"You know you're my girl."

(Charasuke, Sakura. Unedited. A random mix of thoughts I had. So if it doesn't flow together, I'm sorry!)

He flicked her nose and the girl giggled flirtatiously, twirling a strand of long blonde around her polished fingers as she listened intently to the words coming from his upturned lips while he placed both hands into his pockets. Sakura rolled her eyes for the uptenth time at them, completely annoyed by the pair, while she tried her hardest to ignore them both and continue on with her grocery shopping.

'What did I ever see in that man-whore anyway?! He's just a pretty face, nothing more. I feel sorry for the woman who will become his wife in the future. I'm sure that he'll gladly cheat on her. She won't deserve it. Damned flirty bastard.'

She glanced down at her list and let out a low groan when she realized that the last remaining items she would need, happened to be near Sasuke and his latest conquest. She plucked up some courage (and held her head high) as she breezed past them…making sure to bump Sasuke roughly with her shoulder when he refused to move and allow her to pass by freely. He chuckled at this, but the blonde didn't find it so amusing and scowled in disgust.

"Excuse you…," the young woman on his right called after her in a fury, but the pinkette ignored her and grabbed the rest of her things before heading toward the checkout. She greeted the old woman there kindly and thanked her after she bagged up her things before taking her leave.

As she walked down the street, she felt a strong presence behind her and let out a deep sigh of annoyance when she recognized who it was. "Go away, Sasuke."

He remained silent for a moment and came up next to her, walking beside her with his hands planted firmly inside his pockets. "You don't have to be jealous, love" he said while nudging her playfully on the shoulder. Sakura scoffed and began to pick up her pace. "Really, I mean it, Kitten." This time, she rolled her eyes and turned away from him a bit; trying for a smidge of distance between them.

"You don't have to try and explain yourself to me, Sasuke. You're a grown ass man who can do whatever he wants." She scowled and flipped her hair over her shoulder when it blew into her face. "You don't owe me anything, so just let it go."

"I won't because you're angry with me," he insisted, sliding closer to her. "That girl means nothing to me. I act the way that I do because it's the only time that I can ever even get you to notice me." But the pink-haired wasn't having it with his excuses. Why should she care anyway?

It's not like they've ever put a label on anything when they were seeing each other. It's not as if she gave a fuck who he spent his free time with, now that she'd stopped inviting him over after their team dinners, or after a late shift at the hospital when she needed something to help release a bit of her pent up frustration on. It's not like she ever really felt anything for the man other than pure lust. It's not like she'd fall in love with—

That is where she stopped her line of thinking, and began to fish for her keys when they stepped up to her front door; with Sasuke a few paces behind her. "Kitten, I—"

"Stop with that stupid nickname! Stop following me! Just… leave me alone!" As soon as the lock clicked and she had nudged it open with her foot, he reached for her bags and pushed his way past her, making a bee-line for her kitchen and placed them gently on the counters. "What the hell?! I thought I said—"

"I heard you… loud and clear," he said calmly, turning and walking slowly towards her; like a wild predator stalking its prey. Unconsciously, Sakura began to back away until she was pressing her back against the wall and he came up to her, caging her in with both hands resting on either side of her head. She seemed to have lost the earlier fight within her and her eyes widened as he leaned down, his thin lips brushing across her cheeks before pressing against her ear. "But until you stop having this type of reaction around me, I won't be so easy to get rid of. I know how you really feel about me, and so I'm willing to wait as long as it takes, Kitten, to have you again."

When his voice deepened, and his tongue tasted her skin, she couldn't help herself and let out a low strangled breath from the back of her throat. Sakura's eyes shut swiftly from embarrassment while her hands fisted at her sides. She tried telling herself to just breathe, to just ignore him, but it was easier said than done. "I… miss you…," he whispered softly as he nuzzled her skin, breathing her in. "I miss this."

Why did she continue to allow him to do this to her? Why did she have to be so easily swayed by his charms? Why did she still have to like him so damn much? Why— just… why?! His lips trail down to her neck and she finally snaps.

Feeling frustrated, Sakura finds the courage to shove him away from her (feeling like her cheeks were aflamed) and glares angrily at him as she grabs him roughly by his shirt collar. Ignoring his protests, she quickly shoves him back out the front door, and when he turns around to face her, with a small smirk on his lips, and opens his mouth to say something, she quickly and promptly slammed the door in his face before locking it… effectively ending the moment before things could have (probably would have) escalated further.

For now at least she'd keep him at a distance.

But just three days later—

Sakura crossed her arms and turned her back on him in an angry huff, avoiding the accusations and his knowing smirk. He placed his hands in his pockets and moved until he was just a few inches away from her; chest to back. He bent down slightly, towering over her due to his height until his breath fanned against her right ear. Sakura grew flush from his close proximity, and tried her best to even out her breathing to give nothing away of her nervousness.

"Don't be like that, Kitten," he whispered against her skin, so close that his lips brushed against her flesh with each word spoken. He practically purred, "You know you're my girl," and she couldn't help the involuntary shiver that ran down her back; causing goosebumps to break out across her arms. "You have nothing to worry about. I only do it to keep you on your toes. I love seeing your jealous side. It's so sexy."

"I am not jealous."

"No? Then should I ask her to come back to my place… or perhaps you'd like for me to come back to yours instead?" Sakura's cheeks turned several shades darker, and trying to hide her emotions she simply shrugged and began to walk away from him.

"Do what you want."

But even saying that, she knew that he'd eventually follow her home. He would choose her after a little bit of teasing.

He always did.
