Hi! Sorry it took so long to update. Crap literally hit the fan and I have barely had time to breathe. I closed the poll and nobody voted, so I'm going to change some stuff. I'll go back and redo everything and update all of the chapters to be correct, but I'm going to change Sam to now be a senior and Katherine will be a junior that is a year ahead that way she'll graduate with Bella and the other Cullens as well as Sam. That way I can also get to the second Transformers movie faster and finish up the Twilight portions of this story. Here is a quick timeline for everything: Katherine sees the murder in her sophomore year while Will is in Qatar, Mission City happens a month after, and Kat spends the summer at home until she goes to Forks. If you started this story after this chapter is posted, then everything will be updated for you. Shout out to Smiling cat from down under, Kisame Hoshigake, and Prue162 for following and/or favoriting my story! For the links, go to Youtube and then attach the rest of the links to after the .com. Shall we continue?

Disclaimer: I don't own anything Transformers or Twilight, all I own is Katherine, students that were hurt/died in the attack, and the plot.

Just breathe

Weeks passed with nothing really exciting going on, but it was now time for exams. We had midterms for our classes that will continue next semester and finals for our classes that only lasted one semester. I think the Cullens were the only ones that weren't worried about any of these exams. But they've done high school more times than I could count, so they weren't worried for a good reason.

I was practicing in my room since Bella was at the Cullens studying and Uncle Charlie was working. I wanted to make sure I was ready for the performances we were required to do in music class. We had already done the solo performances and all we had left was our group performances, which was going to be a concert open for everyone to come see on Thursday night. Hearing the front door open, I made my way downstairs to see who it was.

I gave a friendly smile to my cousin and her boyfriend, the former of which looked exhausted, "How'd your studying go, Bella?"

My cousin groaned and trudged her way past me without giving another answer. Raising an eyebrow, I turned to look down at the vampire and he gave a small chuckle, "She's tired of trying to figure out her math exam. How is your studying going?"

I rubbed the back of my head as a blush dusted my cheeks, "Kinda been putting it off. I've been too busy practicing for the performance."

He nodded in understanding before slipping out of my way as I went to make some dinner. He and I had practiced for weeks together, so we were ready, but it was always nice to practice. I wasn't a big cook like Bella, so I went with something easy: mac and cheese. I knew my cousin would come down when either Edward grabbed her or she smelled dinner cooking. I also quickly threw together a salad to appease Ratchet and Carlisle since I know Edward and Chromia would tattle on me if I didn't eat something healthy.

I love them, but sometimes it would nice to eat unhealthy once.

"I heard that, Kat."

Of course you did.

I rolled my eyes at Edward before turning back to my dinner. Right as it was done, I heard Bella basically stomping down the stairs and I divided the Mac and cheese into two bowls and put the salad on the table for her to take however much she wanted. Edward was sitting in one of the chairs and he smiled when Bella decided to use him as a seat instead of sitting in another chair.

A small prick of jealousy hit me as I found myself wishing Sam was here. We hadn't spent much time together before I had to flee from the Oliver family. Edward's topaz eyes jumped to me from where he'd been watching Bella and I hurried to turn my attention to my food. I wasn't in the mood for him to try and do therapy.

"Your studying going good, Kat?"

I shrugged at Bella as I swallowed the bite I had been chewing, "I forgot to study. Been busy practicing for Thursday, so studying hasn't been high on my list of priorities."

Stuffing my mouth full of another bite, I avoided her stern gaze, "You need to study. Just because you're a year ahead, doesn't mean you get to slack off."

I flipped her off as I continued to eat and Edward chuckled at us, "My siblings and I will tutor her, Bella. Don't worry."

My eyes rolled towards the ceiling because tutoring could help, but I preferred to study on my own. I wasn't one for group study sessions and I probably would never be. It was just too much of a hassle going the pace of others and studying their way. If we even studied since the last few group sessions I went to were basically just gossip sessions.

After I finished eating, I excused myself to go to my room cause I needed to study. I may be a year ahead, but I would need to study to pass some of these exams, especially math. Turning on my laptop, I hooked it up to my speaker and turned on Spotify to listen to some instrumental music. I then hesitated as I looked between my bed and my desk before sighing and making my way to my desk. I knew I wouldn't focus very well if I sat on my bed.

I barely noticed the outside light changing colors until it was black and I looked up in surprise at how long I had been able to actually study. Rubbing my eyes, I leaned back in my chair and stretched a little. I felt the release as my spine popped all the way and a sigh escaped my mouth as the tension left. My mind froze when I realized it was 1 in the morning. Oh...guess I should get some sleep.

Groaning, I stood and turned off the lights before collapsing into my bed as I escaped to the blackness of dreams. I finished my next couple of exams until it was finally Thursday and time for the concert. I was up in my room rooting through all of my clothes to figure out what to wear. The teacher was requiring us to wear concert dress, which is basically slacks and a button-up for the guys while girls had to wear skirts or dresses, but still follow the school dress code. I had literally every dress and skirt I owned currently lying on my bed as I stared at them all.

I heard a knock on my door and I looked over my shoulder as it opened to let Alice and Rosalie in, "Hey, girls. Why're you two here?"

They both greeted me with smiles and hugs before the pixie bounced lightly on her toes, "Edward mentioned you have to dress up tonight and that you've been up here worrying already for a couple hours. Rose and I came to help since you haven't decided yet. What are your options so far?"

Leading them over to the bed, I showed them the three options I was debating between as my top choices. The first option was a sleeveless emerald dress that reached my knees in front and curved down to have the tip of the back around my ankles with a slightly darker shade of green belt wrapped under where the boobs would be. My second option was a sunshine yellow dress with a sweetheart neckline and lacy yellow sleeves that went a little below my elbow with the hem of the dress reaching just below my knees. My third and final option was a scarlet dress that had a sweetheart neckline with a lighter shade of red lace covering up to my collarbone, sleeves that covered my shoulders with small crystals sewn on to glisten, and a hem that reached an inch above my knee on the left side with the right side hanging down to mid-calf.

I watched the two girls begin speaking at a speed only vampires could accomplish and I patiently waited for them to finish discussing. Their speech sounded like a quiet buzz like the sound of a bee flying. You could only hear it if you were paying attention and trying to understand. Then again, it could just be an enhancement from my connection with the pack that allows me to hear the vampires this much. Rosalie finally turned her head to glance down at me, "Is there one you're leaning towards?"

Shrugging, I rubbed my shoulder a bit as I studied the three options I had picked out of all my other options, "Well, I'm leaning more towards the yellow and red ones cause I'm not super comfortable showing off my scars yet."

They looked back to each other and began their odd buzzing again. I leaned against the wall as they continued to debate because I was more than comfortable staying out of that argument. Each girl picked up a dress and help it up to me before they nodded in unison, "Red it is."

I snorted, "Took you two that long to decide that? I thought your minds were faster than that."

Rosalie rolled her eyes at my teasing, "Alice was fighting for the yellow dress. We both agree it looks adorable on you, but red is more suited for a Christmas concert performance."

I nodded before shooing them out, so that I could get dressed. Slipping on the red dress, my body slightly protested the movement as my scars pulled oddly. Once the dress was on and I had adjusted it to sit correctly, I pulled on black stiletto heels with a two inch heel. I peeked outside my room before hurrying to the bathroom to do my makeup because I didn't want anyone to see me until I had finished. I painted my nails a scarlet red and painted my lips with a shade of red that almost matched my nails. Turning my focus to my eyes, I gave myself a smokey cat-eye before lightly sprinkling on some silver dust to give some shine.

Gazing at myself in the mirror, I smiled at the fact that I looked a little older and more mature, which is what I was going for since I'm almost out of high school and don't want people to think of me as a kid. I did a quick curl on my hair before pulling the top layer back in a black clip adorned with red swirls to keep it out of my eyes. I slipped in music note earrings and then put my tracker around my neck.

I stared at the necklace for a second before sighing and unzipping the dress to hide the necklace under the fabric. As much as I love it and showing off my Autobot pride, it would really stick out against this dress. Taking a deep breath, I opened the bathroom door and made my way downstairs to see Uncle Charlie waiting with Bella and Edward, who had a scarlet tie on with his suit to match my outfit, for me. My cheeks practically burst into flames as they all complimented me and I climbed into my uncle's police car as Edward drove Bella in his Volvo.

My eyes were closed as I mentally ran over my sheet music in my head and my hands idly tapped out the song on my thighs. I felt the cruiser come to a stop and accepted the help in getting out from whomever opened my door. I turned to thank whoever it was before gasping in shock because, instead of one of the Cullen men or my uncle, I found my boyfriend standing behind me in black slacks and a white button-up shirt with a black tie loosely wrapped around his neck, "Hey, beautiful."

I leaped forward to wrap my arms around him in a tight hug as he did the same, "Hey, handsome." Leaning back to look at his face, I smiled at finally seeing him again, "What're you doing here? I thought I wouldn't see you until I came home."

His dark brown eyes lightened as he gazed down at me before he glanced to the side and I followed his eyes to see the Cullens, Bella, my uncle, Bee's holoform, Chromia's holoform, and the wolves, "Let's just say I had some help."

I grinned my thanks to everyone before Sam's lips caught my own in a soft, chaste kiss. We broke apart after a second and I rolled my eyes at the whistles and catcalls from some of the wolves and Emmett, "And moment ruined. Thanks, boys. Come on, Edward and I need to get backstage for instructions."

We all headed in and I gave Bee a quick, but tight, hug, which he returned just as tightly. Edward and I made our way backstage to meet up with the other students and our teacher while the rest of our group went to take their seats. Edward and I were the only ones doing a duet while everyone else were either doing trios or quartets, so we were already going to stand out. Our teacher was chirping and buzzing around worse than Alice when discussing fashion. Nerves were racing through my body as everything began moving and people got ready for their performance.

Edward and I were the ending number, so part of me was happy we weren't first, but I also hoped we would actually have an audience since many people leave once whoever they came for is done. Edward did his best to keep me calm as I continued to pace and stress. Pre-performance jitters are the worst because all you can think about is everything that could possibly go wrong. I distracted myself by turning to my violin and tuning it up.

I knew it was tuned the other day, but weather changes every day and makes stringed instruments go out of tune. Thankfully, I didn't need to tune it much, so I warmed up with scales and playing bits of the song Edward and I were doing. Finally, it was our turn and I took a deep breath as Edward squeezed my shoulder before we walked out on stage, denying the need of music stands since we both had our piece memorized. The vampire stood beside me, but he let me do the speaking for some reason. I noticed that a few people had left and half the auditorium was still full, which didn't really help my nerves at all.

Silently steeling myself, I put on a smile as I stepped up to the mic because we have to introduce ourselves and what song we're playing, "Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Katherine Lennox and this is Edward Cullen. We will be performing Carol of the Bells by Mykola Leontovych. Thank you for your time and we hope you enjoy."

I turned the mic off before stepping back as Edward took his seat at the piano including to the whole tailcoat move you see from fancy pianists. Nodding to me, I took a deep breath and lifted my violin to my shoulder and readied my bow to play. I nodded back and we began with a grin on my face and a small smile on Edward's face. We played seamlessly thanks to all of our hours of practice and we ended with a standing ovation. Edward stood and we bowed together once he was up beside me.

My face was going to split in two from how big I was smiling and Edward threw an arm around my shoulders as we headed offstage. After receiving congratulations from our peers and teacher, I packed up my violin and we left to meet our families. Uley swept me into a bear hug with the rest of the wolf pack joining before releasing me to hugs from the Cullens and then my family. The Cullens and wolf pack headed back to their homes while Sam took me to the diner for a dinner date and my uncle took Bella back to their house.

As much as we both love Bee, Sam and I wanted a date alone and we were awarded that privacy for once. Sam took a sip of his Coke as our orders arrived, "So how're you liking Forks?"

I shrugged and ate a fry before answering, "I like it. I've always liked the forests more than the beaches, so that's nice, but I miss home. I miss the Bots and the base and all my friends. It's hard up here without all of you guys, but I've made lots of friends and most have become family."

We paused our discussion to eat our burgers and fries before he took me back to my uncle's house and he headed back to the only motel in Forks. I wiped my make-up off before throwing on pajamas and crashing on bed. Thankfully, I only had my electronics to take back home and they were already packed, so I didn't have to worry about that. Morning came too soon and then I was on my way home with the Cullens, Bella, Chromia, Bumblebee, and Sam.

Now if only my dad was home.
