Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Cold Fire. Enjoy the 6100-word chapter. I don't own Frozen; Disney and a few others do.
(Arendelle.)
She hadn't yet gotten anywhere with this; she hadn't been prepared for now. There was so much she didn't know about Pyram as the two rulers gazed out over the horizon. Today? Well, it just slowly slipped into place.
Pyram almost retired before he realized just what had happened and what he had to do. There was so much paperwork to be done when it came down to it. It made him tired before he clicked his fingers and rested his hand near hers, flames dancing from his fingertips as he did so. There was so much more on his mind.
"How do you deal with being the queen of an entire nation that constantly has to deal with problems on a global scale?" Pyram questioned with a raised eyebrow as he looked over the sea.
"It comes with being a queen and having to constantly deal with it… The paperwork sucks." Elsa said to which Pyram laughed and smirked before he sighed.
"Eh, your something else, your majesty," Pyram said while he looked over the ocean once again. "What's going to happen when more ships come up? There are a lot more people coming this way… Trust me, all those ships? I had more sent here as we agreed on." Pyram said while he clicked his fingers on the railing.
He could tell there was a lot more to this game than there should have been. He knew well enough to not do something that could have been a problem for him to have solved. He sensed so much more work to have done when it was all said and done.
There was nothing else on his mind, it just happened to have been done for now when it all came to an end. If he didn't? Well, this problem wasn't going to hurt worse as of the time being when it came down to it. He clicked his tongue before he sighed to himself before he sighed.
Elsa stayed silent and simply tapped her nails on the railing in front of them. This had been an eventful plant to have to question.
Still? There was too much to have to plan upon when it seemed to have to focus upon. Elsa seemed to tap on the railing before she turned to Elsa stated to herself.
She watched as he slowly started to cross his arms and then slowly started to have to look around, there was too much amusement at their antics, far too amused to simply back down.
"Your too tired and thrown off by the journey to talk, no?" Elsa asked to which Pyram shrugged.
"No, just pondering the best thing to do when I return to Ignis and such, there's a lot more to see and do at the end of the day." Pyram stated before he sighed, too unsure of what to have to do at the moment and how they'd do it.
He was so unsure for now and it bothered him to no real end at the end of the day. it was all so pear-shaped for them all as of this very day.
"You're a very quiet king, aren't you?" Elsa questioned as Pyram shrugged and looked at her with amusement.
"There's a lot of things I've noticed get done if you don't talk a lot and listen," Pyram said before he sighed. "I don't mean to insult you. My point is…" Pyram said as Elsa snorted.
"To let others, say something stupid and act on it?" Elsa stated to which he sighed and rolled his eyes with amusement at the time being. "Yes, I can tell what you're saying at the moment, sorry, I just find it a bit funny when it comes down to it," Elsa stated as Pyram rolled his eyes.
"There's a lot more to this than you expected, no? We find a lot more to have to question at the moment." Elsa stated as Pyram hummed and shrugged.
"There's a lot more ridiculous things in life than dealing with types of things like paperwork and such. Trust me… I'm well aware of what you're getting at. It's just a lot worse than you assume it's going to be." Pyram said while he shrugged and looked around with such amusement that he almost forgot himself for a second.
He knew he found this to be far more amusing than it should have been. If anything? Pyram was finding life to be rather worth it at the time.
It bothered him, but he was still standing despite its illusive nature to him. It was all so freaking weird to him at the end of the day.
He hadn't yet seemed to have to question what to do next for now. This was a lot more of a horrible thing when it came down to it. There was a lot more of a problem as to how this does next. Pyram stayed silent before he looked up at the glistening stars above as if they had been invisible to him at the moment. This had been something nice and atmospheric.
"What's on your mind?" Pyram stated to which he looked at Elsa and smirked at her. "I know your mind is rolling around like a stone," Pyram said while he clicked his fingers on the metallic railing.
"Maybe. Not entirely sure." Elsa stated before he sighed to herself. "Still trying to think about what this could have done to fix this," Elsa stated while Pyram sighed as he hummed.
"I'm sure you're going to end this talk when it came down to it." Pyram stated before he sighed to himself.
"What are we going to do next?" Elsa stated to which Pyram stayed silent once more. "Real nice advice, Pyram. Real nice." Elsa joked to which he looked at her.
"I'm not sure what to tell you. This plan belonged to us both." Pyram stated while he rubbed his eyes. "Those lights are nice and peaceful, aren't they? It seems like they are dancing as of now." Pyram stated to which Elsa rubbed at her temples.
"You're an odd king, aren't you, Pyram?" Elsa questioned to which Pyram rubbed at his temples before he cleared his throat.
"You're a lot odder a queen than I assumed you had been when it comes down to it," Pyram responded while Elsa rubbed her nose and then looked at the ocean.
"There's a lot we don't know. I don't know what to do next. This move is going to be big for both Arendelle and Ignis. We both know that this isn't going to be easy. I don't know what's going to happen next. The biggest push we try is going to be all too much." Elsa added to which she seemed to click her tongue against the roof of her mouth, the warm air crossing her face as she did so.
This wasn't going to be easy when it all came down to it. She hummed while she tapped on her throat and pondered their next move. The next move was the one that would test their kingdom entirely. It wasn't something they envied as rulers of two separate perhaps something that they could deal with.
He rubbed at his nose as he seemed to have to perhaps question what to do next. He didn't have the answers she wanted him to and she knew that. It was too terrifying for such a problem to have been laid on their laps when all of this was done.
Pyram was tapping on his arms and neck while questioning what to tell Elsa and how this could have gone for the time being.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Pyram stated to which Elsa nodded as he hummed and then looked around. "Good. We have a lot of work to have to do when it comes down to it. We're not going to have to wait for a long time." Elsa stated that she seemed to be prepared for the best of the time when it came down to it.
He knew for the time being when it seemed to have to question when it came down to it. He seemed to have to prepare for now what it should be.
He rubbed at his temples before he leaned on the railing before he looked at her. This hadn't seemed to have been well planned out for now and they both knew it. Pyram was amused and knew for a fact they had something on the horizon.
He didn't think it was war. He had no plans to try and conquer Arendelle when it was all said and done. Pyram didn't need new land nor did he need any resources here. Not at least when he considered it while he clicked his jaws.
"Are you sure?" Pyram heard from Elsa as he nodded. "Do you wish to have some sort of talk about this or just act as if we can talk without words?" Elsa questioned to which Pyram hummed and shrugged before he looked around.
"Well, some people DO end up not using words so there's that, to begin with." Pyram joked before he looked down at the ground. "And for once? Your right. This is a massive decision that affects both of our kingdoms." Pyram stated while he leaned on the railing.
"Are you expected to have a plan when it comes to it?" Elsa stated to which Pyram hummed and nodded.
"What did you have on your mind?" Pyram stated while he conjured a flame back in the palm of his hand. "We have more work to do. I'll get the first few ships offloaded tonight, yet we need to work out a plan for the rest of them." Pyram stated to which Elsa hummed.
"I might have one, but it's a much longer plan than the last one was, I hope that's ok for you," Elsa stated as Pyram shrugged.
"I don't have a lot on my plate, Elsa." Pyram stated before he shook his head. "If you have some sort of answer to it? Let's hear it. This isn't like we have bad ideas; you are well are of how this plan was to be and how we were to get it off the ground." Pyram said before Elsa hummed once more.
She knew he was willing to hear her out. He was always willing to hear her out. They had so many problems yet this was not one of them. It hadn't been that way for a long time when it came down to it and she was amused and happy he wasn't as boneheaded as Hans.
"We're going to be meeting again several times after this," Elsa stated to which Pyram shrugged.
He had so much more amusement and such on his face that he was saddened by the fact his face was obscured by his helmet as he seemed to have been getting on about this. Pyram stayed silent before he shook his head and looked up at the sky.
"There's a lot of things to deal with when it comes down to it," Elsa stated to which he shook his head. "We need to get going. There are too many nightmares on your mind, we can't worry about the little things like this." Pyram stated and crossed his arms.
"And what did you have on your mind?" Elsa stated to which she shook her head. "This is going to be a lot more life to question," Elsa stated before she tilted her head.
"We had a lot more to do next." Pyram stated while he rubbed his temples.
"And this isn't going to be hard as you think," Elsa stated to which she shook her head. "We need more time to fix the details," Elsa stated before she tilted her head.
"And what is going to be hard for you to do?" Pyram asked while he raised his eyebrow. "We have a lot more time to iron out these details," Pyram said while he sighed and clenched the flame in his hand.
"The fact we might need to worry about war. The other kingdoms and empires have looked at Arendelle over the past few months." Elsa stated before he sighed to himself. "We don't know what they're going to do. They seemed to be scouting the shores and seeing if they were able to attack us." Elsa stated to which Pyram stated before he shook his head.
"Ignis has its enemies and such." Pyram stated to which Elsa fell silent and then quiet.
"Then it seems we're on the same page when it comes down to it," Elsa said as Pyram nodded. "What's going to happen next? If war comes? I'll be forced to respond to them with our army and the last thing I want to do is send Arendelle's best warriors to their graves. War is such a disgusting topic." Elsa stated to which Pyram scratched at his helmet.
"Yes, but to so many people? It's the easiest way to get what you want. Why talk when you can just take it and kill whoever else is involved with it? We both know that considering Hans was fine with killing you just to take over Arendelle." Pyram stated before he shook his head.
"We have so blasted much to discuss what to deal with when it comes down to it." Pyram stated to which he tapped on his arms.
"Then what do you suggest? We can't just talk these enemies into backing down. This isn't going to be a problem." Elsa stated to which she sighed. "All of this wasn't going to be easy for now. I don't know what's going to happen, this needs to end." Elsa added before she sighed to herself.
"We both knew going into this that was going to be an obstacle for now." Pyram stated before he sighed and looked before he shook his head. "All of us went into this knowing that the idea with it was obvious. All of these things? Well, we expected it." Pyram stated to which he hummed.
Then she glanced at him before he raised an eyebrow. The Queen of Arendelle looked at the King of Ignis who had fallen silent before she smirked and then looked around before it came down to it.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Pyram questioned to which Elsa hummed before she tilted her head. "All of us need to get work done sooner or later." Pyram stated as Elsa leaned on her side.
"We're both going to be all right. This isn't going to be solved with just a few details and words." Elsa said to which Pyram leaned on the railing before he glanced over.
"If anything goes wrong? There needs to be a plan in place for us to get this done and over with nothing." Pyram said to which Elsa frowned and looked at him. "If something comes up? We need to be ready. We can't just pretend that nothing will go wrong. If anything? All details like this have done show just how important it is to have a real plan. That's all we can hope for." Pyram stated to which Elsa hummed.
It wasn't a bad idea in practice, but applying it? Well, they hadn't the proper clue as to how well it'd have gone down at the time when all of this was said and done at the end of the day just like all days.
Neither of them hoped to have to put their plans into action for now. Pyram was already deciding his next move in the brisk minutes that they had, the seconds they had were vital to which he didn't know… They had more to focus on, much more than had been possible for now. it only served to have to focus upon more for the moment.
Pyram looked at Elsa. The queen of Arendelle seemed puzzled and caught off guard, he had known her from the letters to be very well-spoken but someone who damn well wouldn't have made his problems worse. They both wanted their kingdoms to be able to thrive, to enjoy life without their fear of life which meant they had more to have to do for now. They didn't even know what their kingdoms would do with this.
It was something that both worried him and yet had driven him crazier for the time being. He seemed to have to get this was all too much for him alone.
"If I can tell you something to be honest? I rather like the fact that we're allies, it's something that I rather enjoy about these talks. I do want to point out that coming here is going to have been the highlight of my day." Pyram stated while he clicked his fingers, flames leaping from his armored limbs.
Still? He didn't know if this peace was going to last. They had something else, for the time being, they had more to focus on when it comes down to it.
This wasn't to be easy but he didn't want to just surrender and allow it to have to focus upon for now. He was dedicated to his kingdom and he wasn't prepared for the worst. They were all more interested in what was going to have to happen to end this on a happy note, a happy note that didn't have any losses, any bloodshed, or anything that could have decided it.
Pyram was too tired to have time to discuss these details. He was questioning how this war would have come to a close. This was so much more than before, something that had crossed his mind.
Pyram leaned his hands on the railing in front of him, too interested, too caught in what to have to do after this talk had ended and something manifested from it.
He was still at peace, too much at peace to let this go down the way it could have been. There were more problems with this way and yet? It had appeared to be something far beyond for now as he looked around the room before he looked around for a moment of amusement, it was too clear what would happen if something was forced.
Elsa knew exactly what was to come if they had been on this path and war came… All of them would be caught off guard and yet? They were at a crossroads, not able to fight a war and yet dreading the idea of one so brazenly.
He was all for an end to such hostilities under less violent methods and it was clear so was she. Pyram did not intend to go to war merely over the idea that their kingdom was not fully aligned with one another. That was purely a bad strategy and it would possibly lead to the end of Ignis as a kingdom.
"We could rent a neutral ship and meet there if you wish. No guards, no decorum, simply two people talking and discussing politics. I do not believe you could not simply take me out if you wished nor I take down you in armed combat… Though my people may see it vastly different as of now." Pyram suggests to which Elsa hummed.
"Your eager to see this deal through to the end," Elsa said as Pyram nodded.
"I do what I must for my people and as I said? I see no reason to be your enemy. Hans was a stubborn fool who'd slay a queen and play her sister for a tool in such a twisted machination of schemes." Pyram said while he smiled. "I'd not be as lenient on someone who betrayed me so I can at least understand the hostility." Pyram stated to which Elsa nodded.
"If what you say is true? I think I might know a place we can meet which isn't at all owned by Ignis and Arendelle. I do wish to promise you I will be on my guard. I want this alliance, but if it falls through? The alliance might go sour." Elsa said as Pyram hummed.
"If it pleases you to be so prepared? Go ahead. I'll not bring any guards which may assault you nor weapons to strike you and I will make sure you know my intent as you do now." Pyram said before he smiled sadly. "I still wish to ask for your help with my abilities. This much power and skill in the world were… Something else, it'd be entirely treasonous to see you that way at all." Pyram said before he frowned and looked down at the ground in anguish.
"Perhaps I should expect more or less of an issue and yet I don't at all know what it'd be like for now. I do know it will not be easy, but I do not intend to waste such a gesture on a foolish errand. Not without a good reason." Pyram stated as he sighed and looked down on the rest of the kingdom.
Pyram was going to be said and done for now as he looked around the room before yawning to himself and then looking up and around. Pyram didn't at all intend to let it fall to pieces and it'd need to be like that for something else.
Elsa was all too interested in what needed to be done and part of him as well. Pyram was curious and more curious for now as he seemed to prepare himself mentally for the chaos that would come next as a result of it all at the end of the day. They had so much more to try and fix, more to try and do, so much he could not see and do and so little to try and fixate upon. It was so odd and so nice for him that it almost didn't at all seem fair, nor did it seem to bother him at the end of the day.
Elsa was quiet as well as she looked at her friend, all too amused, eager to see it end. It wouldn't yet be able to relax and kick up her feet. It would be vastly as different as both of them were able to relax upon… Yet? it was a lot more to try and relax upon.
She was a lot more to focus on at the end of the day and it was becoming more and more strenuous at the end of the day. There was just more and more of an odd little nightmare.
She clicked her fingers on the banister in front of her, a lot and a lot more scared. She looked around before watching in amazement as fire and ice started to combine, their magics becoming once at the same time.
It didn't at all seem to be something they could relax upon as she watched it slowly start to dance across their fingertips with such grace and speed that it almost seemed as if both looked around, unsure of what to say, what to do and if it could even be considered a nice little oddity for now.
"Our combined power is incredible, you know… I don't even know what will happen when we try and get it to be so came down to it. They had a lot more potential as a combo than I expected… it's very odd, isn't it? I don't even begin to know what to expect if we combined it more." Pyram said before Elsa sighed and looked up at the sky.
As much as she wanted to trust? She couldn't, not easily, not again. It wouldn't be fair to anyone or anything at the end of the day when it came down to it. They had a lot more to question upon such a moment and he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth before now and he was utterly tired more and more of such ideals and such small little fights at the end of today.
Pyram hummed and continued to hold a flame in the palm of his hand and it continued to be better and better at the moment. He clicked to focus his power in the palm of his hand before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
It wasn't something that he could easily control nor did he want to try to. He didn't know what would come next at the end of the day and he was scared trying to understand it all. There was only so much he could do alone.
"You plan on helping me even if I decline an alliance," Elsa said as Pyram shrugged.
"I still care enough to be your friend, your highness. You didn't stop trying to help me when I wrote you the letter about certain issues you don't know about or perhaps you do and you don't want me to know… You're a very interesting woman you know when it comes down to it. Sometimes I'm just left fascinated by your words at the moment." Elsa heard as she snorted.
It was clear Pyram was trying to be nice and part of her trusted him. He didn't come here with enough soldiers for war and he kept his hand shown. All of the power he commanded didn't seem to match the fact he was being nice. If Pyram wanted something it was clear he could take something, control it, and bend it to his control. He didn't at all and she could tell him that he was at least trying to be nice.
"If you have all this power? There must be someone who can help us. I think I might know someone but you are going to need to trust me a lot more than you do already to try and fix it." Elsa stated before Pyram hummed.
"Oh, and I wasn't trusting you before, great queen of Arendelle. How dare I possibly not tell you I trust you." Pyram stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
Pyram was silent as he looked upwards and into the sky, eager to try and look at the end of the road without bloodshed on their side. It was something that could only get them so far at the end of the day, eager to relax, eager to get this war done and dusted.
"Do you trust them as I trust you?" Pyram stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, resting his hand on hers again.
"Yes…. But I do want to warn you I'm not allowing anyone towards them besides us. If we go? We're going there alone. Their practically family to me." Pyram stated before he clicked his fingers on the railing.
He knew a lot more to try to discuss at the end of the time. The best of plans at the moment would grow more and more for now and it'd continue to grow in his heart more and more at the end of the moment.
He still smiled before he slowly started to think about the end of the day before now and it was clear more and more to her that whatever they had on the line? Both of them were going to fight more and more together as a united front and it would get more and more upon the time being.
Still? All of it became harder and harder and harder to swallow at the time being and so much more. They were a combined group and all of it seemed to be worse and worse before they combined forces. There was a lot more to try and focus upon certain issues at the moment.
"Are you ok? We need to get going sooner or later. I have a lot more to try and figure out when I get to Ignis again." Pyram stated before he sighed and slowly started to look upwards into the sky.
There was a lot more to do and it was just more and more to amuse them to such a degree, something that could best relax them. Elsa tapped his hand which made him look upwards and into the sky before she clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth, too utterly thrown off to get either of them to relax.
She looked up at the stars before she looked downwards slightly, noticing her kingdom seemed to be utterly tired, unsure of something that needed to be finished and possibly pushed aside.
It was odd but it was too nice to try and think about certain issues. She noted Pyram resting a hand upon his helm, too unsure what to tell her, what to ask and how well he could ask her, what would need to be asked.
"There are a lot more details and I'd rather iron them out face to face than over letters where they will take weeks at best." Pyram stated before he clicked his fingers on the wall.
"Maybe, there's a lot we can do… How long are you planning to stay before we have to part company?" Pyram heard from Elsa as he shrugged, utterly amused at the time.
"I do not know; I believe we can work that out when it's tomorrow. We both know what tomorrow will bring and we already know our people will need to get used to this sort of union…" Pyram said as he hummed and rubbed at his arm before looking at the frozen flame within their palms.
"I do wish to point out friend or not I do wish to learn more about our powers, both of our powers can lead to something far grander than it should be. We need to try and get ahead of it all and whatever it is. Well, we don't know what we can do and I'm a little scared of what we can do when we're able to combine this power." Pyram said before he gestured to their hands, curious as to what they could do as a team, for now, unsure what to do.
Pyram watched as Elsa slowly started to think of what to do next, utterly unsure of what to do next. It was utterly odd for now, too much for anyone to try and focus upon and it became harder and harder and harder to focus on certain problems.
He didn't at all know what to do next there was just more and more and more at the end of the day. Pyram was utterly unsure of what the next course as king he should focus upon was and what to say and do next.
"Are you going to be ok at the end of the day? I know Ignis is a long distance away and it's going to be a while before we can speak again." Elsa stated before he looked down at the ground.
"I don't know. I have to deal with when I get back to Ignis which is kind of why I'd like to get as much of Ignis's business out of the way before now." Elsa heard before she nodded.
"Fine then… Perhaps tomorrow we can work out the beginning of the deal? Something slightly official but not finalized, not until we plan out all the details." Elsa stated before he turned to look down at the ground, utterly exhausted.
"You're sure?" Pyram questioned before he looked downwards at the ground.
"Yes, you've come all this way and it isn't like we have talked before now. We've been able to talk far before now and if you wanted to do something? I doubt you'd risk your own life." Elsa stated before he looked down at the ground.
"We both have a lot to try and think of for the sake of our people, Elsa," Pyram said before he hummed. "How about a deal? We talked about going to your friends to talk about the magic. I'll come alone in exchange for the deal… You can bring whomever you want, I'll just come by myself, no warriors, no weapons, no armor." Pyram said before Elsa hummed.
"You mean I get to see you without that fancy suit your wearing?" Elsa joked before smiling. "Deal. The one thing we can agree on now is our people come first. The deal benefits our kingdoms, the magic benefits us. I don't feel bad that we have… Misgivings about this." Elsa said before she looked down at the ground.
"Maybe, but I don't want you to have misgivings about the deal. I know what Arendelle went through, I should have suggested that we hold this meeting on neutral ground." Pyram stated before Elsa hummed.
"Being away from Arendelle isn't something that I want to try and deal with at the end of the day. My people need me so it really might not have helped." Elsa stated before she looked down at the ground.
There was a lot more to try and focus upon at the end of today, it was a lot more to try and focus on, a lot more, all of it was just odder and odder to fixate on… It needs to end sometime soon.
Elsa watched as wisps of fire and ice slowly floated into the sky and remembered just what was coming, what was coming to the entire kingdom, and what would shake it to the core.
They have so much to try and understand, so much to try and overcome with time and effort… It was such an odd little moment to deal with at the end of the day, he was too busy to try and click it all into place. She was eager more than anything.
Pyram for his part was utterly quiet, utterly uncertain as he tapped his metallic fingers upon the railing and she could tell he was all too unsure and uncertain at the moment.
It is something that could and would get harder and harder to fathom all the time, such details were messy and very harder and harder to figure out.
He was nothing if determined to be a good warrior, nothing if not eager to help others and make certain she knew more and more that he was on her side. They held differing views as king and queen of two very different countries, but it was clear more and more that they were all too eager and uncertain of it all.
What little had been done would be fixed now as of the time being could and would be and all of them knew it. they wanted to be ready for the best and the worst of what could be offered.
Yes, it seemed to be something the two were used to. She turned to Pyram, a glint in her eyes as she did so.
"I'm going to assume you are turning in for tonight soon?" Elsa asked to which Pyram hummed.
"Yes. I just don't feel tired yet. I'll return to my ship, the last thing I want to do is make it feel like I'm trying to kill you inside your home… Plus our people have a fragile peace enough, Ignis soldiers barging in Arendelle's front door looking for me is terrible enough." Pyram said before Elsa hummed.
"Then tomorrow we deal with everything we can?" Pyram heard from Elsa as he hummed.
"No, I wanted to give you something before I left, and if I don't? I don't think I'll remember it in time. The last thing I think I can do at the end of the day is remembered things." Pyram said before he looked down at the ground, too annoyed by antics far beyond his control at the end of it all, there was a lot more to try and understand as of the time being.
She was quiet but it was clear both of them had something else to worry about next. It was just going to be something horrid for now like it usually was.
Such problems never seemed to bother making it odder and odder when it came down to it.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words and will show both Elsa and Pyram talking more and setting up their bond along with showing the villain of the story. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
