Chapter Twenty One: Mind Tricks
….
Third Point of View
….
"I'm sorry to report this, Brother Blood, but… we believe Joker has betrayed us. We've had zero luck locating his whereabouts and he's been radio silent for days," Caleb Green says with clear hesitancy in his voice.
Leave it to humans to ruin the plans Mother and Sebastian spent years making. Joker only served one purpose to his cause but it was an important cause nonetheless. He actually managed to do the one thing the pair struggled to do and that was creating the Comply Serum. What he needed to finally have the Daughter of Trigon in his possession and all he had to do was trade Compound A to the Joker. An easy task, right? They both get what they want so everyone is happy. Yeah, that'd be nice but of course nothing runs smoothly when the Joker is involved.
Sebastian learned that when Joker made the decision to sell Compound A behind his back to a couple of new Church members and they then took it upon themselves to try their new powers out. Not only did Joker go behind his back but he exposed them in a way that he didn't want and for that, they were sent straight to hell to pay for their sins two lifetimes over. Now he has a feeling that Caleb has even more terrible news.
"And?"
"Sir, we're missing a rather large supply of Compound A. It's highly likely that he stole-"
That's it, he's heard enough. Not letting Caleb finish his explanation, Sebastian cuts him off when he releases a super sonic roar from his lips and pins the scared man to the wall on the opposite side of the room. He ignores his pleas for help as Sebastian raises his hand and flexes his fingers towards him. Power rushes within him and spreads it's way through his fingertips as he compels Caleb's blood to spill down every seeable orifice on his face. Sebastian smiles as the screams only get louder. He knows it's not his fault that Joker did what he did but patience was never one of his strengths in life and he was pissed off. He convinced himself that this is a healthy way of relieving his anger and besides, new followers are easy to replace.
"He's not worth your energy, Sebastian. You should be saving it, after all we are too close to finally having everything we've wanted." Comes the voice of May Bennett as she walks into the well lit room.
Sebastian hates hearing her words because he can't deny the logic behind them. Punishing this useless human won't help him get any closer to getting his hands on more Comply Serum. It also won't bring any Compound A back into his possession. So with a growl, he releases Caleb and turns to his Mother as the bloody man slumps to the floor with a low groan.
"You may be right, Mother but that doesn't make me any less angry. I have to dispel this energy somehow." He's been holding back a lot in order to achieve his-no, their plan but he's starting to lose patience.
"And you will soon," she replies as she walks towards him. "Just think about all the energy you're holding in right now and how strong it will be once we're ready to use that power. It will give us her, forever, and we need her so we can make sure he never gets in our way."
She shoots him a small smile as she stops before him. Her blue eyes catch his red ones and she holds his attention. He doesn't shy away when she loosens a couple buttons of his top and swoops a hand up his hairy chest. May can feel him start to relax under her touch and she almost breathes a sigh of relief. This time was easy but not every time is.
"I know something that will help you relax, Sebastian."
"Hmn?"
"Your blood bath and it's ready for you. I sent a couple members to assist you after you're done. The sooner we do this, the sooner you and Raven will be married. And it's only a matter of time before you impregnate her to forever tie Brother Blood to the Daughter of Darkness." He nods, watching as she rubs circles up and down his chest. "And, if you'll still have me, you can put a baby in me too."
"May-"
"Only if it pleases you, Sebastian," she quickly adds, knowing his temper is a double edge blade. But instead of an outburst, he takes her chin in his hand, rubbing his thumb over her bottom lip.
"It does please me. You will always be my first and I could not have come this far without you, May. Once I secure my line to Raven's, you and I will be together in that way too. After all, we must always make sure there is another Brother Blood."
May could not be happier hearing Sebastian say those words to her. She has been by his side every day, working hard to come up with their plan and it hasn't all been easy, especially after she first brought him back from hell. Those days were the hardest to bear but now they are so close to getting everything they want. It is his destiny to marry Raven, linking their line with Trigon's for the rest of eternity. In doing so will create a strong bond between the two, which will allow Sebastian to control her much easier and with her friends out of the way, no one will stand in their way. Not even Trigon himself. But the best is yet to come.
May knows her place will always be second to Raven but that doesn't mean she's nothing to him. She knows he loves her and always will love her. How could he not when she saved him from the ninth dimension of hell and rehabilitated him? Not to mention she was the first woman he was ever with. By doing all of that, she has successfully sealed her fate with his. She made herself the safest person around him because he grew to need her just like he needs Raven.
Grabbing her hand, Sebastian removes it from his chest and drops it to her side before leaving the room without another word. He knows what he needs to do and he's more than ready to officially begin. She can only watch him as he leaves.

Raven's Point of View
….
"How does it feel? Too tight?" Marcee asks as she backs up from me, taking a long look over as I do the same in the full length mirror in front of me.
"It's perfect," I respond as I run a hand down the new fabric clinging to my body. It reminds me of my Anger Emoticlone but more adult like.
The uniform is very similar to my last one but instead of my usual blue, it's dark red and the slits of the dress go up my entire leg, not stopping until my lower waist is visible on each side of my hip. There's no belt, leaving my waist feeling lighter than I'm used to. The top of the dress is like a halter top, leaving my arms completely bare. My eyes go to the slit that begins below my breast but goes up my chest bone until it meets along the sides of the straps, which showcases more cleavage than I ever have in my life. Black thigh high, leather boots replace my blue ones, leaving me looking an inch or two taller. My favorite piece of fabric is the red cloak because it's exactly the same as my previous one but just a different color. I can tell that Sebastian definitely has a favorite color.
"That's wonderful, Brother Blood will be very pleased."
I nod before stepping away from the mirror and turn to Marcee. "I'm ready."
She nods but doesn't look me in the eyes as she keeps her stare downward. I can tell she's scared to be around me, afraid that if she messes up then Sebastian or I will punish her. A part of me wants to soothe her anxiety but I decide against it. Without another word, she leads me to my betrothed.
I feel a new wave of confidence with my new attire. Now I just hope Sebastian likes it. My mind wonders as I follow Marcee down the hall, I can't help but think about finally marrying Sebastian after all this time. I'm more than ready to show him how deep my devotion to him runs.
Soon enough we're stopping in front of a door but she quickly opens it for us. Walking inside I see her bowing her head before my eyes find him. He's chest deep in a small pool of blood with his arms resting on either side of him. A charming smile forms on his lips and it has me blushing in response.
"You're excused, Marcee," Sebastian says as he stands up. I hear her leaving without another word but my eyes never leave him. Watching as many red droplets fall from his beautiful, naked body and I can only swallow back my emotions when he turns away. A blonde woman in a robe holds up a gold pitcher until water pours over his body, washing him clean. I patiently wait while he finishes and puts on a red, silk robe with black outlining the edges. She hands him two full wine glasses before leaving the room. Finally, it's just the two of us.
"Sebastian." I say as I take a step towards him and watch with excitement as he does the same.
"You look exquisite, darling. This outfit suits you much better than your last one ever did."
"I guess I owe the change to you."
"It's my pleasure and duty to make sure my beautiful Queen has everything she needs."
His kind words have me leaning up to place a chaste kiss on his lips before stealing one of the wine glasses in his hands. I spare the red substance a glance before looking back up to my future husband, shock shining in his eyes. I know he's not used to people making a move without his permission but I refuse to act like the rest of his followers.
"I assume this one's for me?"
He nods. "Of course, my dear. Cheers."
"Cheers."
I raise the glass to my lips after clinking our glasses together. The taste is not what I was expecting, although I'm not really sure what I was really expecting since I've never drank blood before. Something sweet maybe? I wish but no, it leaves a more acidic taste on my tongue than anything else and it has me pulling away sooner than I thought I would.
"I'm not sure how I felt about that to be honest."
"You don't like it?" He questions with raised eyebrows. It's easy to see that he enjoys it much more than I do when he practically groans into the glass.
"Not particularly." Or at all but I'll be nice about it for him.
"Hmn, well it doesn't so much matter how it tastes but rather how it makes you feel. Drink the rest of this and your powers will be enhanced."
I nod. "As you wish, Brother Blood."
He smirks and this time, I don't stop drinking until I finish the glass. Ignoring the taste, I focus on his wildly red eyes. I'm sure anyone else would feel like prey with how he's looking at me with those eyes and him the predator but not me. No, we're partners, equals even. I know that because this is the man I have been with for years. The man that has loved me all this time and still loves me even after Jason and Dick tricked me. I feel like such a fool for believing anything they said and helping them trying to stop Sebastian. They will pay for that, I will make sure of it.
I lick my lips clean and he takes the empty wine glass from my hand. "So what happens next?"
"Next, we begin the ritual to release your true, highest self."
"My true self?"
He rests his hands on my shoulders as he responds. "Yes, my dear. You need to shed this body so you can finally obtain who you were always meant to be. You will be the most powerful being to ever exist, Raven, making us unstoppable. We are a matched pair, you and I."
"I'll do whatever you need me to do. I just want to help." How could I not want to help? He will make this world better than it has ever been. To finally cleanse all the non-believers and hatred this world has to offer.
"I know you do and I promise you will be helping me by undergoing the ritual." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "You should know, it will be excruciating but it will all be worth it so you can achieve your highest self in order to help me cleanse the world."
He drops his hands and I can't deny that I already miss his touch. "I'm strong, I can take it."
"I know you can," he says as he smirks and points to the door I came in through. "Shall we start, my love?"
"Your wish is my command, Sebastian."
