A/N WOW! It's been four years since i've updated this story. I broke my ankle three weeks and have been homebound since then. I logged into to read stories to pass the time. I found this story and began reading it. I WAS SO pissed at myself for not finishing this story. It was good. So I decided to take it upon myself to finish this story.
P.S I had to rewatch all Emison scenes prior to writing a new chapter and figure out a game plan. I don't think i never knew how i would continue this story hence why i probably did not finish. So for the sake of this, I'll finish this story.
After school, we all met up at The Brew. This is probably the first time in over a year,we have all hung out as a group. We were gathered around the table chatting about the possibility of who this person is.
"Whoever's messing with must have an agenda," I frowned, I placed my hand on my chin trying to figure out who it was. "This specific person must be angry at us."
"Guys, you are missing the big picture," Spencer snapped, her brown eyes fuming at us. "There's only one person that could hate us."
"Spence is right," Aria nodded in agreement. "The queen bee has an agenda. She went to jail and she's angry because we didn't save her ass."
Hanna rolled her eyes. "C'mon guys. She brought it on herself. The bitch deserved what she's gotten. And she possibly can't be mad at us.
After all, she's the one who decided to throw herself under the bus."
"So then are we all going to walk up to her and confront her?." I questioned.
"Honestly Emily, i don't want anything to do with her, "Spencer paused, took a deep breath and darted her eyes on me. "I think maybe you should be the one to talk to her. She was always the nicest to you."
The other two girls turned their heads on me waiting for me to respond. I shook my head in disagreement. "I uh don't think it's a great idea. We don't know for sure even if its her."
"There you go again," Spencer threw her hands up in frustration. "You always defend Alison and come up with every excuse in the book"
I turned to the others in desperation. But they said nothing and just stared at me. "I'm not defending Ali. I'm just saying Paige is not the only one we hurt."
"I mean Em has a point," Aria admitted. "Either way, we still need to confront those who are on our suspect list."
I rubbed my temples, my headache growing bigger. "I'll talk to Alison tomorrow."
Spencer smiled. "Thank you for taking one for the team."
When the late afternoon turned into early evening. We were all catching up with one another that we didn't notice the nightfall.
Spencer sipped the last of her drink and finally noticed that the coffee shop was nearly empty. She checked her watch and was surprised.
"Oh wow! It's 9pm, we have been talking for four hours."
Hanna chuckled at her statement. "It finally feels like old times."
'I have to admit, I do miss this," I revealed.
We all looked at each other and nodded in agreement silently. Aria grabbed the keys out of her purse. "I'll drive you girls home."
We all retrieved our belongings and left the restaurant and hopped into Aria's honda civic. Spencer sat in the front passenger seat while Hanna and i sat in the back.
A familiar song could be heard playing on the radio. I realized it was Super Bass by Nicki Minaj.
We all raised our voices and sang along to the song. We were in perfect unison just like our newly repatched friendship. When the song finished, we all burst out laughing so hard, our stomachs started to hurt. But then suddenly, we noticed a huge beam of light shined across our faces. I turned around and noticed a car speeding towards us
"Aria drive faster," I called out. "Someone Is tailgating you."
She listened to my directors and sped the car even faster. "Go 20 over and you'll get a speeding ticket" Spencer remarked.
"Now's not the time, Spence," I snapped nervously. "Why is this car driving like a maniac?"
"Shit" Aria cursed as she pressed her foot on the pedal. It seemed like each time we drove even faster, the car sped up even more."
"Fuck," She shouted as we all realized the car was on a mission to hit and was inches away. Suddenly, Aria swerved the car off the road while the car behind us drove past us. We all screamed as the car drove into a ditch and hit the tree. Aria managed to hit the brakes before the car could hit the tree even harder
"Nice move," Spencer remarked again, slightly freaked out. "You are so lucky no one's hurt."
"Spencer enough," I snapped at her in annoyance as she was starting to piss me off. "The most important thing is that we are all okay and no one is hurt. She did the best she possibly could."
"My dad's gonna kill me" Aria covered her face with her hands.
Suddenly all our phones started going. We retrieved it from our pockets, turned it on and we saw it was a message.
Close Call. Next time, you won't be so lucky-A
Our faces were bright in red as we all stared at each other and said in unison. "Alison"
It was a long night, we had to call the police and our parents to come pick us up. Luckily our parents were relieved that we were okay. Unfortunately for Aria, her parents removed her driving privileges and had to get a job to help cover the cost of the car repairs.
Spencer decided it was best that we all decided to go to school together every morning to make sure we were safe from A so we all piled up in her car and headed on our way to school.
The four of us walked together side by side as we entered the school buliding. Everyone noticed that the four of us were together for the first time in over a year. All we saw was hushed whispers and stares. In all honestly, we didn't care. We had better things to worry about.
At last, we all saw Alison Dilaurentis leaning against the locker with her four minions in tow. She was wearing a white glittery top and a satin rose gold blazer and skirt. Her eyes shifted from her minions to us. She crossed her arms, pursed her lips and stared at us.
"Let's go girls" Alison's expressions were cold as she stared at us. She motioned for her minions to walk away with her. We then huddled into a circle and wondered if we should hold the conversations last night.
Spooked by last night's encounter, Hanna asked worriedly. "Should Emily go talk to her?"
"It seems like she wants nothing to do with us." Aria commented.
"She tried to come talk to me yesterday," I admitted. "I put a stop to it right away."
"Em, i think you should really talk to her," Spencer said softly as she placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I'll go talk to her," I said , twirling my strands of nervously. "Its just not easy for me to walk up to an old friend and accuse them of trying to murder us."
The bell rang and most of the students dispersed. Spencer looked at me sternly and said. "If you don't talk to her then this will keep happening. She's angry at us, she will come around with you."
All four girls walked away from me. I gulped. I didn't understand why I was so nervous to talk to the girl I once loved. To be quite honest, I was scared of her and there was no denying that.
After school, I had swim practice. I pretty much avoided the other girls all day so they wouldn't pester me. I chickened out, I actually planned to shoot her a text and see if she would come over and order food to talk.
But before I could even get to swim practice, I had to pee. I raced to the bathroom once the final bell had rung.
I opened the door to find Alison Dilaurentis standing in front of the mirror. She was wrapping a bandage around her hand. She looked stressed out and nervous.
Curious, I slowly walked up to her. "Hey Ali!"
She didn't even shift her gaze to look at me. Her attention was fixated on wrapping her bandage around her hand. "Look, I just want to talk to you," I said softly, standing next to her.
She ignored me breathing heavily. I placed my hand on her shoulder and lied. "Look, i felt bad with the way I talked to you earlier.
Alison sighed and continued bandaging her hand. "I'm not in the mood for a conversation."
"I know that and-" I tried to interject
"Just stay the hell away from me." She said sharply.
Alison immediately collected her things and I placed my hand on her bandaged hand. "Is something the matter?" I ask.
She tensed up and accidentally dropped all of her stuff. She growled in frustration. I kneeled down and helped place some of her things into her bag.
Alison looked up and her eyes darkened. "I know you are trying to help. But I don't need it."
"But I know pigskin does,"The beautiful blonde stood up and smirked. "I heard about your little romance with her. That makes you weird, Em."
I tensed up at the mention of my ex. "Save it, forget we even had this conversation.
Alison sneered as she slowly walked away, purposefully bumping her shoulder against mine, she gave me one last cold look before stalking off.
I was pissed. She was still the same old Alison. What was her fucking problem towards Paige. Had she not learned her lesson from being in jail for over a week.
I guess Alison Dilaurentis is still the same girl after all. Jail couldn't even soften her cold heart at all.
I realized I was so wrapped in my own thoughts and anger that I forgot to confront her.
Oh Fuck.
