S-Craft: That Won't Be Necessary! - Attack (Area S/M/L)

An attempt at summoning the Ashen Knight that will result in a random selection of Class VII members attacking the enemies in its stead; range and effects will vary.

Asuka rolled her eyes as Kou made the selection. "A little too on the nose, don't you think?"

"Yeah, way too meta for my taste. Kinda nice to see the writers are self-aware, though," Kou commented, watching the Ashen Chevalier dramatically call Valimar before being interrupted by Alisa, Machias, and Emma.

"... I wonder if it changes the victory quote."

"We'll find out."

Head Pats (Asuka, Alisa, Rean, Kou)

"And you say he does this to everyone?" Asuka repeated, looking more than a little unimpressed.

"Everyone," Alisa confirmed, with her Towa sheepishly nodding in affirmation. "It's like a compulsion at this point. I'm guessing Kou doesn't?"

"Oh no, he absolutely does. Maybe not to the same extent but that might be because the X.R.C. is smaller than Class VII. Less opportunity."

"That makes sense!"

"We're not gonna make it outta this alive, are we?" Kou observed wearily, looking up from his cards as the two girls kept on happily swapping stories.

Rean sighed. "Remains to be seen. Mirror."

"Goddammit."

Breakdown (Fidelio, Rex)

"Dare I ask what you're framing?" Fidelio asked.

Rex briefly looked away from his viewfinder to quickly jerk his head at the ranting and raving Munk, his smirk growing all the while.

"Abend Time got pre-empted this week, so no Misty for Munk. He's… not taking it well."

"I see that. And you're documenting this why, exactly?"

"Seriously? This is gold! You don't find material like this every day, y'know. Besides, wasn't it you who told me to stop taking photos of girls and – "

The firm hand on his shoulder silenced him instantly.

"… but uh, on second thought…"

Daylight (Gaius)

Gaius had always risen with the dawn. It would take more than a new set of surroundings to change that.

He eased his way out of bed and made his way to the window, his eyelids still heavy with sleep. Trista seemed so different in this early hour; with the streets deserted and silent, it was a far cry from the bustling town that had greeted him when he'd stepped off the train.

The golden light hung low on the horizon, just as it would have in Nord. He stood, watching, and for a moment it felt exactly like home.
