A.n I own Nothing

Okay everyone that's it from me...I am going to be away on Holiday for the next three weeks so there will be no updates until the end of July. For those of you who live in the USA I am headed to your country for San Diego Comic Con and I can not wait to visit.

I do have two 13hr flights to look forward too so I will try to do some writing on the way over and on the return journey but there will be no new posts until I get back.

So I guess the only thing left to do is say...Bon Voyage.

As always Please Review

Wait...hold on you got your memory back?" Usopp asked.

"Yep, I remember everything," Luffy smiled.

"Really?" Connor asked.

"Yeah," Luffy agreed.

"So...are we really Pirates?" Sanji asked.

"Is everything these two told us true?" Chopper added.

"It is, you guys really are my Nakma,"

"Don't you mean you're part of my Pirate Crew," Usopp said.

"You're the sniper, not the captain," Luffy reminded.

"Hold on...if you're the captain why does he go around saying he's the captain?" Chopper asked confused.

"Oh that...Usopp has this thing about lies and tall tales. He likes to make believe to play a lot so and his stories are really entertaining so I let him make stuff up and he claims to be a great captain when he's really not," Luffy explained.

"But he's not the captain," Sanji stated.

"Nah, he's not even the first mate," Luffy claimed.

"Wait...I'm not?" Usopp gawked.

"You're not in any kind of position of power on this crew," Connor clarified.

"HUH!" Usopp yelled.

"Yeah I gave that job to Zoro...which reminds me we should go get him and Nami," Luffy mused.

"We should wait until Moring for that," Robin advised "that way we can search the Island properly,"

"Hmmm...okay," Luffy agreed.

"Yeah about that...I don't mind having the pretty red haired on board but...even with my memories I doubt I'd feel safe traveling with a pirate hunter," Sanji said.

"Yeah, especially one as infamous as Zoro...we're pirates ourselves, he could turn us in while we sleep," Usopp agreed.

"Zoro won't do that," Connor defended "He's not really a pirate hunter,"

"Connors right, Zoro is my Nakma, he won't betray us," Luffy agreed.

"But he has a record of beating strong pirates," Usopp claimed.

"I know, that's why I asked him to join in the first place," Luffy smiled.

"Plus he was only doing that to get by...you like paying for food and stuff," Connor added "and most of the time the pirates he hunted attacked him first,"

"Still...it's worrying to have someone so dangerous around...if we get high bounties we will be his next target," Usopp said.

"Luffy already has a 100 million belie bounty on his head," Robin supplied "and I am wanted for 78 million...though that may have gone up recently,"

"HE'S GOT A WHAT?!" Sanji, Usopp and Chopper yelled in shock.

"Yeah and Zoro's got a 60 million belie bounty too," Connor added.

"WHAT THE HELL KIND OF MONSTERS ARE YOU PEOPLE?!" Usopp yelled.

"What about me...surly I must have a huge bounty too and a handsome wanted poster," Sanji asked eagerly.

"No sorry, you don't have a single Belli on your head," Robin claimed.

"Nooo….how will the ladies of the world know me if I don't have handsome bounty poster?" Sanji sighed in disappointment.

"WHY ARE YOU SO DISSAPOINTED? NOT HAVING A WANTED POSTER IS A GOOD THING!" Usopp yelled.

"Do you have a bounty too?" Chopper asked Connor.

"Me no I don't and neither do you," Connor answered "though I have often wondered what I would be known as,"

"I bet it will be something to do with your age...after all I am known as the Devil's child and I got that when I was 8," Robin claimed.

"YOU'RE THE SPAWN OF SATAN?!" Usopp freaked out.

"No and I don't have the 666 number mark on me either; it's just what I was labelled when I got my first bounty," Robin claimed 'I wish they would change it, I am an adult now after all,"

"Why would 666 number mark matter?" Connor asked.

"It's supposedly the mark of the Devil, if a child has it they will bring about the destruction of all humanity…or so the story goes," Robin explained.

"Hmm…Maybe we should check Luffy for that mark then," Connor joked.

Robin chuckled at that.

"You know Connor I bet your Pirate Name will be something amazing...like...um...Big Meat Hunter," Luffy declared.

"I hope it's not that...it would probably be something to do with my eyes," Connor said.

"What's wrong with your eyes?" Sanji asked.

"Connor's got a special sight, his eyes glow yellow when he uses it," Robin explained.

"Seriously?" Sanji asked.

"Great even the kid has something freaky about him," Usopp sighed.

"My sight is not freaky," Connor shot back offended.

"Hey...can you see through walls?" Sanji asked with a perverted look on his face.

"Umm...no I can't see through walls," Connor stated.

"Really...what about clothes?" Sanji asked.

"NO!" Connor yelled turning a bit red.

"Oh so we can't call you Yellow Eyed Sneak-a-Peek," Sanji said.

"Don't give him a pirate name," Usopp scolded "why are you even discussing this?"

"I wonder what my pirate name will be?" Chopper said.

"Don't you start too," Usopp moaned.

"Cool Seven Transforming Reindeer," Luffy said.

"Emrgancy Food Supply," Sanji claimed.

"LIKE HELL!" Chopper shot back angrily.

"Getting back on track, we don't need Zoro he's to dangerous to keep on board and you will have to get a new first mate," Usopp said.

"No Zoro's the first mate and Nami's the navigator. We're not going anywhere until there back with us," Luffy said.

"Couldn't you just get new one's?" Sanji asked.

"Yeah, I'd make a great first mate," Usopp said proudly "after all I'm a brave sea warrior,"

"No, I don't want new ones I want them," Luffy said "and we're not leaving this Island without them,"

"Sanji don't bother," Connor advised.

"Luffy is right, after all Nami has the only tool capable of navigating the Grand Line safely," Robin agreed "without it we will become lost and eventually die from starvation, dehydration or be eaten by the sea monsters that inhabit these waters,"

"Your way to morbid," Usopp commented.

"Anyway, I'm going back to bed," Luffy said with a yawn "It's late and I'm tired,"

"Hold on...won't we lose our memories if we go to sleep?" Chopper asked.

"I don't think that kid will come back tonight so we should be safe," Robin claimed.

"Still...what if he does?" Usopp asked.

"I'll stay up," Connor offered.

"Huh...you sure?" Luffy asked.

"Yeah I'm normally up most of the night any way. I don't mind," Connor said "Plus I haven't been able to get to sleep lately so I may as well do something,"

"Okay, I'll trust you to keep watch then," Luffy smiled "Night,"

"Hey hang on...you're going to let the kid stand guard?" Usopp asked wordily "what if something happens?"

"He can handle it," Luffy claimed and he opened the hatch to the men's quartes and went below deck.

"Connor would you like some compony?" Robin asked.

"Nah, you haven't slept since yesterday. You should rest," Connor answered.

"Alright," Robin said and she headed to the cabin.

Sanji, Usopp and Chopper were a bit hesitant to go to bed and leave Connor alone on deck. So they decided to stay up with him and help Connor keep watch and keep him company...but like before they fell asleep. Chopper and Usopp were the first to fall asleep and Sanji followed not long after; Connor got the blankets from the kitchen and covered them so they would not be cold.

He watched them sleep for a bit with a smile before returning to his watch.

At the Inn

Nami was taking a bath; she had spent all day and trying to make sense of the situation. When she had arrived at the Inn the people working there did not seem to know what they we're doing or who was in charge; when Nami had asked for a room an old man who she assumed was the owner had not known what she meant or where the keys were.

Nami had found the keys herself and picked one out and used that room. She had picked one of the more bigger and luxuries rooms that had a bath and a view of the Island.

Nami sat in the bath and was thinking about what she had read in the journal.

"I don't get it...the date on the newspaper is two days after the last entry in that Journal and that is defiantly my hand writing, my picture and the oranges from my Island," Nami said to herself.

She looked at her shoulder where her Arlong Pirates Tattoo was supposed to be.

"Then there is this Tattoo...what happened to the one Arlong gave me?" Nami asked "I hope my absence hasn't caused trouble for the village...I wonder if Arlong thinks I've run off," she continued.

Nami thought about her home Island and her sister for a bit.

"And...then there is what that book said about that kid on board...I can't just leave him at those pirates hands," Nami claimed "But can I really risk going back for him?"

Nami sat in the bath thinking on what she should do next, she could not stay on this Island and she did need a ship to get home but it appeared the only one available was the pirate ship. Nami had had enough of pirates and while she had no issues about stealing gold and money from them she had never stolen the actual ship before.

Nami decided to put off deciding what to do until the morning; she got out of her bath and went to bed; though she did not go to sleep until the early hours of the morning.

Going Merry, just off shore

The next morning everyone woke up and we're relived that they still had all their memories; it appeared that the kid who had taken them in the first place had not come back after his encounter with Luffy. After breakfast Robin maneuverered the Merry into harbour and the crew disembarked, Luffy was eager to find not only Zoro and Nami but also that kid with the sea horse again, once in the village.

Because it was fairly early in the morning no one had come out of their homes so the crew went knocked on everyone's door to ask if they had seen either Nami or Zoro. However they were only met with hostility and it did not take long to realise that the village was also having Memory problems as well.

"Well this sucks," Usopp complained "No one seems to know if Nami passed through here,"

"She had to, it's the closest town," Luffy claimed "How will she have gotten meat if she didn't stop here?"

"She didn't come here for meat," Usopp stated.

"Luffy's endless hunger aside I am sure Nami is here somewhere...she's not one to act without thinking and always takes time to think situations through," Robin stated.

Suddenly Connor ran up to the group, he like the others had been talking to people and trying to get information out of the villagers on Nami.

"Robin...that guy doesn't know his name," Connor said and pointed to the man he had just spoken too.

Robin looked up at the man he was pointing at carefully.

"And that lady doesn't even know if the baby she's holding is hers," Connor continued "She said she just found it and decided to look after it,"

"That is very odd indeed," Robin agreed.

"Do you think everyone in this village has had their memories stolen too?" Connor asked.

"I would say that that is a very strong possibility," Robin agreed.

"Huh...these people have memory problems too?" Luffy asked.

"But this is terrible...how will we find the butcher to buy meat if the butcher doesn't know he's supposed to sell meat?"

"If that's the case then asking around for a beautiful red headed angel is pointless," Sanji said.

"Have you been using that to describe Nami to the villagers?" Usopp asked.

"Of course," Sanji claimed and his eyes turned into hearts "though it does not do her justice as one cannot simply use mere words to describe such heavenly beauty,"

"You're an Idiot," Usopp stated.

Robin had decided to head off to see if she could find any local information and records of the Island while the rest of the crew looked around. As they were wandering around they found Nami, Luffy was excited to see her again however Nami saw them and instantly tried to flee on the Waver to get away from the Pirates as she misinterpreted the situation and believed the crew had come to retrieve the gold she had stolen. Unfortunately for Nami she didn't get very far as Luffy had regained his memories and knew where the brakes on the Waver were. He stretched out his arm after her and used them before he and the rest of his crew ran over to her.

"Nami where are you going? Why did you run away from me?" Luffy asked.

"Stay back...I'm not giving you my gold even if I die," Nami declared.

"Huh...what's gotten into you?" Luffy asked.

"She doesn't know who you are remember," Connor reminded "and she hates pirates,"

"Oh yeah...I forgot," Luffy laughed.

"DON'T JOKE ABOUT THAT!" Usopp and Chopper yelled.

"Hurt you? There is no way we would hurt beautiful women like you," Sanji said "I won't lay a single finger on you nor will I let any of these morons touch you,"

Nami breathed a sigh of relief; at least she had one ally.

"Unless you let me of course," Sanji said and his eyes turned to hearts.

Nami backed away from the cook a bit; she suddenly did not feel safe around him.

"Is he sick or something?" Usopp asked "Chopper you're supposed to be a doctor right...can't you do something?"

"It's true that he's sick...but there is no cure for him," Chopper responded.

The crew managed to convince Nami to sit down with them and they explained everything they knew along with how Luffy got his memories back. Even though Nami did not believe any of it she still listened and once the crew had finished explaining Nami then turned to Luffy.

"You're the captain right, let's make a deal. if you take me back home on your ship I'll give you one tenth of this treasure," Nami offered.

Connor looked at Sanji.

"Is that a lot?" He asked.

"No it's barely anything," the cook answered.

"No," Luffy answered.

"How about two tenths," Nami said.

Connor looked at Sanji.

"That's only a just a bit more than last time," Snaji claimed.

"No," Luffy answered.

"Ugg...Three tenths?" Nami asked.

"That's a bit better," Sanji claimed as Connor was still looking at him for answers.

"No," Luffy repeated.

"Ughhhh I'm going to die here...how about we split it fifty-fifty?"

"That's half or an equal share," Sanji claimed.

"Half...Chopper quick you need to give Nami a check-up right now," Connor said urgently to the doctor "She must be getting sick again,"

"Huh?" Nami asked.

"Why would you think she's getting sick?" Chopper asked.

"Nami would never offer to give half her treasure away, there must be something very wrong with her," Connor claimed.

As they were talking Robin came back and joined the group.

"Oh you found Nami...good job," Robin said as she approached.

"Hi Robin," Luffy greeted.

"Robin Nami's really sick...she might be in danger of dying again," Connor said worriedly.

"Wait what does he mean again?" Nami asked, though no one seemed to notice.

"Why would you say that?" Robin asked confused.

"She offered to spit the gold equally with Luffy," Connor claimed.

"Oh dear that dose sound serious," Robin agreed.

"There is nothing wrong with me!" Nami yelled annoyed "How much do you need until your satisfied?"

"Nami there is no way you'd part with any of that gold. You love treasure to much," Luffy claimed "even if I did agree to your terms you would find a way to get away with all of it,"

Nami looked surprised.

"How do you know how I think?" Nami demanded.

"You mean you were going to swindle us?" Usopp asked.

"It doesn't matter this negotiation is over," Nami said, she tuned the waver in the opposite direction and started it up. Luffy however got in the way and blocking her.

"Move," Nami demanded.

"No," Luffy replied "You have to come with us,"

"Why?" Nami asked.

"Because we're Nakama," Luffy claimed.

"Don't make me laugh, I hate Pirates you lie and cheat...and take everything of value," Nami claimed "I would never ever want to be part of any crew let alone yours,"

"Nami haven't you noticed the strange atmosphere in this village and how none of the villagers remember anything?" Robin asked.

"Umm...sure but..." Nami answered hesitantly.

"Did you find something out Robin?" Luffy asked.

"Yes, this village is suffering from stolen memories as well and I know the source of the problem as well as how to get everyone's memories back," Robin claimed.

"You mean that kid with weird flute from last night?" Usopp asked.

"He's part of it, but he is not the one taking everyone's memories. If we want to find the true culprit we'll need to go to the Temple of the Sea God," Robin claimed.

"Temple of the Sea God?" Nami asked.

"It's an ancient temple in the forest on the other side of the Island," Robin claimed.

"Will our memories be there?" Sanji asked.

"I believe they will yes," Robin answered.

"Awesome lets go then," Luffy said excitedly "This is going to be fun,"

"No way I'm not going anywhere with...HEY LET ME GO!" Nami cried as Luffy grabbed her wrist and started to drag her along.

"Adventure, Adventure, Adventure," Luffy cheered as he walked off pulling Nami along

"I'll carry your luggage for you," Sanji said and he picked up the bag of gold.

Robin, Connor, Usopp and Chopper followed them.

Elsewhere

Zoro sat in front of a campfire cooking a comically large fish that he had caught. He had woken up both hungry and confused and no idea of where he was or how he got out here. The last thing he remembered was talking to his teacher about leaving his home Island to pursue his dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman.

His teacher had given him his blessing and Zoro had decided to visit the grave of his long dead friend and rival before leaving in the morning...however when he woke up he was in an unknown place and two of his swords had been replaced. He still had his treasured white Katana that had belonged to his friend who had died but the other two were different.

Zoro did not panic about the odd situation, he was near a river so he had dived in and caught something to eat. Once it was cooked and he began to eat it; about half way through his breakfast Zoro herd rustling and Dirm walked out of the bushes.

"Hey you're okay," Drim said.

"Huh...do I know you kid?" Zoro asked.

Drim shook his head.

"No but I saw you get dumped here yesterday," Dirm said.

"By who?" Zoro asked.

"I don't know...some pirates I think. I hid because I didn't want to be discovered," Drim claimed.

"Pirates huh...I suppose that is possible," Zoro mused "did they say anything?"

"Um...not really," the boy answered.

"Pity...I don't suppose you know who those pirates were?" Zoro asked.

"No, I was just passing by when I stumbled upon them. Don't you know who they were?" Dirm asked.

"No I don't remember anything about them or how I even got out here," Zoro claimed.

"Oh...that's too bad," Drim said with an evil smile.

"Yeah, but the only thing I can do is move forward," Zoro said "I've never been one to

"I know a neat trick that will help...or supposed to help with lost memories," Dirm said.

Dirm blew into his sea horse flute and Zoro gripped his head in pain, the sea horses eyes glowed as Drim played the flute. Zoro withered in pain and once Drim stopped playing the fruit Zoro's pain disappeared.

"Are you okay mister?" Drim asked.

"Yeah...I don't know what you did but I remember everything," Zoro said.

"Oh? How did you get out here?" Drim asked.

"Those pirates...they kidnapped me and forced me to work on their ship. They broke my swords, tortured me and when they were done they dumped me out here," Zoro hissed angrily.

"I'm sorry to hear that," Drim said without any sympathy in his voice "what will you do now?"

"Find the one who did this and kill him," Zoro declared.

"And who is the one who hurt you?" Drim asked.

"Monkey D. Luffy," Zoro claimed "I will find him and end him,"

Drim smiled.

"You're in luck, I saw them heading into the forest earlier this morning...if you like I can take you to the path they're on," Drim offered "although I doubt this pirates crew would just let you kill their captain...they may intervene to stop you and protect him,"

"That is not a problem," Zoro said "If any of them get in the way I will kill them too,"

Drims smile grew wider.

"Well then, I'll show you where they went," Drim claimed. He turned and walked back into the underbrush and Zoro followed eagerly tightening his bandana on his head.

Forest Path

Robin was leading the Straw Hats on a path into the forest at the back of the Island. The Island was not that big so it did not take the crew very long to get to the forest...though it was a bit of a hike due to it all being up hill. At the edge of the forest Robin found some old acent writing on a stone marker and the crew stopped for a bit so she could read it.

Once she was done they continued on their way into the forest and onto the Temple of the Sea God. As they were walking through the forest Nami started to get nervous.

'They brought me all the way out here...why...wait are they going to kill me and bury my body somewhere out here in an unmarked grave and run off with my gold?' Nami thought.

Sanji seemed to pick up on Nami's nervinessness, he turned to her.

"Don't worry your safe with us," He said with a creepy smile and gave her a thumbs up.

This did not help as it made the navigator even more nervous.

'I knew it they are planning something,' Nami thought.

Soon they started to pass what looked like old and broken stone pillars. It made the peaceful forest give off a very unsettling vibe, especially since the crew knew that the one who stole their memories was likely nearby.

"I don't like this place...it gives me the creeps," Chopper claimed.

"Yeah maybe that kid has some HUGE monster he keeps as a guard," Usopp claimed.

"What a monster?" Chopper panicked.

"Yeah...I remember fighting them all the time out at sea," Usopp lied.

"You remember...you have your memories back too?" Chopper asked.

"No but you never forget something that sneaks up on you and jumps out of the bushes when you least expect it," Usopp continued.

"R...R...Really...Is that going to happen?" Chopper asked fearfully.

"That's right the monster is something so unsuspecting that by the time you figure out what it is...it's already too late," Usopp said in a grim and low tone.

Suddenly the bushes behind them rustled and something came out scaring both Usopp and Chopper.

"NOOOOOOO I DON'T WANT TO DIEEEE!" Chopper and Usopp cried out.

The group looked and saw that it was only Zoro, he had his white katana drown and looked very very angry.

"Calm down it's not a monster just Zoro," Connor said.

"Is it just me or dose he seem…different from before?" Sanji asked.

"Perhaps he's realised how much Luffy and I are worth and come to collect our bounties?" Robin asked with a straight face.

"THAT'S NOT MUCH BETTER!" both Chopper and Usopp yelled.

"Hi Zoro, guess what I got my memories back and..." Luffy didn't finish that sentence as Zoro suddenly attacked him with his sword. Luffy managed to avoid the strike.

"Hey what was that for?" Luffy demanded.

"You…this is all your fault," Zoro hissed and attacked Luffy again.

Luffy jumped up into a tree to get away from the swordsman.

"Oi Zoro stop it...that's dangerous," Luffy tired.

Zoro however walked to the base of the tree and cut it down in one swing. The tree fell towards the group and they had to run further up the hill to avoid being crushed. Luffy pulled himself out of the tree and he sat up to see Zoro already lunging towards him with his blade aiming directly at Luffy's heart.

Suddenly Connor was in front of him and blocked the blow with his own sword; despite the power behind the strike Connor managed to hold his ground. Zoro tilted his head in confusion and stepped back.

"Move," Zoro demanded.

"No, I won't let you hurt him," Connor declared definitely.

"Get out of my way you little brat," Zoro repeated harshly.

Connor flinched at the tone but did not move.

"Connor maybe you should..." Luffy started.

"No something is clearly wrong with Zoro," Connor claimed.

Luffy stood up and looked at his first mate and he could tell there was something wrong with him.

"Yeah but..." Luffy started but Zoro took another swing at the captain and Connor blocked the blow again.

"He's targeting you, I'll hold him here you go get to the temple and get everyone's memories back," Connor said.

"I can't leave you here Zoro is strong and serious... he's not holding back. You've never beaten him and this isn't like your training sessions," Luffy warned.

"I know...but I can do this," Connor said seriously.

Luffy stared at Connor for a moment, he could order the boy to run, he could make him stop and fight Zoro while Connor and the others go and find the kid with the sea horse horn. But Luffy could also see the determination in Connors eyes and Luffy and the crew had never seen in him this determined before and he had no desire to quash that determination by making the boy leave.

"Okay, I'll leave it to you," Luffy said "let's go guys,"

He then turned and ran up the hill.

"Wait we're just going to leave him?" Usopp asked.

"Don't worry he can handle this," Luffy assured "besides do you want to stay here with them or get your memories back?"

The rest of the crew were hesitant for a moment and but they all followed him up the hill; Robin was the last one to go taking one last look at Connor and praying the boy would be alright before following Luffy and the others.

Zoro watched the others run off and then he looked at Connor who was still blocking his way.

"Move aside boy," Zoro warned "or you're going to get hurt,"

"No, if you want Luffy you have to go through me first," Connor declared definitely and pointed his sword at Zoro.

"That's fine by me," Zoro said and he drew his other two swords.
