A.n I own Nothing

Sorry for the late update. I have had some trouble with my computer and I lost the 3 chapters I wrote for this story while I was on holiday and it was really hard to get motivated to rewrite them. Anyway, next chapter will be the last one for the Water 7 arc and then it's onto Enis Lobby.

On the Sea Train

Sanji stood on the small platform just off the side of the door leading into the caboose. The door had a small circle window and Sanji had no desire to be seen by those inside. He was trying to come up with a way of sneaking in without being seen if he knew which passenger car Robin was in. He could easily get to it by walking on the roof of the train. However, since he did not know where Robin was his only option was to search each car.

Unfortunately, that would alert those inside and Sanji had no desire to let the various Marines and Government agents that were on board that he had stowed away. Sanji pulled out a cigarette and his lighter, he tried to light the tobacco but the heavy wind and rain was preventing it from igniting.

"Damn weather," Sanji cursed.

He was in the middle of thinking about how best to proceed when the door opened and a large Marine walked out with a lantern. Sanji looked up at the Marnie and the Marine looked down at him.

"Hey, can I use that?" Sanji asked as he held out his cigarette and pointed to the lantern "Mine doesn't work in this weather,"

"Oh here," the Marine said and opened the lantern.

Sanji very carefully put the end of his cigarette in the small flame and let the firelight it. He pulled the tobacco stick out and put it in his mouth and took a long drag.

"You know smoking is bad for you right," the marine claimed as he closed the lantern.

"I know, I've cut down a lot recently," Sanji responded "But I've been doing it too long and I can't just give it up,"

"When did you start,"

"Started when I was eleven...or was it twelve. I forget,"

"Why did you start smoking so young?"

"An old geezer said smoking was only for a real man, I guess I just wanted to prove I was one,"

"He was probably just teasing or trying to dis-sway you from the habit,"

"Well, that backfired on him big time didn't it,"

"Do you mind me asking, why are you cutting down. I mean if you've been doing it for so long surely it must be hard,"

"It is, but we got a kid, he's not much older than me when I started smoking and I don't really want him picking up any bad habits," Sanji explained "so I smoke at night when he's in bed or when he's not around,"

"That's considerate of you," the marine said and he turned back to the door "Don't stay out here too long, you'll catch a cold and you wouldn't want your kid to worry would you,"

Sanji merely shrugged in response and the Marnie walked back inside and closed the door.

"Huh...nice guy," Sanji commented.

A second later the door flew open again and the marine came back out with anger and suspicion all over his face.

"Hey wait...who are you?" the marine demanded as he went for his sword.

However, the blade was never drawn and Sanji swiftly kicked the marine in the stomach sending him flying into the raging storm. The rest of the Marines in the car turned and stared at him.

"So much for the element of surprise," Sanji sighed and he walked inside and shut the door behind him.

As soon as stepped in the entire room filled with Marines charged at him, it took Sanji less than a minute to incapacitate them. The train cars were closed confined space, lined with double seats and not very much room to maneuver. That was perfect for Sanji's close-range fighting style.

Once Sanji was the only one left standing he searched all the pockets of the Marines before he opened and emptied all the suitcases and bags in the car. Finding nothing of interest Sanji headed to the north end and walked out the door heading for the next passenger car.

Sanji walked into the next car calmly, this car was filled with government agents and all of them were wearing matching black suits with fedora hats and black ties. Everyone turned their heads to look at Sanji as he strolled down the aisle as he belonged. No one got in his way and no one stood up to stop him; they just watched him.

When he got to front one agent leaned over to another.

"Hey who's that guy?" the first whispered.

"Don't know, might be that new CP9 agent," the other responded.

At the very front of the car, there was an agent who was securing and watching some Cargo, he stood in front of two large sacks. The agent heard Sanji approach and turned to greet him thinking it was one of his friends. However, upon seeing Sanji, his grin faded.

"Hey who are you?" The agent demanded.

Sanji stopped and looked at the man without responding.

"Boss that's the new CP9 member, the one that just joined a few days ago," one of the agents in the room spoke up.

"Idiots, all of us including CP9 are wearing appropriate uniform," the head agent scolded "He's clearly an intud..."

the head agent didn't finish as Sanji kicked him crashing into the wall. The rest of the agents instantly got up and tried to capture him but like the previous car, Sanji swiftly dispatched them.

"I wonder, everyone who works for the government this dumb and gullible?" Sanji pondered.

Sanji's answer came in the form of two government agents whose movements and speech was completely in sync with each other. They also looked exactly alike and Sanji could instantly tell that these two agents were twins.

Upon seeing the Straw Hat cook the twins began to show off their swords with a display of moves that were completely in sync with each other and they both swiped at the pirate cook at the same time. Sanji jumped out of the way but the twins cut his cigarette in half.

"How's that?" the twins asked together "fighting two people is harder than fighting one,"

Sanji's response was he jumped onto his hands kicked both twins under the chin at the same time with enough force to send their heads through the roof to the train where they just hung there; taking them both out at once.

"Basterds, I hadn't finished smoking that," he commented as he lit another cigarette.

He then turned and looked at the cargo and the sack moved, they were heavily bound in rope and the sack that moved sat up reviled to be Usopp.

"Sanji...what are you doing here?" Usopp asked in surprise.

"I could ask you the same thing...Mister-I've-never-seen-you-before," Sanji said.

Usopp frowned.

"You did that on purpose," he grumbled.

The other sack moved and sat up revealed to be Franky.

"Huh, what's going on? Who's this guy?" Franky asked.

"Who's that? is he with you?" Sanji asked.

"Um...sort of," Usopp responded, a little unsure.

Sanji let out a sigh and then he spotted some Den-Den Muchis on a nearby bar area. He instantly forgot about Usopp and the other captive and went over to them.

"Finally, now I can call Nami-san," Sanji said happily.

"Nami?" Usopp asked.

"So are you two pirate Nakama?" Franky asked.

"Former," both Usopp and Sanji said at the same time.

"Anyway who exactly are you? not someone Usopp tricked with his unbelievable lies I hope," Sanji said.

"HEY!" Usopp shouted.

"I'm the face of Water 7's underground. Franky the dismantler," Franky introduced.

Sanji swiftly kicked him in the face.

"What was that for?" Franky shouted back.

"You piece of Shit, do you know how much trouble you caused us. How many slices do you want to be cut into?" Sanji yelled.

"Hey you bastard don't just go kicking people in the face, it's rude,"

"Your one to talk,"

"Any way Bro, I need you to untie these ropes so..."

"Why should I help you? After everything you've done you deserve whatever the government does to you,"

"Why you...when I get out of these ropes..."

"Well you won't now will you,"

"Sanji calm down, he helped me and saved the Merry from..." Usopp tried and then he realised what he was saying.

"Oh that's right...the Merry's gone now," Usopp said sadly.

"Gone...how can it be gone?" Sanji demanded, "You had it for one day?"

"There was this big storm and Merry got swept out to sea," Usopp said "If I knew it was coming I would have found a safer place for the Merry,"

"Huh...wait you mean didn't know it was coming?" Sanji asked in surprise.

"Of course not," Usopp claimed.

"But...But Chopper and I...we warned you," Sanji said.

"When?"

"Earlier this morning, we shouted a warning from a distance,"

Usopp thought back to earlier that morning, he didn't remember anyone shouting any warnings at him...although he did remember some strange yelling that he could not quite make out.

"Wait that was you guys, what the hell were you doing back at the Merry!" Usopp demanded "You abandoned it,"

"We weren't supposed to be there...Chopper and I just...diddn't want you getting caught up in the storm unaware," Sanji said "we were worried about you,"

"Hold on, don't tell me you came on this train after me out of some kind of pity," Usopp demanded.

"Of course not, Robin-chan is on the train. I'm here for her," Sanji declared "Who would rescue your dumb ass?"

"ROBINS ON THIS TRAIN TOO!" Usopp yelled, "WHY?!"

Sanji sat down and explained everything that had happened since Luffy and Usopp's fight. Usopp had no Idea that Robin had left the crew as well and when he asked for her reasons Sanji claimed that she never gave him a straight answer. Though after seeing Robin board this train with all the government agents he suspected that they might have something to do with it.

Once he was finished, Usopp looked torn. On one hand, he agreed with Sanji and that from what he had just been told it Usopp fully agreed with the cook; Robins recent actions sounded very out of character and he wanted to help. However, on the other hand, he had already left the Straw Hats and therefore he had no right or business helping with whatever was wrong with Robin.

Franky, however, was moved by Sanji's dedication to

"This Robin...is that Nico Robin?" Franky asked.

"Yeah, it is," Sanji answered.

"Why the hell are you here for her?! You know she's an evil devil who can not be trusted right?" Franky asked.

Sanji kicked him in the face again.

"Say something like that again about Robin-chan and I'll kill you," Sanji warned darkly.

"SHE SHOT ICEBERG!" Franky shouted back "AND SHE WILL DESTROY THE WORLD IF GIVEN THE CHANCE!"

"Huh...what are you talking about?" Sanji asked in confusion.

"Yeah, Robin can be morbid and even scary at times. But there is no way she could or would ever destroy the world," Usopp agreed.

Franky looked between the two of them.

"Wait...you don't know...you guys really don't know do you?" he said.

"Know what?" Usopp asked.

"Nothing...forget it," Franky said.

"Now you're the one acting wired," Usopp commented.

"I WILL NOT FORGET IT!" Sanji yelled.

"Oi Sanji, keep it down or the Marines will here you," Usopp warned.

Sanji sighed, he knew Usopp was right and with all the shouting the three had down he had little doubt that those in the next car had to herd them and would be on their way to check what was going on. Even with the noise of the train and the storm outside. Sanji untied Usopp, he didn't owe the sniper anything but he was not going to just leave him to the mercy of the government.

He told Usopp to hide somewhere until the Train turned around and headed back to Water 7, before taking one of the Den-Den music and climbing out the window onto the roof of the train.

Sanji did not want to be disturbed while he was making his call to Nami. Even if the Marines in the next car hadn't heard them shouting, the cook was sure they would come and check on their two captives.

Once Usopp was free he freed Franky as well and the two followed him onto the roof. Since Sanji was calling Nami for an update Usopp wanted to know if the rest of the crew had learned anything new on Robins situation. Franky, however, wanted to ask the rest Straw Hat something...though he neglected to tell Sanji that.

To avoid being found during the call or being overheard Sanji opened a nearby window and climbed out onto the top of the train. Even with the heavy wind and rain, the cook was not that bothered by the weather; plus it seemed to be far more bearable than what it had been at when the train had left Water 7.

Sanji rang died the number of the Den-Den Mushi he had left for Nami. It rang a few times before Nami picked up. Sanji was immediately delighted to hear Nami's voice and Nami was equally relieved that Sanji was alright.

However, she did here some panic in the background and was confused about the noise. Usopp and Franky followed Sanji onto the roof, though Usopp needed help from Franky getting up and staying on the train roof. Sanji ignored the two while he focused on Nami's call.

"It's just an idiot," Sanji answered.

"Huh…an idiot?" Nami's voice asked.

Snaji looked back at both Usopp and Franky, he saw Franky was now sipping off the roof of the train and with Usopp struggling to hold him.

"Make that two idiots," Sanji said flatly.

"Two…whatever it doesn't matter. Robins in serious trouble, listen," Nami said and she explained what all the straw hats had learned from Iceberg and their investigations.

"I see….so that is what happened," Sanji said seriously.

"Yeah, I didn't make it to the station in time to tell Robin that we don't care about government threats," Nami said "The train left early due to the bad weather,"

"I see…"

"We're on a second Sea Train with some of the Galley-La workers and the Freaky Family," Nami claimed "we should catch up too you soon,"

"Nami…is Luffy there?" Sanji asked.

"Yeah hang on," Nami's voice said.

Sanji waited for a few seconds and the Nami to hand the snail over to Luffy.

"Snaji?" Luffy's voice came through.

"Hey, Captain…so in light of what's happened. I need your permission to go wild," Sanji said.

"Okay," Luffy said after a second of silence "have fun,"

"WHAT NO!" Zoro's voice came through "COOK DON'T DO SOMETHING STUPID THAT WILL GET BOTH YOU AND ROBIN KILLED,"

"He's right Sanji, we'll catch up soon so just wait and…" Nami's voice agreed.

"Zoro, Nami stop," Luffy's voice came through again "There is no point in stopping him, even if I said no Sanji would be unable to hold back,"

"It's true," Sanji agreed.

"Besides if it was one of you on that train instead of him…would you be able to stop yourself knowing what we know?" Luffy's voice asked.

When Sanji didn't get a response from either Zoro or Nami he assumed they agreed with Luffy. Sanji knew that if it were any of the other members of the straw hats that they would do everything they could to save Robin and Luffy knew that too.

Finally, Luffy's voice came through the snail phone again.

"Sanji….make them pay for taking Robin from us," Luffy ordered.

"Aye Aye captain," Sanji responded before crushing the receiver in his hand.

"OI WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" Franky suddenly yelled out "I WANTED TO ASK STRAWHAT SOMETHING!"

Both he and Usopp had been listening to Nami's explanation after readjusting themselves on the train.

"Well, why didn't you say something sooner?" Sanji demanded.

"I didn't want to interrupt your call as it was important," Franky shot back.

"Well you'll just have to ask them when they catch up," Sanji huffed.

"Speaking of…how are they going to catch up?" Usopp asked, "didn't Kokoro say that the sea train was the only one in the world?"

"Puffing tom is the only sea train in the world," Franky insisted "It's the only one that runs out of Water 7,"

"Apparently not, because they are on another one," Sanji claimed.

"No there is no other sea train apart from….wait…ARE THEY USING ROCKET MAN?!" Franky yelled in shock.

"Rocketman?" Usopp asked.

"It's a prototype Sea Train, but it was never used because it's broken don't work," Franky claimed "they never have and no matter what the creators did they could not get it to slow down once it had built up speed,"

"Wait so if they're using that…wouldn't that mean that they'll crash into us when they catch up?" Usopp asked.

"Yeah, they will….if they can make it through Aqua lagna first," Franky claimed.

"They will, in the meantime I am going to rescue Robin-chawn," Sanji declared.

"I'll help you too," Franky said enthusiastically.

"Huh, …you want to help?" Usopp asked.

"Of course, if what your Nakama said and your crew have allied with my men then that makes us allies too," Franky explained "and I would rather be allied with you lot than be the world governments, prisoner. Besides, after hearing that explanation how can I not want to help,"

"Thanks, but when this is over I am still kicking your ass for the trouble you caused our crew," Sanji warned.

"I wouldn't have it any other way bro," Farnaky smirked.

Snaji nodded and then turned to Usopp.

"How about it Usopp, you in?" he asked, "or is your I-can't- get-into-dangerous-situations-disease acting up again?"

Usopp stood up and looked at Sanji with a very serious expression in his eye. He completely ignored the teasing that Sanji was giving him.

"This is a straw hat's problem…and I'm not part of the crew anymore," Usopp reminded "Therefore I have no right or obligation to help you…but I will not hider you either,"

He then turned and walked to the other end of the train and stopped right before the gap between the car they were on and the one behind it. He glanced back at Sanji and Franky.

"Good luck though," he said before he jumped down.

Sanji let out a sigh.

'Maybe it's better this way,' Sanji thought 'after all Usopp is not the bravest person and he frequently struggles with fighting,'

"HEY THERE ON THE ROOF!" a new voice yelled.

Snapping out of his thoughts Sanji instantly faced the source of the new voice and saw a Marin was looking at them. He had climbed out of the window and poked his head above the train.

"CAPTIN THERE UP…." The marine started but was silenced as something explosive hit him in the face and he let go of the train and fell into the ocean below.

Sanji and Franky looked towards the end of the train to see a yellow made man in a what looked like a makeshift red cape standing there with a very log slingshot that was the same size as him. He wore Usopps clothes and bag under the cape and the sniper badges were in the same place as Usopps. He even had an Idenctiac set of goggles and long nose.

"Greetings, I here there is a woman in dire need of aid," the masked man said in a very heroic sounding voice.

Franky started at this stage newcomer in a mix of shock and confusion; Sanji however merely sighed and shook his head.

"What the….Usopp bro?" Franky asked.

"My name is not Usopp…My name is Sogeking," Sogeking introduced.
