he stood up out of his seat and moved from his desk. "Three minutes. You have three minutes to try and take this seal from me. If you want to work as a hero under my guidance, then stamp that contract yourself."

"Wait, what?" Izuku said slowly in shock.

"I'm saying that even though you don't appear to possess a single ounce of humor in your body, I'm still giving you a chance." Nighteye continued. He lifted his hand at his sidekicks and her former partner's daughter. "The two of you go outside. Luna, you stay."

"Yes, sir!" Bubble Girl and Mirio understood with salutes.

As Mirio and Bubble Girl exited out of the office, Sir Nighteye turned back to Izuku and Luna.

"I'll take no offensive measures during this time." Nighteye said as he was twirling the stamp in between his fingers. "You're welcome to attack me in any manner you desire. Don't concern yourself with what happens to the room. Just come and get it."

Luna merely knows that Izuku got no time to strategize and must get that seal, so he can forge his own path to the number one spot.

Izuku activated One For All: Full Cowl that released red vein-like lines coursing throughout his body and unleashed green electrical energy aura flowing around him. He started charging straight at Nighteye with remarkable speed.

"An approach from the front, but it's merely a feint and a failed grab." Nighteye said.

When Nighteye saw through Izuku's full frontal assault, he simply evaded the attack.

Luna watched the scene with awestruck eyes, knowing that Izuku will have a difficult time to counterattack Nighteye's Quirk.

Izuku landed on top of the file drawer and launched himself to snatch the stamp out of Nighteye's hand from above.

"And then another jump attacks to no avail." Nighteye added.

But once again, Nighteye managed to dodge Izuku.

"I can see everything." Nighteye said.

Izuku kept jumping around Nighteye in hopes to snatch the stamp with his Full Cowl, but Nighteye kept avoiding incoming multiple jumping attacks with amazing speed. Then, Izuku backflipped towards his backpack. He grabbed his backpack and tossed it at Nighteye, who instantly zoomed out of the way that made Izuku touch the office door instead.

"Is that all you've got?" Nighteye questioned. "I thought you were attempting to show me your usefulness. This is a waste of time."

Aisha wasn't even kidding about Sir's Quirk. Luna thought in awe. Come to think of it, he never even told me about his Quirk since we first met. So, Nighteye can see Izuku's actions in advance for an hour. Come on, Midoriya. You can do it!

"One minute passes to back up briefly." Nighteye said. He watched Izuku deactivating his Full Cowl and panting deep breaths. "And appears nervous. Finally understanding that he can't overcome my foresight."

Izuku kept panting for deep breaths. He realized multiple attacks won't create an opening since Nighteye can see into his future. It doesn't matter how many different moves he can come up, Nighteye's one step ahead of him.

"I had high expectations for you until now." Nighteye said harshly. "You have the power to become a symbol but your mediocre. Meanwhile, villains everywhere that are getting restless and gloom is creeping closer. A pity. All Might chose wrong after all. Mirio should have inherited the power."

Nighteye's statement struck Izuku and Luna in an utter mix of shock and surprise.

"What are you talking about? Chose wrong after all?" Izuku demanded.

"Don't get me wrong. I do love and respect All Might, but I don't understand why he chose you." Nighteye elaborated. "How can you succeed him?"

Izuku and Luna stared at Nighteye in disbelief. They never really thought about there were candidates before Midoriya, which lead them to notice that Togata was in the running to inherit One For All. Why All Might didn't tell them about it before?

"You think you have time to stand frozen or are you just getting tired running out of ideas?" Nighteye spoke blatantly. "I was honestly a bit curious when Mirio told me he was going to bring you here to introduce you. But it turns out it was a waste of time. There is a candidate who is far worthier of inheriting One For All than you. As such, I cannot acknowledge you."

As Luna could feel the growing anger overpowering her mind, she activated her Dazzling Trinity that unleashed a pure pink energy aura with triquetra tattoo-like marks coursing through her body. She began charging towards Nighteye with extraordinary speed and delivered a swift kick that was close to hit the pro hero's face until Nighteye managed to avoid in a nick of time. Luna then landed next to Izuku with an angry glare.

I should've known. Luna thought. He has been keeping tabs on my moves since the first day we met.

"Luna, you are born a proud daughter of two pro heroes and you dare interfere?" Nighteye said with narrow eyes.

"Sorry, Nighteye, but you don't even know Midoriya the way I do. He worked so hard to get where he is today!" Luna snapped. "So, don't you dare say that he's not worthy of One For All! If he hasn't inherited that Quirk from my father and I ended up inherited One For All instead, I'll let him inherited that power from me!"

Izuku stared at Luna with wide eyes. As All Might's daughter, Luna has always been supportive of him since the day he inherited One For All from the Symbol of Peace. But he's not the same old Izuku who was used to getting denied and put down by everyone, so he refused to take in Nighteye's harsh words.

Izuku placed his hand on Luna's shoulder, shaking her out of her anger and signaling her that he has to take Nighteye on his own. Luna nodded her head and deactivated Dazzling Trinity before backing away from the fight. Izuku then reactivated his Full Cowl and started bouncing around the room at high speeds while Nighteye just stood where he was standing with narrow eyes.

Luna's eyes widened as she knows that Izuku was planning on increasing his speed so he can outpace Nighteye even if he could see the attack coming.

"I swear I will make you acknowledge me." Izuku said firmly.

Nighteye didn't respond and began predicting Izuku's planned attack in seconds.

As Izuku lunged forward with his hand out, Nighteye zoomed away. But that doesn't keep Izuku from keep trying to snatch the stamp out of Nighteye's hand.

"Gran Torino's style. You're a mere shadow of the original." Nighteye told Izuku as he kept avoiding Izuku's bouncing off the wall moves. "For the next hour, provided the conditions on that. I can see what you'll do wherever you go. In case you're interested, two minutes from now you'll be slumped on the floor with neither the seal nor the contract. You've looked unsure since this trial began. But All Might certainly must have taught you better than that. Fear and indecision are luxuries a top-tier hero cannot afford. Someone who understands that will always act with vision and purpose. You must have been told this countless times. But now when your trainings being put to the test, you choked. You said you would make me acknowledge you. But the more I see the more convinced, I become that you will ultimately fail."

"He said I can do it!" Izuku shouted.

"Who said that? One of your little friends or Luna?" Nighteye asked tauntingly.

"The greatest hero the world's ever seen!" Izuku shouted.

Then suddenly, Izuku stood next to Nighteye's desk and threw it with books on top of it. That sent all the papers and books flying around in front of Nighteye. Luna analyzed that Nighteye won't be able to read through the randomly falling books while becoming distracted from focusing on Izuku's movements.

Slick trick, Midoriya! Luna thought with a smile.

Then, Izuku aimed his position and lunged forward toward Sir's hand that was carrying the stamp.

"Whether you like it or not, I am All Might's successor just like his daughter!" Izuku announced confidently.

But Sir Nighteye effortlessly avoided Izuku and managed to get his hand away from him once again, leading the young student ram his face first into the wall.

"That doesn't alter what I see." Nighteye stated. "It's over."

"No, it's not!" Izuku said.

"Three minutes have passed." Nighteye pointed out.

"What?" Izuku muttered as he stared up at the clock in bewilderment.

"You're All Might's chosen successor?" Nighteye inquired. "It's beggar's belief. You devised only a single plan and it failed spectacularly, leaving you worn out."

"I didn't botch this test because I'm tired." Izuku said as he tried to catch his breath.

"Then what happened?" Nighteye asked curiously.

"I realized I was about to step on the poster for All Might's 10th anniversary as a hero. The one that was never for sale." Izuku replied.

Luna and Nighteye glanced around the room. They seemed to realize that Izuku was avoiding all of the All Might memorabilia while he was ricocheting around the room. Izuku have successfully controlled his wild movements enough to avoid running any of the memorabilia while evaluating his surroundings and countermeasures against the pro hero while even when Nighteye was expressively provoking him.

That revelation made Sir Nighteye laugh slightly, which caught Luna's attention.

Well done, Midoriya. Luna thought with a smile. I think Nighteye is starting to acknowledge you after all.

Soon after, Mirio and Bubble Girl arrived back in the office.

"And your well-timed return!" Mirio announced.

"You're done, right, sir? That loud bang at the end sounded pretty final." Bubble Girl said.

"I'll take the boy, Mirio." Nighteye informed.

"Oh, that's awesome!" Mirio exclaimed with an exciting smile.

Izuku and Luna stared at Nighteye with shock faces.

"What? I don't understand. I didn't do either of the things you asked me to." Izuku said.

"I told you to take the seal for me and stamp the contract yourself, but I didn't say you'd be rejected if you failed." Nighteye said.

"Yeah, but…!" Izuku said.

Nighteye walked over towards his desk.

"Congrats, Midoriya. You pulled it off." Mirio said as he and Luna walked up to check on Izuku. He then turned back to Nighteye. "So, he made you laugh after all."

"I had already decided I would take you on when I heard you were coming." Nighteye noted, holding a contact in his hand and taking few steps right in front of Izuku. "I also knew that you weren't entirely lacking in skill and intellect, but I still wanted to see it for myself. The Symbol of Peace is gone and the people are looking not for a dim light, but a dazzling one. You'll work here alongside professionals and you will see regardless of All Might's mandate. You're not worthy of his power."

Nighteye dropped the stamp to fall onto Izuku's hand and Izuku stamped the employment contract.

"I look forward to working with you." Izuku said boldly.

Luna and Izuku shared a joyous glance as Luna sent Izuku an encouraging smile and Izuku responded with a thumb-up.

In Heights Alliance, Luna, Selene, Diana, and Aisha sat on the steps outside in their casual attire. Luna had just finished telling her friends about her day at Sir Nighteye's agency.

"Congrats, Luna. You're officially gonna be working with Nighteye for your work-study program." Selene said. "Well done."

"Thanks." Luna said with a smile. "But you guys should've seen how he used his Quirk against me and Midoriya. His Quirk is no joke."

"Told ya." Aisha grinned as she took a bite of her chocolate candy bar.

"I just can't believe you tried to hit that icy Sir Nighteye in the face!" Diana said. "That's crazy! And that's coming from me."

"My mother's agency is taking me in as an intern, so I'm good." Selene said.

"Same. I really wanna go to any agency that doesn't involve my father, but my mom bribed me into getting free nikuman if I join their agency." Diana groaned as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"And you went for it." Luna and Selene smirked.

"Yeah. I couldn't resist." Diana smiled sheepishly.

"You three got agencies and I'm struck on getting my provisional license." Aisha said. She slumped with a heavy sigh. "I really gotta to catch up to you guys and fast."

Luna, Diana, and Selene giggled.

The next day, Izuku and Luna arrived inside Nighteye's office that was marked the beginning of their work study program.

"Today, we will be doing patrols and surveillance. We'll split up into two teams." Nighteye instructed as he took out a work file and opened it on his desk. "I'll be with Bubble Girl. Mirio, you're with Midoriya and Luna."

"On surveillance?" Luna asked interestedly. "How come?"

"The Nighteye agency is currently working on a secret investigation." Bubble Girl said.

"Shie Hassaikai is a small organized crime syndicate." Nighteye added as he showed his sidekicks the photo of the man. "That's Kai Chisaki. As the young head of the group, he's second-in-command and he's been behaving strangely lately. That plague mask is his trademark."

"Creepy. I thought there wasn't much trouble with organized crime these days." Izuku wondered as he glanced at the photo in his hand. "Since the police know who they are and monitor their movements."

"It's been that way since the big groups broke up. But this Chisaki guy is starting to gather them together again." Bubble Girl explained. "Through we don't know why. The details are unclear, but we do know he made contact with the League of Villains recently."

Luna and Izuku gasped in shock as they exchanged surprise glances. They remembered that organization made up of powerful villains was threatening to destroy the Hero society by attacking the U.A. students in the USJ and kidnapping Katsuki and Luna at the Quirk Training Camp. But have they really decided to side with Kai Chisaki?

"Unfortunately, we don't have solid proof linking him to anything criminal yet." Nighteye stated. "Osaka operates an illegal gray area that's close to black, but we can't treat them like villains. Our objective is to tail them and find out what they're up to. Be careful not to arouse any suspicion."

"Yes, sir!" Mirio, Izuku, Luna, and Bubble Girl understood.

Meanwhile, a little boy was walking through the alley. He was aware that someone was following closely behind him, but he ignored that person and kept walking forward.

As the little boy emerged out of the dark alley and towards the street, he accidentally bumped into Luna and fell down on the ground. Luna crouched down in front of the little boy. The young boy looked like a five-year-old child with pale skin, short messy grayish-blue hair, and blue eyes. He wore a short-sleeved eggplant-colored shirt and cobalt blue pants.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't see you coming." Luna apologized with a warm smile. She crouched her knees in front of the child. "Are you lost? Let me help you."

Luna's senses alerted when her eyes darted at the familiar glowing black triquetra symbol on the little boy's forehead.

What? This child is carrying the same symbol as I am! Luna thought in utter shock. How's that possible? Wait a minute! Does that mean…?

"Long time no see, Luna."

Luna looked up at the source of that voice. Her eyes widened in sheer shock when the sight of the familiar woman emerged from the alley. It was Carina!

"Hello, Luna. I see you met Nico. We had a lot to catch up on." Carina said with a greeting smile.

Enjoy and review.
